Hello Tennis System friends, family, and fans! We are extremely excited for 2012. Not only have we stacked our line-up with some of the most talented musicians in California, we’ve been writing and booking. Over the next few months we will be recording new material and posting some tracks on here.
If you’ve been a follower of mine for any period of time you would know that some of my nearest and dearest are in a band called Tennis System. Not only is their music a staple in my vlogs, their faces should be familiar since they often make appearances in them as well.
I want nothing but sunshine and roses for my boys. I support them not only because they’re my friends but because I believe in them. Currently they are putting the finishing touches on their upcoming album “Kiss Like Crazy” as well as preparing to leave for a month long tour across the US in only a few weeks. I’ve been lucky enough to hear some of the rough mixes as they near their deadlines and I can’t wait for you all to hear it! I think you will love it too.
So what is the point? As I’m sure you can imagine, balancing all of these tasks in addition to their jobs in order to pay for the production has been hard. Paying out of pocket has slowly become a greater challenge and it is because of this that they’re asking for our help.
If you visit their Indigogo page (http://igg.me/at/tennissystem) you will find out more information about the band, their projects and how you can contribute. EVERY.PENNY.COUNTS. You can contribute as little or as much as you want to their efforts and in return they are generously offering up perks such as digital downloads of the song/record to performances over Skype. Help me, help them. I (unfortunately) am unable to contribute more than I already have but my hope is that with your generosity and support, their goals can be met.
With that said, thank you to all that have already contributed and have gotten them this far. Be sure to check out their Facebook page for tour dates and if you can’t contribute now, contribute by checking them out when they’re in your city. Support local music, support your friends.
I’ve been playing this track pretty non-stop for the past couple of days. It has that hazy, west coast feeling, the same feeling that is so quickly leaving us here in the Midwest. These dudes’ new album Teenagers is available now, grab the mp3 above.
