send a sentence and a name xx

I read in the paper that my brothers are being thrown from rooftops blindfolded with their hands tied behind their backs for violating sharia law. I heard the crowds stone these fallen men if they move after they hit the ground. I heard it’s in the name of God. I heard my pastor speak for God too, quoting scripture from his book. Words like abomination popped off my skin like hot grease as he went on to describe a lake of fire that God wanted me in. I heard on the news that the aftermath of a hate crime left piles of bodies on a dance floor this month. I heard the gunman feigned dead among all the people he killed. I heard the news say he was one of us. I was six years old when I heard my dad call our transgender waitress a faggot as he dragged me out a neighborhood diner saying we wouldn’t be served because she was dirty. That was the last afternoon I saw my father and the first time I heard that word, I think, although it wouldn’t shock me if it wasn’t. Many hate us and wish we didn’t exist. Many are annoyed by our wanting to be married like everyone else or use the correct restroom like everyone else. Many don’t see anything wrong with passing down the same old values that send thousands of kids into suicidal depression each year. So we say pride and we express love for who and what we are. Because who else will in earnest? I daydream on the idea that maybe all this barbarism and all these transgressions against ourselves is an equal and opposite reaction to something better happening in this world, some great swelling wave of openness and wakefulness out here. Reality by comparison looks grey, as in neither black nor white but also bleak. We are all God’s children, I heard. I left my siblings out of it and spoke with my maker directly and I think he sounds a lot like myself. If I being myself were more awesome at being detached from my own story in a way I being myself never could be. I wanna know what others hear, I’m scared to know but I wanna know what everyone hears when they talk to God. Do the insane hear the voice distorted? Do the indoctrinated hear another voice entirely?

