take me away from this planet

Hyuk forehead/middle-part appreciation post

ok but my favorite giant/tiny dynamic is where the tiny is a super tough badass, they aren’t afraid of anything, get angry a lot, super sarcastic and deadpan, generally just really crabby, soulless and intimidating

and the giant is the shyest, sweetest person you could ever meet, they talk in the softest voice and are afraid of most things (but would never hurt anyone), kinda sad with loads of love in their heart nonetheless

ironically the tiny always ends up protecting their giant more than the giant protects them, and they view the giant as the cutest, most precious thing, while the giant always is awed by their tiny friend and how brave they are, and sees them as the bigger person

bonus points if the tiny is something super small like a fairy, or if the giant is actually several feet tall

Le Petit Prince - quotes 🌠

Le Petit Prince (1943) is a novel by Antoine de Saint Exupéry, translated into English as The Little Prince.

🌟 1. Les grandes personnes ne comprennent jamais rien toutes seules, et c’est fatigant, pour les enfants, de toujours et toujours leur donner des explications.

Grown-ups never understand anything by themselves, and it is tiresome for children to be always and forever explaining things to them.

🌟 2. Quand le mystère est trop impressionnant, on n’ose pas désobéir.

When a mystery is too overpowering, one dare not disobey.

🌟 3. La preuve que le petit prince a existé c’est qu’il était ravissant, qu’il riait, et qu’il voulait un mouton. Quand on veut un mouton, c’est la preuve qu’on existe.

The proof that the little prince existed is that he was charming, that he laughed, and that he was looking for a sheep. If anybody wants a sheep, that is a proof that he exists.

🌟 4. Mais les graines sont invisibles. Elles dorment dans le secret de la terre jusqu’à ce qu’il prenne fantaisie à l’une d’elles de se réveiller…

But seeds are invisible. They sleep deep in the heart of the earth’s darkness, until some one among them is seized with the desire to awaken.

🌟 5. Il ne faut jamais écouter les fleures. Il faut les regarder et les respirer. La mienne embaumait ma planète, mais je ne savais pas m’en réjouir.

One never ought to listen to the flowers. One should simply look at them and breathe their fragrance. Mine perfumed all my planet. But I did not know how to take pleasure in all her grace.

🌟 6. Tu as des cheveux couleur d’or. Alors ce sera merveilleux quand tu m’aura apprivoisé! Le blé, qui est doré, me fera souvenir de toi. Et j’aimerai le bruit du vent dans le blé…

You have hair that is the color of gold. Think how wonderful that will be when you have tamed me! The grain, which is also golden, will bring me back the thought of you. And I shall love to listen to the wind in the wheat…

“One only understands the things that one tames,” said the fox. “Men have no more time to understand anything. They buy things all ready made at the shops. But there is no shop anywhere where one can buy friendship, and so men have no friends any more. If you want a friend, tame me…”

🌟 8. Le langage est source de malentendus.

Words are the source of misunderstandings.

🌟 9. Voici mon secret. Il est très simple : on ne voit bien qu’avec le coeur. L’essentiel est invisible pour les yeux.

And now here is my secret, a very simple secret: It is only with the heart that one can see rightly; what is essential is invisible to the eye.

🌟 10. C’est le temps que tu as perdu pour ta rose qui fait ta rose si importante.

It is the time you have wasted for your rose that makes your rose so important.

🌟 11. Tu deviens responsable pour toujours de ce que tu as apprivoisé. Tu es responsable de ta rose…

You become responsible, forever, for what you have tamed. You are responsible for your rose…

🌟 12. - Les enfants seuls savent ce qu’ils cherchent, fit le petit prince. Ils perdent du temps pour une poupée de chiffons, et elle devient très importante, et si on la leur enlève, ils pleurent…

“Only the children know what they are looking for,” said the little prince. “They waste their time over a rag doll and it becomes very important to them; and if anybody takes it away from them, they cry…”

🌟 13. Ce qui embellit le désert, dit le petit prince, c’est qu’il cache un puits quelque part…

“What makes the desert beautiful,” said the little prince, “is that somewhere it hides a well…”

🌟 14. Dessine-moi un mouton!

Draw me a sheep!

🌟 15. Quand on a terminé sa toilette du matin, il faut faire soigneusement la toilette de la planète.

When you’ve finished getting yourself ready in the morning, you must go get the planet ready.

🌟 16. J'aime bien les couchers de soleil. Allons voir un coucher de soleil…

I am very fond of sunsets. Come, let us go look at a sunset…

🌟 17. On ne sait jamais!

