from the series the day after the future
Oil on canvas
Tamara’s pictorial innocence is reminiscent of Rose Wylie, thought with much more mystery and depicting a purely subjective world where the search for authenticity loses its meaning. The artist claims that omnipresent dynamic movement makes all of these things equal and equally meaningful, and also makes any ‘message’ (in the artwork) into a naive fiction. Tamara works across painting, mixed-media and installation. She has represented Georgia at the Venice Bienalle.
