thanks to everyone who helped out

Thank you

Thank you to Seán, who have been there as a friend for many people and not just some untouchable figure on the internet, for still interacting in the community despite of how large it’s growing everyday.

Thank you to the community for welcoming the new people with open arms, for staying the nicest and positive community. Thank you guys for not tearing each other down even though there might be some speed bumps from time to time, we always come out of it stronger than ever.

And last, but not least, thank you, the person reading this, for just being here. Without you, the community would not be the same. If you make art, gifts, edits, anything at all, keep on doing what you do because if you get inspired by something, take that inspiration and make something of it. To the people who don’t really post that much and who are just here supporting everyone; you’re just as important and amazing as everyone else! You help other people by reblogging, liking and replying to their work. You motivate the artists, gig makers, editors, etc. to keep on doing what they do.

Just because to don’t post much or maybe not at all, it doesn’t make you any less significant as the rest of the community

Klaine Advent 2017 Update

Hi Everybody! *waves*

Thanks to everyone for responding to the shout out for interest in a Klaine Advent for 2017!

I’m in the process of debriefing folks who have run it in previous years, and should have an official post outlining the details of the event this year a day or two after Thanksgiving. (Which is Thursday for the non-US folks).

We’ve had a couple of people come forward to volunteer to work up graphics for the daily prompt posts - so I think we’ll be set there, and a number of you lovely people have already offered to help in any way possible.

The thing that we need the most are people to help corral the daily roundups, so if you think you have time for that you can sign up here

Please add your tumblr handle, which days of the week are best for you, and if you’ve done the roundup thing before (because it’ll be helpful to have feedback on how it’s worked in the past as I am new to the running of things). These aren’t too complicated, but they can take a little time, so if we had enough people so everyone just had to do one or two that would be great.

In the meantime we can all help get the word out! Reblog this post, follow this here Klaine Advent blog if you don’t already, and start collecting all those lovely Klaine Christmas GIFs to post during the Klaine Advent 2017!

THANK YOU

Oh my gosh you guys. Thank you. Thank you for showing up in force. Thank you for coming out and making my night!
I just can’t express my gratitude enough to everyone who showed up and everyone who wanted to in spirit!

Getting to see the server come together and just have a collective night outside of the usual city-routine is always a treasure, and I’m so happy that I can help provide the experience to all of you.
♥♥♥♥

everyone’s monster designs have been so unique and different and we love seeing the wide spread of ideas b/c it’s honestly helping us out so much too

thank you again to everyone who’s contributed so far! hopefully we can have a new post up maybe by the end of the day to give back to you guys

(and it’ll be about brendon 👀)

I’m probably the least qualified person to be creating dragon aus, but I really wanted to give it a try ;7;;;

for @yoiauweek-2017!

5 kind things you could do today:
  • listen. listening is probably one of the most basic skills that we have acquired ever since. unfortunately, as we grow older, we tend to overlook the importance of listening and instead, most of us choose to talk, talk, and talk. thus this time, i challenge you to listen to someone. just listen. give them time to explain their side. listen to someone talk about their passion, their life, their love because remember: it is through listening that you will learn so much from people.
  • appreciate. this is one of the easiest thing to do because you literally don’t have to spend a lot of your time, energy, or money. the only thing you have to do is to compliment someone. tell someone you like their outfit, their makeup, their eyes. tell someone they chose the perfect color to match their hair. compliment someone because they deserve it and compliments are meant to be shared anyway. you will never know how important these comments are to certain people.
  • give out. it does not have to be something that costs you so much money or effort! it could be anything! a little note to cheer someone up! a short text message to make someone feel loved, an anonymous letter to someone who might need it. or you might even want to give out some wild flowers to someone who would like it. at the end of the day, it’s the thought that you made someone feel like they matter that counts! and that’s more than enough!
  • thank. if someone was extra nice to you today, thank them! thank your friends for sticking up with your crap. thank the adults who helped you grow. thank the little people- the security guard, the cafeteria lady, the bartender, the barista, the faculty of your school or your office. thank the people who deserve to be thanked. thank everyone who shaped you to become the person that you are right now.
  • offer. offering help to someone is literally one of the most precious, genuine, and heartwarming thing that you could ever do! you will never know how much they would need it since there are some who are not very vocal about their burdens! sometimes, all they need is a little nudge and a helping hand to speak up! bonus part: the person you help could also possibly help you in the future (not that you’re doing this for someone to owe you something).

maddie.santillan: Finally getting around to posting this!! Tb to when I had the honor of meeting Sean and Felix during the filming of scare pewdiepie! Unfortunately it’s cancelled so I can’t post videos but still I had an amazing experience helping out on set. Thank you so much to everyone who helped make this happen it means a lot!!”

