Today is my two-year wedding anniversary – Rachel and I are celebrating this month with the purchase of our first home!

It’s a neat old house – built in 1935, but stripped to the studs and completely rebuilt in 2016 – located inside the Loop in the Greater East End-area, near Downtown Houston.

Rachel is getting a purple(ish) house, while I’m getting room for books and photography. Meanwhile, ’round back, there’s a huge patio space for entertaining, plus a three-car garage with a full garage apartment overhead.

1) flew in an airplane for the first time
2) rode in a taxi for the first time
3) went above the Mason-Dixon line for the first time
4) hand fed wild squirrels
5) got to see one of my best friends get married

Pretty sweet two days. I got home this morning and have been editing photos all day, but had to share this one prematurely because they look like legit models 😍
