Being a witch means being blamed by everyone for weird occurrences. Too much rain? You’ve been fucking with storm magic too much, haven’t you? Your friend keeps finding money on the ground? Awwww, how nice of you :)! Someone you don’t like is having car troubles? You know, it’s not okay to hex people even if you don’t like them.

And you just sit there, like what the fuck, and all you can do is explain that you do not give a shit enough to cause any of these things to happen.

I did a deity reading for @thevillagewitch918

Deities who showed interest:

  1. Aphrodite
  2. Pan
  3. Brigid
  4. Eros
  5. Apollo
  6. Minerva
  7. Erato
  8. Pasithea

  • To begin a connection with Aphrodite, your emotions are the key. It’s important that you work on doing what makes you happy rather than others. You may find that tapping into your sensitive side may also bring out different sides in you i.e. creative and intuitive. It’s important that you feel inspired to use your own emotions and turn them into something bigger, to create with them. It’s also important that you explore these different sides of you as they look quite promising.
  • Aphrodite warns that you may have to deal with some cunning people in your life. This could lead to your personal plans being inconvenienced and delayed. It’s important that you are only surrounding yourself with people that you love and those who love you. Pure intentions are really important throughout this entire connection and this will help with this issue as well. As long as you’re staying honest to yourself and keeping yourself grounded, all shall be well.
  • From a connection with Aphrodite, you will gain a sense of knowledge and a love of mysteries. You may find that this sparks your curious side and unravels a whole new side of you. This is all very good. There’s a lot of focus on knowledge and experience here. This connection seems to be able to provide you with both, if nurtured properly. You may even find that you have a talent for solving problems and that will be focused on here.
  • To begin a connection with Pan, it’s important that you work on stabilising yourself in your life right now. Creating a strong backing for yourself will be quite helpful as you go for your goals that you seem to be subconsciously scared of. There is also a sense of partnership and unification here. Make sure that you are allowing yourself to truly connect with others and aren’t accidentally blocking people out. Your potential seems to truly stem around this area of enlightenment.
  • Pan warns that you may experience a sudden “wake-up call” of sorts. However, I believe that this could be a good thing. You must use this as a learning experience and look for the deeper meaning. This realisation could help you greatly if you have the right mindset. You must be ready to learn before you start to teach. Embrace this new enlightened perspective and roll with it. It’s important that you don’t just let this pass you by.
  • From a connection with Pan, you will gain a sense of achievement and victory. This connection seems to ignite that spark within you and lead to a lot of ambition, passion, drive and most importantly, productivity. Motion and forward-thinking are both strongly emphasised here. You may find that you not only understand your path better here but are also closer to it. This is very positive.
  • To begin a connection with Brigid, your hopes and dreams are highlighted. It’s important that you allow yourself to dream with confidence and stop doubting yourself. A sense of hope is really crucial here. It’s also important that you keep an open mind to the world around you and the experiences that you may have. Your emotions are of utmost importance. Make sure to care for them and truly nurture this wishful side of yourself.
  • Brigid warns that you may go through something that could leave you feeling confused and vulnerable. It’s important that you have a clear idea of what you want and where you’re going in life. Make sure that you are chasing these dreams with clear intent. You must also work on your hesitation as this seems to be a problem for you. You have so much to give and yet you seem to have a lot of self-doubt. This must be worked on.
  • From a connection with Brigid, you will gain a sense of wisdom and knowledge. You may find that this connection leads to a lot of self-reflection and working on bettering yourself. The focus here is inwards. Everything that you gain here seems subtle but beneficial and particularly helpful when you are feeling lost and desperate for answers. There is also a sense of mutual trust here that is important.
  • To begin a connection with Apollo, it seems as though your mindset and emotions are both important. Surprisingly different from others, it seems as though a sense of nostalgia could be good for you. You may find that reaching out to someone from your past may benefit you. If not, it’s important that you keep an open and happy outlook when it comes to your past memories. Let these emotions fuel you to create something wonderful now.
  • Apollo warns not to be too blinded or overwhelmed by the movement in your life. It’s incredibly important that you keep a clear headspace and work on truly understanding the messages that the universe is sending you. Your happiness is also highlighted here as something that you may neglect from time to time. This may be the cause of putting someone else’s feelings before your own and that must stop. You are extremely talented and show a lot of promise.
  • From a connection with Apollo, you will gain a sense of success and achievement. This is a particularly positive place for you. Your communication is highlighted here and you may find yourself making new friends during this time. There is also a suggestion of some sort of celebration of wholeness. You may start to see the “bigger picture” in life and this is good. Overall, this is a very good thing and you will learn many things here.

