What are your thoughts on Maekar's killing of Baelor? My impression has always been that it was an accident but I've seen it argued that Maekar was aiming at Baelor's head to land a fatal blow because he was angry that Baelor took Dunk's side and because he was jealous of his brother and the glory heaped upon him and his sons.

…. that’s a thing? Because it’s pretty obvious that it was an accident. I don’t think GRRM could have made it any plainer if he tried. Unlike some plots where GRRM drops hints that something nefarious is going on or that he leaves completely ambiguous, he has given us all we need to determine that it was a mishap. Dunk, our POV of that period, believes that Maekar did not mean to kill Baelor, and the incident was marked repeatedly as a mishap by Maester Yandel in the World book.

From Maekar’s immediate reaction to slaying his brother to the reported effect this incident had on him, it’s quite obvious that Baelor’s death deeply affected Maekar. Yandel tells us that “it is written that Prince Maekar always bitterly regretted Baelor’s passing and marked its anniversary every year”, and reports that Maekar had grown stern after his brother’s death at his hand - growing stern being the same wording used to describe Viserys II’s response to Larra Rogare’s abandonment, denoting a trauma response. This is further supported by what Maester Aemon tells Sam of his father.

[Maester Aemon] tightened his grip on Sam’s arm. “I will be with my brothers soon. Some were bound to me by vows and some by blood, but they were all my brothers. And my father … he never thought the throne would pass to him, and yet it did. He used to say that was his punishment for the blow that slew his brother. I pray he found the peace in death that he never knew in life. [..]”

This is a man who is haunted by his brother’s death and who has never stopped blaming and punishing himself for it; depressed to the point of having no peace and hating his throne because of how guilty he feels sitting in his brother’s place. Think of Jon Snow and his pained guilt at the idea of having Robb’s place and multiply it by a thousand in Maekar’s case. Actually let’s talk about Jon Snow’s dynamic with Robb and how it parallels Maekar’s with Baelor. Jon grew up in Robb’s shadow and was jealous of him but he also loved Robb deeply. This is Maekar’s dynamic with Baelor, I believe. It’s true that he was jealous of Baelor and resented that Baelor got all the recognition and credit while Maekar’s own accomplishments went unrecognized but his reaction to Baelor’s death speak of how he felt about his brother. Egg vouches for his father’s feelings towards his uncle and while his opinion isn’t the most objective, the kid isn’t a bad judge of character.

Jealousy and anger could be good incentives for murder but they are not in this case. Maekar punishes his sons in the wake of the trial and continues to beat himself up over it till the day he dies. Sending Aerion into exile in particular is huge for Maekar considering that he had pinned all his hopes on his second son after his heir Daeron disappointed him. Maekar trusts a lowly hedge knight with his son’s life and training in a way that parallels Baelor’s own trust and esteem for Ser Duncan. We’ve seen Maekar’s reaction to Baelor’s death at Ashford Meadow. A subdued man who struck me as someone who is trying to find any sense in what has happened. He was resigned to the fact that he’d be accused of purposely killing his brother and needed to tell someone, anyone, he did not. The man we saw at the end of the Hedge Knight is weighed down by guilt and trying, in his own way, to make amends.

As for the part about Maekar aiming at Baelor’s head, note that this was in the midst of a huge fight where Maekar noticed that Dunk had his son pinned down… and was preparing to kill him for all Maekar knew. Dunk noted that Maekar was trying to reach Aerion but Baelor was holding him off. Considering the circumstances, I sincerely doubt Maekar had any time to register anything beyond needing to get past Baelor to save Aerion. He was outnumbered at one point when Lyonel Baratheon joined Baelor against him resulting in a mad trade of blows in which Maekar took three for every one he landed. It’s not at all surprising that Maekar had no memory of the blow that broke his brother’s skull in that mayhem.

hello! meron ka bang complete/accurate list of all the deities from the tagalog and bisayan pantheon? Also, i'm sorry if this question has been asked before ngayon ko lang nahanap blog mo and i'm only now really getting into ph mythology :)

Hi @saetr3noora. I made one before though I don’t remember which blog I posted it in, this one, or my blog on reviving our old beliefs, practices, and on our general mythologies and folklore at @diwatahan. Also its an old list that needed to be updated and corrected so I guess it gives me an opportunity to make another one. :)

But here is my complete list on them based on historical research, not modern takes on it. This list is from my notes for my book I am still currently writing and researching for. Any modern deities from recent stories such as Lidaga, Lihangin, Lisuga, etc. are not included on this list as there is not one mention of them in any of the oldest dictionaries or in any historical record accept in the 1900′s particularly during the U.S. colonial period and after and thus based on historical research, they weren’t traditionally worshiped. However this doesn’t mean they aren’t deities as some may just be but never mentioned in historical texts and only known orally, but for the purpose of listing all the deities that were believed and worshiped prior to the Spaniards I have excluded them from the list. I try to put info on each deity as much as possible based on what was written on them but there are a few who are only briefly mentioned in passing either with just the name of the deity alone or the name and the attribute they were known for.

Also note there are other Bisayan deities not listed here that are known to the Sulod of Panay island with the exception of Laon Sina/Alunsina as she was a prominent goddess known throughout the Bisayas. The deities known by the Sulod may possibly be deities that were known by the other ethnic groups in the West Bisayas and elsewhere in the region under different names locally but I have not looked into that intensively and done enough research on that subject so I have left those deities out of this list.

