Every person who reblogs this will have a Pokémon egg in their submissions and a Pokémon will hatch from the egg later.
The egg will be randomly hatched. It may be evolved, shiny, or even a legendary. (Only reblogs get eggs, not likes)
Once this post hits 8000 reblogs it stops. At this point if it hits 8000 it will take me about 22-30ish weeks to finish because of work and college. I’m glad seeing people still love Pokemon. I thought I could keep up with you all. Yeah, nope, but it’s fun. 8000 reblogs though then please let this post die please. Since I’ve done it for a few and I’m stopping at 8000, if you want more than one egg please reblog and say so and you’ll be randomized with more than one egg. Thank you for reading this and I hope you all can continue to love Pokemon.
Nasa is to host a major press conference on a “discovery beyond our solar system”.
The event will see the revelation of major information about exoplanets, or planets that orbit stars other than our sun, according to a release. It made no further mention of the details of what would be revealed.
The event will take place on 22 February at 1pm New York time, it said. It will be streamed live on Nasa’s television station and on its website.
Attending the press conference will be astronomers and planetary scientists from across the world.
Nasa said that the public will be able to ask questions using the hashtag #AskNasa during the conference. The agency will also hold a Reddit AMA, or ask me anything, session straight after the briefing.
Is Cass's initial illiteracy something essential that should go into future adaptations of her (whether live action, animated, etc) and if so, how could it be worked into her development?
Absolutely! Illiteracy is a real an debilitating factor in at least 14% of the US population, and that’s not taking into account the 22% of people who struggle reading past a 5th grade reading level. And that’s only in the United States. It’s an important problem that is not often addressed and can often isolate people suffering with these issues, especially for those who, like Cassandra herself, struggle with this issue due to a combination of unsupportive/abusive parenting and real reading disabilities like Cassandra’s (formerly canonical) dyslexia.
It’s a huge part of her characterization and has always been an important function of how she relates to other characters and the world around her. It’s why her original series Batgirl (2000-2006) was so unique and so beloved by people – it was a book that was so accessible and full of expressionist art that it was able to relate to and be understood at “lower” reading levels without lacking the significant nuance and maturity of its overall story.
It wouldn’t take much to express these things and transfer it into other medium either – actually, you could argue it’d be easier to express this in media that utilizes more than written language. Just use moments like these:
[Batgirl (2000-2006) #2]
[Batgirl (2000-2006) #12]
[Batgirl (2000-2006) #16]
[Batgirl (2000-2006) #20]
[Batgirl (2000-2006) #33]
[Batgirl (2000-2006) #47]
[Batgirl (2000-2006) #54]
[Batgirl (2000-2006) #58]
[Batgirl (2000-2006) #61]
[Batgirl (2000-2006) #67]
[Batgirl (2000-2006) #69]
On an unrelated note, I’ve seen articles and posts claiming that Cass’ disabilities were not a visible or relatable part of her character in her own series and I just… really fail to understand where those people are coming from or what series they were reading, because literally these are the moments that just come to the top of my head when I think about Cass dealing with illiteracy and how important it is to her character. I didn’t even get the guest appearances in other books where it comes up.
Anyway. It’s an essential part of her character and it’s also something that is important and deserves more representation in all media.
My boyfriend DM’s a group of our friends and created a homemade Cyberpunk game, complete with custom classes. I’m a hacker, there’s a theif, a sergeant, and a doctor. For some background, we wake up from cryogenic sleep into a zombie apocalypse and are forced to play a survival game by this black orb. The DM made the mistake of giving me an overpowered arm modification, called doomfist, that let me punch through walls.
Me: Can I talk to Lamar?
DM: Do a constitution saying throw
DM: He picks you up and throws you into the wall, you take 22 damage.
Sergeant: oh he’s dead, no one hurts my team
After the battle
Sergeant: I’m gonna cut his head off and take it with me, last thing we need is it crawling back together.
DM: but.. I.. uh.. Okay
DM: All the doors lock and a poisonous gas begins to fill the room
Me (hacker): I’ve still got charges on my Doomfist, so I’ll punch through the wall
DM: But, I *begins to laugh as all his plans fly out the window* okay
Later we are interrogating the man in charge
Me: Well, I give up. He won’t give us any information, so let’s just put him in the room with Lamar. He’s not in his machine that controls the place anymore.
DM: You know what!? I’m done, you guys messed everything up, just have your tanks too!
And the rest of the session was utter nonsense as I ran around in a spider tank, the sergeant had a regular tank, the doctor had a monster baby eating people, and the their crawled though the vents at will.
22/100 days of productivity!! sorry for the super long hiatus ahh (･ ･;) we learned about RNA interference/ RNAi today!!! it was pretty interesting hehe!! we also got to look at c.elegans under the microscope!! the worms were pretty gross but!!!! really love practical work for biology!! ✨
Plot: Everybody (except Ruby) is shit faced. The night is wild and everybody is lucky Dia is too busy to kill them all.
KananMari, RubyMaru, ChikaRiko, YouYoshiko, Dia x Mystery Girl
SFW: with strong language, adult content [alcohol, sexual innuendos, hot kisses, and a lot of touching] sex happens but it’s not written.
Summary: Ruby cannot believe what’s happening.
A/N: Still split in everyone’s POVs with some taking longer than others because quite frankly, they were too funny to cut short. Remember this is a college AU and everybody is aged up!
Dia spots a
candidate. It’s hard to see well in the club and her beer goggles don’t exactly
help, but she doesn’t need much help distinguishing breasts—her only real criteria.
smoothly, gracefully, working very hard at coordinating her legs and feet. It’s
paying off, thank god. She doesn’t trip over herself as she gets close enough
that the girl can hear her shy intonations.
“Hi.” Dia can
feel her stomach creeping into her throat. The girl glances at Dia with pale
blue eyes set afire by the club’s strobe lights. Her features are on point with
Dia’s preferences and Dia is quick to admire her long blonde hair, like doll’s
hair, left free to fall past her shoulders. She’s tall, but not imposingly so,
and Dia guesses she’s probably a few years older than she is. “Are you having a
good time?” Dia hopes she isn’t slurring or at the very least that this is
actually going as smoothly as she thinks it is.
Happy Birthday Robert Donat 18th March 1905 - 9th June 1958
Mr Donat is the best film actor - at any rate in star parts - we possess: he is convincing, his voice has a pleasant roughness, and his range is far greater than that of his chief rival for film honours, Mr Laurence Olivier. Mr Donat is sensible, authentic, slow; emotion when it comes has the effect of surprise, like plebian poetry.