“One never knows!”

“One must command from each what each can perform,” the king went on. “Authority is based first of all upon reason. If you command your subjects to jump into the ocean, there will be a revolution. I am entitled to command obedience because my orders are reasonable.”
“Then my sunset?” insisted the little prince, who never let go of a question once he had asked it. “You shall have your sunset. I shall command it. But I shall wait, according to my science of government, until conditions are favorable.”

🌟 19. C'est véritablement utile puisque c'est joli.

It is truly useful since it is beautiful.

🌟 20. ‘Où sont les hommes ?’ reprit enfin le petit prince. 'On est un peu seul dans le désert.’
'On est seul aussi chez les hommes’, dit le serpent.

“Where are the people?” resumed the little prince at last. “It’s a little lonely in the desert…" "It is lonely when you’re among people, too,” said the snake.

🌟 21. Vous êtes belles, mais vous êtes vides…. On ne peut pas mourir pour vous.

You’re beautiful, but you’re empty…. No one could die for you.

🌟 22. Les hommes ont oublié cette vérité, dit le renard. Mais tu ne dois pas l’oublier. Tu deviens responsable pour toujours de ce que tu as apprivoisé.

“Men have forgotten this truth,” said the fox. “But you must not forget it. You become responsible, forever, for what you have tamed.”

🌟 23. Mais les yeux sont aveugles. Il faut chercher avec le cœur.

But the eyes are blind. One must look with the heart…

Happy 17 Million Subs, Markiplier!

Happy 17 Million Subs, Markiplier!

@markiplier

Sorry for the late post. I wanted to post it when we hit 17 mil, but you know I’m shy about my art and also I slaved over this for two days please be gentle

This was a pretty fun one to work on. My health is the same as always, so straight lines are absolutely still not a thing I can do, but I’ve been trying to embrace the messier aesthetic and I’m really quite pleased with how these turned out.

I know it still leaves a lot to be desired, but comparing it to similar things I have done in the past, like the 7 Million Sub art (which also has a dog) or the unholy mess that was the 8 Million Sub art (which I’m trying to give myself a pass on since I was at the hospital that day, but c’mon guys, that was bad) I am definitely improving.

If you’ve followed me for a while, you’ll notice that my art and myself dropped right off the face of the planet for a year, almost two. I had no confidence in myself or in my work, and I let that take me away from what I love to do. It was Mark who brought me back into it. As I mentioned in this post, a lot of things changed for me after I watched the video where Mark talks about how he is excited for failure, because it helps him to grow. Directly after that, simply because one of my roommates put it in the queue on the Chromecast, I watched Mark’s Draw My Life. Although our circumstances are very different, I saw myself in him. I saw myself in the lost person who switched college majors all the time and didn’t know what he wanted. As weird as it sounds, that gave me some hope, which is something I desperately needed. If he can pull himself out, why can’t I?

So here’s the truth: I am in school for advertising, but what I really want is to be a writer. It’s my dream, and my passion is art. I quit both for a very long time, because I couldn’t accept the fact that my illnesses are chronic. I couldn’t accept that I will never “get better”, and that made me stop trying, because why live a broken life, anyway? But just because I’m fractured doesn’t mean I have no value. My brain thinks some terribly sad things, but that doesn’t mean that I can’t write beautiful ones. My hands may be unable to draw straight lines, but that doesn’t mean they can’t draw pretty ones.

So thanks for helping me learn that, Mark. I know you’ll never see this, of course. I’m not delusional. But I’d much rather have a thank-you unheard than a thank-you unsaid, y’know?

So thank you.

Because of you, I’m trying again.

~*~

As always, you can find these pieces of art on my Redbubble here. (x) (x) (x)

If you made it this far, thank you for reading my ramble. I know it’s irrelevant to you guys, but it helps knowing that I might not just be shouting into the void.

alien emoji rating

I really like aliens so I’ll go ahead and rate my little boys

Apple:

He looks cute and kind of nice, this shows that aliens do come in piece, the gradient effect gives a 3 D  S P A C E  P I N B A L L feel which is a nice touch. 4/5. He’s really nice, someone give him live stock for his planet.

Goolge:

I’m not sure Google is aware of the popular conception of aliens, but maybe they know something we don’t???? The colors are flat, something that in most cases is not bad, but this time it is, he seeks intelligent life yet he looks as he has no life at all. 1/5.