This is a pretty long list so I have cut it off here for those who don’t want to scroll so much on their dash. To read the entire list just press keep reading.

Anyway I hope this helps all those who are interested in our mythologies and folklore, whether from mere curiosity, for the sake of creating art, or to actually join the movement of reviving our precolonial beliefs and practices to the modern day.

all i have is love

the love of my life turns 27 today. happy birthday @arrogantbullyingtoerag. here is the time traveller au i never thought i’d write. you deserve all this and more.

She is a young girl squatting in a field of wheat, the reeds rustling reverently around her as she holds her breath. Her sister will not find her here. The other boys might. Her red hair marks her out as sure as a bloodstain pooling on white snow, and yet she sways with the reeds, her knees buckling, the joints aching. They will not find her here. She can hear them calling, bloodhounds baying in the late afternoon sun, sniffing out her scent, the sprig of honeysuckle she plucked from the hedge down the road clutched tight in her sweaty palm, the sweetness of it dancing around her ears, in her head. Why is her head spinning? She is hiding. The cicadas are bleating all around her, soft ripples of activity jumping from plant to plant. She can hear a bike rolling its wheels past her on the gravel path behind the field. The trees are blustering in the gentle wind that ripples through. The reeds talk. She can hear them coming. She can hear their voices. She wants to be far, far away from here. The scent of honeysuckle is making her head ache. Take me away. They are coming closer. Take me away. She closes her eyes, and disappears.

A musty bookstore in Edinburgh. The shelves talk. The books rustle. Everything is coated in dust and candlelight. Hello? she wants to say. She’s holding her breath. She dare not say a word. The floorboards creak beneath her feet and the deep jade carpets bring up clouds of dust around her ankles, like there are ghosts trying to grab her by the calves, like they are trying to keep her here. Hello? This is like a perverse game of hide and seek. She wanders down the corridor, stepping into rare pools of candlelight, the heavy carpet leading her into the front room. The world is dark outside the windows. She wonders if she will ever leave this place, if she can ever leave. There is a heavy, baroque desk in the middle of the room. The bookshelves seem to climb up into nothing, into the stars. Hello? There is a man behind the desk. He looks like he has just stepped out of the bookshelves. His hair is white as a sheet, whisker-thin, climbing about his face like static. She wants to breathe but her lungs are full of dust. The man smiles at her, showing yellowing teeth, and speaks aloud the word that is stuck inside her head. ‘Hello,’ he tells her. She runs. She screams.

There is a tall manor house she went to once with Petunia and her parents, stuck in the middle of the countryside, so quiet and polished, like a French château. The people were musty but the house was not. She got bored and went wandering from room to room, surveying the display cabinets, chatting with the ghosts. That is where she is now. ‘Hello,’ says the lady of the house. Lily cannot remember her name. ‘We didn’t expect to see you back here so soon.’ The lady rings for tea, and Lily excuses herself. It is exactly like she remembered it, but without the warmth of her sister beside her. The house is whispering to her like it did the last time she was here. She cannot hear what it is saying. She wants to hear what it is saying. So she follows the whispers through the walls, trying to find its source, hear its secrets. She plays sardines with the suits of armour and ends up stuck in the airing cupboard, crying for help. Everything is so dark. She feels like she has been here before. She is in a dream. Everything is in a dream. She tries to reach out and touch the towels, the linens, but there is nothing. There is only darkness.

The Wife Of A Future Mafia Leader Pt 7

Genre: Angst, mafia au!

Member: Jongup

Word Count: 3613.

Description: It’s one series of events after another, so what’s next?

It was awkward and it was tense. You watched from the top of the stares for a few moments in silence as Jongup stared them all down, not bothering with sitting like the rest. You could see black clouds around him, you could imagine lightning flashing around him and the loud clap of thunder that would follow as you stared at his back, puffed and angry as he showed his true size in the way he stood. It was strong, intimidating and taller than you realised Jongup really was.

“What made you think you had the right to take my wife to a dangerous life threatening mission without having my consent to do so? What made you think Y/N was the perfect person to set up in line for the possible chance of death, without even bothering to inform me?” Jongup began and they all stared at him as Yongguk sat up straight in his seat.

“If we had told you we wanted Y/N to help us with the mission you would have said no-”

“Because you’re putting my partner, my wife into a situation where she can be killed, this is very different than taking her to some sort of meet up you all go to. I give you one job, one simple request and you go and fuck it up by dragging my wife into this world by putting her life at risk!”

“Jongup that’s not-”

“Don’t try and tell me that’s not true Himchan because none of you were watching her were you? What would have happened to Y/N if I was just seconds later than I was when I arrived? Because none of you followed them to make sure he wouldn’t hurt her!”

“Listen to-”

“I don’t have to listen to anything you say Yongguk. It took years to build the trust between us, and now it’s broken because you went against me and used Y/N to fulfil your own vendettas. What’s a couple hundred dollars ever mattered to you Yongguk? Look at the place you live in and the money you waste on the mundane things no one ever wants” You blinked, Jongup’s voice was dangerously low, murderously deep as he gripped the back of the couch he stood in front of. His knuckles turning a pale white from the amount of strength he put into his grip.

“I’m sorry we have misplaced you trust Jongup”

“If you really were sorry, if you wanted to keep that trust, you wouldn’t have dragged Y/N into something more than she ever needs to see. Y/N doesn’t need to see the things any of us do, I’m trying to give her the best, most normal life I can and you’re really fucking that up for me” Zelo looked past Jongup and straight into your eyes, slowly opening his mouth to speak as his eyes never left yours.