look at me - i will never pass for a perfect bride

so i know i already made a retold mulan post but i just LOVE MULAN SO MUCH so here’s another

in the original myth mulan isn’t really a clumsy fish out of water. she’s strong and smart and the reason she goes to war is because she’s the most qualified person in her family to fight, regardless of gender.

so how about this: mulan’s a fighter. she knows exactly who she is, like in the original myth, she’s knows how to be the blossoming flower and the great stone dragon. she’s still mulan though, so she still doesn’t memorize the silly ways she’s supposed to be a good wife and has little patience for appearing graceful while pouring tea. she’s innovative and courageous and beautiful, but no one is under any illusions about what kind of wife she’ll be.

and the matchmaker is the matchmaker for the li family as well, for this great big part of china. and general li wants his son to be married before he goes off to war, wants his son to have a reason to fight to live, like a wife waiting for him. and the matchmaker reads the stars and the tea leaves and the astrology charts, and no matter what all the signs point to one thing: the honorable li shang is destined to marry the insolent, arrogant fa mulan.

the matchmaker isn’t going to let that happen, she refuses to be responsible for that disaster of a wedding. so she sends her most beautiful girls, the ones that are obedient and quiet and know their roles, the ones that are eager to marry into the li family.

and each of them are entertained and met and sent back. shang is many things, but smooth isn’t one of them, he has nothing to say to these quiet girls who smile at him, feels large and awkward around their polite smiles. so he and his father go to the matchmaker’s village, shang reluctantly and his father to demand she stops messing with them and provides a proper bride.

it’s on the day that mulan and the other girls are parading in the street. shang sees a girl - mulan - hurry into the end of the line, jumping over a bench and darting around a careening wagon to get there, and stifles a laugh.

then there’s no reason to laugh at all, because a group of huns have decided that this village is in their way, and attack.

everyone scatters, women hide, children hide, and most of the men do too. shang and his father join the fight with some of the other men who hadn’t hid, and these men are starved, clearly not with shan yu, so even though they’re outnumbered they’ll likely win.

shang sees a hun go to attack the girl he’d seen earlier, the girl for whatever reason hadn’t run and hid. the hun raises a sword above his head to strike her down, and shang is so sure he’s about to see this pretty girl lose her head.

but she doesn’t. instead she rolls out of the way, and pops up, headbutting him in the stomach. she takes his sword from his now-slack grip and plunges it into his chest. without hesitation or pause the girl joins the fight, swinging the sword expertly and cutting down every man who stands against her. soon they’re fighting back to back, and shang has never felt more in sync with another person. she cuts off the head of the last hun, and shang has never seen anyone more beautiful than this girl, dress ripped and make up smudged and covered in blood that isn’t hers.

“mulan,” one of the other girls says, peaking out of a store front, “is it over?”

the girl, mulan, looks out over the dozen dead men and says, grimly, “it’s barely begun.” she searches the crowd, finding and old man and yelling, “gather the bodies, we’ll burn that at dusk outside of the village. everyone else,” her eyes sweep across the gathered people, and shang is struck by the fact that this girl isn’t well liked. there’s anger and disapproval in many of the faces, but they’re listening. these people don’t like her. but they do trust her. “let’s clean this all up. these were bandits, not soldiers. there’s nothing more to fear.”

“what if there are more?” the other girl asks, arms wrapped around herself.

mulan raises her stolen sword and says, “then i will slice them to ribbons. this is our village, and this is our country. any who would try to take it from us - from me - will suffer the consequences.”

and it shouldn’t be comforting, hearing words of violence from this young girl, yet everyone around them relaxes, and gets moving, gather the bodies and tending the wounded.

“who are you?” his father asks, and someone who doesn’t know him might think he was angry, but shang can tell he’s impressed.

mulan turns to them and bows, “my apologies. i am fa mulan, daughter of fa zhou. thank you for helping us.” she stands, and shang meets her eyes for the first time.

he swallows, and blurts out, “you - you fight good.”

his father coughs to hide his laughter, but mulan’s eyes crinkle at the corners. “thank you. you do as well.”

and they just keep standing there smiling at each other until his father claps his hands and is like okay - they’ll have to report this to the emperor, no time to dawdle, have to go now.

so they take their leave, and shang thinks this is the last time he’ll see fa mulan.

except there’s still the draft, and this time mulan doesn’t take no for an answer, won’t hear of it. her father is injured and old and she is young and fit to fight. she will go in his place.

