Trump Tower security is costing the US taxpayer $400,000 every single day
The New York Mayor is going to send the White House a bill for $35m to cover the cost of the enormous security operation around Trump Tower. Bill De Blasio has said he is going to write to the Obama administration setting out the daily $400,000 bill from November 8 too January 20 - the day of Donald Trump's inauguration. The letter reads: "Municipal or state resources should not be subsidizing the President-Elect's decision to maintain multiple permanent residences.

Hey; it’s only money! Screw the taxpayers!

Yes, the article is from December, but a more recent article reports Melania Trump isn’t moving to Washington, DC, so they’ll still be using heavy security around the building.

Hey, what's your opinion on the F-15 and it's many variants?

THE fighter jet, interceptor, long-range strike, and even anti-satellite aircraft, for many years the best fighter available for western forces, only surpassed by the equally impressive, if unproven, F-22 Raptor, truly an aircraft to behold!

Born from Cold War paranoia, in essence, the believe that the MiG-25 Mach 3 interceptor was an equally impressive fighter, and as such designed to surpass anything available on the skies, with an almost limitless budget that, in a way, is still getting paid by american taxpayers to this day, Americana incarnate, for better or for worse!

The Mikoyan MiG-25

The fighter with the best combat record of any modern aircraft, the F-14 flown mostly by Iranian pilots only coming second, where most if not all her victories have been against soviet-made, arab-flown aircraft over the skies of the Middle East.

A purebred fighter that was so well-made, it’s still a foe to behold, a with constant upgrades and weapon packages, will continue being so for years to come.

Just saw a story on the news about how Bernie Sanders is costing taxpayers $38,000 a day by refusing to drop out, on account of paying for his Secret Service security detail. If he stays until the convention, it will cost 1.3 million dollars. The irony brings a tear to my eye.

Well, I would say that the tests are really a diagnostic tool that is used to inform instruction and curriculum development throughout the state. New York State spends $54 billion a year on educating 3.2 million schoolchildren. For $54 billion a year I think New Yorkers deserve a snapshot of how our kids are doing, how our schools are doing, how our systems are doing.

Merryl Tisch, the chancellor of the New York State Board of Regents, (perhaps accidentally) admitting on MSNBC that the New York State ELA and math standardized tests are means of proving to the taxpayer that we as teachers are doing something, even if that “something” has absolutely no value to us as diagnostic tools or other means of truly assessing our kids.

Perhaps the taxpayer they’re so concerned about pleasing wouldn’t be pleased to know that we spent $32 million on the testing, not to mention the cost of test preparation materials and after-school programs for extra help before the test.

New York, your taxpayers are parents and teachers. We don’t want this anymore. And if you manage to keep them around, the kids you’re testing the life out of could be taxpayers some day too. This is not a wise or worthwhile investment.
