Eddie and Richie blinked at each other, stunned to see one another in such a strange coincidence. Eddie still had his hand up, but Richie still hadn’t took it. Richie merely brought his hand up that held the cigarette, taking a drag and allowing the toxic waste to decay against his lungs. Eddie visibly cringed at the sight, but stayed silent; he only continued to watch in hope that Richie would somehow step down. Richie took away the small stick, blowing the smoke out slowly and staring at Eddie through his large obnoxious eye glasses.

“Why are you here, Eds?” Richie asked, as if a day hadn’t passed since they last talked.

Characters: Dean Winchester x Sister!Reader / Friend!Reader, Sam Winchester x Sister!Reader / Friend!Reader, Bobby, John

Length: 1663+ words

TW: Suicide. Depression. Abandonment. Dean being a jerk.

A/N: Another word vomit that I did when I couldn’t sleep last week. I just had the idea in my head for the whole night, and I knew if I didn’t write it down, I wouldn’t be able to remember it the next morning. So, here it is! Feedback is encouraged!

SERIES MASTERLIST

The thing about the Winchester family was that they collect family like one would collect dolls. They have a lot of family around the State, any of them willing to do anything for the brothers. They always had a saying.

Family doesn’t end in blood.

Except it does. They can say it as many times as they want, but there isn’t anything they wouldn’t do for the family. Their blood family.

You were 4 when you were collected by John, and shipped off to Bobby’s. You were basically raised alongside the brothers from then on. Sam being a year older than you, and his brother, Dean, being 5 years older than you.

You were 5 when Dean ran out of breakfast. Bobby, and John were gone on a hunt, leaving 10 year-old Dean in charge. There was half a single granola bar left, and he looked uneasily between you and Sam, both of you had complained about being hungry. He gave you a strange look, and even though you were 5, you knew what it meant. Afterall, John gave you the same look when he told you why you can’t come home to your parents. It was also the same look that Bobby gave you when you asked about your parents. The look of guilt. You turned away, not being able to handle the fact that his decision had already been made when he was 4, and the responsibility of Sam’s livelihood was thrusted into his hands.

“Not hungry,” you mumbled, despite your roaring stomach. Sam’s eyes lit up with glee as he snatched the snack from his brother’s hand, and you can see Dean’s face visibly relax.

“Sammy’s my responsibility. You understand, right?” Dean asked, a hopeful smile on his face.

You gave him a nod, hopping off the chair, and went back to your bed, hoping you can sleep away the hunger.