so she arrives at the camp, prepared to pretend and lie - except she goes to meet her commanding officer and it’s him, that boy who had fought with her. shang’s eyes widen, but they’re in front of too many people. he can see it on her face, her fear, and she hadn’t shown any fear when she was facing down over a dozen huns, but she does now. so he makes his choice and says nothing, pretends he buys her story.

she tracks him down that night and demands an explanation. he says this war is too important to kill good warriors, whatever gender they are. he swears to keep her secret. mulan is his best soldier from the beginning, and means to treat her like anyone else, but it’s impossible. she isn’t like anyone else, is strong and smarter and braver than them. they argue tactics, and she’s the only one who can give him a workout in hand to hand, and he doesn’t have trouble finding his words with her. he finds himself falling in love with her, but doesn’t say anything. she’s not here for love, she’s here for a war. he vows to say something if they survive this, but it’s unlikely that will happen.

they head to the front earlier. they get there in time to provide back up for his father and his army, and it’s a loss but not a slaughter. his father is too distracted to notice ping is the girl from the village. all he knows is this soldier had led the second wave of attacks, and it was thanks to her any of them were alive at all. they prevent half of the huns from getting through the pass, but that’s still an army heading for the imperial city. the general is injured, so mulan and shang lead the army after him.

they find him at the mountain, and just like before mulan uses the cannon to destroy the army. she knew it would spell their death, but it was worth it, for her people, for her country, for her family. this time it’s shang that won’t accept her death, that tries to drag her unconscious body to safety. only he fails, and mulan becomes buried under the snow.

they return to the city, and shang is besides himself - the woman he loves is dead, she saved them all and she’s gone, and he’ll never recover from this. only he can’t tell his father this, their friends. they think he mourns a friend, not the woman he wanted to make his wife.

except mulan survives, and sees the other huns as well. only she kills them there before they can get to the city, and decides this is for the best. fa ping dies honorably in battle, and fa mulan is free to return home to her family.

so general li decides that it’s time to go to that matchmaker again, and demand she stop playing games. the matchmaker confesses that she thought the bride was unsuitable, and the general demands she send her anyway.

so mulan has barely had the chance to settle back home when the matchmaker shows up at her door saying she’s sending her to see a potential husband, but not who. so mulan shows up all made up to li household and shang drags himself into the room, already resigned to a loveless marriage, when they see each other. “mulan?” he demands, and his father is all pleased because it’s the fighting girl from the village.

but then his son starts crying and they run to each other. shang picks her up in his arms and she clings to him, and shang is babbling about how he thought she was dead, and mulan is so overjoyed that she’s with shang, and shang wants her, that she kisses him without explaining.

except now shang’s father demands an explanation. so they give it to him, the whole story comes tumbling out, and he stares hard at her, and remembers her as ping, the brave soldier that had saved them all. he’s not upset - he ecstatic. he goes to the emperor and tells him everything, and the emperor officially offers mulan an officer position in the army. she accepts, as long as shang is by her side. shang seconds this, and they set in motion the plans for the wedding.

fa mulan and li shang get married and lead armies and live happily ever after, just like the stars intended.

Happy HalloweeeEEEEeeeen!

So I got to make this year’s Halloween Google Doodle and I thought I’d share some production art for it!

It was a long, crazy project (longest doodle we’ve ever made!), but I wanted to take the chance to tell a story I thought might resonate or maybe even help someone. After all, nothing is scarier than emotion.

Thank you to everyone who helped out along the way in making the video (Melissa Crowton, Cynthia Cheng, Sophie Diao, Helene Leroux) and everyone crazy enough to let me make a story for the homepage.

JINX HAS SO MANY FRIENDS NOW!!!

now that skam is ending I just really wanted to take the time and thank every single one of you who translated clips and chats and instagram posts for us non-Norwegian speaking people.

you helped grow and support an international community that would have never formed if it wasn’t for you. this season has been quite controversial with everyone having their own favourite characters and ships but in the end I think we all know how to appreciate skam for the amazing, realistic and relatable show that it is.

this goes out especially to Feudly, supbus, skamenglish, and everyone else. Thank you! This would not have been possible without you ❤❤

An Open Letter to the Hetalia Fandom

We are not the people we were before, we changed, and we can continue to change. Sure this fandom has done many horrible things in its early years and honestly I wasn’t even in the fandom at that point in time, and the point is some actions were plain wrong, we know, but it’s honestly disheartening.

Please, please, I’m calling out to the true fans who cares about this fandom I learned to call my family, let’s prove that we can do good, prove them wrong for the things they still think about us. I’ve met more real people than I could ever meet in the real world. Please, I’m begging you, don’t let this fandom die, don’t let them degrade us, prove that we are good people with good intentions, that we can be real mature people who can contribute to society. Make them see what I see, a fandom that welcomes all people no matter what age or race.