  • Lots of Major Arcana
  • You have too much self-doubt
  • Incredible potential!
  • Possibly could be a great teacher for others
  • Very strong reading

I am happy to present my own Wamily’s version of finding your signifier card using a Tarot deck.  (Wamily, just in case you don’t know, is a witch family.)

Please keep in mind that this is a practice passed down and developed by a handful of witches related to me, and isn’t the process that every cartomancer uses.  I hope this helps you on your witchcraft journey!

My own signifier card was found when I was a wee little witch.  I chose the Chariot (which, if you know me personally, is Salt through and through.)  My strengths and limitations are very much found in this card and I am drawn to its imagery indefinitely.

Comment with your signifier card once you find it!  I am excited to see what you receive.

Happy Sunday loves!!

This spread is slightly longer but for good reason!! I made us all a self love spread because I know sometimes it is so easy to get caught up in wanting to be a certain way that we often forget we are actually wonderful JUST the way we are!

All my love,
Kyla <3

The Seed.
a tarot spread for ostara.

1. The Soil.

Where have you grown? While it most certainly is the dawn of a new day, keep in mind your roots are proof that you have already come a long way. The soil is your past. What lesson can you learn from days gone by?

2. The Weed.

You wish to flourish and grow strong, but there is undoubtedly something that is stunting your progress. What are your obstacles, what’s holding you back?

3. The Seed.

Within your immediate future, which area of your life will you first see signs of growth? Which seed has taken hold?

4. The Sun.

The love and support of others is helpful. But the will to grow comes from within. Let the sun be a reminder of what you need to keep in mind in order to help yourself grow.

5. The Rain.

A blessing in disguise. Understand that not all things are always as they seem. Grey skies can sometimes bring you down, but like the sun, rain too is necessary. Through struggle, you will find strength. What blessing in disguise is upon your horizon?

Divination Incantation (for Centering and Focusing)

If you are like me, I have a lot of trouble calming down enough to meditate.  I have maybe put myself into a meditative state…10 times?  In 29 years?  But in order to read Tarot or runes, I need to be in a clean and clear state of mind.

Years ago, I came up with a small incantation.  There are three simple steps to this process, and it gets me centered and focused within minutes.

1.  Take your cards/runes/dominoes/whatever tool you use for readings and hold them in yours hands.  Shut your eyes and take ten deep breaths.  Completely fill your lungs and take your time breathing out.  Focus on all the static energy in the room and draw it in with every breath.  Pull that energy to your center (which is different for everyone.  Mine is at my apex, beneath my sternum.)

2.  There will be a stillness that surrounds you and that signifies the next part of this, which is reading this incantation:

When casting these [insert tool] from my hand,
it is power I hold and understand.
I will honor answers given to me,
recognize the fates coming to pass,
and that one day may be.

3.  Silently thank your tool and begin your reading!

There ya go!  Hope this helps.

2. How will I know when I’ve found the correct path?

3. Where will my current path take me next?

4. What is the major lesson I will learn from walking this path?

🔮Tarot Reading Tips🔮

Some tips that can help us tarot readers with finding and connecting the meanings of the cards in a spread!

  • Meditate on the cards for a while if you don’t know the meaning. Crystals present during the reading will also aide you in getting answers. I like to use my Amethyst crystal during readings to get answers.
  • Try to feel your way throughout the whole spread, this helps with developing intuition and psychic abilities.
  • Look at the colors on each card. What color is most present throughout the spread? Do they mean anything? What do you feel it means?
  • If characters are present in your spread, look at the direction they are all facing. Are they looking at each other or away? This helps with finding their connections in the spread. I find that it also helps me in partner spreads as you can tell how one person feels about the other.
  • Recurring themes throughout the spread is also important to note. For example, if cups keep showing up in a spread this can mean that emotions are very present relating to the situation.
  • Seeing what card lies on the bottom of the deck usually helps me as it shows the past feelings or it may even be the foundation of the spread. May also be the current feeling that is present for a person.
  • Most of all use your own gut feelings to interpret. Combine both the meanings of the cards with your own intuition and you will be on the right path of interpreting!