  14.  Counter Attack Web series - QingYu for the win xDD. they are sooooo married. I also recommend their photoshoot sessions, more kissing scenes than the series xD loving the doctor’s cow licked hair, kawaiiii xD
  15.  Addicted/Heroin Web Series - Sweetest punk I ever watched really. I wish for uncut scenes! and I demand a continuation!
  16. ***Ame to kisu - Love this movie! it made me read the manga and you will love how cute the uke is and how the story was very well portrayed in the movie
  17. *** The right man - there are only a few BL movies/series who would portray the love of a parent and their worries. i loved this film because other than the love story unfolding, the relationship between the mother and the son progresses too <3
  18. Yandaixie No.10- honestly, the story has a lot of promise! it was very good but I didn’t like how the first season ended being them still in bad terms…then hearing that there won’t be a second season!!!! or so i heard.
  19. ***SOTUS - hazers! hihihi. if you’re ooking for a cute-tsundere uke then this is what you’re looking for! it has the all goody kissing scenes and a very good college plot. very recommended
  20.  Love’s Coming - Nai x Gump xDDD
  21. Love Place 2(Shiawase no Katachi)- A continuation of Love Place 1. Finally an English sub that I’ve been waiting! Typical BL story, most of the time you can read in a manga but you can feel the characters feeling very deeply!
  22.  Grey Rainbow - Has every thing I want in a BL,marriage, sweet moments and even a kid! and it also has something I didn’t like…death! why!?!
  23.  Doushitemo Furetakunai - the story is great and is really based on the manga. Loved the characters. this is my first BL ever just forgot to post teehee :P !!!
  24. ***HIStory webseries: My Hero - so this is one of the ghost themed BL. Comedic. but I do not like that the ghost girl experienced all the sweet moments using the boy’s body. oops spoiler. BTW the seme is sooo hot *wink*
  25.  To you for me–chocolates - I laughed at this BL so much. It really portrayed the case of miracles to two people that should be in love. wonder when it will end?
  26.  Paternity Leave - you’ll love it, Mpreg xDD
  27.   eCupid - movie about the greatest app for semes who take advantage of their uke’s love xD
  28.  Just Friends? - hottest and sweetest forbidden love I have ever watched!! sadly it was tooooo short for a very good plot movie xD
  29.  Udagawachou de mattete yo - sooo cute! as in supeer!!! one of the best live action next to Doushitemo Furetakunai <3 <3
  30. ***HIStory Webseries: Stay away from me - brother’s theme! yehey! though I wished for more sweetness. the eyes of the uke seem to catch my attention a lot in a not so okay way. but I STILL LOVED IT.
  31.   Two Weddings and a funeral - I loved the comedy aspect of it. It mainly focused on the life of gays and how the ‘two weddings” conquered it with love. but why Tina !?!?! why ?!?!?!
  32.   My Bromance - I love the on-relationship scenes but I just hope the ending was not when one dies. I bawled for this one,it’s like rising you up,then pulling you dooown, why!?!?!?waaah! But the story was really good!
  33.  Happy together - loved the couple sooo much! being 6 years together, those fights and make-ups seems like a typical married life
  34. Oppressive Love - half-horror and half BL and they actually became a couple! to bad the older brother had to possess him…ooops spoiler ;-P
  35.  Ai no kotodama 2
  36. ***Bad romance the series - another side story BL but because they started the series already together and the ending was so sweet so it is okay.
  37. ***I’m here our twelve years is a reincarnation legend - short shounen ai chinese BL. if you’re on to watching just the sweet, innocent stuff, then this is good for you :)
  38.  Takuya and Joon jae “the lover” - you may be a bit disappointed because it is missing some smexy moments like kissing and “you-know” but the story is great with lots of laughs and sweetness. hoping for season 2
  39. ***Love Complex - this is a thai series but the BL part is a side story and doesn’t develop much though it is still on the first two episodes. some of you may not like it because it is on a side story but promise, the main story is very funny.
  40.  Docchi mo Docchi - may be low budget, but that romcom theme was perfectly executed xD sooo funny xD
  41.  Itsuka no kimi e - loved the story so much. It was like reading Junjou Pure Heart again xD soooo cute! Wishing for more kiss scenes though.
  42.  Ai no kotodama 1
  43.  Seven Days Monday-Thursday, Friday-Sunday - perfectly executed as of those of the manga
  44. Hollyoaks (Ste and Harry) - lots of problems; closet gay, HIV, parents are against, even teachers then there are also cocaine involvement. wut?! haha but the story and how they still get back together is what makes it great.
  45.  Diary of Tootsies - Very very funny!! as in very funny! but they left Gus and Top’s story hanging, which is what I’ve been waiting…sigh
  46.  Fujimi orchestra live action - it’s like the BL version of Nodame Cantabile. the movie needs a sequel. it’s not that they did not end up together but the movie ended with the seme still pursuing the uke xD
  47.  Go go go G boys - very funny, packed with hot bishies. Last part after credits is a must seen
  48. Farewell my ghost boyfriend - short movie. I’m not on vote on the new ship. i still wish there was some kind of miracle for the ghost. huhu
  49.  Love Place - I preferred the part two (2) than the first one, more Bl action, though it is still not translated
  50.  Boku no Kareshi wo Shoukai Shimasu - was hoping for more kiss scenes xD
  51.  Gloomy Salad days - ep13-14 only. Hidoku Shinaide story, bully and the bullied. You’ll be hoping for more.
  52.  Love of Siam - honestly, a good plot, really. It just needs some tweaks on that bad ending, urgh. Hoping for season 2 to change it.
  53. I’m yours - a one-sided love of a robot to a human and he’s quest to help the guy to achieve love. it was badly cut, I don’t know. it was missing some parts when I watched it so I am still heavily confused.
  54.  Love next door 2 - Watched XD but still looking for subs. but very promising especially in terms of comedy and hotness.
  55.  Mr x and I - First Season: First and Second story only, the other two has horrible ending, I advise this to those who do not wish to see a sad ending. Second Season: Loved the ending, hated the hetero guy, urggghh
  56.   Princess Princess D - actually, this is a live action adapted from a shoujo manga. full of fanservice and crossdressers and will leave you laughing at the clichès and corniness.
  57.  Love next door - the story escalated quickly and the ‘love’ (sweetness) I was searching for was too short in the plot.
  58.  A Pair of Love - so-so xD
  59.  Time line - Watch the first couple only, and/or the last one. never ever the second one, it still gives me goose bumps till now
  60. Me my familiar people - uhhh…actually I didnt quite get the story. it was soo confusing. its like he has s*x to another then I don’t know maybe his bestfriend too?
  61.  Teacher and student - because I was expecting that light, romantic theme I was deeply disappointed by that twist as it turns out to be too psychological. One of my least favorites next to Kindan no Koi.
  62.  Kindan no koi - simple……i hated it. the plot twist at the end was just tooo much, really, too much. Still a good movie though, but definitely my least favorite.

