surprisingly this story is not about me

why you should watch twisted: the untold story of a royal vizier

  • it’s a musical
  • it’s by the same people who did a very potter musical, so you know it’s good
  • it’s available for free on youtube, and the soundtrack isn’t very expensive, either
  • it gives the wicked treatment to jafar from aladdin
  • (or ja’far, to get around copyright issues)
  • (actually a lot of the ways they get around copyright in this show are really funny)
  • “and may the rats ejaculate upon you”
  • the titular song literally gave me chills
  • “why is everyone in the kingdom white????”
  • really really good costuming and sets
  • TIGER FUCKER TIGER FUCKER TIGER FUCKER
  • there’s a song called “orphaned at 33″ and it’s fucking hilarious
  • the guy who plays aladdin is amazingly charming yet punchable at the same time
  • DYLAN SAUNDERS
  • poking fun at a lot of disney’s urban legends
  • the bad guys are from the kingdom Pik-zhar
  • “what’s that name, everyone?” “TIGER FUCKER!” “no!”
  • a genuinely touching and compelling love story told over the course of one song
  • a subplot that manages to make a surprisingly well-put point about consent and sex =/= love
  • “all this for a loaf of bread” (just wait until you hear it….)
  • PRINCE ACHMED
  • “I noticed you weren’t at dinner, but I saw you try to poison my wine! Usually when you do that it means you want to talk, so what’s up, are you mad at me?”
  • please just watch it because in my opinion it deserves just as much attention as a very potter musical

This is my all-time favourite series - you should be downloading it right now… unless you’ve already heard it in which case you should definitely treat yourself and listen to it again.

Informational

  • Dan Carlin’s Hardcore History - As the title implies, this is really hardcore history. Episodes are exceedingly well-researched and is surprisingly easy to listen to considering the density of the subject matter.
  • Lore - A podcast examining myths and folktales alongside the true dark stories that either inspired or arose from them. A chilling listen that also has a TV show in the works.
  • Myths and Legends - Re-tellings of both popular and obscure legends that make them very accessible to a modern audience (i.e. people like me who DON’T read Beowulf in it’s original Old English for fun in their free time).
  • Sleep With Me* - Honestly, I have no idea what this podcast is actually about because Ackerman’s ramblings are so soothing I’m usually asleep shortly after turning it on. If you have insomnia and problems falling asleep to silence (like myself), this is a must-download - it’s more engaging that rain/wave/whale noises but you don’t have to worry about missing anything.

Literature

  • Escape Pod - Every episode consists of a sci-fi short story from a variety of sub-genres, and they are generally 30-60 minutes in length. If you enjoy Escape Pod, also check out their fantasy (PodCastle) and horror (PseudoPod) podcasts.
  • The NoSleep Podcast - Narrations of short horror stories posted to the NoSleep reddit board. It’s featured horror stories for every squick and trigger imaginable so be careful with this one if you aren’t into hardcore horror, and definitely heed the warnings at the beginnings of episodes.

True Crime

  • Serial - I don’t think it’s possible to be a podcast fan and not have (at the very least) heard about Serial. If you haven’t listened to it yet, definitely give it a go - there’s a reason it was at the top of the (Canadian) iTunes store for close to a year. It’s produced by ‘This American Life’, which is another professionally-produced podcast worthy of downloading.
  • Someone Knows Something - A series produced by CBC that examines unsolved cases of missing or murdered individuals.
  • Thin Air Podcast - Two English majors investigate cold cases by examining evidence and interviewing people involved with the original investigation.

Pending - I either haven’t started these or haven’t listened to enough to categorize them, but most have been rec’d by multiple sources so check them out!

  • A New Winter - A first-hand account of the unsolved murders and disappearances of 25 people in a small UK village.