the signs as people from my university
  • Aries: That girl who loves partying and socializing with people, she's a fangirl of so many buffed-up singers and she's so pretty. She's kinda judgmental and she's homophobic but she follows so many gay people and likes their posts and nobody in my generation really understands why. She can be really impulsive sometimes and she hates classes but she's a good friend and a funny person
  • Taurus: That girl who is always late, she has social anxiety and she's silent af. Grades are not her forte'. She tries to socialize very hard and everyone is annoyed by the fact that she tries to discuss things that she really doesn't know shit about. She is afraid of some professors, she is christian af and she is kinda lost, but she's a good girl who believes in the supernatural and she always invites us to coffee at her place
  • Gemini: The girl who loves spending time with people, she always loves to discuss about every topic, she knows so much about many things, she's doing great with her grades and she's among the top 5 students in the entire generation. Also, she has PERFECT, sonorous American accent and everybody loves it. She always initiates coffee gatherings but nobody really comes because she's not that much of a leader and her voice is so soft so nobody could really hear when she's talking. She's also a passionate gamer AND in the same time she finds time to maintain her grades and social life
  • Cancer: That (jock) guy who's the tallest one, he's blonde, buffed-up and he's the definition of a straight white boy. He's childish as fuck and he can become very boring sometimes. Once, my colleagues have shooed him out of the cafeteria because he was bothering them. He also tells so many stupid dad-jokes and laughs at his own jokes, flirts with some professors, has been single since forever (not that he's ugly - he's average looking but he's so much boring sometimes because he doesn't have any real friends and he gets excited about people so he doesn't know WHEN to stop). He literally flirts with every single female human being that he can find and he pushes them all away because he's pushy af. He's also introverted and doesn't really know his way with girls
  • Leo: That girl who's one of the top students in the generation. She's always smiling, she has the best grades, she always tries to present this "perfect" image of herself. She is very intelligent and she loves reading, she gets drunk like every second day but that doesn't stop her from maintaining her perfect grades. She's very successful and she's a good leader, she knows all the fresh gossip and she always sits in the first row with her best university friend. In fact, she and her best uni friend are hated by everyone because they're just so successful and everyone's jealous of them. She also secretly hates everybody and gossips with her best uni friend. She and her friend have tons of screenshots ready to blackmail people if anyone says anything against them lmao. But everyone (every zodiac sign) in this generation pretends we like each other so...
  • Virgo: That professor who's VERY detail-oriented and she's a big perfectionist but she can't fix her awful handwriting. She's very successful and she has TONS of potential, she literally KNOWS EVERYTHING about her subjects but sometimes she can really drain us physically and emotionally. She gives us tons of assignments and homework and she always gives us lectures on the most difficult courses. Jfc she behaves like we study in Cambridge / Oxford. But don't get me wrong, she's NOT a bad person. She's actually a VERY good person and at the end of each semester she buys us coffee and tea, she talks with us about our experience with the course and she just wants us to learn some things that we should learn, that's why we perceive her as "difficult" and "problematic"
  • Libra: That girl who loves hugging, has great communication skills and is a social justice warrior. She thinks that she's everyone's friend and she always tries to criticize everyone's opinion, thinking that she'll seem and sound more intelligent. She also listens to rock and metal, she loves children and she smokes a lot, she's very sensitive and she's very friendly. Once, on the Facebook group of the university, she tried to accuse Pisces of something he didn't do and he literally ruined her in front of all those people, that was one of her biggest mistakes she's ever done in uni because she didn't know that that guy can be pretty evil when someone tries to insult/hurt him. The next day in uni she was on the verge of a mental breakdown because that guy really hurt her with his words, making her look stupid and pretentious, and everybody stopped talking to that guy for like, a month or two
  • Scorpio: That girl who's late in class 90% of the time, and those 10% she's not present in class. She is very quiet and she doesn't show particular interest in anything. She doesn't have a taste in fashion and style, unlike most Scorpios that I know. She just wants to go home all the time and nobody knows what she's doing in her life, she's so mysterious and she's not a good teamworker because she doesn't really care about her grades
  • Sagittarius: That girl who can't stop talking and she's always arguing with someone but we all love her. She's very communicative but she's insecure at the same time. She has tons of likes on Facebook and Instagram. She's a VERY open-minded girl, she hates racism, homophobes, nazi scum and racists. She's a really good friend with Leo and Pisces but Capricorn is her bff and her roommate. She has an excellent taste in fashion, style and music and she has S_L_A_Y_I_N_G eyebrows. I think that she's bi/lesbian but maybe she's closeted. She always hugs Capricorn and gets beaten by Capricorn because Capricorn can't stand people touching her
  • Capricorn: That girl who loves vintage notebooks, loves taking studyblr photos and uploads them on tubmlr and Instagram, she loves journeys and we haven't heard her talking for THREE GODDAMN YEARS. She is very antisocial and introverted but she has excellent taste for art, film, music and she's like 24/7 on her phone because it's obvious that she can't stand most of us but she's always sweet and supportive when someone approaches her. Sometimes she doesn't want to talk and she just smiles as a response. She's Sagittarius' best friend and roommate and they've became really close friends. She also loves journeys and she's a daydreamer but she's very intelligent. Her grades are not that good, she's not an attention whore and she tries to be "invisible" but she simply can't
  • Aquarius: That guy with his cockney accent who has insane memory and loves football. He's actually a loner, he's a bit creepy and weird, le loves britpop and indie nd he was one of the best students in the first two years of uni but his grades dropped. He's like, very secretive and he can be pretty arrogant and you just can't sit next to him because he's telling jokes all the time which takes your attention away. He is a loner and once he publicly told us that he used to have cyber sex with his girlfriend because she lived in another country and they've never met in real life (I mean, who tells such things omg Aqua get your shit together). He tries to insult people and he tries to be sarcastic but he can only be sarcastic with the stupid ones. He also thinks that he's a know-it-all and that he's the most intelligent person in the world. He can be really judgmental sometimes and he pushes people away with that
  • Pisces: That guy who always sits in the first row with his best university friend and is one of the top students in the generation. He's also a model, nerd, gamer, works out and whatnot. He is sweet to everyone and talks to everyone but he can be very sassy at times. He was the one who had a verbal fight with Libra because Libra triggered him and he destroyed her verbally. He's really skinny and dreamy and he has a very deep voice and an excellent taste in fashion and style. His style is kinda dark and he's so aesthetic. He listens to some music that no other people in the world listen to but he also listens to some mainstream music. In fact, he listens to whatever he wants and he doesn't really think about what other people think about him. He tends to roll his eyes a lot and he cares about his physical beauty more than he cares about his love life. He's too egotistic and self-centered and he's extremely picky, which makes him single most of the time.
How them 2000s live actions kids shows be
  • Normal Girl: *internally* I'm just a normal high school girl. I suck at math. I hate my parents. When someone asks me about my opinion on complex socioeconomic issues, I just go "What the heck!?" and start "texting" or something like that. My life would be just like yours, except for one thing: I have an amazing power... I can talk to cetaceans!
  • *at the docks, a bell tolls as our normal protagonist hears the voices of cetaceans bubbling in her mind*
  • Normal Girl: *staring deeply into the ocean*
  • Best Friend: Ahoy! What're you doing?
  • Normal Girl: Just staring into the oceanic abyss, thinking about how much I hate my parents. *internally* I have to keep my ability to speak to cetaceans secret or else... uh...
  • Best Friend: Haha, I feel that, friend. What a colorful life we teens live, our seaside environment awakening a rumbling darkness within ourselves of which we mull on our own with nothing but the unbounding depths of the ocean as our one escape. An escape which serves to only maim our fragile egos with newfound adolescent anxieties.
  • Normal Girl: What are you even talking about?
  • Best Friend: I don't know. I haven't slept in a week. Let's go to the mall.
  • *at the mall*
  • Normal Girl: *internally* My town might as well be called Lamesville. Nothing ever happens here, but the mall can be pretty fun. It's only place in the whole town with anything in it that isn't fish or excessive amounts of woodlice.
  • Best Friend: ...So I'd just dance and I'd dance until my feet broke. When that happened, I'd just get up and dance on my broken feet. And I did this until they were raw and blood was everywhere. I kept waking up in the morning extremely exhausted after this dream. I decided to record myself one night and it turns out I was dancing in my sleep. I haven't slept since I saw that. *leans in close to the normal girl* I'm afraid of what I'll do in my sleep.
  • Normal Girl: Wow, sounds weird... I guess. *sips coffee*
  • Best Friend: OMIGAWD! It's Chad Alphakid. He's coming this way!
  • *the normal girl and her best friend squee*
  • Normal Girl: *externally* That's Chad Alphakid. Who is he? He's only the hottest most coolest boy in this entire lame city. I've been crushing on him since I was like twelve.
  • Chad: Uh, okay.
  • Normal Girl: Did I just say that out loud!?
  • Chad: *sits at the table* Listen, I don't care what you or your friend think of me. I need help!
  • Best Friend: Have you murdered somebody?
  • Normal Girl: Do you need a girlfriend?
  • Chad: No, it's the ocean. The sound of her waves crashing against the shore is like a faultless siren song. There isn't a single night where I don't have visions of floating within her cold embrace. The allure of her boundless depths beckon to me like a lover. I'm afraid that if I don't get help soon, I'll find myself taken away by her to a fate unknown.
  • Normal Girl: *internally* Great, this is a chance to finally use my power to speak to cetaceans to my benefit! *externally* But why do you need us to help you?
  • Chad: You guys are the biggest fucking degenerate weirdos in this washed up town. If anyone knows how to deal with this, it's you two.
  • Best Friend: Haha, truuuuuu!
  • Normal Girl: I'm not a weirdo! I'm a completely normal girl.
  • Chad: Dude, you fucking talk to fish.
  • Best Friend: You do talk to fish.
  • Normal Girl: I don't talk to fish! *internally* I talk to cetaceans, they're mammals, not fish. Also, that's supposed to be a secret, dammit!
  • *at the shore*
  • Chad: Ah, Mother Ocean! Take me!! Take me!!! *attempts to run into the ocean, but gets held back by the normal girl and her best friend*
  • Best Friend: Simmer down, aqualad!
  • Chad: Why did you fools take me here, if not to release into the embrace of sweet Mother Ocean!?
  • Normal Girl: We talked it over and we decided that the best way to get you over your obsession is make you hate the ocean.
  • Chad: Does it involve you talking to fish?
  • Normal Girl: Yes, I mean no. I mean, fuck! Cetaceans aren't fish.
  • *the normal girl sits at the edge of shore, her eyes rolls up in her head as she proceeds to make fucked up porpoise sounds*
  • Normal Girl: *falls over limp*
  • Best Fried: She died.
  • Chad: Does this mean that I'm free to wade into Mother Ocean and meet my fate among her ever chaotic waes?
  • Best Friend: *lets chad go* Yeah, dude. I'm too far gone to care about things anymore.
  • Chad: *strips off all of his clothes* Good. I now understand that there was no avoiding this. This was always a forgone conclusion. My fate is with the waves. Sayonara, weird best friend guy.
  • Chad: *runs into the ocean*
  • Best Friend: *kicks the normal girl's body* Guess she really is dead.
  • Best Friend: *walks home as the night encroaches* My closest friend is dead, and Chad is probably dead too. I wonder where my fate lies?
  • Best Friend: *yawns* Maybe I should go to sleep and just dance myself to death finally. No, I don't think I could go to sleep even if I wanted to anymore. I'm probably going to die from exhaustion in the next few days, not having felt rest or comfort again. Or maybe I'll just stay awake forever. I feel like I was supposed to have an epiphany here, or some type of awakening. But, there's nothing. I feel like everything I've ever done has been pointless. God, I'm just really tired.
  • *back at the shore*
  • Porpoise: *beaches itself*
  • *a gray fleshy version of the normal girl crawls halfway out of the porpoises mouth*
  • Normal Girl: There goes my corpse! *drags her weird porpoise body towards the corpse* Why did I die with such a dumb expression on my face? Lame! I hope Chad didn't see.
  • Normal Girl: *looks around with beady eyes* No one's here. I can finally do this.
  • Normal Girl: *kisses her dead body on the lips* Blargh!
  • Normal Girl: *spits out blood* I bit my tongue when I died. Gross. I guess I can cross making out with my dead body and becoming a mermaid off of my bucket list, though.
  • Normal Girl: *sighs*

Imagine… Maggie and Kara can’t find Alex. The time is running out and Maggie is horrified. She’s been broken before in her life, but she is sure losing Alex will kill her. She fights with Kara about the plan to save her. A lot. Both of them very passionate about their feelings for Alex.