Microsoft:

He’s conventionally attractive and happy for some reaon, I’d let him make patterns in my crops, the T H I C C lines are not the best idea but the glow in his eyes are perfect. Not the best desing choices but I can deal with it. 3/5.

Samsung:

Isn’t this the most visually pleasing gradient ever made by human kind? But not for this guy, he looks like he’s dying cuz can’t breath our oxygen, poor fellow, also his face looks strange, he might as well be Mr. Burns. 3/5. Looks really smug and I bet this kid thinks he’s the smartest guy in the class.

LG:

Straight out of the uncanny valley, the face you’d expect to see from a badly written creepypasta edited over an old photo that’s supposed to possess you, looks scary, creepy and offsetting but not in the nice way aliens are supposed to look. Please deport him to his planet. 0/5. Save your children from LG cellphones.

HTC:

Look at this guy, like LOOK at This gUY!! His cute smile, this lime boy looks so mischievous, probably on space Santa’s naughty children list. The lines, the colors and the E D G E S are so pleasing to the eyes. 5/5. I’d let this guy invade my planet any day and eradicate all sentient matter without hesitation.

Facebook:

He’s scary, creepy and offsetting in the nice way aliens are supposed to be, the soulless eyes and the grey color blend so nice together making him intimidating and also hypnotizing. 5/5. Please take me away with you and use me as a guinea pig for your nefastus plots.

Messenger:

The colors looks like he’s from a flash animation and his face of utter disgust makes him unpleasant, I’ll take him with my leader because I don’t wanna deal with him. 3/5. You might be ugly, but you’re the designated emoji for most of my chats.

Twitter:

He’s minimalistic and cute, this grey buddy is my friend, please hug him and treat him nicely, he just want diplomatic relations with our planet, give him love and natural resources, he deserves them. 4/5.

Mozilla:

This guy is not an alien, he’s a light outlet. He’s nice and is probably that one cousin they sit with you on family gatherings, not because you get along, but because they want you to keep him from doing something stupid like breaking a bowl or causing a nuclear holocaust. 2/5. Sorry Kyle, I’m not your baby sister.

What she says: I’m fine

What she means: Next to Normal is a modern masterpiece. The heart wrenching show is truly one of the best of its age. It is one of the most moving and interesting musicals anyone could watch. It’s modern and honest take on mental illness and how it affects a family is SO IMPORTANT, not to mention the music is extremely likable. Alice Ripley’s performance in this show is absolutely breath taking. The way you can hear the pain in her voice can bring me to my knees in prayer. Her character demonstrates what it means to suffer from severe mental illness that you feel you cannot get away from. Aaron Tveit as Gabe Goodman is one of the best things on this planet. His voice is completely orgasmic. The way he lets his character play with your mind so that you’re almost rooting for him is completely genius and its a sheer demonstration of his endless talent. Also Jennifer Damiano is so beautiful and talented. Her character is so smart and is a perfect demonstration of what it can feel like to live in a dysfunctional family. Next to Normal is truly everything and needs to be cherished like the beautiful musical it is.

Let's get real for a second

Being a single mom is hard. Like really hard.

Everything is on me, from things as small as cooking dinner to things as big as potty training. Every single day, every single minute I hear the constant whines, cries, laughter, and “mommy’s” I don’t know what silence is. I don’t know what it means to sit down and watch a 30 minute TV episode.

My house often goes unclean. Sometimes we eat Easy Mac for dinner. I usually go 3 days between showers.

New clothes, the cost of daycare, anything from Tylenol to toys to diapers is all paid for by me.

And the kicker? Society looks at single moms like WE’RE the ones that failed, that we couldn’t keep our legs closed, or we did something to make our man run away. But what society doesn’t see is the millions of articles I read to be a better mom, the time I’m taking off work so I can be at my son’s school party, or that I’m stretching myself thin to give my son everything he wants.

Single moms are by far the strongest beings on this entire planet and I think we deserve a little more recognition than we receive.

Author’s Note: Yes, this is the last part of the series, and I still don’t want it to end. I don’t think I’m ever going to be ready to say goodbye to this series. It’s been such a joy getting to create these characters and their dynamics that have led up to this final part; getting so much love for something that you work really hard on outlining and thinking about relentlessly is such a joy of mine. The amount of support this story has gotten over the months has boggled my mind. Thank you to everyone who has read or commented or talked to me about the series; you all have helped make All Too Well by giving me the motivation to push the story beyond what I thought it was capable of.

.

