The Great Gatsby Movie Premiere at the Plaza Hotel

It was an honor for Tantawan Bloom to have the opportunity to design the floral décor for the Great Gatsby Movie Premiere at the Plaza Hotel last week. The Great Gatsby is going to be one of the big movies of this Summer; and Tantawan Bloom made sure to create a floral masterpiece for this glamorous 1920s party that would host celebrities like Leonardo DiCaprio, Tobey Maguire, Jay Z, etc.  Samantha Sackler Productions transformed the Plaza Hotel to be the glamorous Jay Gatsby’s estate. The grand entrance was decorated with trees and orchid and lined with hundreds of candles. However, the most spectacular floral design of that night was “The Oversized Chandelier”, made of feathers, orchids and crystals hanging in the middle of the Plaza Hotel Grand ballroom. This piece has become an instant hit; at Vogue Magazine instagram it received over 8,000 “likes” within a few hours and Vogue called it “Plumed perfection at the Plaza”

It’s always our privilege to work with Samatha Sackler Productions who always creates impeccably fabulous events. Thank you very much for trusting us to collaborate with your team to create the floral design of your vision. Thank you also to the Plaza CPS Events for the professionalism that we always receive from you. There is no place that suits The Great Gatsby more than this classic hotel. Thank you Bentley Meeker for your superb lighting as always. And Special “thanks” to Arnold Bower and Line 8 Photography for the beautiful photos.

Inez & Larry’s Spectacular Wedding at Mandarin Oriental Hotel

It is Tantawan Bloom’s privilege to have a chance to design one of the most spectacular weddings of 2013 for a lovely couple, Inez and Larry, at Mandarin Oriental Hotel in the beginning of June. Inez, a gorgeous ballroom dancer, was our team’s main inspiration with her fabulous sense of style and love to have fun. She envisioned her wedding to be a combination of modern floral design set within a sleek, loungey atmosphere in which her guests would be guaranteed to have the time of their lives. On that request, we knew exactly what would make Inez very happy. We transformed the room into a grand modern wedding by carpeting and draping the whole room in white and installing a custom seamless white dance floor highlighted by scrolling hot pink Roses. Inez and Larry exchanged their vows under a grand Lucite Chuppah artfully enhanced by clean, white Roses while their Reception was done in the most romantic room decorated by thousands of beautiful hot pink Orchids. And to further highlight the spirit of our wonderful bride, we installed disco balls on the ceiling to enhance the whole atmosphere. We were so thrilled to witness the couple and their guests so exhilarated by our work as we, Tantawan Bloom, put our heart and soul into producing this event for our very special couple.

This spectacular wedding would not succeed without our friends James Munz and his team at Mandarin Oriental Hotel, the beautiful drape from Dynamic Drape, the dance floor and white carpet from Hi-Tech Events, the gorgeous linens, chair covers and pillows from Nuage Designs, the lighting from Design One and our entire crews who dedicated themselves to create this memorable wedding night!

The most important thing we cannot thank enough to Inez and Larry to put their trust in us to deliver their dream and we would like to say “Congratulations!” to them both once more!

A Midnight Summer Dream at Cipriani 42nd Street

Nothing is more romantic than celebrating the most special night under the trees in the beautiful summer nights. Our gorgeous bride, Sandra, envisioned herself walking down the aisle in the chic garden framed by topiaries and lanterns, then celebrated her dream wedding night in the magical forest surrounded by trees with hanging lanterns. We, Tantawan Bloom, love to make our brides’ dreams come true, we transformed Cipriani 42nd street on the night of July 13 to be the most romantic wedding night that Sandra had always dreamed of. Modern and Elegant Bar Mitzvah at the Capitale New York

This past Bar Mitzvah at the Capitale must be one of our most favorite Bar Mitzvahs that we, Tantawan Bloom, have ever designed. One of the reasons is that this party was a great combination of modern and elegant floral design.  Also, they were all brand new designs so it made this event challenging and, at the same time, fun to create something that we had never done before.

To welcome the guests, we erected the 8 feet height wall of green hedge and placed a long white glossy escort card table in front of it. We arranged the different kinds of flowers and put them in the varying height of white containers surrounded by different sizes of lanterns at the base.

Inside the ballroom, we designed three different modern centerpieces: the “Modern Crystal Stand”, the “Elegant Lush, Sculpture” and the “Crystal Candelabra Lampshade”. With these three modern floral designs in corporate with silver containers and blue table linens and goblets, it enhanced the whole party to be one of the most modern and elegant Bar Mitzvahs.  It’s our pleasure to see the client so delighted when they first walked into the room.

Kristin & Paul’s Modern Sculpture Wedding at Tribeca Rooftop

Kristin and Paul are like a match from heaven or we would call opposite attract. Kristin is from New York and Paul is a gentleman from England. On the wedding day, Paul showed up at Tribeca Rooftop in the vintage New York Yellow cab while Kristin carried in the old time English car. Kristin loved her flowers to be romantic and sparkling with crystals while Paul loved his wedding night decorated by the sculptural designs. But both agreed one thing about their special night, they loved clean and modern floral designs on their wedding night. We, Tantawan Bloom, always love making our clients very happy. From the ceremony, we transformed the outdoor rooftop to be one of the most romantic places to celebrate their love. In the reception room, we created three different sculptural designs: The Crystal Lampshade, The Hanging Calla Lilly and the Candle Tower. To also please Kristin, we added some romantic and elegant touch of the crystal candelabras on the long table to complete both Kristin and Paul’s dreams.