Maggie is sitting in Alex’s apartment, it’s late, lights are out, glass of scotch in her hand. She doesn’t even know how she ended up here, it’s like her feet brought her there on their own.

She’s not even capable of crying anymore. She’s exhausted, desperate and angry. She should be angry at people who took her, but she’s more angry at herself. Cos she is the one not able to help her. To find and save her. Maggie would give anything to get her back, to keep her alive, to hold her in her arms once again.

She pours herself another glass of scotch, looking bluntly over the apartment.

The place she kissed her, after realizing she has feelings for her. And there, when they spent the first night together, making coffee, being so happy.

Quiet sob escapes Maggie’s lungs. They fought. They fought pretty badly before she was taken. And the reason was basically Maggie’s stubbornness. She never said to her how much she loves her.

What if she never gets the opportunity to do so? Was the last words she ever said to her really the angry, sarcastic ‘of course you do’?

Quiet ‘swoosh’ sound interrupts her thoughts and even without looking back, she knows Kara just flew into the apartment.

It’s way past midnight, but she isn’t really surprised Kara is there. She needs to feel Alex as much as she does and this is the best place for it.

Maggie puts the glass on the table and slowly gets up, not saying anything. They haven’t talked after the big fight few hours before.

“I’m sorry,” almost a whisper resonates through the apartment, Maggie surprised at the words coming from Kara’s lips.

Maggie walks around the couch and stops in front of Kara in her Supergirl suit, looking into her eyes. A single tear falling down from her eye.

“No Kara, I’m sorry. You’ve been in Alex’s life for so much longer than me, it’s not my place to assume that-”

“Maggie,” Kara cuts her off, hearing her own voice trembling with emotions. “You make Alex so happy… she’s never been so happy I…. She needs you… I need you.”

Maggie swallows hard, nodding a little. “I love her,” she whispers. “And I haven’t-” her voice fails, ugly sob escaping her lungs.

She feels strong arms wrapping around her shoulders, pulling her into a heartfelt hug.

“I know,” Kara whispers, closing her own eyes, feeling tears falling down her cheeks.

“I haven’t told her,” Maggie is crying. She feels her legs melting into nothing, finally letting go of her restraint, letting her emotions and all the feelings out.

Kara holds her, literally supporting Maggie from falling to the ground. Kara feels exactly the same way. But she knows she must stay strong. There is still time and they will find her sister.

No matter the cost.

“We will find her Maggie,” Kara feels after a while, she can let go of her, so she does. She looks right into Maggie’s eyes.

Maggie is surprised by the severity of Kara’s expression.

“Now is time to cross every line we need to cross. We do it your way and we will save Alex. What do you need me to do?”

Maggie quietly nods. They are going to save Alex.

Together.

Can You Hear Me?

Pairing: Sam x Reader

Word Count: 1,868

Warnings: angst, mention of blood, mention of stitches, fluff

Prompt: Sam and the reader are taken by a wendigo. Things look scary, then scarier before they finally start looking up.

A/N: Special thanks to @impala-dreamer for betaing. There are two prompts used in this fic and thanks to @lipstickandwhiskey for providing the prompts: “Squeeze my hand if you can hear me” & “”Do you still have your blindfold on?” His voice came from where he was dangling next to you. “Yes.” “Promise me you won’t take it off.” Both will be bolded.

“Dean,” you bellowed. Your voice was weak and hoarse, barely reaching the person beside you.

“Y/N?” You breathed a sigh of relief at the sound. Sam’s voice; right next to you.

“Sam!” you cried, struggling to move your arms. You pulled at the ropes, grunting when you couldn’t pull yourself free.

Just a Memo - Boyf riends

Title: Just a Memo

Word Count: 1822

Pairing: Jeremy Heere x Michael Mell (boyf riends/Meremy)

Warnings: None unless you consider dorks being dorks objectionable

A/N: This originally started out as a headcanon so the writing style is more informal-ish towards the beginning.  Also this is my first piece of actual fanfic ever so bear with me here. :’D

Jeremy still sometimes hears the Squip talking in his head.  It’s so faint though, that he’s not really sure if it’s just his own thoughts or if it actually is the Squip.  Either way he doesn’t tell anyone.  Maybe, he thinks, it’ll just go away on its own.  No, the voice says, It can’t be gotten rid of that easily.  But nevertheless, Jeremy continues to live as though there weren’t possibly the ghost of a half-mad supercomputer embedded in his brain.

One day he notices his left hand moving of its own accord (to do what, he had no idea) and flips the fuck out— but regains control of it immediately after panicking and flailing it around for a second.  This type of thing starts happening on occasion; usually just small actions probably meant to inconvenience him.  That time he caught himself aiming a crumpled ball of paper at the back of a teacher’s head was one of the more notable ones.  Oh, and that time he poured a glass of water on himself probably qualifies as well.

Jeremy realizes that he really can’t deny the Squip’s presence at this point, but it hasn’t tried to do anything super malicious, so he decides to wait things out before taking any drastic action.  One day he sees his hand reaching for a pen on its own.  Normally he’d jerk it back on reflex and that would be it, but he decides to leave it alone and see what happens.  His hand picks up the pen and starts writing on a scrap piece of paper.  Definitely not his handwriting, he notes with a mix of apprehension and curiosity.  Then it stops.

Y O U R  F L Y  I S  U N Z I P P E D

Jeremy hurriedly looks down.  Shit.

After remedying the situation, he stops for a moment to direct a mental ‘thank you’ at the Squip.  Hell, that’s probably the nicest thing it’s ever done for him.  And so it continues.  Every so often he’ll notice his nondominant hand moving of its own accord, writing a helpful (or not-so-helpful) suggestion courtesy of the Squip.  The notes are brief— no more than a sentence or two.  He’ll usually follow them if the advice doesn’t seem too fishy.

One day Jeremy’s at the school library with Michael, both of them studying for an upcoming math test.  Well, Michael’s the one doing most of the studying.  It’s not for lack of trying on Jeremy’s part, it’s just he keeps finding himself distracted by Michael.  It’s not his fault that Michael bites his lip in the cutest way when he’s figuring out a tough problem, or that the sunlight dancing across his face makes him look like some kind of angel, or that his hair looks so incredibly soft and touchable that Jeremy really wants to run his fingers through it.  Man, he thinks, some girl’s gonna be so lucky to have him someday.

He shakes his head and turns back to the study guide for what must be the fifth time when he finds his hand moving to write a note from the squip.  It’s become a common enough occurrence that he’s not too fazed by it, but he’d really like to make some headway on this problem, so he’ll just check the note once he’s finished.  His Squip-controlled hand sets down the pen and taps on the desk impatiently.  In a minute, Jeremy thinks.  But the Squip isn’t having it apparently, because it slides the study guide off the table.  He curses under his breath and reaches to pick it up when the Squip suddenly forces him to wipe something else off the table.   It’s the note.