Please share the word.

((I am tagging people who made me see that hetalia isn’t as bad as people say, please help me get the word around.

@hetafacts for getting the truth around the fandom and keeping it alive.

@urufu-arts for being brave enough to stand up and make a fundraiser for the victims of the Hurricane Harvey.

@ask-demon-denmark for being a good friend, and to everybody else.

@annotated-hetalia for helping us connect with the world with real world facts from the hetalia comic strip and series

. @hetascanlations for translating Himaruya’s webcomic and sharing it to the world.

RT Extra Life 2017 was a tremendous success with over $1.2 million raised in support of the Dell Children’s Hospital, Texas.

This year, the Sorta Malicious community pulled together again to participate and frankly, we blew it out of the park.
We set loftier goals than last year, aiming for $5000 and Ryan set his own stretch goals to help out…

We met all of them and then some.

So, on behalf of this incredible community, thank you so much to everyone who donated or supported us and here’s to an even better 2018!

excited to share that i will be working at ign entertainment as a designer starting june 1! my first job out of school and what better way to start my career than to make stuff promoting video games :D

“Will I be the lead?” || Finn Wolfhard

Request: none

Characters: Finn Wolfhard x reader, Wyatt, Josh, Jake

Tense: 3rd person

Summary: Finn is back home and has some time to spend with his friends. Talking on rooftops, skating on the streets and sleepovers in the gardens.

A/N: In terms of this storyline, Finn and Wyatt have known each other for a while and all characters became a friendship group

Finn was finally back home after filming for over a year; he hadn’t seen his friends in that space of time until now. He got into his house to find Josh sat at the dining table eating leftover pizza from the Wolfhard’s fridge. He turned and smiled, mouth full, and waved as he got up quickly. He engulfed Finn into a hug and as he did, Finn noticed Wyatt sat with Jake. The two came and joined the hug, creating a large group hug. Finn stood looking around slightly.

“(Y/N) will be round later,” Wyatt said. “She has some things to do,” Finn nodded, somewhat embarrassed that Wyatt knew exactly who he was looking for.

The guys all sat around and talked for ages, mostly about nothing in particular, just general nonsense. They were all sat outside in front of Finn’s house on the front porch: Jake and Wyatt sitting in a swing seat, whilst Finn and Josh sat on chairs opposite.

“Yeah, but hypothetically speaking, you can’t just take it out of its shell, like it would kill it,” Wyatt spoke seriously, even though the subject they were discussing was completely random. The others nodded in agreement, humming like the topic was an actual debate of some sort.

Finn stroked his chin. “Yes but if it was then covered in, let’s say, the armour then it would be protected even more and it wouldn’t die, because it would replace the shell,” Josh clicked his fingers and nodded vigorously.

“No the bones of it are attached to it, it would destroy it then bleed to death,” Wyatt elaborated. “Armour would then make it worse and it would already be dead,” he said.

“If it’s attached,” Josh said. “Then why can they retract into their shells?”

“For this particular topic,” Finn said, sounding like he was from a posh and upper class area. “I’m going to say it wouldn’t kill it because this is complete fantasy, not reality,” everyone laughed.

“Fine,” Wyatt rolled his eyes jokingly. “But it’s able to retract because it’s the limbs of it, it has space in its shell to just go into itself.”

They were still sat on the front porch, when they noticed (Y/N) skate over. She stopped, picked up her board and then made her way up to the guys. Finn’s face instantly lit up, the two ran to each other, instantly hugging. The other guys shared glances with one another and then with Finn’s brother who was stood inside the house, but was definitely watching.

“You got taller,” she laughed as she now had to look up at him slightly. “I’m pissed,” he shrugged, laughing along with her. He couldn’t help but think why she had her beanie covering the entirety of her head, showing no hair apart from one tiny strand which he could’ve sworn was an odd colour.

“I haven’t skated in a while,” he said, referring to her board. “Do you mind if we do?” he asked, everyone else was up for it.

                                                          ***

“Your balance is better than it was,” she laughed. “You’re actually good now,” he looked at her and smiled.

“Learnt from the master,” he pointed in front of him towards Josh. “Which would be him,” She flicked Finn’s forehead and he pretended to be injured.

“Such a baby,” she rolled her eyes and skated away from him, causing him to get back on his board and follow her jokingly. He had one arm out in front and the other on his chest.

“Breaking my heart,” he said which made everyone laugh. They all started to skate towards (Y/N)’s house, which was where Finn’s parents now were.

