taupe polish

N.Y.C. - PARK AVE. - P.O.T.W.

Normally i’m not a big brown polish person, but this color is really pretty. Even though it’s a brown it feels feminine because of its warm, muted, dark taupe coloring. This jelly polish goes on smooth and requires 2-3 coats for even coverage.

Stay tuned for the four designs featuring this polish, and to see other featured Polish of The Week’s visit the P.O.T.W. page!

Nail this made-in-the-shade manicure in four easy steps.

Step One: Prime nails with one layer of base coat.

Step Two: Paint on two coats of taupe polish. Let dry for two minutes.

Step Three: Using a thin nail brush, apply one generous coat of horizontal stripes; alternate shades on each finger between green, blue, and pink. Let dry for two minutes.

TIP: Dip your nail brush in nail polish remover between shades before drawing on stripes for crisp, clean colors.

Step Four: Finish the look with a layer of topcoat.

This past weekend I flew out to Colorado for my cousin’s wedding. I matched this mani to what I wore to the Toast the night before, the pattern of my skirt is pictured below. These polishes are neon, which are impossible to photograph color accurate, but I think I did alright. In certain light the colors matched perfectly but this is probably what it looked like most of the time. I still really like it though! Very proud of how it turned out!