A S K  H I M  O U T  A L R E A D Y.

What?!  Jeremy has to stifle a snort.  He’s obviously not gay, as evidenced by his massive crush on Christine.  The Squip must be more broken than he thought.

His hand snatches a pen off the table and scribbles on the back of the note.  Jeremy thinks he can almost hear an exasperated sigh in the back of his mind.

Y O U R  O B L I V I O U S N E S S  I S  K I L L I N G  ME.

Jeremy’s face reddens a bit as he crumples the note and resumes studying.  But he still can’t concentrate, thanks to the Squip’s comment.  So what if he thinks Michael’s attractive?  Doesn’t mean he’s gay.  It’s not like he wants to make out with Michael, or hold hands with him, or cuddle with him, or…

Fuck.

Well it doesn’t matter either way.  Michael’s probably straight as a board, and even if he weren’t, he could do so much better than Jeremy.  Not that he’s jealous or anything.  Just stating the facts.  Jeremy’s a just another hopeless nerd, but Michael’s so cool in his own way and he doesn’t even know it.  Guys like him are cool in college.  Guys like Jeremy just fade into the background.  But regardless, he has a math test to study for.

Less than ten minutes later he finds his hand moving to write another note.  He considers jerking it away but can’t bring himself to do it.

“Dude!  You never told me you were ambidextrous!”  Michael practically jumps out of his chair in excitement.  He leans across the table to get a better look at Jeremy’s squip-controlled hand, which suddenly stops writing and moves to cover the note.

“What— oh,” Jeremy freezes up.  Sure enough, he’d been working a math problem with his right hand while the Squip wrote a note with his left, “Uh, yeah… I guess it just never came up?  It’s really not a big deal.”  A light blush dusts his cheeks as Michael picks up his hand and stares at it in amazement.  Jeremy figures it’s probably best to just let Michael believe this whole ambidextrous thing instead of telling him the Squip is back and has taken to spontaneously writing notes of advice with his nondominant hand.

“Not a big deal?!” Michael cries, “Are you serious?  Only two percent of humanity is ambidextrous, you happen to be one of them, and you’re telling me that it’s not a big deal?  It’s freaking AWESOME!”

“If you’re about to say we should celebrate this by getting stoned in your basement, I’m gonna have to pass.”  Jeremy deadpans as he gently removes his hand from Michael’s.  Have his hands always been this soft?

“GASP!” Swooning dramatically, Michael clutches his chest and falls back into the chair “I AM HURT.”

“I’m sure you’ll survive.” Jeremy says with a laugh.  Even if the Squip were right about him liking Michael, he decides it wouldn’t be worth risking their friendship.  The pain of losing moments like these greatly outweighs the possible benefits of confessing— BUT there’s nothing to confess so it doesn’t matter anyway!  He glances toward Michael, who has gone back to his study guide and is doing that cute lip biting thing again…

… Okay so maybe there’s a little that could possibly be confessed.

Michael gestures towards the note currently covered by Jeremy’s Squip-writing hand. “So what were you writing anyway?  With that hand, I mean.”

Jeremy freezes.  Just when he thought he was in the clear too.

“How do you even take two sets of notes at once?” Michael muses, “That’d have to involve some serious parallel processing capacity on your part.”

Shit-shit-shit-shit-SHIT.  Jeremy lifts his hand slightly so he can see the note.  Maybe it’s nothing he’d have to worry about Michael seeing?  Yeah, he can probably just write it off as a note to himself for later on.  It’s probably nothi—

I  R E A L L Y  L I K E  Y O U  M I C H A E L.

Oh fuck.

“Uh— it’s nothing,” Jeremy says a little too quickly.  He’s sweating bullets.

“Oh?”  Michael raises an eyebrow, “Well if it’s nothing, then I’m sure you won’t mind if I just—” he moves to snatch the note but Jeremy slaps his hand back over it.

“I-It’s just a memo,” he stutters unconvincingly as his face turns bright red.  Is the Squip seriously trying to set them up?

“Just a memo?” Michael grins wickedly and slaps his hand over Jeremy’s own to wrestle for the note, “Gee, you’re awfully cagey about it for being something that’s ‘just a memo’.”

“AUGH— Come on man!”  Try as he might, it’s a losing battle.  Jeremy’s left hand seems to be actively betraying him as he struggles to keep the note away from Michael.  Goddamn Squip is probably laughing it up right now.  They grapple a few more seconds before Michael emerges victorious with the note.  Jeremy’s face falls and he can feel a pit forming in his stomach.  There’s only seconds until their friendship is ruined.

“AHA!” Michael raises it high in the air like a victory trophy.  “Time to see what dark secrets—” his triumph turns to shock, and his lips part in an ‘o’ shape as he stares at the note. “…Oh…”

“I-It’s not what you think!”  Jeremy laughs nervously, knowing full well there’s no way out of this.  He’s awaiting Michael’s response like a prisoner waiting for execution.

“You sure about that?” Michael begins, blushing hard, “Because, I mean, this seems pretty…” he searches carefully for his next words, “…straight-forward.”

Jeremy’s sure there’s nothing he could do to make this any worse.  But naturally he finds a way.  “…Pun intended?”  He buries his face in his hands as he realizes what he just said.

Michael just stares at him for a moment.  His expression is unreadable.  Then he starts to laugh softly, in that way Jeremy always thought was so cute but now couldn’t be more worrying to hear. “Oh my god… Jeremy.”  He sighs as though he’s been holding his breath for a long time, “You big dork.”  He says as his face breaks into a smile.

Jeremy looks up.  His heart is racing a million miles an hour it’s pounding so loudly he’s sure Michael can hear it.  “Wait, you’re not…” he trails off.  Mad?  Straight?  Interested?  He’s not sure what he’d prefer at this point.  It feels like he’s floating, ready to drop into freefall or soar into the sky at any moment.

Michael grins, “I really like you too.”

His heart soars.

“I have for a while now.”  Michael admits sheepishly,  “I just thought you didn’t, uh, swing that way.”

Jeremy melts right then and there.  He’s pretty sure he would’ve passed out if he hadn’t been sitting down.  God, how didn’t he see it before?  He can hear a faint “I told you so.” in the back of his mind but he doesn’t care.  Michael likes him too and that’s all that matters.  Jeremy gathers his courage and straightens up, a look of intense determination on his face, “D-Do you wanna maybe finish studying back at my place?”

Michael takes his hand. “I’d like that.”

You’re the Reason I Come Home (Part 2/2)

Summary: You and Bucky have been through a lot together. But when things become too much and Bucky breaks up with you, you find that you could lose him completely.

Pairing: Bucky x Reader

Word Count: 3,800

Warnings: Language, slight mention of injury (nothing graphic), mention of death, slight depression, & OH GOD THE ANGST. (but stick with it, I promise)

A/N: This fic got a lot more recognition than what I was expecting, so thank you for that!! It’s almost to 300 notes now, so that’s pretty crazy for my first fic after hiatus. But I hope you guys enjoy this just as much (or even more) than Part 1, as this part is definitely my favorite. It was awesome to write & to be narcissistic, I kinda teared up a bit while writing the ending scenes. But I hope everyone enjoys this just as much as I enjoyed writing it <3

“Bucky!” you squealed in excitement and jumped up to hug him. He smiled brightly at your reaction and hugged back, walking the both of you into your apartment.

