2.1 Esperando noticias de Sofía/Wating for news about Sofía

Alfredo: I’m very sorry about what has happened.

Teresa: I suppose you weren’t really thinking about them when you tried to leave.

Alfredo: I shouldn’t have done that. My pride overpowered me. If I hadn’t argued with her… if I hadn’t been so brusque…

Teresa: Neither alcohol nor self-pity are going to help us.

Alfredo: I love your daughter; I can’t lose her.

2.2 Salve a mi nieto si es niño/Save my grandchild if it’s a boy

Doctor: Your daughter’s situation is extremely critical. I don’t want to lie to you.

Teresa: And the child? How is my grandchild?

Doctor: I’m sorry but right now I can’t vouch for any of them. Don’t doubt I’ll do as much as I can.

Teresa: This is not easy for me but I want this to be very clear: if at some point you have to decide save my grandchild, if it’s a boy. If it’s a girl… I would rather still have my daughter.

Doctor: Excuse me, but I think you don’t understand the severity of the situtation. If any of them survives, it will be a miracle.

Teresa: Don’t underestimate me, doctor. I understand the severity of the situation, but I also know you’re an intelligent man, and that you have understood what I said perfectly.