It’s strange what four months away from home could do to a person. In hindsight, four months is a relatively insignificant frame of time, especially when taking a step back to look at the bigger picture. Looking at your life, you know that four months is more of a whirling experience on the grand scale that is twenty-one years of living and breathing on the planet. But you have every confidence that the you who stepped onto the plane four months ago is a completely different you who is stepping off the plane four months later.

There is a freeing sensation, to look out the window from your seat, to see miles of city landscape and for once not be terrified of what lay past the horizon and the vast oceans. To see miles of beyond and actually know what kind of culture, what kind of people, and what kind of places filled the blanks of your mind.

But underneath everything, underneath your different mindset, your achieved goals, the knowledge that you were finally, finally on the path you’ve dreamt of since the beginning—Seoul is the same, and so are the people who roam across the surface. Seoul is still the same, providing a benchmark to measure your own growth with.

There is still the same food that floods your mind, the same night markets that America lacks, the same city lights that you dream about from your own smaller apartment across the oceans. There’s the same hustle, the same music that makes your lips curl up, because it’s a curious thing to not know how much one longs for home until that home has been taken away for four months.

But you’re back, and you wouldn’t have it any other way.

Hey! I really loved your fic where Kara came out to Maggie! Do you think you'll write/would you write a follow up of the next morning where Kara says all the things to Alex? You are amazing and I am in awe of your artistic gifts

(The first fic that this wonderful Anon is referring to – http://archiveofourown.org/works/9122290/chapters/21282563 )

“Hey, hey, I can walk. Or fly. Should I fly?” Kara’s sleepy words are stumbling almost as much as her feet, and Alex and Maggie both smirk softly.

“Nah, Kid Danvers, best save the flying for later, huh? When you’re a little less – ”

“Groggy,” Alex supplies, and presses a kiss to Kara’s forehead as she and Maggie work to lay Kara down squarely in the center of Maggie’s bed.

They tuck her in from either side, and Kara whines when they start to retreat back into the living room space of the studio.

“Noooo, Alex, you just got home, don’t go! Maggie’s comfy, tiny, so tiny, but she’s comfy, and you’re comfy, and – ”

“Shhh, Kara, I’m gonna eat something, and then I’ll come right to bed, okay?”

“Maggie too?”

“Yeah, Little Danvers, I’ll come too.”

“Promise?”

“Promise.”

Satisfied, Kara grins sleepily and settles down into the pillows, her breathing starting to even out again.

“She’s been crying,” Alex whispers to Maggie, and Maggie nods as she pours water for Alex and gestures her toward the two slices of pizza they’d left for her.

Alex digs right into it cold, a habit she’d picked up from Maggie; and normally, Maggie would made a snarky comment, but tonight? Tonight, she lets it go with a soft, affectionate smile and a passionate kiss to Alex’s cheek.

“Mmmm,” Alex hums, leaning into Maggie as she chews, and as soon as she swallows she turns her face to put her lips on Maggie’s, and Maggie sighs and sinks into the kiss, and her lips part and Alex wants to take her right here, right now, but Kara, Kara, Kara.

She pulls back and both of their bodies keen at the loss.

“She’s okay, Alex. She just… like I said, she just has some stuff she wants to talk to you about.”

Alex chugs water and pizza and more water and more pizza.

“Okay but what stuff? Is she alright? Did someone hurt her? Why didn’t she come to me? What – ”

“Whoa whoa, okay, Danvers, listen to me. Eat your pizza and come to bed. Okay? I’ll go out in the morning to get you both breakfast, and Kara will talk to you then. She’s fine. I promise. And if you’re not fine when she tells you what she has to tell you, that’s okay. I’ll be here. And so will she. Okay? Nothing’s wrong.”

With anyone else, Alex would fight. With anyone else, Alex would resist and insist and push harder, harder. But with Maggie? Alex stares at Kara’s sleeping form – she’s safe, she’s safe, Maggie’s been taking good care of her, she’s safe – and sighs, and chews, and swallows, and nods.

“Let me brush my teeth. And then you’re going to find out what it’s like to share a bed with a little sister who fidgets in her sleep. And has Kryptonian strength.”

“Well, her sister’s pretty damn strong, and I can handle her in bed just fine,” Maggie lowers her voice an octave or two, and Alex nearly swoons.

“Maggie! Kara’s right there!”

“She’s sleeping – ” Maggie tickles her.

“Maggie!” Alex shrieks a soft laugh and tickles her right back.