This is an edited list XD those with *** are newly posted as of April 4. Will update for more lateerrr! Ask me for links if ever you are interested xDDD hehehe

I just want you to know that there are worlds out there safe in the sky because of her. That there are people living in the light and singing songs of Donna Noble a thousand million light years away. They will never forget her, while she can never remember. And for one moment, one shining moment, she was the most important woman in the whole wide universe.

The Lost Special: The One Way to Tie Up Every Loose Thread

In the last month this corner of the Sherlock fandom has thrown out a multitude of ideas for a narrative that could potentially resolve every last inconsistency in Sherlock series 4. Not knowing it, this community has debated different readings – all perfectly valid with only minor holes in logic – but have missed how they might all fit together into an intricate puzzle, each reading validating the other.

I have found one way to connect every loose thread.

Topics resolved include:

– EMP Theory vs “TFP as John’s TAB”: why both readings are meant to be exposed to the viewer (but we just found them too early)
– Benedict’s insanely long monologue they mentioned him having in Series 4.
– How another episode would only be comprised of a few new scenes
– Mary’s character development drifting far from her original plotline
– Moffat’s Doctor Who narrative that includes Toby Jones as a Dream Lord and what that means for Amy in “Amy’s Choice” and Sherlock in The Lost Special.
– How POVs intertwine in TFP, and how TPLOSH inspired the way The Lost Special would end.
– The entire bizarre nature of Series 4
– Breaking the 4th Wall
– The focus in The Six Thatchers on “The Duplicate Man”, “Twins”, “Two places at once”, and “Dead AND alive”.
– Three Garridebs
– Benedict claiming “Love conquers all” while Steven Moffat facepalms.

So if you want to know the one way this could all work, check out the rest of this post. But hear me out until the end, suspend your disbelief until you’ve finished, because regardless of whether or not you believe we’re getting The Lost Special, this reading which combines everything we’ve talked about for the last year is definitely arguable and until something else gets proposed, it is the one I’m sticking with til the bitter end.

ok but is no one gonna talk about

keith

and how he was???? willing to die???? during episode 6?

like all throughout the series we see this. common theme of the greater good > the individual

and it seems keith really believes in that concept. he’s seen people sacrifice themselves for the cause. im talking about ulaz and thace and like. a whole lot of others. like, really admirable individuals who have paid the ultimate price for ensuring voltron’s– and the universe’s– safety

and tbh as a blade of marmora soldier, he did a splendid job of being one???? he determined that unless the force field was broken and haggar’s ritual was stopped, he and his friends and like. millions of lives would be lost so he was totally prepared to crash his ship into the force field to break it. he focused on what was necessary, and put aside his own needs to prioritize everyone else’s

despite how proud i am of him i was so dang close to crying the whole time keith just accepted his fate. drove his ship faster through space. and prepared to give his life for both those he never met, and those he loved

idk about you but i love keith kogane v much thx

Richie found himself alone in his car, driving home at roughly 8pm that night after his adventurous day with Eddie, his cravings for the cigarettes only growing stronger by each given second but his refusal to disappoint Eddie lurked on his shoulders. He was going to change for the better, just for Eddie.