“Y/N didn’t hesitate to help” He muttered and Jongup looked at him with flaming eyes, picking up an empty glass and smashing it on the expensive carpet beneath their feet.

“Because you made her believe that I wanted her to help you, that I wanted you to do this mission! She wouldn’t have done it if she didn’t believe that you would keep her safe!” He roared and you gripped the rail to the stairs tightly, glaring at Zelo with as much force you could put into your stare until he was forced to look away from you.

“Y/N” Jongup called and when you looked down at him, he was already at the foot of the stairs smiling softly your way.

“We’re leaving now” He spoke just as gently as his smile to you was and you nodded as you quickly lifted your bag from the ground and made your way down the stairs. You held onto Jongup’s outstretched hand, and his other quickly reached for your things, taking them from you and carrying them out the door with you closely behind him, still holding his hand tighter than you normally would. When you reached his car, you looked back to see that the others had all followed you, standing on the last step of the front porch. Your things were put in the back seat quickly and Jongup opened the door for you, helping you get your dress in the car before swinging the door shut. He walked to the driver’s side and gave all of the watching people a long hard stare before getting in the car as well and quickly starting the engine.

————

When the car came to a stop and you looked at the tall house in front of you, you were relieved to see the familiar place and undid your seatbelt and got out of the car just as silently as the drive here had been. Jongup naturally grabbed your things for you and you held the skirt of your dress up as you walked towards the house.

When you were inside you were finally able to take those painful heels off, you had no clue where your mask was but you didn’t plan to go looking for it anytime soon. You followed Jongup to your room and he put your things on the bed as you went straight to the drawers, pulling out an old shirt and pyjama shorts before retreating to the bathroom with one last look Jongup’s way.

It was relieving be out of that dress and to actually have room to breathe properly again and your skin got to breathe again as you quickly removed all the makeup you had been wearing and sighed in content when the fresh air hit your naked face. You shut the bathroom door behind you and looked at Jongup who stood in front of the bed, your bag opened and clothes on the bed, neatly folded and ready to be put away.

You made your way towards him and put a hand on his shoulder as you looked at your things on the bed.

“You need to get some rest Jongup” You spoke quietly and Jongup sighed as he folded another one of your shirts. He put the shirt down and let his arms fall back as you silently took his suit jacket off him. You hung it on the frame of the bed and stood next to him again as he rubbed his eye with the palm of his hand.

“I want to put your things away for you Y/N” He spoke with the want for sleep dripping from his voice and you smiled as you grabbed the already folded clothes and put them where they belonged.

“I can do that tomorrow; I’m tired too so we should rest. That suit probably isn’t very comfortable either” You muttered and Jongup nodded.

“The belt buckle is digging into my stomach” Jongup admitted, undoing his belt and slowly making his way into the bathroom. You moved the rest of your things off the bed, in the corner by your closet so you could take care of them the next day. You found great relief in putting yourself under the covers of the familiar bed and sighed in content as you got comfortable with your pillows.

When Jongup came out of the bathroom you let your eyes flutter shut and didn’t refuse the way his arms snuck you into a warm hold. You listened to the deep breath he let out and the tiredness you felt slowly overtook you until you could no longer stay conscious.

————

There were hangers on your bed and clothes everywhere. You were finishing unpacking your things whilst Jongup was out doing some sort of work. Peacefully, you hummed to yourself, swaying your head side to side as you quietly sung along to the song you currently had stuck in your head. You hung clothes on hangers and neatly hung them in the closet. You heard slams and crashes outside, there was a screech of a car against the cement driveway and you immediately ran to the window, dropping the clothing article in your hand to see what was happening. Jongup was getting out of his car, angrier than you had ever seen him before. He stormed his way to the front door and you ran out of the room to meet him downstairs.

“Jongup” You rushed as he slammed the front door shut, he stormed past you and you quickly moved to be in front of him again.

“Jongup what’s happened?” You asked, grabbing him by the shoulders and forcing him to look at you. This time he pulled you into a hug and his deep breaths fanned the back of your neck as he held you close to him.

“They killed my father” He whispered and you immediately stiffened, your body becoming a rock against his equally as frozen body and you could barely move back to look him in the eye.

“Who killed your father Jongup?” You gasped.

“The Kim’s, they’ve killed my father and now they’re after my mafia, which means they’re after us too Y/N” Jongup stared you dead in the eye and you swore your life stopped in that moment.

“What are we meant to do?” You muttered and Jongup broke the hug. He took your hand and pulled you past the stairs and down a long hall you had been yet to explore. You couldn’t count how many doors you passed before you came to a stop at the one Jongup was unlocking with a thick key, there were too many to count. You followed Jongup through the open door and he quickly shut it when you were both in the room.

“Oh my god” You gaped at your surroundings and a shiver ran down your spine. Jongup dug through his pocket for his phone and handed it to you before walking further into the room.

“Call Yongguk and tell him I need him here now, with his tail between his legs, please Y/N” Jongup demanded, softening his tone at the end when he remembered who he was speaking to and you nodded as you quickly did as you were told to do.

“Hello, Yongguk it’s Y/N. Mr Moon is dead and Jongup wants you here asap with your tail between your legs- Wait I probably shouldn’t have said that-”

“I told you to say it” Jongup cut in, casually picking up a gun the size of your arm and examining it.