Finn’s parents were close with (Y/N)’s, which was why Finn and her were as close as they were. They all stumbled into the house, heading straight for her room. Josh threw himself on her bed, Jake following suit, Wyatt took a beanbag chair whilst Finn took her desk chair. She sat on the floor, like she usually would whenever they were altogether as a group.

“The sunset is so nice,” (Y/N) said, looking out at the sky through the window. Everyone hummed in agreement.

“Remember when Wyatt almost fell off the roof?” Jake spoke up, barely able to get his words out through laughter. “Cracked me up so much.”

“Those times we’d sit on the roof and just make fake answers to actual questions,” She said, also barely audible through laughter. “I miss those times.”

“Let’s do it now, then,” Finn suggested, spinning around on the chair. Nobody had taken notice that he’d been doing it as soon as he sat down, more than likely the 10th time he’d spun around. “Why reminisce about doing it when we could just do it now?” He stood up, stumbling slightly with dizziness. He held out his arms and stayed still, “I’m all good.”

She opened the windows and one by one, they all crawled out the window to sit on the roof. All were laughing, talking about anything that came to mind, yet again nonsense. Finn’s eyes kept diverting to her unintentionally, which Josh had picked up on.

“Okay, okay,” she laughed. “But I know what I know,” she shook her head, stomach aching from laughing.

“Which is nothing?” Josh asked, causing her to reach over Finn and hit his leg. “You kneeded permission to do that,” you looked at him emotionless, whilst Finn sat laughing. Finn was finding anything and everything funny that night on the rooftop.

“I’ve done legitimate research,” Jake said, speaking with a serious tone. “There are a couple of things you don’t understand- also the world is flat,” he interrupted himself with his statement. Josh squealed a trailed ‘what?’ as Finn just stared from Jake to her and then back to Jake.

“And the moon landing was fake,” Wyatt pointed out. She raised her eyebrows in amusement.

Josh piped up, “Dude, I’m just glad that people are, like, being straight up with me for once, because I’ve never heard any of this shit,” everyone laughed. She patted his back in a joking comfort.

“I’m gonna go get a drink, anyone want anything?” She said, everybody shook their head, carrying on with their discussion, as she climbed back into the house through the window, heading downstairs. She went to the fridge and pulled out a Coke can. She took off her beanie, the hat that had been covering the entirety of her hair, and she placed the hat neatly on the dining table. She made her way back upstairs and as she walked into the room, Josh turned round from the roof. Widened eyes, he turned back round to the others. She climbed through and joined them in the place where she was originally sat.

“Oh, wow, you’re hair, it matches the sky,” Finn smiles, chuckling at his own statement, speaking softly. The sky at that very moment was a pink colour, something that happened at sunset. “I like it, it suits you.” All she could do is smile back, stroking her hair in flattery. Finn then kept making eye contact with each of the other guys, almost questioning if they knew she’d dyed her hair whilst he was away. It wasn’t a big deal to him but it had surprised him.

The group had eventually come down from the roof and were now in her back garden, putting up a tent. Finn and (Y/N) were planning to camp out in her garden for the night, after much begging to their parents. The guys had offered to help, knowing full well that the two of them putting it up together would take them until morning.

“No you need to give me that pole,” Wyatt shouted over to Josh who was stood opposite. “No, the other one,” Josh kept purposely picking up the wrong one, just to frustrate him. “Yes, thank you,” he caught the pole and attached it.

“It’s feeding time,” Jake said eagerly, referring to the part of pushing the poles through the material, which would keep the tent up and in place.

“I’ve already eaten,” Josh said seriously, everyone stopping and turning to him, hoping to see some evident look on his face that he was joking. They all found nothing. “I’m joking,” he reassured everyone.

Soon enough, the tent was up and secure. They’d all helped with sorting out the inside as well. The other guys had left after giving their goodbyes to the two friends and their families, who were sat inside. Finn and (Y/N) went inside to grab food, and then came back out to go into the tent.

“Haven’t seen you in a while,” she said, breaking the silence. “About a year, you look good, though.”

“So do you,” the two laughed at their conversation. “We sound like 35 year olds,” she nodded as she laughed.

“Yeah who lost touch after a break up and just reunited.”

“Oddly specific, but pretty movie-like,” Finn took a bite out of the chocolate bar in his hand.

“I love movies,” she said. “I wanna make some one day.”

“Will I be the lead?” he asked, sounding hopeful.

“Obviously, no one else would even need to audition, it’d be yours automatically,” she furrowed her eyebrows in a pretend ‘duh’ tone.

“What kind of film would it be?” He loved hearing her ideas for films or shows, he always admired her creativity which is why he was so interested in watching other directors do their jobs. It wasn’t always for his benefit, but for hers.

