Give the show the views it deserves.

We need to protect it from the onslaught of conservative hate groups.

Let’s show Disney Channel they made the right choice.

Hey Friendom

Do you remember when Andi Mack first came out?

We all watched the Jyrus meeting scene and were like “OMG CYRUS TOTALLY HAS A CRUSH ON JONAH!”, but deep down we were all thinking it’d be like every other time we were queerbaited, and even though he acted like he had a crush on Jonah, in the end he canonically wouldn’t.

Then we watched the season 1 trailer and thought the “Do you like Andi?” scene may end with Cyrus saying he likes Jonah instead, but once again, deep down, we didn’t actually think it would happen.

Then that New York Times article said Andi Mack would have a character questioning his sexuality, and as excited as we were, we still had trouble believing it. What if the article was wrong? Or what if it was just a side character who questioned his sexuality for, like, 1 episode?

Then the show started giving out more and more hints that Cyrus liked Jonah, and we all started getting more and more hyped, but deep down, we were still doubtful. We worried that we were just overanalyzing things and getting our hopes up for nothing.

And now, here we are. Last night, everything we hoped for actually happened. For the first time ever, it wasn’t just queerbaiting. We weren’t overanalyzing after all, and the “Do you like Andi?” scene was better than any of us could’ve ever imagined.

Thank you Disney, Terri Minsky, Joshua Rush, and the entire cast and crew of Andi Mack. I think we all just gained a little more hope for the world.

To anyone who thinks there's no possible way of Jyrus becoming canon

Literally every single person thought the exact same about Solangelo. No one thought that Rick would possibly make a SECOND queer character, let alone a gay couple!! I mean what would the parents think!? This is a children’s book after all!1!1! But look what happened. Rick Riordan broke barriers and not only made Nico the first gay character in his children boom series, but he also wrote him to have a crush on the main character and eventually get together with another character in his next series. I’m not saying Jyrus is definitely becoming canon. I’m just saying don’t rule out the option.
