Dylan never fit in at home, at the Colony. Everyone was always too concerned with tending the fields and raising families. He just wanted to be left alone in his garage with his tools and his dream car: an accurately recreated VW Beetle, complete with a vintage combustion engine.

That was before he got out on the road and saw what the world had left to offer. Sure, there were more women his age outside of the Colony. But there were also more people who wanted to kill him and eat him for dinner.

Now it seems like the Colony wasn’t such a bad place to grow up after all. Except for the lack of women, that is.

INT. APARTMENT - NIGHT

Steve is getting ready for bed. He grabs the pill bottle off of his nightstand, which contains a bunch of other medicine bottles, some prescription, some over the counter, some open, all sleep aids. He takes one of the pills and lays down. Hethinks for a bit before drifting off to sleep.

INT. OFFICE BUILDING - THE NEXT DAY

Steve is at his desk. He looks rested and present. He’s typing at a normal rate. -excerpt from Sleep Study by Phillip Segal

Mr. Segal has expertly crafted the scenes in Sleep Study so that no information is revealed through dream sequence - only referenced later through dialog. Still, that doesn’t mean we can’t include some eye-candy for the audience! :)

TBD: The Movie would not exist without submissions from artists like you. This is the first post in a series designed to “get the word out” about what art we need to further develop the project.

We need concept art! We’ve never needed it more. Casting for the movie is slowly starting, hair and makeup people are being lined up… and we still need to attract directors to the project. You don’t need to be a filmmaker to appreciate how much illustration, photography, or graphic design can help communicate an idea.

I will be posting a new request for art every day, but you can always respond to an old post, too. The more the merrier!

INT. SURGERY AMPHITHEATER - NIGHT

Malcolm is standing in the center of the amphitheater, by an operating table. On it is a body with a sheet over it. There are people in the stands. In his hand, Malcolm holds a scalpel.

ETHAN (V.O.)
What’ll it be, doc?

MALCOLM
What?

The body’s arm pulls the sheet away. It is John, he is lying shirtless on the table. He has a bull’s eye on his chest.

JOHN
Go on then.

INT. BUS- DAY

A discount bus line is pulling out of New York city onto the highway in New Jersey. Seated by one of the windows is HARRIS SMITH, 38, short and stocky with broad shoulders, a little rough around the edges but reasonably good looking, and the very least, not especially bad looking. Harris is dressed simply but tastefully. Tired-eyed, he gazes blankly out the window of the bus at the road scrolling by. Outside the window, greenery whips by, blurred by motion.