“Oh ok, well he needs you here like five minutes ago” You rushed it all out before you could even verify who you were actually talking to.

“It’s Youngjae Y/N” Youngjae spoke and you blinked.

“Well pass the message onto Yongguk for me, bye” You hung up the phone and rushed over to Yongguk.

“Are you really fighting fire with fire Jongup?” You snapped and Jongup turned to your anxious figure, keeping calm despite what shape you were currently in.

“Y/N as much as I don’t want to drag you into this, this is the life of a mafia you’re living now. All we know how to do is fight fire with fire” He responded and you took a step back from him as you looked at the weapons surrounding you, guns, knives, things you never knew the name of, it all surrounded you like four walls of danger.

“This is barbaric” You muttered and Jongup slowly puts the gun down, turning and approaching you with the same pace as you stared at the wall closest to you with wide eyes.

“This is how we have to protect what is ours Y/N” He snaked his arms around your waist, pulling you into his chest and getting a long wave of your shampoo rushing through his senses. Jongup took in a deep breath, momentarily closing his eyes as he took in your scent. Slowly your arms came to rest on his shoulders, hugging him with a certain uncertainty in your movements. Jongup hummed and you found yourself looking into his opening eyes.

He smiled as his finger traced your jawline delicately, he continued to hum along to a song you didn’t recognise, putting a hand on your lower back and taking one of your hands from his shoulders, squeezing it as he looked down at you with a smile. Calmly, Jongup began taking small steps, the hand on your back pulling you with him and before you knew it you were staring at him in shock as he spun you around the weaponry room.

“Jongup this isn’t normal, we’re dancing in a weaponry room” You sent him a glance of worry and the smile on his lips only grew as his humming stopped so he could speak.

“You should know by now Y/N” With a final spin he dipped you down gracefully, following you with an intense eye contact.

“I’m far from normal my love” He leant forward and you shut your eyes when his soft lips pushed against yours, leaving you empty minded and unable to form words. Jongup brought you to stand straight again, not parting from your lips until you were squeezing his shoulder.

Jongup turned to the security cameras you had been yet to notice and a smirk fell into place as he saw who was pulling up and getting out of their car.

“They are here” He notified you and you followed to where Jongup had his eyes trained upon.

“We must greet the guests, it is common courtesy after all” Jongup continued, bringing his eyes back down on you and you nodded numbly as he quickly let you go, only taking your hand again as he pulled you out of the frightening room. Jongup locked the door behind you and you walked down the hall with him as the front door opened and the five men entered the house one by one.

The air was stiff and tense but Jongup ignored that as he simply nodded to the kitchen and they all silently walked in the direction he had demanded them to. You weren’t going to go with them but Jongup’s hand holding on to yours tightly forced you to stay in toe with him as he walked towards the kitchen as well. Everyone made themselves comfortable at the kitchen table and you kept your hands clasped on the cold wood in front of you nervously.

“It’s time for us to put an end to the Kim’s for once and for all. Daehyun I want you to do whatever it takes to get their main location and Zelo once he has done that I want you to go in and set up cameras and microphones wherever you can that they won’t be able to see. Youngjae I want you to look into the files of Jaeho and anyone that we find to be close to him. You two come with me” As quick as it started it had finished and you sat in shock as they all quickly dispersed as if this were a routine and they didn’t even need Jongup’s instructions.

“Yongguk we need to map out a proper attack and Himchan we need you to get as much gunpowder as possible, the more the better if we have too much we can store it for the next time. Oh Y/N” Jongup turned back just when you thought you had been forgotten about and you found yourself straightening up in your seat.

“There’s chocolate in the fridge if you want any” He smiled and you nodded, you weren’t expecting some sort of order from him.

“I’m taking your wife with me” Daehyun suddenly piped up and you looked at him with wide eyes as you awaited some sort of angered explosion from Jongup. You unconsciously closed your eyes as you waited for the burst of violently loud yelling to come from him but nothing came and you peeled your eyes open when you heard his surprisingly calm voice stop Yongguk from protesting.

“Daehyun we’ve just argued over this-”

“Her life is in your hands and yours is in mine Daehyun. Take the chocolate and go with them Y/N, and be safe” Jongup smiled your way and you found yourself nodding instead of protesting that you didn’t want to be part of this. Because the man you had known for so long was murdered by these people, you were angered beyond compare too.

The chocolate was taken and you put your shoes on just like you were told to do. Daehyun took the liberty of holding your wrist to show Jongup that he was keeping you under his watch and you left the house with the mess you had made in your room still sitting there waiting for you.

———–

The backseat was filled with wires, cameras and microphones and Zelo was among that no longer a cleanable mess. You sat next to Daehyun, who gripped the steering wheel to the car with a peculiar seriousness amongst the features of his face. The car was circling streets, from rundown buildings to the most expensive places you had ever seen, but Daehyun believed none of the places he had driven past was where Jaeho would appear. He was beginning to drive through busier places, losing ideas as the amount of fuel in the tank grew less and less and the minutes turned into hours where your chocolate had been long gone.

“There Daehyun there he is!” It was as some sort of wish had been granted, some sort of magic trick was done, because there Zelo was, pointing at the man they were after as he wandered the streets in a stride that had a rushed pace to it, but also showed he had all the time in the world on his hands. Daehyun slowed down, trying not to make it obvious that they were following the man as you gave him the up down with your eyes, he was shorter than you imagined, were there no tall mafia leaders?