His hands gripped at the leather wheel, his red truck gliding down the familiar roads with the faint radio humming along in the background. The melody intertwined itself through the vehicle, one of his favourite artists playing to soothe his road anxiety that he’d keep a secret.

6 Reasons Why Series Books Are Great for Kids/Less Practiced Readers

1. They like them.

If you want someone to get  into reading, they need to like the material. If it gets someone to read, that’s the most important thing.

2. Series books mean recurring characters in a familiar setting.

This allows readers to practice reading without having to learn a whole new cast of characters and a whole new universe to become familiar with.

It might not seem like a big deal to you or me, but to someone who’s still learning to read it takes off a huge part of the stress of picking up a new book, as it means they can focus on the reading and not on learning new info.

3. They help readers learn how to pick up things like foreshadowing and clues.

Because series books tend to follow a certain formula (e.g. in Harry Potter Harry starts at the Dursley’s, goes to Hogwarts, has some subplots surrounding a mystery, then faces Voldemort or another villain) readers start becoming trained to pick up certain clues.

If you ever read any Goosebumps as kid (or Nancy Drew, etc), go back and re-read a copy. I’ll bet you’ll be able to pick out the twists before they happen. That’s because now you know what to look for, even if subconsciously.

4. They build up a child’s confidence in their reading abilities.

Children like big numbers.

Reading lots of short books in a small period of time feels really impressive and satisfying to them. Remember bragging  to your friends about how you read THREE WHOLE BOOKS over the weekend? Did the fact they were shorter books ever matter?

5. Series books don’t  discourage kids from reading more complex material. They encourage them.

Less practiced readers tend to read in cycles – they’ll read a few series books then pick up something more challenging then read some easier books, and so on.

Eventually the series books become too predictable and readers move on to the next level on their own.

Series books are like taking breaks between climbing up a hill – if you go too fast you crash and decide it’s too hard to keep going. If you pace yourself you make it to the top.

6. Nearly all heavy readers and book lovers began with series books.

Literally.

Research on reading repeatedly find that heavier readers began by practically inhaling any and all series books they could find, until they got to a point where they were too good at a certain reading level and moved on to the next one (all the while trying a harder book every now and then).

That’s certainly  how I learned.

The first books I read in English were Clifford and Biscuit. Then I moved on to Little Critter and Franklin the Turtle books. I soon moved to chapter books like Magic Tree HouseBailey School Kids, and Captain Underpants.

By Grade 6 (roughly a year after learning English) I scored “Grade 12 or higher” in the provincial reading ability test.

So I’ve been watching Black Sails and uh…well…here’s another WIP.

Once again, super dark bg and super dark pants make it really difficult to tell where the legs are :/ Anyway, I’ve finished the rotoscoping part and have some key frames added, now I just need to do some inbetweens and refine the timing and stuff :P

Not sure if I’m gonna have silver remain motionless for the first half? I’ve been watching some animated stuff and it seems weird how often that actually happens? But I was thinking, maybe I’ll just do some movement in the hair? Otherwise it does come off as a bit unnatural?

Discworld for Beginners

So, I just typed this out in a group chat because I got carried away and I thought I would make it into a post since some people might be interested in Terry Pratchett’s amazing comedy fantasy series, Discworld. So here are some great starting points.

1) Guards! Guards!
Cop noir about a drunk city watch captain and the beginning of his arc towards becoming an amazing city watchman. The series as a whole focuses a lot on racial and class prejudices as well as, of course, crime.

2) Mort
About a young boy becoming apprentice to Death. Death is one of the most beloved characters in all of Discwold and his novels focus a lot on humanity, what it means to be human and the nature of the universe.

