Europe has been hit with yet another terrorist atrocity after at least 22 people were killed in an attack on the Manchester Arena claimed by Isis.
The second attack on the UK in the space of two months. Victims, many of them teenage girls massacred, mutilated, maimed. Why does this keep happening?
Because our political class has demoted the most basic role of government: to protect the lives of its people and replaced it with a different role: “tolerance”.
“Tolerance” of women being abused and harassed on the street. “Tolerance” of rape gangs abducting and abusing young girls for years. “Tolerance” of all the barbarisms of Sharia law. “Tolerance” of terrorist attacks. “Tolerance” is now more important than the basic right to life. “Tolerance” of “Terror being part and parcel of living in a major city” according to London Mayor
“Just carry on”. Forget about it be tolerant until it happens again and again and again.
Tell me how do the parents of dead kids just carry on exactly as before? How do the teenage girls whose legs have been blown off just carry on exactly as before?
Right, so that’s what our main concern should be after dozens of children have been blown up, people being mean to Muslims. As a society we need to make a choice which do we value more; protecting the feelings of Muslims or preventing our children from being blown up?
Doesn’t negate the fact that Islam has a problem with violence you utter moron. (FYI those weren’t muslims, those taxi drivers were Sikhs, you ignorant idiot)
Yeah vile humans follow a belief system that justifies massacring teenagers at a pop concert. Should we concentrate on stopping them or be more angry inaccurate tweets?
Right so the main complaint should be ‘all those disgusting white people demanding attention for being slaughtered’, how dare they.
And in these times of our children being blown to bits by terrorists it’s vital to point out the real danger - like reporting Katie Hopkins “offensive” tweets.
Being angry at Tommy Robinson, that’s more important. I’ve come to realize that a lot of this # “pray for” whatever concern-signaling is repugnant narcissism.
Your thoughts and prayers count for nothing.
CNN’s Jake Tapper posting a Union Jack. Hey Jake, I don’t recall you posting a Russian flag when all those innocent people got blown up in the Saint-Petersburg subway last month.
Was political correctness to blame for one of the accomplices in the attack escaping detection? This eyewitness says she spotted a woman acting suspiciously and told security but they did nothing;
The woman who reported the incident was then lectured for making the suspicious individual feel uncomfortable.
Is she suggesting that security did nothing because the suspicious individual was Muslim and to ask her to leave would have been politically incorrect? We’ll never know.
What we do know is this; almost certainly nothing will change. There are things we can change; mass surveillance of hate preaching mosques, solitary confinement of individuals who are likely to radicalize others in prison, extreme vetting and strict quotas on Muslim immigration, deporting known terrorists.
Prosecuting NGOs who send out bolts to rescue unvetted migrants, some of whom sympathize with or are members of Isis.
But again nothing is going to change because we have a political class and a culture that deems hurt feelings to be of more concern than mangled dead children.
90% of terror victims are Muslims killed by other Muslims - this is the culture we’re importing.
Just 34% of British Muslims would inform police if they knew someone was getting involved with Isis.
32% refused to condemn those who take part in violence against those who mock the Prophet Mohammed.
1 in 4 British Muslims believe that the 77 attacks in London were justified. Isis fighters are returning from Syria and flooding into Europe on mass under cover of the refugee wave and European countries are welcoming them in because “tolerance”.
This is “tolerance”, this is “diversity”, this is the future our leaders have chosen for us, what we have is a choice; we have hope. Don’t let them tell you not to be angry. Don’t let them tell you to just go on with life as normal because that’s not bravery - it’s cowardice.
Enough hashtags. Enough vigils. Enough celebrity platitudes, it hasn’t worked. We need change. We need action.
down. The UK terror threat
level had been raised from severe to critical, and warned further attacks may
be imminent. It’s
not so strange that celebrities are cancelling their public events in England.
It’s simply not safe there right now.
they just don’t want to attend some happy event few days after a big tragedy
and pretend everything is lit.
You know what pisses me off about the Manchester attacks?
It was children that were the victims.
Innocent children’s lives were taken that night.
