  • yall: why doesn't taylor swift speak up more about feminism #fakebitch
  • taylor swift: *speaks up about the women's marches*
  • yall: how dare she this is not her place i personally have been victimized

anonymous asked:

you do realise that if taylor went to any of the marches there would have been a stampede right? she has police cars on stand in la when shes there plus her own security cos her presence causes so much chaos. what makes you think shed be able to go to something like this? this isnt meant to be an angry message im just curious as to why you think she could attend something like this without jeopardising herself?

so you’re telling me people like fucking Cher and Madonna and whoopi and all these other equally famous women can go without any issues and walk among their fellow women but Taylor Swift can’t? Because everyone thinks everything’s constantly about Taylor but you didn’t see anyone chasing down Cher and shit? Y'all using Taylor Swift as a “major celebrity who can’t go anywhere” is getting so old. Taylor CAN go places and events like this she just DOESN’T. If Taylor came out in public for once and rallied for everything she’s been running her mouth in interviews about since 2014, she could do these things people WILL adjust and it’s also sad that none of you think that her walking or even ATTENDING would’ve made a huge difference. It’s even more sad that you think that something so vast and so empowering among women every age, size and gender all over the country and the world who came together and fought and protest, that suddenly all that attention would change because Taylor showed up? I think the fuck not. Because it didn’t happen to any other major celeb that was there. Yesterday wasn’t about the status of anyone’s fame or who came to support each other. It was about fucking powerful, badass women across this beautiful world to fight for our rights and Taylor Swift can only fight for hers when Apple Music doesn’t want to pay their already million dollar net worth artist for three free months of streaming. Pathetic. As if Taylor doesn’t make 5 cents per second for simply fucking breathing. This is getting ridiculous with y'all. Unbelievable. You will all stan her right till the very end, huh? And god forbid any of her other fans be upset with her for talking up her feminist game from here to satans ass and back, but not do shit about it. A tweet isn’t the answer to a real, crucial issue. So there’s your answer, YES. I do think Taylor could’ve gone and you’re not going to change my mind at all. I’m not a child nor an idiot, I’ve been a Taylor Swift fan since 2006, I’ve been on board with all of her other dumb shit and antics and I refuse to not call out an artist when they’re being ridiculous.

Just so fucking sad to me that you actually think an empowering event, movement, would all be taken away because Taylor Swift showed up. So sad, tragic tbh.

Chapter Fourteen

“Girlfriend…” The entire family said in unison. Most were in shock, Jack, on the other hand was infuriated. He shoved his plate across the table causing it to nearly fall off the other side and shatter, if it weren’t for Li’s swift reaction it would have. Although Li managed to save the plate, the food was thrown off and landed directly on Peter’s high chair and consequently all over Peter himself. Peter began to cry and Emma shrieked. Louie started to get up and remove his child from the room until his dad shot him a look which made him stop dead in his tracks. He returned to his seat and all of the Blake children sat in shock, terrified to move a muscle. Ashlynn had seen enough of it when she cleared her throat, causing everyone to look her way.

“Marley, please give Peter a bath and get him ready for bed. Louie, take Emma to your room and see if you can calm her down. Liam, go take the last shift at the coffee shop tell Lexie she can have the rest of the night off, you can handle it. Ayana, go brush your teeth and put your PJ’s on, you can play with your dolls for a little longer before bed.” All the children left as they were given the orders by their mother, leaving only Ashlynn, Jack, and Logan still at the table. Ashlynn looked at Logan, whose eyes were filled with dread. “Jack, I need you to calm down. You need to talk to your son and you need to remember that even though he and Louie look alike they are not the same person. You cannot be mad at Logan for the choices his brother makes.

Jack looked up at Logan with a look of pure disgust before opening his mouth to speak. “Ashlynn, don’t act like this one is innocent. You and I both know he’s always been the problem child. For every good thing Louie’s done, Logan has done bad. Louie has never been arrested. Louie’s never gotten expelled. Louie’s never been caught smoking marijuana.”

Ashlynn was flustered as she jumped to her son’s defense. “Yeah? Well Logan has never snuck out of the house to attend a college party and gotten an older woman pregnant, Logan’s never had sex AT ALL. Louie has 10 times, Jack. TEN. Louie has made his share of mistakes. We do not have a ‘problem child’ we have six children who have all had their share of problems, no one is perfect. Stop singling Logan out!”

