surveys

hey hermitblr and other mcytblr subsections, new survey just dropped

have you ever wondered what the mcyt fandom's general consensus is on the many many strange noises that their streamers make? or is that just me? either way, here's your latest dose of useless surveys, statistics, and tierlists: which mcyts and mcyt adjacents are the most Noise? definition of Noise is based exclusively on your own interpretation.

yes, this includes every mcyt i could think of up to the point where my keyboard started literally breaking and i could not put myself through adding more, but rest assured almost every question is optional and there are writeins at the end if i missed your Guy

hey you! are you a super cool person? are you disabled? are you using a mobility aid (full time/part time/whatever), or do you need a mobility aid? if you answered yes to that last question then boy howdy do i have a survey for you!

a friend of mine is doing a survey for a project at their university! it's examining willingness to use a mobility aid and whether or not that has a relationship to someone's gender! it's a quick survey, any and all genders welcome and wanted!

please fill this out and/or spread it around! they need as big a sample size as possible

much love <3 drink some water

this survey is now closed, thank y'all so much for your contributions!

What colour do you associate with each type of attraction?

I was thinking about how the colour of my colourgender changes based on what kind of attraction I experience and it got me wondering what colours other people associate with type of attraction.

For the sake of brevity these are the ones I'm going to focus on but there is a second section for lesser-known kinds of attraction!

  • Romantic
  • Sexual
  • Platonic
  • Queerplatonic
  • Alterous
  • Aesthetic
  • Sensual

You can view the results after you've completed the form. Alternatively, the results will be published on 21st Nov for those who haven't done it.

I look forward to seeing the results!

Hey, everyone! Last time I posted a survey I needed help with for class, but this time, my classmates also need a little help getting responses. We each need close to 400 responses, and the only way I managed it was the kindness of people on Tumblr.

Below are listed a bunch of anonymous surveys. Almost all of the questions are multiple choice, checklists, or really short answers, so they should be quick to get through. If you're 18 or older, please answer any surveys that may apply to/are interesting to you and reblog this post to help them get the word out. Even if you're not old enough to take these surveys, please reblog them!

Okay so money is difficult but I have some recommendations to help you earn a little more cash

I always got ads for those play games to earn money, but I never thought they were legit. Well turns out some of them are, and not all of them are about playing games. So here's my list of quality apps.

Surveys:

-QuickThoughts ~I made $130 in a week on this one before I got kicked off for "my answers not being thoughtful enough", but I also have my mom using this one and she's been using it for about two weeks and it's been all good. Some of the surveys take a while to complete, and you're not going to be eligible for every survey, but if you keep trying you'll make money. The biggest issue is the three day confirmation period before you can get your gift cards, and that Apple Music and Amazon are the only gift cards available. Otherwise than that, it's a wonderful way to make money fast.

-Vetri ~this app is also pretty good. Has a variety of gift cards you can choose from. It takes a long time to complete some of the surveys though and you don't get all that much for they surveys.

-Survey Junkie ~This one takes a while to get a reward due to low pay per survey and is a little glitchy. The surveys don't take as long though.

Pay for Games:

-JustPlay ~This is the best one I've found. I get about $1.50 a day.

Pay for Shopping:

-Fetch Rewards ~I just got this one last week. It seems legit to me. You just scan all the receipts you get, and you can also count your online receipts. However, you can only scan 35 receipts during a time period (not sure what that time period is).

-Receipt Hog ~You scan receipts and earn coins. When you earn enough coins, you can get a gift card. You can also do surveys on this app.

-OneScanner ~You scan everything with a bar code on it to earn points which you can redeem for a gift card. I made 75 points yesterday before it stopped accepting my points.

Miscellaneous:

-Mode Earn App ~I have yet to earn a gift card from this one. I don't use it all that often though. I'm pretty sure you can play games and do surveys on this one, but I like to earn my points by just playing one of the radio stations. You also get points for charging your phone and a lock screen bonus.

-Daily Winr ~I haven't won a gift card on this one yet so I don't know if it's legit. It's pretty easy to use though. Just scratch cards.