“I’m thinking an indie road trip,” She said, putting her arms out in front of her, acting as if there were a screen there as she paced out the words. “Pastel colouring, emotive music-“ She listed, tapping her fingers as she counted.

“Maybe some love?” he wiggled his eyebrows causing her to laugh.

She shook her head. “All platonic.”

“I love you,” Finn laughed. She smiled. “Always have this thing about you, you have such a creative mind, and I love it. This is why we’re friends,” He kept a constant eye contact, almost wanting her to believe he was telling the truth. “Talking about creativity, why’d you dye your hair?”

“I’ve always wanted to,” she explained, becoming self-aware. “I don’t really know, rebellious, I guess,” she shrugged. “I missed you,” she changed the subject.

“I missed you too,” his smile faded to him biting the inside of his lip. “But all you have to do is watch me in shit and you’ll be okay,” he tried making her feel better.

“I literally cried at stranger things two, dude,” she laughed, almost immediately regretting saying it, but her mouth was speaking before her mind could process the words needed. “It just reminded me of you coming back, you know? Emphasises how much you miss someone. This place isn’t the same without you.”

“Really?” he asked, surprised. He had thought that she would’ve been off doing things with new people or having more fun lately. “How so?” He was intrigued.

“People are so boring, they never want to do things like what we do. They don’t get me the way that you do, nobody has ever gotten me like you do.” Finn smiled.

“You’re a pretty hard person to understand,” he joked. “That’s why we get along so well.”

“How long are you here for?” she asked, lying on top of her sleeping bag. Finn copied, lying on his in the opposite direction. The two were top and tailing, Finn occasionally putting his foot on her face which caused her to tickle the underneath to get him to move it.

“I’ve got some interviews,” he explained, staring at the top of the tent. “So maybe two days?” he could hear her sigh. He instantly changed the subject as he noticed the raindrops on the tent material. “I remember you tried to convince everyone in our class that raindrops were God’s tears,” They both laughed. He sat up, eyes fixated on the droplet, and flicked the tent which caused the raindrop to fall.

“You’re so interested in the strangest of things,” she said before she was quickly eager to flick an oddly shaped droplet. The two spent the next few minutes focused on the raindrops, neither speaking but only giggling at their actions.

They both then sat back down, facing each other. “We’re such kids,” she shook her head, laughing to herself.

“Who says that’s a bad thing?” Finn questioned rhetorically. “I mean, it’s not like we’re 20 year olds, we’re kids. Can’t grow up too fast,” she was in awe of his mind-set. A part of her couldn’t wait to grow up and be independent, but being around Finn always influenced her to stay grounded. “So have you met anyone?” he jokingly asked, but was also somewhat serious.

“You know me, Finn,” she shrugged, speaking with a posh accent, “I don’t meet people. What about you?”

“Oh no no,” he copied her with the posh accent, “I try to stay focused on my career and my school career,” he chuckled, an arrogant and posh tone. “I don’t see the point because I have my time to find someone, I am just a kid so,” she tried not to laugh.

“Why, that’s because you feel whole, Sir,” she said, again a seriousness hidden within the words.

“I feel whole?” he asked, still keeping the joke going. She nodded.

“Yes, like you have something to fill up the gaping hole of emptiness,” Both stopped laughing and Finn had now caught on that she was being serious.

“And you have this gaping hole?” He asked her, concern evident in his voice and no accent this time, feeling slightly sad that his friend was feeling this way.

She didn’t speak for a few seconds, her mind functioning to find the right thing to say. “Sometimes,” she shrugged. “I mean, I have my insecurities and times where I feel like I need someone to make me feel real, which is crazy because I’m not even that old,” she laughed slightly, humourless but filled with embarrassment. Hearing herself say it she thought it sounded stupid.

“Well, you’re amazing and you don’t need anyone for you to know that,” he smiled, attempting to give comfort and reassurance. “Apart from me of course,” she smiled back this time. “And if you’re gonna be with anyone it’s obviously going to be with me,” he said, not really thinking.

“Finn don’t,” she said quietly.

“What?” he asked, worried.

“Just,” she sighed, “Don’t.”

“Did I say something wrong?” she shook her head. “I did, didn’t I?” She shook her head again. “You’ve gone all quiet, I obviously have,” he became frustrated both at her lack of talking and at himself for not knowing what he’d done.

“Now we really do sound like 35 year old exes,” she muttered, causing Finn to laugh. “I’m sorry, I just had a bit of a moment,” she shook herself and Finn copied, almost mimicking her in a comforting way.