Jack got up abruptly and stormed off. Logan was so hurt by his father’s reaction that didn’t even look up until the front door slammed. Logan sat there lost in his thoughts until his mother placed her hand on his shoulder.

“Hey sweetheart, would you please tell me about your girlfriend Luna?”

Logan looked up at his mom trying to push back tears. He gave her a light smile, “Oona” he corrected her.

“Oh, yes. Oona. Can you tell me about her?”

“She’s an amazing person, mom. I really like her. You might actually know her, she apparently has come to the coffee shop quite regularly.” Logan pulled out his phone to show his mother his lock screen- the picture of him and Oona that Bryce took the day they finished the tiny house.

Ashlynn smile. “Yes, I recognize her, she’s a regular. She is very friendly, and every time she walks into the shop she is wearing a huge smile that lights up the room! I’ve always liked her very well, she was one of the first customers on opening day!”

Logan’s face lit up. It meant a lot to him that his mother loved the girl he was dating and that she had clearly seen the soul of an angel that thrives in Oona.

“Why don’t you bring her around sometime and let the rest of the family meet her?” Ashlynn said with a grin.

“Are you kidding me? After that reaction from just mentioning her? Mom, she has her lip pierced, dad is gonna hate her. He not like you, he isn’t ever gonna accept her. I can’t bring her somewhere that’s gonna try to crush her soul. I could never put her in a situation like that!”

“Your father won’t be to thrilled about the lip ring, but he will come around to her. She is a sweet girl, very polite and respectful. He is upset at your brother, not you. He will come to realize that his anger toward you was misplaced soon enough, and he will not make her feel uncomfortable, I won’t allow it.”

I can’t believe that after a day as historical as today my dash is now getting filled with ‘white women only went to the protest because of their pussies’ and ‘Taylor Swift shouldn’t use the word feminist because she didn’t march’ and ‘Men shouldn’t have been at the march, it wasn’t for them.’ Today wasn’t about just women, women of color, women of the LGBT community, immigrants or any one group at all. It was about the people standing up and saying we will not allow our government to silence us! White women were fighting for education, immigration, justice, police brutality, black lives matter and everything else just the same as every other person was out there. The color of their skin has nothing to do with what they are feeling, how they express it and how brave they were for being there. Men were out there because they support their mothers, sisters, daughters, spouses and our country to be better. Do not try and belittle anyone for today, you are destroying the cause.

anonymous asked:

When has Taylor Swift ever used feminism to sell her records thought? Like, not only did she not even identify as a feminist through out her four first eras but in the fifth one, she simply stated that she was one (after the album was out) and in interviews, interviewers would ask questions revolved around her experiences with sexism and she would answer them (Not attacking you, just the people who twist info in order for it to fit in their '' t.swift is a fake white feminist narrative''

i know you’re not attacking me because this is exactly my opinion. she was asked about it when 1989 came out because that’s the question literally every female on earth was being asked at the time “are you a feminist”. and also when does she ever give interviews outside of promo in order for people to ask her those kind of questions? the whole thing is just dumb.

if i catch y’all reblogging that dumbass “taylor swift doesn’t care about women” post i’m just blocking. you you can consider our friendship over at that point. if you can’t show up for women who have been abused and assaulted and demand they cater to you, we cannot be friends

Monday 8:27am
I woke up with you on my mind.
You called me babe last night —
my heart is still pounding.

Tuesday 10:53pm
Today I realized we won’t work.
What we are is hurting her.
And I think she matters more to me than you do.

Wednesday 11:52pm
I broke things off with you today.
She barely said a word.
I’ve never regretted anything more than this.

Thursday 4:03pm
I shouldn’t have sent that message.
You shouldn’t have been so okay with receiving it.

Friday 9:57pm
I almost messaged you today.
I didn’t.

Saturday 8:49pm
I’m walking around town in search of alcohol.
They say that liquor numbs the pain of having a broken heart.
I want to put that to the test.

Sunday 2:32am
I heard you texted a girl you’ve never spoken to before.
I wonder if it’s because you’re trying to replace me.
I can’t help but wish you weren’t.
I thought I was irreplaceable.