Feel free to add on with any other apps you use to make money

Surveys Have Been Sent Out!

Surveys have started going out through Backerkit! A small number of you will be getting the survey first, so no worries if yours doesn't show up for a few days.

I know many of you are busy right now as it is the middle of the Holiday Season. Also, I know many of you were interested in picking up the Date Night DLC or other add-ons but might want to wait until after the holidays to purchase.

The deadline for the survey is January 31st, 2022. Hopefully, that will give everyone time to fill it out and add-on any extras. All of the add-ons from the Kickstarter are available again. I'll charge everyone who made a purchase through Backerkit beginning of February.

Available Add-ons Through Backerkit:

1. Digital Copy of Twin Coves: grab an extra copy or one for a friend!

2. Walkthrough: take the guessing out of the game and get exactly the ending you want! Perfect for those who want to unlock every route and every ending!

3. Annotated Map of Twin Coves: a map of the town with important locations marked along with historical info and fun facts! Maybe even a few hints...

4. Twin Coves Artbook: A collection of exclusive character art, concept art, sketches, and more!

5. The Twin Coves Lore Book: Everything you've ever wanted to know about the world of Twin Coves. Plus, it's illustrated!

6. Early Access! Play the beta version of the game and provide valuable feedback!

7. Kickstarter Art Print Collection: Like the promo art from the Kickstarter? Get the collection and use the digital prints as wallpapers on your phone or desktop!

8. Trouble in Paradise DLC: Grab an extra copy of the epilogue DLC! Every backer at the $20 tier gets one free, but maybe you'd like to grab one for a friend or just support the creation of the DLC.

9. Date Night DLC: Support the creation of the Date Night DLC by grabbing a copy today! Backers at the $55 tier and up get this DLC for free too, just as a reminder.

10. Tip Jar: Backerkit includes a tip jar too for anyone who would like to donate a little more towards the creation of the game.

Any extra funds raised will be going to the DLCs' development and making Twin Coves even better. (We were so close to $50,000! Less than $5,000 away! Maybe we can hit that final stretch goal 👀?)

After you complete your survey, you'll be able to download your desktop wallpaper, phone wallpaper and Rook & Wren digital art print rewards!

Thank you, everyone!

RESEARCH PROJECT ON WITCHCRAFT

Hello! I'm doing an EPQ - a research project - on beliefs in and attitudes towards witchcraft in Britian. It would mean the world to me if anyone who sees this could fill out my survey and share it with others. Thank you so much!

Hey everyone, just wanted to give you an update on this informal study into making friends with Rime! Starting with the sentiment of oh my god, I have so much love for each and every one of you. I’ve never been in a fandom before that got so excited about & engaged in this kind of project – the response rate is so much higher than I expected, I’ve even had people who’ve done multiple playthroughs and recorded multiple sets of choices for comparison, everyone who answered the optional free-response questions has been so insightful and lovely (and funny! I’ve cracked up multiple times reading the free responses!), basically the entire experience has been awesome. If you’ve filled out the survey, thanks so so much, you’ve literally made my week ☺️💕

Re results – we currently have 77 responses to the survey (😮!). It’s still getting a steady trickle of answers, so I won’t be closing it until at least the end of this week, i.e. Sunday 13th February. My dream is that we’ll get a total of 100 responses by that time, but even if we don’t, I think we still have enough data to give us some good results. I’m currently aiming to release results by early March at the latest. If there are any changes to this plan, will definitely let you know, but until then – thanks again, love you all, and lmk if you uncover any more info about our favourite elusive deer-man 😉

There are so many things I’ve wanted to know regarding just how different (or not different) aspecs and allos are from each other, and I know I can’t be the only one wondering such things. So I made a survey open for everyone to take! Whether you’re acespec, arospec, or allo. I need responses from ALL in order for the results to be any good. Anyone can take this, and even if you don’t, reblogging or boosting this survey is much appreciated!

(I’ll probably post results once I get a satisfactory amount of responses. I feel like some of this could end up being valuable to aspec communities!)

EDIT: THIS SURVEY IS NOW CLOSED THANK YOU EVERYONE WHO PARTICIPATED! 😊

hello f1blr 👋

i'd like to ask for your help regarding my uni thesis. i'm sociology major and am writing a paper about gender inequality within motorsports with special interesting in f1 and other single seater categories.

while there are a few researches about the driver side (which mine also greatly focuses on) or the marketing and fan perspective of motorsport, i'd like to present a boarder picture by analysing these topics through the lenses of the feminist theory. however i can hardly find reliable and fresh information about the f1 broadcasting teams in each country, which is something i also want to talk about, and that's where your help comes in.

i made a short questionnaire to gather data and i'd be forever grateful if you guys could fill it out and reblog it. if you have any questions, feel free to message me.

thank you guys in advance and have a lovely, safe, exciting 2022 season! 🏁

A Sanders Sides survery!!

Hi guys! my tablet is still in the repair shop and to distract myself I created this survey!

You probably have thought about it before too, but AS IT TURNS OUT my rank is not the same as other peoples' so, here it is! you can see the results of the survey so far at the end.

Help me share it so that we can see what everybody thinks :D!

Hello, fellow Last Legacy fans! To cut a long story short, Chapter 13 of Felix’s route has really consumed my brain recently, especially because of all the hints it gives as to how your MC’s relationship with Rime is going. And I know there have been a bunch of posts already about choices that might or might not make Rime like you, but – I thought it would be helpful to actually put out a survey about those choices, to get as much data as we can? I’ve attached the link below, it takes <5 mins to complete and is very easy (you don’t have to remember everything that happened in your playthrough to complete it, all the questions have a ‘Don’t remember’ option just in case). If you can, responses and reblogs will be very VERY much appreciated!!! Results will be posted on this blog as soon as I have enough data for them, so watch this space. (And if you’d like to be tagged in results, please lmk in the survey, there’s a special question just for that ☺️).

Thanks so much again, everyone, and can’t wait to decode the mystery of Rime with y’all 💕

Hello everyone and welcome back to Hermitblr's weekly survey :]

You guys probably remember the "Hermits taking care of a child" survey, but I thought that didn't go into deep enough detail, so I decided to make one with more information on it!

We are going into this knowing full well that any teenager that the Hermits are going to interact with is going to be traumatized.

I introduce to you: Hermits taking care of children of varying ages

Please only answer for Hermits that you know! It makes things easier in the end :]

Advice...

If you're taking surveys to make money... LIE.

If it isn't about something you specifically participate in, lie through your teeth. I've done so many surveys about my fav alcoholic beverages because I know a lot even if I don't drink. I did a survey about a popular 30+ y/o game I don't participate in, possibly getting an online version. I knew enough about it to bullshit my way through it and chose things I saw stans of it talk about. As a result, I keep getting alcohol and video game surveys in my slots.

Lying gets you places faster. I'm good at bullshitting and making small topics seem larger. I can turn a 100 word prompt into 1K words if I need to.

I noticed early on that I'd lose eligibility if I was honest. So I stopped being honest.

If the test offers multiple options other than just White/Female | Male/Gay | Straight, just lie and say White, Male, and Straight. Literally, me telling the truth of being Pansexual Genderqueer Black/Caucasian fucked me over immediately every time, and I'd get only 2-3 pts for attempting to participate.

It's bullshit that this is necessary but you can at least take advantage of it.

Thrawn Fans Survey Results!

Here’s the big take-aways from the Thrawn fans survey I ran! I had 117 responses total, but not everyone answered every question (although most people did!). Survey takers came from twitter and tumblr. Sorry there’s a lot here, I’ll try to highlight the bits I thought were interesting! As alway when looking at stats, remember correlation doesn’t apply causation, all that jazz!

EDIT: this looks terrible on the dash, check my blog for better formatting if you want an easier to read version!

  • First, and maybe most importantly, everybody likes Thrawn
  • Here’s what the people who were surveyed have read (there is some crossover here, so that is why they add up to more than 100%):
  • 15% of people surveyed not read any books and only know Thrawn from Rebels
  • 14% have only read the canon trilogy
  • 21% have read all the canon books, but no legends
  • 48% have read one or more of the legends books
  • 9% have read all the books
  • 14% have read legends, but not any canon books.
  • Heir to the Empire is the most popular legends book, followed by Outbound Flight.
  • 97% of people who know who Eli Vanto is like him. Don’t worry, I am tracking down those 3% who said they didn’t and they will be dealt with (kidding, it really was anonymous).
  • Chiss opinions:
  • 93% of people who had only seen rebels thought the Chiss were “rad as hell”. People who had read the books were less likely to say they were rad as hell, but that was still one of the most popular answer choices.
  • If a person read the Ascendancy books or any of the Legends books, the likelihood they wanted a relationship with the Chiss doubled. Those who read the Ascendancy books or Legends were also more likely to say the Chiss are attractive (of course the inverse might actually be true, Chiss fuckers might be more likely to read more of the books)
  • 83% of people who are questioning their gender said they wish they were Chiss (a percentage that is nearly 3x higher than people who weren’t questioning their gender)
  • 25% of people said they would dye their skin blue if possible (are y’all okay)
  • Those with Chiss OCs were twice as likely to have read Legends
  • A few people reported issues with the ways Chiss society was run, but no one outright said they hate the Chiss.
  • 28% of Thrawn fans surveyed said that Thrawn is their favorite Star Wars character. Ahsoka Tano, Obi Wan Kenobi, and Eli Vanto tied for second place with 12% of people saying each was their favorite character.
  • Eli is incredibly popular among non-binary people, and nearly ⅓ of people who identified as non-binary reported Eli to be their favorite character.
  • 39% of Thrawn fans who know who Marchion Ro said their opinion of him was either “I love him” or “He is evil and I love him”. 19% said they like him as a character but not as a person, and 28% said they were neutral on him.
  • 11% of Thrawn fans are Starset fans (85% did not know what Starset is).
  • 84% of Thrawn fans have positive opinions on birds, with 34% enthusiastically saying they love birds and 50% saying birds were cool.
  • Most people who answered that they love birds had only seen Rebels or read the canon trilogy, and y’all really need to get on the Ascendancy series!!! Lots of bird content in Greater Good!
  • 39% of Thrawn fans do art and 58% write.
  • Those who had read some of the canon books were 30% more likely to be artists than those who had only watched rebels or read legends.
  • However, the opposite was true for writers. Those who had only watched Rebels were almost twice as likely to say they were a writer than those who had consumed other Thrawn content.
  • On a personal note, I am blowing platonic kisses to the people who said their favorite bands were Glass Animals, Lord Huron, Regina Spektor, or The Oh Hellos.
  • Bisexuality was the most common sexuality reported by those surveyed, and asexuality was the second most common sexuality with 17% of people reporting they were asexual (which is interesting considering most studies show only 1% of the population is asexual!) 13% of people also reported being aromantic.
  • 56% of people reported being neurodivergent. 21% were undiagnosed or unsure if they were neurodivergent or not.
  • 21% reported being specifically autistic
  • I will try to find a better way to ask the race/ethnicity question next time! I used the format the United States Census uses, and realized too late some things about the way the question was asked might be confusing to those from outside the US.
  • With that said, 95% reported being white and 10% said they were Hispanic/Latino.
  • The majority of people surveyed identified as female or non-binary.
  • 15% of people surveyed identified as trans

If anyone has any questions or wants me to run the data in a different way let me know!

survey closed!

Hey all! I am seeking English speakers to complete an experiment about reading and writing English pronouns.

You'll receive a $10 Amazon.com gift card in exchange for completing the task (I know, not ideal, sorry, it's what the funding arrangement lets me use).

It takes about 20 minutes or so to complete. You'll do a reading task first, then a writing task. Then there will be a few questions about your demographic information. The reading task will need to be completed on a device with a physical keyboard, because you'll have to click the space bar for certain parts.

Signal boosts are appreciated! Thank you so much in advance!
