Voice Actors Getting Replaced - Kirblog 6/11/15

A recent controversy arose regarding the new Powerpuff Girls series being produced by Cartoon Network, where the three main characters are being played by new actresses. According to Tara Strong, the original cast was not asked to reprise their roles as Blossom, Bubbles and Buttercup. Blizooka suggested I talk about this on Kirblog, and after some hesitancy, I decided to put this out there: my main point is that we don’t have enough information as to why these decisions were made, so getting aggressive towards both CN for making this change, the original cast for being upset about getting replaced, or the new actresses for simply booking these jobs, is unnecessary and will accomplish nothing. Listen on for details.