“I can’t believe you’re here” you mumbled into his neck, trying to hold him closer as you snuggled into him. He chuckled, lifting you up and you wrapped your legs around his torso. He easily walked around with you and sat down on the couch. Pulling back, you took his face in your hands and pressed a kiss to his lips.

“Ugh I missed you so much” you kept pecking his lips and he smiled against yours, bringing his metal hand to the back of your head to hold you steady as he deepened the kiss. You followed his lead without hesitation. Bucky’s hands roamed your waist and he pulled your shirt over your head. The split second you had to part made you realize you had completely forgotten what you had been doing before Bucky had shown up at your apartment door.

You're Not Dying// Spencer Reid x Reader

Prompt: Reader calls Spencer and insists she’s dying even though it’s just a flu. (I changed it to a phone call instead of texts so I hope it’s okay with you!)

Requested by: @willthecrystalgemflowerchild

“Is that Y/N?” JJ asked with a sly smile as Reid’s phone went off while they made their way through the hotel hallway. He nodded, smiling slightly at the way your names flashed on the screen.

“She’s got good timing,” JJ added with a grin as she stopped at her own room. “Goodnight Spence.”

“Goodnight,” he replied quickly as he hit the answer button. He had been wanting to hear your voice since they’d landed that morning but the case they were on had demanded more attention than he had anticipated.

“Hey beautiful,” he said as he answered your call. He grinned to himself as he opened his own hotel room and let himself in, his shoes immediately kicked into a corner.

“Spencer I’m dying. Oh my god. I’m dying.”

Immediate alarm flushed through him at your words.

“What are you talking about? What’s going on?” He asked, his mind already racing. He instinctively took a step back towards the door, ready to run out of the case for you. He had seen you the night before and you had been fine for the most part. You had complained about allergies but it was something that wasn’t a life threatening situation.

“I’m heating up. My throat is sore. This is it, Spence. I’m done for,” you managed to croak out. He recognized the stuffiness in your voice. He’d heard it all last winter when you’d spent a week in bed after insisting on walking in the rain.

“Y/N, you have the flu. Those weren’t allergies last night,” Spencer replied in realization. “You’re not going to die,” he chuckled.

“You don’t know that,” you replied stubbornly. Your head had been pounding since the morning and you had slept through most of the day. Already you had gone through two tissue boxes since waking and the fatigue in your body was less than pleasant. “You’re not that kind of doctor you know.”

Spencer laughed at your defiance. It was always the same when you got sick. You’d quickly overthink everything and he had to peel you away from the WebMD website every time, with you declaring that you were dying of some terminal illness. It was amusing but he knew just how much attention you needed while ill and he wasn’t there this time around.

“Have you taken any medicine?” he questioned as he kicked off his trousers. He struggled to undress with one arm holding the phone before he decided to simply put you on speaker.

“Yes. All I had was NyQuil though so I’ve been asleep for ages,” you replied. You were still curled up in bed, the blankets around you only fueling the fever you had.

“You said you were hot. You need to take some Tylenol or Advil. Something to stop it.”

He could hear unhappy grumbles on your side as you forced yourself up and towards the small cabinet that held all the medications. You fumbled around for a bit, grabbing the bottle of pills and a glass of water.

“There. I did it,” you announced before trudging back to your bed. You were exhausted and the pains of sickness had left you feeling a bit loopy. “Are you coming home soon?”

“We just got here. So no, I don’t think so,” he replied with a sigh. “It depends on how the case turns out.”

He hated leaving you alone when you were sick. You would revert back to a childlike phase, refusing to see a doctor and begrudgingly taking the medication you needed. He only hoped you’d get better soon.

“Alright. I should get some rest and you should too. Call me when you can, ok?” you replied sadly.

“You know I will. I love you,” Spencer said. “Goodnight.”

You were asleep. Or at least you had been until a warm hand had wrapped around your shoulders, shaking you lightly until your eyes finally opened. You blinked, forcing your eyesight into focus.

“Spence?” you asked in confusion. He smiled at your sleepy state, his hand cupping your face and running a finger across your cheek.

“Hey,” he said softly, “I came home for you.”

“What? Are you sure that’s okay?” You asked as you sat up, your mind still foggy from the medicine you had taken.

“Yeah. They can do one case without me,” he assured with a nod. Suddenly your mind cleared and you realized he was actually home.

You grinned, your arms reaching up to pull him down. He laughed as he landed on top of you, his head on your chest as you placed kisses on his forehead. He caught sight of the flu medicine and the trash can overflowing with tissues.

“I told you that you weren’t dying,” he chuckled. You rolled your eyes playfully. You did feel better this morning.

“Well I guess you’ll just have to make sure I don’t take a turn for the worst.”

I felt the couch shift slightly as someone sat beside me. I immediately knew who it was, and I was happy to act like I was sleeping until the end of time to avoid him. “Y/N,” Bucky whispered softly as he placed his hand on my back. I stiffened at the contact.

“Don’t,” I snapped as I sat up and looked at him. I could tell it was nearing the early dawn hours by the soft yellow light that flooded through the windows.

“Please doll,” he whispered as he placed his hand back in his lap. “I didn’t ask for her to be there. I told her to leave right before you came in,” he explained – desperation dripping from his voice.

“Don’t you get it?” I laughed as I hastily wiped tears away from my eyes. “You did ask for it, Bucky. You slept with her and kept it a secret before breaking it off…” I paused for a moment before turning to him. “Did you even really break it off or were you seeing her when you started spending time with me?” The words sounded much more accusatory than I had meant for them to be.

Bucky blinked for a moment – shocked at the words that had come out of my mouth – before anger flashed across his face. “For Christ’s sake, Y/N! If you would just let me explain what happened!” he answered, exasperated, as he slammed his fist onto the couch.

“I think I can sum it up quite nicely. You fucked my best friend, and kept it a secret from everyone on the team. You then broke it off with her— knowing that she had feelings for you, and began pursuing me. You then did the exact same thing to me,” I muttered bitterly as I looked anywhere but at him.

“Except I didn’t break it off with you – you ran away. Off to some place that I couldn’t find, and refused to talk to anyone. And then when I called to apologize you told me it’s over, and hung up. Let’s not forget about the sister I never knew existed.” Bucky was becoming more agitated by the minute as he struggled to reign in his emotions.

“I didn’t tell you about her because I was trying to protect her!” I shouted as I angrily pushed myself off the couch.

“And why won’t you believe me when I tell you the same thing?” he asked as with a sad sigh. His anger had deflated and he was grappling for words as he ran his hands through his hair nervously. The sight of him looking so helpless and confused disarmed me and I felt my own anger ebb. All the things that Steve had confided in me about Bucky’s happiness and subsequent withdrawal after I had left came flooding back. I sat down beside him softly.