“What do we do? Follow him until he goes home or something?” You asked as Daehun gave a firm nod.

“Precisely, now we have to find a way to be discrete” Daehyun took a park on the side of the street the moment he could find one, and you all watched as Jaeho rounded the corner of the block and disappeared from sight.

“So Y/N” Daehyun looked at you and before even looking at him you knew what he wanted you to do.

“Give me your number” You sighed, pulling out your phone and unlocking it with ease. Daehyun grinned as Zelo blinked at you, doing his best to muffle the shock he felt when you took no convincing. Daehyun put his number in your phone and gave it back immediately. He reversed out of the parking space and drove in the same direction you had all seen Jaeho go.

“I’ll call you when I see you getting close to him, stay out of hearing range from him but don’t let him get too far” Daehyun shoved his phone at you and you put your number in as quickly as possible.

“You’re seriously doing this?” Zelo finally spoke up and you stopped, hands just out of reach from giving Daehyun his phone back.

“And this is really YN? My what a beautiful lady you’re growing into, it feels like forever since I last saw you, darling, which means you had plenty of time to become even more beautiful than the last time I saw you” He had one of those smiles that made his eyes disappear, you had always owed so much to this man. But Mr Moon was one of the kindest people you had ever met in your life.

“Which is a good thing, because what I have for you is definitely for a beautiful young lady” Mr Moon continued after you and your father both bashfully thanked him for his compliments. Your eyes began to sparkle as you were presented with a small box, his calloused hand opened it for you and in there lay the most beautiful necklace you had ever seen. Your family could never afford a necklace so delicate and shiny, it was fit for a queen and here it was being given to you.

“Mr Moon, I can’t accept this from you, I could never repay you-”

“It’s a gift Y/N. You never repay a gift” Mr Moon interrupted and you stared at him with awe.

“Thank you, Mr Moon” You finally smiled properly and Mr Moon removed the necklace from its box. You moved your hair and your father grinned when he saw the necklace resting on your collar bones.

“This is so you never forget, I am only one call away, whenever you need me I will be there” Mr Moon gave your shoulders a squeeze and you looked up at him with adoration.

“I’ll always remember”

Your hand automatically reached for the chain holding the small pendant, it hadn’t been taken off since that day three years ago and you had never forgotten. Your eyes met Zelo’s with defiance and you gripped your own phone with your other hand tightly as you stared him down.

“Mr Moon held importance to me as well. I have my own reasons to avenge him” You muttered with darkness sticking to your words before you quickly got out of the car. You slammed the door to the car shut behind you and Zelo stared out the window as you strut your way in the same direction as Jaeho was currently going.

“That kid is seriously on another level” Zelo gasped and Daehyun snorted.

“Oh please, we’re part of a mafia, she can’t be better than us”

I told you I would update soon! Ok, so maybe it wasn’t as soon as I wanted it to be, but this update is longer!

Let me know how you’re all going, I don’t hear from you guys often enough. Like seriously tell me who your bias is and why, what food are you craving? Are you human or from another planet? Let me know

You let out a long and relaxed sigh as you bathe in the sun. You were currently sun bathing on a lounge chair in your backyard, completely naked. Your parents weren’t coming back from visiting your aunt, Y/A/N, for another week and you made sure that all the doors were locked including the side gate that led into our back yard. You didn’t really mind because the gate surrounding your house was tall enough to keep away from those nosy people who like to peer in.

You applied some tanning lotion so you wouldn’t just burn and actually tan, making you smile because you knew you wouldn’t get weird tan lines. You rest yourself down, the chair accommodated to where you weren’t laying nor sitting up straight; just in the right position. You sipped on some lemonade, turned up the volume, and flipped through the pages of your favorite book, completely forgetting the fact that you were having a study date with a smitten alpha.

-

Scott knocked the door, grinning like a fool, waiting for you to open the front door to your house. He tried keeping the bubbling excitement to himself, but it was too hard, no pun intended. (I’m sorry, I hate myself, too.)

He frowned when he waited five minutes, “Maybe she was finishing something or she didn’t hear.” He whispered to encourage himself. He rang the doorbell, whistling to keep his wondering mind of all the horrible scenarios going on in his head. He wanted to be the most normal he could around you, meaning exactly as Stiles quoted, “No wolf powers.” But he couldn’t help but extend his nose higher and sniff for the familiar scent that makes his heart jump and pound and keeps him awake at night.

He’s known you for the two months since you started school at Beacon Hills, immediately befriending you for a certain pull that brought him to you. At first, he thought it was your aura, good spirit and beautiful personality, that bounded him to you, but he realized it was way more than that, he completely fallen in love with your kind heart, selfless mind, and friendly soul. He finally found his mate, but was too shocked and shy to make a move, until the “study date”. Which, he did need help in AP Calculus, so it was a win/win situation. He offered you help in AP Biology, now that was just a bonus.

He realized that you scent lingered in the back yard, so he assumed you couldn’t hear him. He made his way to side gate, cursing that he couldn’t view through nor over it. He tried opening, but with no such luck, he opted with climbing over it.

Landing on his feet, he looked up to see the back of your head, he smiled as your head danced with the music that was blasting through your earphones. “I knew she wouldn’t stand me up.” He whispers. He took one step, wanting to give you a fright, when you stood up to stretch your limbs and switch to tan your back side. He eyes widened, not being able to tear his eyes away from you, he choked on his own saliva. You looked up, finally catching up to what’s occurring.