“No funny business with Kara around, even when she’s in dream land. Yes ma’am. Come to bed, Danvers.”

And she does, and she stays awake long after Maggie settles on the other side of Kara, long after Maggie’s breathing evens out, long after the soft circles Maggie’s tracing on Alex’s arm – both of their arms thrown over Kara’s stomach – slow and stop because Maggie’s fallen asleep.

She stays awake, and she relishes the heat of her little sister next to her, the way that Kara, even in sleep, feels safe enough to snuggle with both her and Maggie.

She stays awake, and she wonders what Kara could possibly have told Maggie before telling Alex.

She doesn’t remember falling asleep, but she’s woken up by a soft kiss on her lips.

“Morning, beautiful,” Maggie greets, and Alex smiles groggily and reaches for Maggie’s cheek.

“Hey,” she croaks, and Maggie’s smile deepens.

“Hey there. Listen, your sister’s in the bathroom, and I’m gonna hit the gym with James and then bring you both back breakfast. Okay?”

“Mmmhmmm.”

She’s still yawning and stretching when Maggie kisses her one more time – two more times, three more times – and slips out of the apartment.

She jumps when Kara speaks, not having noticed her slipping out of the bathroom. She’s wearing one of Maggie’s college hoodies, and Alex’s heart warms.

“You really love her, don’t you?” Kara asks, and Alex rubs her eyes and sits up.

“What makes you say that?”

“You’re usually out of bed like a shot. But you trust her. She makes you feel safe.”

Kara plops on the bed in front of Alex as her older sister sits up, nodding.

“She makes you feel safe too, apparently. What was so scary you couldn’t come to me first, Kara? I mean, not that I mind you going to Maggie. I like it, I like that you trust her, love it, but I… Kara, what is it?”

Alex might be more relaxed in the morning, being with Maggie, but she certainly hasn’t lost any of her directness. Kara sighs and adjusts her glasses before staring at her sister and taking them off completely.

Alex’s stomach twists. That means they’re in for a really intense conversation. She puts her hands on her sister’s, careful not to interfere with the way her fingers fidget with themselves, with Maggie’s sweatshirt, with the comforter.

“Kara, I love you. Whatever it is, you can – ”

“I like girls. Women. I like men, too. I’m bisexual, Alex. Or, pan. I – I don’t know. I’m not sure what word feels right yet. Maggie says it’s okay that I don’t know yet. She says I don’t have to be sure. But the thing I am sure of is… is that I like girls, too. Not just guys.”

She looks more terrified than she did when facing off with Reactron, and Alex blinks once. Blinks twice. Blinks again.

“So, you’re queer.”

She stands and she paces and her brow stays furrowed and Kara’s lip trembles.

“I’m sorry, Alex – ”

“Sorry?” Alex drops to her knees and gathers Kara’s hands back into her own and smooths the hair out of her face and shakes her head. “Sorry? Kara, why would you apologize?”

“I knew you’d be angry – ”

“Angry? Kara, no, I’m not angry! I’m just… I’m just trying to figure out why you’d tell my girlfriend before you’d tell me. And like I said, I love that you’re comfortable with Maggie, I really do, I just don’t understand – ”

“Because you just came out, Alex! You just came out, and you’re just figuring yourself out, and the whole reason you didn’t figure yourself out earlier was me and how selfish I was and now I’m doing it again, I’m taking up that space from you again, and I don’t want to, I don’t want to take anything away from you, I just like her so much and I can’t keep it to myself anymore, but I don’t want to take space from you, not again – ”

“Kara. Kara. Kara. Stop. Stop it. Please, Kara, listen to me. You… you didn’t… Eliza gave me responsibility over you, you didn’t ask for it. You’d just lost your entire planet, Kara, you didn’t ask for me to… to give up my whole life for you. You just wanted a family, and that’s… that’s what you are, Kara, and nothing – nothing, you understand me? – is ever going to change that. You’re not taking anything away from me, Kara. You can be bi, or pan, or queer, or whatever label you like, but you are my sister before you are anything else, Kara. And you deserve to figure yourself out with me at your side, not with… with tears on my girlfriend’s shoulder in the middle of the night when I’m not home. Okay? It’s okay, I just… I want what we’ve always wanted – to share our lives. And if that’s queer lives, all the better. Kara, I love you, always, I – wait. Wait, Kara, did you say – who do you like so much? Who’s her?”

Kara’s wet, smiling eyes suddenly go wide, and Alex’s hand that had been so busy stroking Kara’s hair, wiping her tears, stills.