“When did you start having nightmares again?” I asked quietly. In the months that we had been together he rarely had nightmares, and even when he did they were no where close to what he had had tonight.

“Since you left,” he responded just as quietly.

“I’m sorry I left. I know it wasn’t the right thing to do. I should have stayed and talked to you…. I missed you,” I added as I rested my hand over his.

“Then nothing else matters. It’s all in the past. We can move forward,” he responded fiercely as he gazed up into my eyes.

His words echoed back to those of another, who had once said the the same thing—holding me captive with the promise of a better tomorrow for years. I could feel the chill creep into my heart again as I quickly removed my hand and watched Bucky’s face melt into confusion. “It does matter and you know it,” I responded brutally.

“Why? Why can’t we talk about this and move on from it?” Bucky pleaded.

“Because I love you!” I yelled at him as I pushed off the couch once again. I froze at my sudden announcement. I hadn’t meant to say it – I had just been trying to reason my feelings out in my mind and it had slipped through. I looked at Bucky as he sat frozen on the couch. His mouth opened and closed several times; unable to formulate any type of response to me. I turned to leave – it was like I was living my own personal nightmare. I had prepared for this revelation as best as I could, but I had failed miserably in its delivery.

“Y/N, wait,” Bucky breathed as his hand wrapped around my arm – stopping me in my tracks. I turned to look at him again, but still saw the same troubled and terrified blue eyes that I had witnessed when I had accidentally confessed my feelings. “I…”

“Just tell me this Bucky – why did your best friend have to come find me in secret? Why wasn’t it you?” I asked bitterly as tears stung my eyes. Bucky looked down at the ground unable to answer me. “Jesus Christ – I can’t stay here and look at you like this,” I muttered as I yanked my arm from his grasp and turned to leave. As I stepped into the elevator I turned to make sure he wasn’t following me and saw him standing in the same spot I had left him. Just before the doors closed he turned to look at me with tears in his eyes.

I slumped against the wall of the elevator once the doors had closed. I felt like I had had the breath knocked out of me. Tears trailed down my cheeks as I tried desperately to regain my composure. Some of the others would be awake by now and I didn’t want to stir any suspicion. I couldn’t answer their questions – no matter how well intended they might be.

As the elevator doors opened to the common room I rushed through them – determined to dart to my room. In my panic I wasn’t paying attention to my surroundings and ran into Steve.

“Woah, Y/N! Where’s the fire?” he chuckled. The humor in his eyes extinguished when he looked at my bloodshot eyes and tear stained cheeks. “What happened?”

“I…” I was finding it hard to speak, and keep my composure. “I walked in on Nat comforting Bucky after a nightmare and I…” Steve visibly tensed at this.

“Go on,” he said as he wrapped his arms around me and brought my head to his chest.

“I… he followed me, and I confronted him… and… I told him I loved him,” I whispered as I buried my head into Steve’s chest. I just wanted to disappear. “And he didn’t say anything, Steve… He just stood there.”

“Y/N,” Bucky’s voice came from behind me. I stiffened at the sound. I didn’t want to be anywhere near him. Steve hugged me tight as he sighed into my hair.

“Y/N, you should head back to your room. I’ll come check on you in a second,” Steve muttered. I looked up at him confused.

“Steve, I can…” but the look he gave me stopped me in my tracks. I swallowed hard before Steve’s arms dropped to his side and I half-turned defensively towards Bucky.

“Y/N, I…” but Bucky’s words were halted by Steve’s fist hitting him straight in the jaw. He blinked once before falling to his knees. He stared at me as I turned to leave.

“What the hell were you thinking?” Steve asked angrily as I retreated to my room – unwilling to participate in a super soldier brawl.

I slumped back to rest my head on my door. I was dizzy from the tale-spin of emotions that I had just endured. I heard Bucky trudge down the hallway with Steve close behind him.

“What are you doing?!” Steve demanded before a door slammed – securing both men safely in Bucky’s room, and making it less likely that they would wake up the entire tower.

“What am I doing?!” Bucky bellowed back. “I’m trying to win my girl back, and you keep getting in the way Rogers!”

“What the hell are you talking about Buck?” Steve asked – astonishment driving his voice to become even louder.

“Every time I turn around you are there with her. How am I supposed to even get a second to make things right when you are always there?!” Bucky yelled back at him before quieting himself – he must have regained enough sense to realize I could hear everything he was saying.

“You’re kidding, right? You don’t need my help fucking things up, Buck. You’re doing great on your own,” Steve answered incredulously. I could tell that Steve was trying to regain control of his anger but was struggling. “She literally ran away from you, and you refused to run after her. If it wasn’t for me she wouldn’t even be here, you fucking idiot!”

Silence lapsed between the two men as I held my breath – waiting for Bucky’s response. There was of course no way I could have known that Bucky would snap and run full force towards his best friend. Suddenly there was a loud crash and a cloud of debris as the two men came hurtling through the wall –Bucky with his hands still around Steve’s throat. I shrieked in response as I scrambled off of my bed and into the corner of the room as the two men crashed onto the floor. They rolled around – jabbing at one another and grunting. After the initial shock wore off I looked at the gaping hole that now adorned my bedroom wall, and felt anger bubble up from within me.

“What the fuck do you two think you’re doing?!” I screeched as I stomped over to the two of them and fruitlessly attempted to pry them apart. The men continued to fight as I yelled at them. Hot angry tears rolled from my eyes as they finally broke apart – realizing suddenly where they were and what they were doing.

Bucky scrambled to his feet quickly – his hair in disarray and he shirt partially torn. “Doll I am so..”

“What the fuck gives you the right to act like fucking two-year olds? Both of you are grown ass men! God! Just get out of my room!” I yelled as I stomped my foot in frustration. Without saying another word both men quickly exited. I groaned as I looked at the gaping hole in the wall near my bed. As Bucky entered his own room I realized there was no way I could stay. Not without seeing him, and hearing him every second – I angrily padded across the room, and grabbed my gym bag before making my way to the gym.

“How would you describe him?” They ask me.

“He’s perfect,” I say.

“No one is perfect.”

“Perfect is the only way to describe him. He isn’t nice, he’s so much more than that. He isn’t handsome, handsome doesn’t describe his boyish smile or his dreamy tall frame or his adoring black hair. He isn’t just a good listener, because I loved to hear him tell his own stories too. And he doesn’t just have a nice voice, that doesn’t describe his fruity laugh or the way he speaks when he talks about what he loves. I could go on forever, but when I think of perfect, my mind goes straight to him.”

anonymous asked:

protectively Sportacus is best sport (Sportacus happens to hear someone make jokes about Robbie's tic's, can be a child or adult that's new to town.

Huge thanks to @rottensocksandfluff for helping me work this one out. Thanks, love! And thank you, anon, for this surprisingly fun prompt.

Also shout out to @spobforpresident for their photo set on Sportacus looking like he’s ready to kill a man. Inspiring.

“Oh hey, we’re in Lazytown, right? So that Rotten guy’s gotta be around here somewhere.”

“Rotten? He’s the town’s villain right? I think I’ve heard of him.”