You let out gasp, your hands dropping the book and ripping out the earphones.
“S-Scott…what are y-you doing here?” You stuttered. “Fuck, Scott, I truly apologize, I seem to have forgotten.” You spoke, forgetting the conflict, once you noticed the books he gripped in his hands. He gulped, finally tearing his eyes away before blinking rapidly, trying to get rid of the dirty fantasies he wants to desperately make reality. “I-It’s fine…w-we can r-reschedule.” He suggested still finding it hard to not jump your bones. Man, were you really making it hard at the whole no wolfing out.

He looked up as you bit your lip, making him clothes his eyes and breathe heavier. His now more visible bulge was making your not so innocent mind, go crazy. You remembered Malia’s words, ‘If you want that piece of meat, you go for that piece of meat, Y/N’. You kept her words in mind as the push of encouragement as you walked up to Scott, his eyes widening, before you dropped to your knees. He looked forward, eyes as big as the moon, his mind frozen in shocked to process what’s happening. He moaned, feeling your lips around his member. It was standing up and proud, a little cocky. (I’m sorry, I don’t know why anyone is friends with me.)

He pinched himself, knowing it was another wet dream, only to actually feel the teeny pain inflicted. You took your lips off of him, looking up, “Is there a reason behind the pinching, Mr. McCall?” You smirked seductively, suggesting things that no one would believe of, coming from you. Scott let out a animalistic growl, hearing you call him that, “Fuck, this is one of the best wet dreams I’ve had of you.” He whispered huskily. You smiled, wrapping your lips and bobbing your head, taking him all in, with one mission in mind: making him cum so hard to make him realize this wasn’t a dream.

Your were going so fast, his cock fucking your mouth at an inhuman speed. Your nose reached his happy trail, taking him all the way, moaning to send vibrations. You reached up, one hand on his balls, the other playing with your breast. You look up at him innocently, and that was all it took to have the big alpha a moaning and quivering mess. “Fuck Y/N, fuck fuck. Y/N! So good, fuck.” He yelled as his pulsing cock emptied its seed in your mouth. You swallowed it, sucking him as you took him out of your mouth, before sucking the tip one last time, his whimpers following the action due to sensitivity.

“Maybe we should reenact more of those fantasies you have of me, McCall.”

Daenerys + wanting a normal life

  • Dany could hear the singing of the red priests as they lit their night fires and the shouts of ragged children playing games beyond the walls of the estate. For a moment she wished she could be out there with them, barefoot and breathless and dressed in tatters, with no past and no future and no feast to attend at Khal Drogo’s manse. – AGOT
  • “We will have it all back someday, sweet sister,” he would promise her. Sometimes his hands shook when he talked about it. “The jewels and the silks, Dragonstone and King’s Landing, the Iron Throne and the Seven Kingdoms, all they have taken from us, we will have it back.” Viserys lived for that day. All that Daenerys wanted back was the big house with the red door, the lemon tree outside her window, the childhood she had never known. – AGOT
  • Once on a voyage to Braavos, as she’d watched the crew wrestle down a great green sail in a rising gale, she had even thought how fine it would be to be a sailor. – ASOS
  • In her dream they had been man and wife, simple folk who lived a simple life in a tall stone house with a red door. – ADWD
  • If she had been some ordinary woman, she would gladly have spent her whole life touching Daario, tracing his scars and making him tell her how he’d come by every one. I would give up my crown if he asked it of me, Dany thought… – ADWD

So my niece was asking everyone today who their ideal boyfriend is and when I told her to surprise me, this is what she came up with.*

*I know she spelt Jungkook’s name wrong. She’s nine and only knows BTS from the little videos I’ve shown her.

Reader x Yoongi

Mermaid Au

Fluff, humor, maybe some angst? Not much though.

It had been one of those nights that Yoongi couldn’t take a moment to collect his thoughts, just had to keep working until the bar closed. It was packed all night, and by the time it cleared out he was exhausted and his feet hurt. But he wasn’t in a bad mood, unlike some other nights that this happened. He was looking forward to buying ice cream and meeting you under the pier.

“Alright, I’m out.” He said to Jimin when he was done cleaning up.

“Not yet, you’re not.” Jimin said. “There’s some girl here to see you.”

Yoongi frowned at Jimin. He didn’t remember anyone telling him they were going to stop by his work, and couldn’t think of a reason for them to.

“What girl?” He asked, and Jimin shrugged.

“No idea, but she’s been staring at her feet the whole time. I tried to ask her why she was here, but she just said she was here to see you.” Jimin gestured toward the front of the restaurant. “She’s over there.”

Yoongi sighed. “What kind of person wouldn’t even give you a name—“ He stopped talking as he walked closer. You were sitting, staring at your toes—something you definitely did not have last night—wiggling them in wonder.

“Do you know her?” Jimin asked quietly, putting a hand on Yoongi’s shoulder.

“Yeah, I just—I don’t know what she’s doing here. Give us a minute, okay?”

Jimin nodded, and Yoongi made his way over to you. You noticed him approaching, and smiled brightly at him.

“Yoongi! I was so worried that maybe you weren’t here tonight, or that you didn’t want to talk to me, or—don’t faint.”

Yoongi must have looked dizzy—he felt dizzy—and he sat on the bench next to you.

