Lotto-Belisol’s Kenny Dehaes doesn’t exactly hold his line, but rubbin’ is racin’ as he and Topsport Vlaanderen-Baloise’s Tom Van Asbroeck trade elbows all the way through the bike throw.
Van Asbroeck initially celebrated, but the photo finish showed Dehaes managed to hold off his charge by millimeters. FDJ’s Nacer Bouhanni (blue, at left) was 3rd, with the luckless Steegmans in fourth.
