-You and Daryl had noticed over time some things your son would do which made you wonder if he was into boys or girls.
-You would often see him staring at Heath or spencer, secretly wondering what was going through his head. You’d also see Daryl watching him with a disapproving look.
-At night, you’d talk to Daryl about accepting the fact that his son might be gay, but still being set in his ways he would get angry and avoid the topic. “Merle would be disappointed” he’d say, making you sad that Daryl wouldn’t accept his son.
-One night when the three of you ate in your house, your son made an announcement. “I’m gay” he said. You smiled over to him and touched his hand, grabbing it and kissing it before looking over to Daryl.
-He wouldn’t be smiling, instead he’d stand up and storm out the house. You reassured your son that he’d come around and to not worry about it.
-The next day you would argue with Daryl, telling him to stop living by Merle’s rules. It was normal to be gay and there was nothing he could do to change it. He’d either have to accept it or lose his son forever.
-Daryl found his son and sat on the front porch with him. He apologised for the way he behaved at dinner and said that he loved him no matter what. Your son smiled and Daryl brought him into a playful headlock and kissed his head. You came outside and sat next to the men and wrapped an arm around Daryl, making sure to let him know how proud you were for him being accepting. —————————————————————————————————-