“You’ve probably heard him too. That guy talks to himself all the time. He’s such a freak.”

Sportacus, who had been doing push ups behind a wall in the park, froze. He wasn’t usually one for eavesdropping or spying, but the conversation the three strangers were having as they walked by struck a nerve. He crouched low behind the wall and popped his head up, watching them.

“Right? I remember seeing him in Mayhemtown once. He even walks like a freak,” One stranger, a man in a grey shirt, gave an exaggerated frown and hunched his shoulders up to his ears, almost waddling with his knees bent. The other two laughed at the inaccurate display. Sportacus’ eyes narrowed.

The second stranger, a woman with a large white hat, giggled, “I think I have seen him then! He comes into my shop sometimes. He always makes these weird faces when he’s looking around.” She scrunched up her own features and crossed her eyes. This was met with more laughter. Sportacus tried very hard not to grind his teeth.

“That’s so him!” cried the third stranger, even though it wasn’t, “I’ve heard he’s pretty stupid for a villain too. Lets little kids beat him. Lives underground like a mole.” He shook his head, “People like that ought to be put away.”

That was the last straw.

Sportacus leapt over the wall he had been hiding behind and ran at the strangers. He flipped over the three of them and landed in front of them, hands on his hips and fake smile plastered on his face, “Hello there!”

They all jumped at his sudden appearance. The man in the grey shirt pointed, “Hey, you’re that blue sport guy! Sporta-somethin’.”

“I’m Sportacus,” Sportacus said, jabbing a finger at his chest, “I’m Lazytown’s hero.”

The woman with the while hat snorted, “We were just talking about your freakish villain,” she giggled unkindly, “Looks like this town doesn’t need you too much. That guy makes his own problems.”

“About that…” Sportacus waked up closer to them, standing a foot away, “I don’t think you three know Robbie at all.”

The third stranger laughed, “What’s to know? He’s a weirdo, end of story.”

Sportacus hummed, reaching up to scratch his cheek with his left hand, “Well for one thing, my husband,” he flexed the fingers of his left hand deliberately, “Is a very smart man. He makes all his own inventions and his own clothes. He’s kind and caring and never makes fun of people for things they can’t help.”

All three strangers were staring at him at this point, no longer smiling, moving their gazes between him and the ring on his finger.

Sportacus forced out a laugh, “Actually, speaking of tics, I have one too,” he said, stepping even closer to them and dropping all mirth from his face, “Whenever I hear people talk badly about my loved ones, I can’t help but want to break their noses. Weird, isn’t it?” He lowered his voice, “In fact, the only thing that stops me is if they leave Lazytown very, very fast.”

That was all it took to make the strangers bolt. Sportacus smirked to himself and walked away, absently rubbing his thumb over his ring.

8. “My friend said I couldn’t do it so I had to prove them wrong.”
22. “My family has a recipe to fix this.”
So, I hope you like it!

“What have you done to me?”
“A curse. But you can also call it ‘a step away from death’.”
“What have you done!?” I shout louder; I feel the tears wet my face.
“You’re dying.. indeed, no. Your child is dying. So delicate.. but there is a cure. The blood of a powerful heals your child. The blood of an archangel. ”
I look down, my gaze is pure horror; I can’t breathe. The blood of an archangel..
“..ops, too bad they’re all dead.”

“Dean..”
“No. Y/n, it’s impossible for me to allow you to do such a thing.”
“But, Dean..”
“We’ll find another way.”
“There is no other way!”
A few days ago, a witch gave me a curse. My baby is slowly dying, and I feel his heart beat more and more slowly. I can’t stay calm to do nothing, I can’t kill my baby; our baby, mine and Dean’s. Because he doesn’t understand? Dean paces nervously back and forth to the library, and observe him, I get dizzy. We need to talk to Lucifer; the witch said that the only cure to save our son is the blood of an archangel. But they are all dead: Gabriel, Raphael, Michael.. but Lucifer, he was an archangel before his fall, and he still has archangel’s blood in his veins. The problem is that Lucifer doesn’t want to talk to anyone but me. And Dean doesn’t want me to put me in trouble.
“Lucifer will be closed in his cage, with me there will be Crowley, and Rowena. Nothing will happen to me.”
“I said no. End of the matter, Y/n.”
I try to think even once Dean, but it’s useless. I breathe slowly, trying to keep calm. I understand that he’s worried about me, and for the child. But there will be no danger to me.
“How can you say such a thing? It is what our son is dying! Will not you save him?”
“Of course I want to save it, damn it!” I jump when Dean makes a fist on the table; he licks his lips, and then looks at me.
“I’ll find another way to save it. But we’re not going to Lucifer; I will talk to Rowena. Maybe she knows what to do.”
Dean lays a kiss on my forehead, and after taking his jacket, he comes out of the bunker. He doesn’t know that I have already spoken with Rowena, and she knows no other way, that talk to Lucifer.
I go into the kitchen to drink some water, and I find Sam with a book in his hands, as he reads. When he sees me, Sam puts the book on the table and coming toward me; he wrapped his long arms around my body, and I without thinking twice, I make tiny against his body. Dean and I have quarreled violently, and we screamed. Sam will have definitely heard the whole conversation.
“Are you okay?”
I would answer yes, but clearly it is not. Since Dean has known the child, chaos reigns in the bunker. Every day there is a reason for strife and shouting at us against.. Should I be happy that he cares about me, but the fact that he does remain closed to me all the time in the bunker to do nothing, is like torture for me. And now after all this time that I came out of the bunker, we hunted a bitch witch; we killed her, but it didn’t do anything. A curse like the one that launched her, doesn’t go away with her death.
“No, Sam. I’m tired..” I say, as small tears fall down my face.
“I just wanted to help Sam.. I didn’t want to stay forever locked in a bunker. And now my baby is dying.. and it’s my fault. ”
“Y/n, it’s okay.. we will find a way to save him.”
“Don’t you understand that the only way to save it’s Lucifer!?” I yelled, pushing away from me Sam. He looks at me with his usual sad look, but he says nothing. I know he thinks like Dean; he doesn’t want release Lucifer again, after all that has happened. But how do they not understand that there is only one possible cure, and it is him?“
I moved away from him, and I run to my room. I lock myself in the room, and I throw myself on the bed, with tears in my eyes.
“Hey puppy. Everything okay?”
I open my eyes, and I sit on the bed to see who it is. Although I already recognize his voice.
“Crowley.”
The King of Hell is approaching me, and sits on the bed beside me. I keep my distance from him, and alert.
“What are you doing here?”
“My dear daughter, you called me.”
“It’s not true.”
“Yes, rather.” Crowley said, looking into my eyes. I look down; I have really been calling him? I cannot even admit it to myself. Dean and Sam don’t want me to talk with Lucifer, but if I do..
“I want to talk to Lucifer.”
Crowley smiles, and getting out of bed, he wanders around the room, rummaging through my things. Then he turns to me and looks at me with his usual air of superiority.
“Excuse me?”
“I need to talk to him.”
The smile disappears from the face of Crowley; he comes close to me again, and looks at me.
“Why should I?”
“A witch hit me with a curse. And my baby is dying. Lucifer is the one who can save him. Please..” I get up and shake hands Crowley in mine. I know he is not a person you can trust 100%, but he’s still my father, and like it or not, my child is also part of his family.
Crowley closes his eyes and sighs; he takes my arm, and with a snap of the fingers, we find ourselves in his ‘headquarters’. I look Crowley and I thank him with the gaze. I breath deeply: it’s time to talk to the devil himself.

