THIS SILENT “GUARDIAN OF HEALTH”

The Washburn Park Water Tower, located in the Tangletown neighborhood of Minneapolis, is encircled by eight 18-foot tall “Guardians of Health,” protective symbols of the water supply. Located on one of the highest points in south Minneapolis, the water tower was built in 1932 and is on the National Register of Historic Places.