Imagine how excited they must have been coming home from primary and their parents getting them ready for the concert.
Imagine the students that had just finished their English exam or geography exam just enjoying the music hopeful to meet their idol that night.
Or the people who travelled all over the country because it was the closest place they could book to see Ariana.
Just imagine the sheer fucking terror that they must have felt in that moment.
The uncertainty that they might not see their families again. It sickens me.
It’s even worse that people are trying to use it as an excuse to justify their beliefs about people who are islamic.
The religion isn’t barrbaric and the people who practice their faith just like any other person across the world who are entitled to practice their faith isn’t the reason why this terrible event happened.
The people who take the beliefs of others and bend it to fit their own agenda are the barrbaric ones. In any religion you will find people willing to go far enough to bend the teachings of a religion to commit such vile acts so they feel justified.
What happened last night was earth breaking for everyone across the UK and I (as well as many of you) hope that this doesn’t make us weaker and that we finally stand up for ourselves and not shy away from this bullshit that is commited everyday.
Thank you to everyone that helped save everyone in that horrendous situation and to the people of Manchester willing to open their own homes and car doors to complete strangers to make sure they’re safe and that they will be reunited with their family this is an awful event and I hate to have seen too many innocent lives lost in just one night.
The same thing can be said for the terrorism that was seen in Marawi, Bangkok, and Syria.
(Boi I am so mad and so upset for everyone involved I can’t even get everything I want to say down)
You have blue hair. Someone else with blue hair commits a terrible atrocity. People are hurt and injured. You mourn with the people who have experienced a loss and you feel their pain and anger. Suddenly, people look at you differently. They assume that as you have blue hair you must be the same as the monster who hurt those people. People shout abuse at you, over and over again. Groups of people with blue hair all show their respect for the deceased, they help those in need, and are kind. However, the media continues to label you, people say you need to go back to where you came from, but you do not condone those who committed or support the attack. One is not all.
In light of the Manchester attack, I think it’s important we don’t fuel anything with hate. As a country we continue, we get up day after day and we carry on. Because that is what we do. We unite, against terrorism. Unity means all: Everyone. All religions, all nationalities, all ethnicity’s. They are part of our country and we unite with them too. It sounds stupid to compare something like religion with hair colour. But it isn’t. Yes, Islamic state is an extension of Islam. However, Islamic state is not Islam. It’s so important not to fight hate with hate. I can tell you over and over, but I don’t need to. You only need to see British Muslims uniting and providing support to see that.
What happened on Tuesday 22nd May 2017 was a hate fuelled attack on innocent people, but the only way we can say fuck you to terrorism is to show that hate will not be tolerated.
fellow londoners stay safe!!! there is an ongoing terrorist incident in westminster, which is in lockdown!!! thoughts with the police officer injured at houses of parliament and the members of the public involved in the car incident on westminster bridge. awful, awful news
UPDATE: police are working on the asumption that there was one attacker who drove the car into pedestrians at westminster bridge and then ran to the houses of parliament where he stabbed a police officer. he was shot, however the police officer sadly died from his injuries at the scene. two people were also killed at westminster bridge and dozens were injured, some severely. while there no longer appears to be an active threat, uk maintains the highest level of terror alert (as it has for months) and so please remain safe & vigilante if you are in the central london area tonight and in the coming days.
please also spare a moment to think about the incredibly brave first respondents and emergency staff who put themselves at risk to protect the public. the police officer died protecting your elected representatives and the democratic institutions in this country. just let that sink in. massive shoutout also to NHS staff and those brave doctors and nurses from guy’s hospital who ran into danger at westminster bridge to help people. absolute heros the lot of them. so big up to everyone saving lives in london today. THANK YOU! 👏👏👏
Although she was not identified by name, MI6’s head of operational technology is a woman. This news came as part of a keynote speech that MI6’s chief, Alex Younger, gave to a group of women in technology, encouraging them to join the agency:
“If any of you would like to join us … the real-life Q is looking forward to meeting you and I’m pleased to report that the real-life Q is a woman.”
