Faint red bands in the right half of the frame may be very near to us. Data were taken with the same optics and DSLR during December 30-31, 2015 and October 7, 2010. I’ve elevated the contrast around limit, and I’m afraid that some may feel this too much. equipment: Takahashi FSQ-106ED, Reducer QE 0.73x, and Canon EOS 5Dmk2-sp2, modified by Seo san on Takahashi EM-200 Temma 2 Jr, autoguided with hiro-design off-axis guider, Starlightxpress Lodestar Autoguider, and PHD Guiding exposure: 13 times x 30 minutes, 9 x 15 min, 12 x 4 min, 14 x 1 minute, and 5 times x 15 seconds at ISO 1,600 and f/3.6 site: 11,000 feet above sea level near Mauna Loa Observatory in Hawaii