“But you’re…You’re not…You have feet.” Yoongi had just come to terms with you being a mermaid, and now he finds out that you aren’t one? It was all a little disconcerting.

“I know, isn’t it horrible?” Your smile had faded.

“What?” Yoongi really didn’t understand what was happening.

“My father found out about me talking to you.” You sighed.

“The sea king?” Yoongi clarified.

“One of them.” You corrected. “We got in a fight, and he took my tail away.”

“That… Doesn’t make sense.” Yoongi said weakly.

“Do anyone’s parents make sense?” You asked, raising an eyebrow. “I think he’ll let me return to the sea soon, but I don’t know what to do until then. I was hoping you could help me?”

Other people might have accused you of lying about being a mermaid in the first place, that perhaps this was all a scam. But Yoongi knew deep down that wasn’t the case. He had seen the complete wonder in your eyes as he talked about living on land, had even touched your tail. There was always something so genuine about you that he didn’t question it.

“Of course. What can I do?”

“I just need somewhere to sleep, I won’t bother you for anything else.” You assured him, and Yoongi frowned down at your feet.

“You can stay with me. I live in a group house, so there’ll be other people around, but it’s safe. I’ll sleep on the couch, I don’t mind. You’ll need shoes. And some actual clothes. This—“ He pulled the sleeve of the bathing suit cover. “Wouldn’t work even if it did fit you.”

You shook your head. “I hate to ask all of this from you, Yoongi. I’ll pay you back, somehow. I promise. Also, what’s a couch?”

“I’ll explain, but first—why don’t we get you some shoes.”

You decided that you didn’t particularly care for the strange things humans wore on their feet called “flip-flops.” Not only were they difficult to walk in, they kept falling off.

“Sorry, I have a moped but I walked today… It would have saved your feet some trouble.”

“Is that a kind of shoe?” You asked, slipping your foot into the flip-flop for what felt like the millionth time that night.

Yoongi laughed slightly. “No, it’s a motorized scooter…” When you stared blankly at Yoongi, he tried a different explanation. “You know what a bike is, right?” You nodded, noticing something shiny on the ground and picking it up to study it.

“Yep, I see those a lot along the beach all the time.”

“It’s kind of similar to that, in a way. But you don’t have to pedal it, and the seat is different.”

“That sounds strange.” You said, flipping over the shiny thing. “What is this?” You asked, holding it out to Yoongi.

“A quarter. You can use it to buy things.”

“What kind of things?” You asked, walking ahead of him. You had no idea where you were going, so Yoongi didn’t know how you were so confident in the direction you were walking in.

“Clothes, shoes, food… Most things.”

You nodded thoughtfully as Yoongi caught up to you, then you reached over and took his hand. You turned it palm-up and placed the quarter in his hand, closing his fingers around it.

“For the flip-flops, and letting me stay with you.” You said, giving him a smile.

Yoongi shook his head, trying to return the coin to you. “You should keep it, you found it.”

“And now I’m giving it to you.” You said, shaking your head. “I have to pay you something, right?”

Yoongi couldn’t help his laugh. “You really don’t. But okay, if that’s what you want. Thank you.” He pocketed the quarter. “This is where I live, by the way.” He pointed to a tall house, painted a dark blue. It looked fairly well taken care of, but old, and there were patches on the roof.

“I like it.” You said happily, following him up the stairs and through the front door.

Yoongi had hoped that everyone would have already gone to bed, but Seokjin and Jungkook were playing a video game, elbowing and shoving each other on the couch occasionally.

“There’s food in the fridge if you’re hungry.” Seokjin said, not looking up.

“I’m surprised you’re back so early, I thought you had a date…” Jungkook stopped when he saw you, which made Seokjin look up as well. “Oh.”

“Don’t make too much noise, Taehyung has work first thing tomorrow morning.” Seokjin said, and Yoongi’s eyes widened.

“No, it’s not like that—she just needs somewhere to stay for tonight. Which means I’m going to need the couch.”

Jungkook tried to brush some chip crumbs (and who knows what else) as Seokjin nodded in understanding.

“Well in that case, welcome.” He stood, walking over to you with his hand outstretched. “My name is Seokjin, that’s Jungkook, and I can introduce you to everyone else in the morning. There’s food in the fridge if you’d like some, and let me know if you need anything.”

You leaned sideways toward Yoongi’s ear. “What’s a fridge?” You half-whispered.

“It’s a box that keeps things cold.” He replied, just as quietly. When Seokjin raised an eyebrow at him, he nodded his head to the side, indicating for the two of them to step away from you and Jungkook. “Can I talk to you for a second?”

“Yoongi, who is this girl?” Seokjin asked, watching as you walked over to the tv and tapped the screen.

“Someone I owe a lot to. Is it okay if she stays here for a few days?”

Seokjin glanced from you and back to Yoongi. “Did I hear her ask what a fridge was?”

Yoongi sighed. “She’s not… From here.”

“Yoongi? Why are there small people stuck in a box?” You asked, and Seokjin gave Yoongi a look.

“Not from here? Where is she from then?”

“Please, Seokjin. It’ll only be for a few days, I promise.” Yoongi said, avoiding the question. Seokjin was the owner of the house’s nephew, and had complete power to kick out anyone he wished.

“We’re already pretty full, Yoongi. Seven people in one house is a lot, and you want to add another?” At Yoongi’s silence, Seokjin sighed. “She doesn’t have anywhere else to stay?”