“What a surprise Y/n.. I thought that you hadn’t the courage to see me again.”
I approached the cage; Lucifer is in its interior, thanks to a Rowena’s spell. His eyes are fixed on me, his satisfied smile makes me nauseous.
“My friend said I couldn’t do it so I had to prove them wrong.”
His laughter echoes in the air, like an annoying hiss that doesn’t want to quit. I make a step forward to get closer to the cage, but then I remember the words of Rowena.
Don’t get too close.
“Tell me Y/n, how is the little devil in your tummy?”
I shudder at his words; how does he know I’m pregnant? Lucifer wanders in his prison, with the grin on his face. I take a few steps back, and I turn to go away; how stupid. It wasn’t a good idea to summon him, Dean was right. What made me think that Lucifer will give me his blood to save my baby, without wanting something in return?
“You sure you want to go? Didn’t you want to know how to save your little devil?”
“Stop calling him that.”
“Oh, but it is. You are the beloved daughter of Crowley, and you’ve got demon blood in the veins. Not to mention the baby’s father..”
I press my hands over the ears to stop hearing his words, but the voice of Lucifer continues to echo in my head, as if he were talking to my own mind.
“Who knows what will come out of the son of a half-demon, and one that kills people..”
“I said stop!”
I make a few steps toward the cage, and in a moment, Lucifer leans toward me. I feel his hands holding my arms, and in a blink of an eye, I am in the cage with him. I opened my eyes, I feel the breath fail me; I push away Lucifer from me, and I scream the Crowley’s name. I see the King of Hell quickly approaching Rowena, look for a way to get me out.
“Hmm, what’s wrong?”
Meanwhile, Lucifer is getting closer to me, I feel his breath on my neck.
“Sorry darling.. I felt so alone.”
Suddenly I turn, I wrap my hands around the collar of his shirt, and slam him against the cage. He didn’t seem to worry about, in fact, he laughs louder. Almost as if he was enjoying.
“Get me out of here!” I scream at him, while I try to stay calm. But I can’t; I begin to panic, and Lucifer rests a hand on my back.
“Ssh calm baby, you’ll be a heart attack.”
I close my eyes, and I do some deep breaths; I’m a stupid, stupid, stupid. I would have had to listen to Dean, stay by his side, trying to understand him. And instead, I’m locked in a cage with the devil, and I haven’t even had the opportunity to apologize to Dean, for what has happened with the witch. I feel the tears forming in my eyes when I hear again the voice of Lucifer in my head.
“So.. you want or not to save your child? You know, my family has a recipe to fix this.
I raise my eyes, which meets that of Lucifer; I know that the 'recipe’ of which he speaks, is its blood. He smiles at me, knowing exactly now he can control myself. I approach him, trying not to cry; I must be strong, for Dean, for our son.
“What do you want in return?”
Lucifer smiles and slowly approaching me; suddenly I hear a voice shouting my name, I turn around and I see Dean, out of the cage, with a mixed look of worry and despair. Sam is on the side of Crowley and Rowena, and try to get me out; soon they will find a spell, and I will not have the chance to save my son, if I don’t move. So, I turn to Lucifer, and I walk closer to him, so that they don’t hear us.
“Help my baby, and I’ll do whatever you ask.”
At first hesitant, then Lucifer approaches me with a smirk on his face, and his lips touching my ear. I widened my eyes when I hear the words of Lucifer; I would like to take a step back and think about his request, but I don’t have the time, and for my baby.. I’d do anything.
“We have a deal, Y/n?”
“Okay.” I can only say these words, then it all happens in a moment; the hands of Lucifer brushes my stomach, and a light escapes from them. I feel my heart beating faster and faster, and my head is spinning. I close my eyes, the cage seems to spin faster and faster.
“Don’t forget me, darling.”
I open my eyes, and Lucifer winks at me; I try to say something, but suddenly I feel an invisible force pushing me to the bars of the cage, and away from Lucifer; within seconds I’m out, in the arms of Dean.
“Y/n, you’re right?”
“The baby.. is fine.”
The head begins to turn again, and then, the dark.

When I wake up, I’m back in my room, to the bunker. Dean is near me, and when he sees that I have opened my eyes, he smiles.
“Y/n, how are you?”
I get up out of bed, and I sit next to him; I embrace him, and I feel the tears slowly down my face.
“I’m so sorry, Dean. It was all my fault; before the witch, then Lucifer.. I should listen to you.”
“Shh, it’s okay. Now it’s all over. Our baby is fine.” Dean says, massaging my back. He puts his lips on mine, and his thumbs wipes my face with tears.
“Lucifer is still in the cage, and will not come out. You and I will have our baby. Everything will be fine.”
I smiled, trying to hide my concern. I squeeze in his arms, and again, I hear the words of Lucifer echoing in my head.
When the baby is born, I will come pick you up. And you’ll have to choose. Or you, or the child.

Warm Me Up ch. 37

This one is shorter but that’s because it was not only hard to write, but I was also listening to some painful songs. I could read over it or elaborate without opening my own can of worms so…. Mediocrity will have to do for this one. Sorry, but thank you for reading.

It had been a restless night. As Nico slept, Will would hear sudden shuddering breaths- the aftermath of crying so much before falling asleep. Will struggled to wrap his mind around all the pain Nico faced. He didn’t want to let him go even when Nico groaned and tried to pull away in his sleep because it was hot and he was sweaty. Will couldn’t sleep well. Not after hearing everything Nico had lived through.

“Thank you for saving me.” Those had been the last words Nico uttered before falling into his fitful sleep. As if it had been because of Will that Nico overcame everything. As if Will had been the one picking him up each time something happened. As if Will had been the one to keep him alive this long.

Nico had no idea how strong he was. He had no concept of the strength he held in himself. The resilience. Will knew that not everyone would’ve made it to college in Nico’s circumstances. He knew that not everyone would’ve been able to live on their own. He knew that not everyone would’ve been able to make it through such a toxic environment. But Nico had.

Nico had pushed through, and he was here, in the same bed as Will, breathing, rosy-cheeked. Sleeping, he looked younger. Not at peace, not completely. There was still a furrow in his eyebrows and a slight frown in his parted lips. But he didn’t look like a 19 year-old who had grown up almost completely alone and all too quickly. He looked smaller, more vulnerable.

Will wondered vaguely how many people had woken up to Nico. How many people had slept beside him and seen the same sleeping face? Then he wondered if any of them appreciated and loved the sight as much as Will did. He wondered if any of them looked at Nico with the amount of wonder Will felt. If any of them had any idea how incredibly strong Nico was.

Something told him nobody ever had.