3) Wyrd Sisters
My personal favourite series, but this isn’t the first book featuring The Witches, but a better starting point than the first one (Equal Rights, if you really want to start there, but it’s rough). This novel is largely a play on Macbeth, but the series expands to play on fairy tails, fey and other storytelling tropes and what it means to be a witch who cares for a community.

4) Wee Free Men
A soft reboot of The Witches focusing on a young woman learning to become a witch and is possibly one of the best YA leads of all time. The series really is about growing up and responsibility. (There is a metric tonne of stuff I can say and unpack about Tiffany and her books, but this is a short post). Probably the best starting book as it stands alone very well, is largely disconnected from Discworld as a whole to begin with and is Pratchett at his best.

5) Going Postal
A beautiful disaster of a human being who is a conman becomes a the head of the postal service and a captain of industry. Hijinks ensue and the novel becomes a defamation of capitalism as a whole.

6) Monstrous Regiment
A fantastic stand alone about a girl joining an all male army to find her brother who went off to war and didn’t come back. Talks a lot about gender roles and has a few trans characters.

Disclaimer!
Terry Pratchett tackles a lot of social, moral and occasionally religious issues in his Discworld series and as much as I love his writing, there is a significant lack of racial and sexual diversity in his writing.
Also, please do not read the first 3 books of the series to start your Discworld experience, doing that is like eating raw flour and eggs to see if you like cake.

TPTB regarding the fuckiness of S4
  • Gatiss: "We really didn't have much of a budget to work with--"
  • Moffat: "Yeah, we really don't get as much money to play around with as you think we do."
  • Gatiss, a year ago: *Rents Aston Martin*
  • Moffat, a year ago: *Films in Morocco*
  • Vertue, a year ago: *Hires a helicopter*
  • Gatiss: "Tis a shame, really. Nothing we could have done."
  • Moffat: "Any mistakes you see are just because of that darn low budget!"
  • Gatiss: "Not even enough money to fix those pesky lightbulbs! Pity."
  • Moffat: "Definitely no other reason for set inconsistencies in our otherwise meticulous show."
  • Gatiss: "You see."
  • Moffat: "That's the whole of it."
  • Gatiss: "The budget."
  • Moffat: "The budget."
  • Gatiss: "Nothing we could do."
  • Moffat: "Nothing we could do."
  • Gatiss: "I don't know why people don't believe us when we explain ourselves!"
  • Moffat: "Yeah, we're being very honest."
  • Gatiss: "Mmm yes, honest."

I think one of Mofftiss big problems is that they think the success of Sherlock is due to them. When actually the success of Sherlock is mostly due to Ben and Martin as Sherlock and John and their fantastic chemistry and great acting.

You separate John and Sherlock or have a chaperone there the whole time, as was done in S4,  and their pretty lackluster writing really starts to shine through.

“Poor, poor lovesick child,
There’s still fire in your belly and your heart is still wild.”

I don’t think anything will ever bring me as much joy as watching Book 3 and 4 of Legend of Korra after reading the comics. I feel like I’m watching it with fresh eyes knowing that Korra and Asami were indeed falling for each other throughout those seasons, and that all those smiles and stares truly meant something. The comics gave me a whole new appreciation for all of their moments through out the series, and that’s saying something considering I’ve loved their love since the beginning. I guess seeing it continue to be validated and explored upon more throughout the comics has made it even more real for me than it already was.

In 2 years we got 4 amazing seasons, each with their own values and message. In a series about love, friendship, kindness and so much more. A series about normal teenager and their problems. A series not only for teens but for every age. A series not only Norwegians could relate to but the whole world could. A series that thought us so much. A series that helped so many with their problems. A series that made us feel like we’re not alone. A series that changed our lives forever.

Thank you so much SKAM for all of this!

Just remember the entirety of Britain lost faith in Sherlock the moment his “whole life story” was exposed in The Reichenbach Fall. After that piece of media, the whole world thought Sherlock was a fake genius, a fraud, a liar, a deranged lunatic.

Also remember the entire Sherlock audience lost faith in BBC Sherlock the moment his “whole life story” was exposed in The Final Problem. After that piece of media the whole world thought BBC Sherlock was a fake genius, the project of two frauds, two liars, two deranged lunatics.