Yoongi shook his head. “I’m the only person she knows here. I can’t just leave her on the street.”

Seokjin sighed, looked up at the ceiling, and then back at Yoongi. “Okay. A few days. But then she either has to start paying rent, or move somewhere else.”

“Thanks Seokjin, I owe you.” Yoongi looked over to where you were now sitting with Jungkook happily eating Doritos. He caught you eye and smiled. “Come on, I’ll show you to where you’ll be staying.”

Yoongi found some of his clothes for you to wear, laying them on the bed as you wandered around the room.

“Being up this high doesn’t bother you?” You asked, looking out his window. It was only on the second floor, and heights had never particularly bothered Yoongi.

“I guess I never thought about it.” He said, glancing up as you stepped away from the window. “I’ll step out while you change, okay?” You agreed as he stepped out, pulling the door shut behind him.

Yoongi waited for what felt like forever in the hall, and was about to knock on the door and ask you if you were okay when he heard you scream.

“Are you okay? What happened?” Yoongi asked, opening the door and hurrying in. You walked out of the adjoining bathroom to look at him, your eyes wide. You were wearing his jeans and a hoodie, which already looked a bit strange because they didn’t fit. But you were also wet, as though you had been standing in the rain.

“Is everything alright?” Seokjin asked, peaking into the room, concern on his face.

“You have a waterfall in your house.” You said in wonder, pointing to the shower that was still running. Yoongi hurried past you to turn the water off, and sighed when he saw Seokjin’s face.

“Everything’s fine.” He said, walking back over to shut the door on the older man. “Good night, Seokjin.”

Yoongi only hoped that he could either think of a reasonable excuse for you in the morning, or that you would be gone soon. He guessed that too many questions probably weren’t the best idea for a once-mermaid-now-human who was trying to appear normal, and he was determined to help you. It was the least he could do after you saved his life. It was just going to be a bit complicated, that was all.

A/N Yay I updated finally! I was thinking about updating Disposable, but then I decided to update this instead. I only semi-proofread this, so I’ll check it again in the morning if I get the chance. Thank you for reading, I really appreciate all the positive feedback I’ve gotten! You all mean so much to me. <3 As always, let me know your thoughts and feelings on this! Reader might have a hard time fitting in, as well as convincing her father to let her return to the sea! <3 <3 <3

Getting in touch with your guardians and/or guides

I believe most all people have natural guardian and/or guide spirits, which aid them in life. You may not be aware of your spirits, but they are almost always with you, sending you subtle messages and organizing things for you to help life go your way. If you ever feel that things just always work out for you, or you catch a lot of lucky breaks, that could be your spirits working on your behalf. On the other hand if you feel that nothing ever goes your way and life is out to get you, there could be a problem with the spirits that are intended to aid you.

Some people believe everyone has spirits to aid them. I don’t believe everyone does, because I have met people without them. There also exists lore that a person can offend their spirits to the point where the spirits abandon them entirely. From my own experience, when someone does not have spirits around them, it is for an unusual magical reason and this can often be remedied by help from a witch, shaman, or spirit-worker.

Regardless, you very likely have guides around you right now. Meeting them is easy and does not require any kind of spirit summoning or conjuration.

If you use a pendulum and/or a spirit board, have those with you. Otherwise do things the old fashion way and just contact your guides through visualization.

Remember that ‘visualization’ basically means 'magical imagining’. Your imagination is a powerful cauldron of magical potential. When you contact spirits it may easily seem like you are just making them up, but have faith in yourself and faith in them.

Sit or lie down in a relaxed state. Imagine a large door before you. Note what color it is and what style it is. Say to yourself, “beyond this door is the World Tree.”

Open the door and observe a massive tree standing before you. It’s trunk is the size of a city block, it’s roots are as tall as houses. Within the roots of the tree you notice small doorways much like the one you passed through. Think to yourself that you would like to find a room where you can meet your benevolent and helpful spirit allies. A single door will stand out to you. Note it’s color and design, and walk to it. Open the door and pass through.

You will find yourself in a certain location. This will be where your spirit companions feel most comfortable. This could be a cathedral, a cozy cottage, a forest, or a sunny field. Many times I open this door to find blackness, which indicates to me that my guides do not care where they manifest. Observe this location.

Somewhere close you will see your guardian or guide. There may be more than one that appear to you at this time. At first your imagination may become confused and project several different appearances on to your guide, but don’t force anything. Relax and see what comes to you. Remember that your spirits may be in human, animal, plant, insect, mineral, elemental, or mythical form. Do not expect to see a creature that you have a spiritual connection with, as these will not necessarily be your guide spirits. Note what this spirit looks like.

Once you have met, try talking to it. Think or speak your questions and wait for something to come to you – words, images, thoughts, feelings, sounds. A list of questions you can ask is [here].

Once you are done, exit back through the root door. Walk back to the original door you came through, exit it, and close and lock it firmly behind you. Wake yourself up from your trance state with food, water, and mundane activities.

You do not always have to use the world tree visualization to contact your guides. I simply think the names of my companions and I am connected to them, able to communicate mentally.

summer.

It was nearly eighty degrees when your hand wandered up my thigh, catching all the words in my throat. God knows what useless thing I had been rambling on about, but my mind had gone blank and you just chuckled. Your eyes were still fixed on the road as you dared to reach under the cotton of my thin sundress. I gasped when your fingers brushed up my folds ever so slowly.