“Kara.”

“Yeah, this um… this is the other part I was scared you wouldn’t like.”

“Kara. It isn’t Livewire?”

Kara busts out a laugh that nearly causes Alex to overbalance. “What? No! No, it’s not – it’s Lena, Alex. Lena Luthor.”

Alex is quiet.

Alex is quiet for a long, long moment, and she bites the inside of her cheek, and Kara tries desperately to keep breathing.

“Well, she definitely likes you back. And you, Kara, not just Supergirl. So, you know, when Maggie gets back, we can strategize. If you want.”

“Strategize?” Kara’s voice is small, strained, because Alex says Lena likes her back, Alex says Lena likes her back, Alex isn’t mad, Alex isn’t mad, Alex loves her always, always, always.

“Well, come on, Kara. You have about as much game outside of that suit as… as Winn has.”

Kara reaches to adjust her glasses and fumbles when she remembers that they’re not on her face. Alex arches an eyebrow and leans back, her case in point.

“It – I – that’… I – I have plenty of game – ”

“As Supergirl, maybe. We’ve gotta figure out a way to channel that SuperSuave into Kara Danvers.”

“I… you love me, Alex?”

“Always, Kara. Always.”

Love is a bittersweet false prophet,
a two faced sacrosanct god,
an idol whose altar I worship at.

It’s aching, longing,
tearing apart heart strings,
eating up galaxies inside me.

I chase it down with a shot of vodka,
and pretend it’s burning can drown out my love.

I know it’s just a mix of chemicals.
Human euphoria with man made drugs.

Just my brain telling my heart to get really fucked up,
and oh how I do, over you.
(and I do it a lot.)

Love is a cult,
and I’m straight in the fucking middle of it,
open arms, chanting hippie mantras.

I’ll carve my heart into a mandala for you,
I’ll sow you a tapestry of my devotion.

I’m in an open field and
you are the meadow grass swallowing me up,
carry me away, enfold me in your arms.

I am a flower and you are the soil,
I bloom and you eat me up.

I can’t help it when I see you,
hands are always reaching, wanting, longing.

I have to stop my fingers from curling around yours,
or dragging across the curve of your cheek,
the hollow of your neck.

I have to stop my head from finding your shoulder,
my lips from parting for yours.

Love is a preacher,
and I am the congregation under his song.
Oh lord, how I pray.

Love is a siren,
and I am the ship of men,
Oh sea, drown me today.

Love is the fucking sun,
and I am the planet in it’s love struck cosmic embrace,
Oh gravity, take me away.

Love is longing, reaching, wanting
and fuck oh god,
You don’t know how bad I want to.
You don’t know how bad I want you.

—  when I make you laugh it’s not like when I make other people laugh, because I don’t still hear their voice in my dreams for weeks.

Imagine Bones has like a huge amount of cousins, and they just keep showing up everywhere?? Like, they go to visit his family, and there's like 60 of them, but that's to be expected. But there's like 7 in San Francisco?? Then they dock at Yorktown and there's another 4! And then they run into another ship while they're out exploring... (1/2)

and their head of security is also a cousin! Isolated research station on a nearly uninhabitable planet in the middle of nowhere? 2 of the scientists are his cousins! Planet inhabited only by aliens because humans can breath its atmosphere? Oh look! There’s Greg, he’s adopted!

Imagine Jim, Bones, and Spock getting trapped on some random planet. They have no way to communicate with the ship, no shelter, and a storm is blowing in. Just when Jim and Spock are starting to panic worry, Bones whips his head up.

“What planet is this??”

“Does it matter?? We need to find shelter-”

“What planet?”

“Magus III”

“Nice! I got one cousin who, if I’m remembering right. lives by the ‘tallest tree-lookin’ thing on the northern hemisphere’. I also got one who ‘lives near a pile of rocks that looks like a dick’. Her words, not mine. She’s on the southern side. Take your pick.’

They end up finding the cousin who lives by the tall tree. Jim is planning on taking Bones on EVERY away mission from now on.

“To Antis, with love,

A good friend of mine recently had a meltdown because of ‘antis’ posting their hate in the ship tag. Mind you he has autism and it isn’t just bordering on moderate; he can do things like interact with people, but it can be difficult holding a conversation without him changing the subject and he will never be able to live without assistance of some sort, especially because he has been suicidal in the past and has trouble holding down jobs. We’re hoping to find him work since he’s been asking, but it might be hard for him to get one after what happened recently. Let me clarify:
