doing these one line drawings where you can’t lift your pen off the page are so fun because even if they look terrible you can just tell yourself that it’s the style // thanks ms paint for always being my 5 minute study break
Once upon a time I did body studies of the girls of Mineral Town and Forget Me Not Valley, so I figured I kind of had to do Pelican Town too. Kind of an amalgamation of their overworld/dialogue box sprites, but definitely took some creative liberties here and there #justiceforabbysbow
More body type studies, this time with the girls of Forget Me Not Valley (Flora and Lumina inclusive because HMDS was 150+ hours of my life more than AWL). I am more attracted to Flora than anything else I’ve ever drawn. 5 days!
Anon, I hope you don’t mind me posting this, but I drew this especially for you. It really got to me because I’ve been there too.
Becoming aware of my tendency to draw one or two variations of often unrealistic, socially accepted ideas of beauty was eye opening, not just as an illustrator, but as a.. person with a body? Haha! It forced me to look at bodies differently, including my own, and drawing them all gives me an appreciation for every one of them.
Chubby girls are gorgeous and fit into hugs like marshmallows melting into coco and I LOVE THEM I LOVE BEING CURVY I LOVE POPURI and she will always be frosted cupcake of chubby bouncy adorable to me!
19 days to go till Story of Seasons in Australia! So, I’ve drawn a lot of ladies in my not-quite every day harvest moon themed drawings, but no guys so far, so here are my all time favourite bachelors, Cam (ToTT) and Skye (DS Cute).
Shootie in Cheery Royal, and Iris in Lilac Heart for @featherfleece, for the palette meme. I did both because they’re a sweet heart <3 Also I felt like I cheated on Iris because I blended and used low opacity brushes on the background, so I had to do two. Shootie took an embarrassing photo of Serperior, maybe? Blushing bourgeois smug snake.
I am late on this month’s challenge again. But it’s because I had to go off to Melbourne last weekend because work paid for me to get copic certified! It’s been a dream of mine for a few years now, and I was really lucky to get sent over as a priority, because I’m a craft store/industry educator.
Speaking of copics, I am super close to 300 followers and I think that’ll be a nice time to do a giveaway I’ve been planning for a long while! More news on that closer to the benchmark.
I’m still going to try and finish this month’s challenge, and even if I don’t, I’m still yet to pick what NEXT month’s challenge will be. Even if I don’t succeed with any challenge this year, it’s still getting me to draw more so I’m conflicted as to whether to be happy with myself or disappointed. I’m choosing to pick happy, it’s just easier, ok? ANYWAY, for now: I’m trying to teach myself to use prismacolor pencils. First attempt, second attempt. Common things I draw, apparently: Sailor Moon’s butt, stoned ladies.
Meet images 1 - 3 of my 50 in February challenge! This is just something dumb and hopefully self explanatory that I did for my work place’s blog.
I was going to start 2014 with a NaNoWriMoesque “pictures are worth a thousand words, so 50k words in a month = 50 pictures in a month?” challenge, but in early January I got engaged and employed and ain’t no body got time fo dat, so here we are, in February, and hopefully by March I’ll have 50 images to show for it. Suggestions for themes welcome!