“It’s okay,” he said, giving a slight side smile. “I understand.”

Finn and (Y/N)’s mums had come out to check on the two when they overheard parts of their conversations, they decided to walk back in, sharing a hand to the chest and mouthing the word ‘aww’. They were in the kitchen, (Y/N)’s mum making some tea whilst Finn’s sat at the kitchen counter.

“It’s nice to see them together again,” Finn’s mum spoke up. “He was talking non-stop about her and how he wanted time with everyone,” (Y/N)’s mum rested against the counter by the kettle opposite.

“I couldn’t agree more,” she smiled. “She’s been down lately,” she explained, sighing slightly. “School is becoming some sort of chore, she’s really not enjoying herself here at all. I don’t know how to help, it’s really difficult.”

Finn’s mum was always close to (Y/N)’s and with any situation, she was eager to help out. She was always there for advice and to take over if it ever got too much. She walked round and hugged her. “You know you can always talk to me.”

                                                         ***

“Yeah but if the chicken was to run away, then what would you do?” She asked Finn, raising her eyebrows as she threw the small bouncy ball towards him. He caught it, threw it between his hands a couple of times as he thought. He looked upwards, something he did when he was concentrating and was deep in thought. He stopped, looked to her and pointed with the ball still in hand.

“Um, I,” He stopped, shaking his head and retreating from what he was about to say. He copied his actions as before: looking up and throwing the ball between his hands. He sighed. “You make this too difficult, (Y/N).” they both laughed. Finn threw the ball back to her, she caught it after 4 tries of catching as she unintentionally bounced it to try and keep it in her hand. Finn began to laugh hysterically, falling on his back and clapping. She threw the ball at him.

“Shut up,” she whined. “Stop laughing at me,” he started to roll around, still laughing and unable to stop. He then sat up, holding his stomach and gradually stopping from laughing.

“You make me laugh so much,” he said, smiling and holding the ball.

“What by me embarrassing myself?” She pretended to be offended. “That’s just hurtful.”

“No,” he said plainly. He was running over the right words in his head. “Just- Just you being you,” he put the ball down. She picked up a packet of twizzlers, pulled one out and began to eat it. “You’re the best person I’ve ever met and will ever meet, no doubt about it. I talk about you all the time, man,” She choked on the sweet, coughing then swallowing it again.

“Oh Jesus,” she said, hand on chest. “Sorry,” he waved her off then started to pat her back to make sure she was okay. “I just thought that you kinda forgot about me- well not forgot but like just didn’t really think about me.”

He widened his eyes and shook his head vigorously. He moved back to where he was sat, opposite you. He had his legs up, his hands intertwined with each other and rested them around his knees. “You’re always on my mind,” he laughed. “So much it’s come naturally to just think about you and for everyone on sets to groan if I even start to say your name,” She smiled, biting the inside of her mouth.

“That means a lot,” she said. “I think about you too.”

“Good otherwise this would be awkward,” he laughed, the two hugged. It was a much more sentimental hug, the type where you knew that you wouldn’t see someone for a while so you wanted to get the most feeling from it. It was quite a long hug, almost as if the two hadn’t realised they were still hugging and as if time itself was going slowly.

