Cartography. Maps. We love them. They remind you of your travels. They get you from point A to point B. They take up space on large empty walls. They can add beautiful color to a room. They can serve to block out light. AND they can even be educational!  We want more of them in our homes.

Stay tuned! We’re about to start carrying hand drawn maps of Philadelphia by our friends from Eyes Habit. They’ll be in the shop soon!

Hunt. Camp. Lodge

It may have started with the purchase of a few Filson jackets, but I’m pretty sure our interest in all things taxidermy and Hemingway hunt really flourished as our little German Wirehaired Pointer pup started to sprout up and take to the fields, rivers, ponds and woods. He bounds like a gazelle through the tall grass scouting for birds on the regular. It doesn’t hurt that the idea of a perfectly outfitted 1930’s hunting lodge gets at the very heart of our most recent design obsessions: wood paneling for days, galvanized pails, tartan throws, camp chairs, old wood rocker, a screened in porch, lanterns lighting the way, a bird in every corner poised for flight.

Current Obsession: Vintage American Flags

We’ve been on the lookout for vintage American flags. Done correctly, they can add just the right dose of rustic Americana to a room. Here are a few examples of spaces we like, just in time for Independence Day.
