(ノ◕ヮ◕)ノ*:・゚✧ HAPPY 35TH BIRTHDAY HOSOYAN ✧゚・: *ヽ( ◕ ヮ◕ヽ)

Thank you for bringing to life so many unforgettable characters. The seiyuu world is blessed to have such a talented voice as yours. Wishing you the only very best in life always, Hosoya-san!! Tanjoubi Omedetou!!! (2.10.82)

誕生日 tanjoubi means birthday and the お in front of it is used to increase the level of formality. While おめでとう is congratulations so literally this means “Congratulations on your birthday!”

To make it more casual, you could say:
tanjoubi, omedetou!

Christmas day is actually to celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ. But in Japanese it’s more toward a holiday where people give gifts, eat delicous cakes and hang out with people they love.

Jesus Christ in Japanese is イエスキリスト (iesu kirisuto) and イエス (iesu) can also means YES~ To end up today’s lessons, here’s a scene from funny Saint Oniisan Anime.

Happy holiday! 。゚✶ฺ.ヽ(*´∀`*)ノ.✶゚ฺ。

Tanjoubi Omedetou Nihon!

[11th Feb, the date of National Foundation Day in Japan]  (ㅍ_ㅍ) o自

Today is Japan’s birthday! X3 (The country that has taught me hospitality!)

I love this sweet baby so much; he may seem hard to understand and quite shy, but DAMN, is he cute; and very caring once he learns to trust you!

What I like the best about Japan is that he always tries to make sure people are comfortable, and although making friends can be hard for him, he’s always been there for Germany and Italy! Plus, you know your heart melts when Japan smiles.

Japan: *Laughs nervously* A-Arigatou, America-san…

o̿ ̭ o̿

England: *Tsundere self* H-Here you go… *Hands him a gift* D-Don’t get me wrong! I just thought it would be rude not to give you something, so–

Japan: *Smiles* Arigatou, England-san.

ლ(= з = )ლ ~♥

France: *Hugs* Bon anni– *gets shoved off*

Japan: *Freaking out* M-My personal space…please…

France: *Laughs apologetically* My bad…hey, do that kiss thing you did when I visited last time!

Japan: …

China: *Timidly* Little brother…happy birthday.

Japan: *Awkwardly* Thank you…very much. *Thinks* He still considers me his little brother…

Germany: *Formally* Japan, good afternoon. I heard it is your birthday today; so happy birthday. *Gives gift*

Japan: *Smiles* It is much appreciated, Germany-san.

Italy: *Bouncing* JAPAN! HAPPY BIRTHDAY! HAPPY BIRTHDAY, JAPAN! *Attempts to hug*

Japan: *Dodges* Th-Thank you, Italia-kun!

Me: *Sighs dramaticallly* ( ɵ̥̥ ˑ̫ ɵ̥̥) Happy birthday, Japan. You taught me that it’s okay if you’re not as outgoing as everyone else might be, and that certainly made me feel better, since I’m not that good at making friends. So thank you for that!
