Ahead of the Curve ~ November 2014

Fat Fall Collection

This month our blogging theme for AotC was to capture the feeling of fall.  Honestly, I’ve been feeling fall way too much to only use one look for this.  I’m totally obsessed with everything autumn - which I try to capture in my outfits during the season.  Here are a few samples of some of my favorite ootds so far for this fall -

Fatshion February Day 10 ~ Ahead of the Curve bloggers post for February!

’(Self) Love & Lace’
It’s been a little while since I’ve participated in the Ahead of the Curve blogging theme for the month, but I was so glad to jump back on board again!  The theme for this month was love and lace.  After all, February is the month of love and what’s more romantic and lovely then a little bit (or lot a bit) of lace?  The girls had the brilliant idea to add some signs this month that would include positive affirmations and encouraging words.  I ran with the idea of self love..because while romantic love is wonderful itself, self love is not nearly celebrated as much as it should be.  This blog is all about encouraging everyone and anyone to like themselves - no conditions required and so I thought it was quite appropriate.  I truly do <3 this fat body o’ mine.

Dots Vs Gingham Vs Dots?

So this month’s Ahead of the Curve theme was Gingham and Polka Dots.  Initially, I had no idea what I was going to end up doing..but obviously, I made several looks surrounding around said theme.  Polka dots have always been one of my fashion obsessions, so it was quite literally impossible for me to only make one outfit including them!  Hell, even the outfit that was supposed to be dedicated to gingham ended up including dem spots. :p  Gingham on the other hand..was a bit more of a challenge.  However, by the end of it I had acquired many checkered articles of clothing and it may have ignited a fashion flame I didn’t know I had.  I’m quite enamored with the pattern now and I’m looking forward to incorporating some of it into more of my future outfits.  Here are just a few I picked out to go by the theme, though!