ladybug and chat noir: representation matters
  • It starts with a stupid photographer who is desperate for the latest scoop. He doesn’t care what happens or who he hurts, he just needs a juicy bit of news to sell to the highest buyer. In the end, the idea practically drops in his lap: expose Ladybug and Chat Noir.
  • He knows Paris’s famed duo are like celebrities, and everyone is scrambling to figure who they are or more about them. Since no one knows anything about the heroes, it’s not like he’ll need to collaborate his story. So he picks up a camera and goes to work.
  • He follows Ladybug and Chat Noir around for months. Stalking them from rooftops, once he even scales the Eiffel Tower, and hides behind buildings to get a right shot. It’s weeks before his patience finally pays off. One time he catches sight of Ladybug jumping off the balcony of a bakery in the heart of the city, and snaps a shot of Chat Noir sitting on the window sill of Adrien Agreste’s bedroom.
  • When the story hits the papers, it’s official. Ladybug and Chat Noir are dating civilians. Ladybug is dating Marinette Dupain-Cheng, and Chat Noir is dating Adrien Agreste. Chaos ensues.
  • Flustered and panicked, Marinette and Adrien are freaking out. Even though they already know each other’s secret identities, it’s not like they can set the record straight without revealing them to others. So they’re forced to go along with it.
  • Classmates won’t stop asking questions, parents are shocked, and the media won’t stop camping out on their street corners. The whole thing really blows on the secret identity front too as they can’t sneak out of their houses like they normally do. Adrien and Marinette spend days dodging paparazzi and try to figure out how they can fix this.
  • Marinette designs a plan to break up have their superhero selves break up with their civilian selves. It involves lots of arguments, tears, and maybe a smoke screen or two. Ready to initiate Operation: Break-Up, Marinette and Adrien are stopped when they realized just what the fictional relationship has done.
  • With Ladybug dating Marinette, and Chat Noir dating Adrien, they have become the epitome of gay representation in the media and everything else that matters. Knowing that the same superheroes that protect them and their city support them and find their sexuality valid, girls and boys have role models to look up to. Marinette and Adrien have a dilemma: if they saying anything about it or correct the misassumptions, so many people will be disappointed.
  • They decide to roll with it. If their superhero selves dating their civilian selves helps so many people, who are they to stop it?
  • Their parents are startled by the news but go along with it anyway. Sabine and Tom keep telling Marinette to invite her girlfriend, Ladybug, over for dinner. Adrien has to deal with a two-hour sex talk with Gabriel complete with diagrams.
  • Girls love girls, and boys love boys. Everyone’s in high spirits. The media and general public want to hear and see so much more about Marinette and Ladybug’s relationship and Adrien and Chat Noir’s relationship. So Adrien helps Marinette photoshop Ladybug into date pictures, and Marinette runs Adrien’s fake Instagram account where she gushes about Chat Noir daily.
  • Thousands of blogs are popping up, and the amount of MariBug and Adrinoir shippers skyrockets. Marinette and Adrien just laugh about it.
  • Ladybug and Chat Noir are welcomed into the LGBT+ community with open arms and embrace it. Their presence is helping a lot of people, so why not reach out more? They become involved in outreach, sign petitions, and speak at LGBT+ organizations and events. Chat Noir is even seen marching in the Pride Parade through the Paris streets while Ladybug zips overhead with her yo-yo and a rainbow flag tied around her neck as a cape.
  • Everyone’s happy, their heroes are in love, and things couldn’t be more perfect.
  • Except then Hawkmoth gets an idea that he needs to simply get his hands on Adrien and Marinette in order to beat Ladybug and Chat Noir. This complicates things. Suddenly transforming to fight the akumas is increasingly more difficult since the akuma is always after them. Eventually, things reach a point where Marientte and Adrien really do need to interrupt their fictional relationships.
  • They end up breaking up anyway. Ladybug and Chat Noir mumble something about “keeping their loved ones safe from harm”, and the media and public buys it. No one wants anyone to get hurt, and they certainly don’t want these kids to have to deal with any more shit than they already do.
  • Marinette and Adrien pretend to be upset and inconsolable. Sabine and Tom are very concerned and treat Marinette to chocolate and cuddles because it’s their baby girl’s first heartbreak; she pretends to cry and feels sort of bad about it. Gabriel Agreste hugs his son for the first time in a long while; Adrien is suitably terrified.
  • For the next few weeks, the akumas are all suddenly gunning for Chat Noir especially. Ladybug and Chat Noir can’t figure out why.
  • Ladybug and Chat Noir are still involved in the LGBT+ community. Just because their relationships aren’t at the front of the public eye anymore, they’re still role models for many people who need them, and who are they to argue? This stuff matters.
  • Besides they were both hella bi to begin with, so honestly it’s nothing new.

calling taylor out and disagreeing with her actions doesn’t make you a fake fan, a bad fan, etc. it makes you someone who wants the person that you look up to do the right/smart thing. threatening someone with lawyers doesn’t help her at all. if she doesn’t want to be associated with that, then she should say so. i can honestly 100% bet that if taylor were to have wrote an open letter HERSELF just like she did to apple music instead of sending her lawyers, people would listen and it would have 10x the impact.

don’t let any poptartswiftie13 tell you otherwise

this is just a tiny sampling of what my inbox looked like this morning. i didn’t even bother screenshotting the messages from antis (and there were A LOT) because those at least i’m fairly immune to at this point.

‘it’s 2017. be nice. be good’

i guess the people who claim to love harry so much missed the memo.

anyway i’m turning anon off and i’m not leaving but i am seriously limiting how much time i spend here. i’ve been scapegoated and attacked twice in the past month for something i didn’t even say and quite frankly i’m tired of it.

i have another main blog i’m permanently switching over to. if you want the url message me or im me and i’ll let you know what it is.

i will still check in here but honestly i don’t really want to be part of a fandom that thinks it’s okay to treat people the way i was treated last night. that was unacceptable and if anyone thinks harry would have been okay with all that nastiness being done in his name and on his behalf then i think they need a gigantic fucking wake up call.