Beach Bums

Another Thematic Thursday submission which is ‘Teenage years’! As part of my Surftopia 86 AU, we have teenager Judy meeting up with teenager Nick at his mom’s surf shop in Sahara Square after he helps put out the boards for the morning. But before they can go and enjoy the weekend of sun and surf, Nick’s mom’s assistant, Yax, regales the two with stories about how the 60′s were a golden age for surfing. Surprisingly, Nick and Judy are unimpressed.

This pic makes the leap from purely hard shadows to including soft gradients to give it a level of depth that surprises me! If you look at their eyes, you can see the light slowly fade to shadow like a round thing would in actual lighting! I’m gonna be trying to incorporate more gradients to give added depth to my lighting.

I also wanted to put out the first chapter of Surftopia 86 but got sidelined with stuff and I haven’t figured out a good story pic to go with it so expect that soon-ish!

RPG Maker Fever Undead and Deranged

Warning:This article may contain spoilers and the content inappropriate for children…or may not contain. But get the children away from the screen just in case.

Good morning! Or is it already evening? Meh, as if it matters…cellar, where I’m chained and writing my articles  is pitch-dark 24 hours per day. So, today we’ll learn how to make friends, control the undead and have a happy dream ( with some experimental drugs involved). Now then, shall we get started?

1. 1bitHeart

Alright, here goes our first title, made by the author of Alice Mare and LiEat series. 1bitHeart is an adventure game, where your goal is to make as many friends as possible . Game plays similar to Ace Attorney series, but with some QTE-scenes, while setting and atmosphere is kinda similar to TWEWY.You can make 49 friends in total, all of them have unique appearance and personality. Plot of the game is pretty good, dialogues are well-written and sometimes hilarious. Besides, every dialogue has it’s own mood supported by stylish well-chosen music track and quality voice acting. Additionaly I want to praise 1bitHeart’s presentation, since  both artwork and sprites are extremely beautiful .

2. The Boogie Man

And here comes the Boogeyman, the Boogeyman comes for me. Here comes the Boogyeman, he’s gonna take me in my sleep…Nah, actually not. Here comes the latest installement in our favourite  the Strange Men Series. This time with the fully voiced in-game cutscenes (and skippable as bonus). The Boogie Man stays true to series and plays like classical horror-adventure with action cut-ins. At some point of the game you can even play as our old friends -David and Sophie, but new protagonist Keith is quite notable too (he’s my personal fav to be honest).Overall the game makes very good impression, the story is interesting and dialogues are bright and entertaining (with many references to previous games).

3.  END ROLL

I’m not the sensitive type, but  even I was kinda hesitant to play this game at first, since it has waaay too many suggestive content, supported by quite a lot of graphic violence. But after beating it I can state that this game is totally drugtastic. END ROLL plays like quality role-playing game and somewhat reminds the wild mix of the Gray Garden and Re:Kinder, but with better story-writing and gameplay I believe. Game has plenty of  unique dungeons (all of them has some plot-related meaning behind it) as well as tons of optional content, which along with well-designed and interesting characters make END ROLL very enjoyable.

4. Guuzen ~ Ningyou no ito

What? Don’t tell me you’ve never heard about the rite named “doll’s prayer” .You’ll forget all of your worries and  path to the Heaven will open before you. But the place, our heroines’ve found themselves in, can be hardly called Heaven. I wasn’t expecting much from this game, but it turned to be quality horror with beautiful character designs, memorable soundtrack, logical puzzles and surprisingly mature story. The game reminds us that we’re often starting to value something only when it’s already lost.Sadly, right now  Ningyou no ito is only available in chinese, japanese and russian.

5. Liar Jeannie in Crucifix Kingdom

Yet another full-fledged role-playing game has made it to my list. And kinda tough, I must say. Imagine what if Dark Souls was the turn-based RPG with cute nun as protagonist and you’ll get Liar Jeannie… more or less.Unlike many RPGs, this one doesn’t  have any levels, and your stats and basic skills fully depend on your current equipment (by the way, every item in this game can be equipped). A special mention is deserved for game’s bosses - there’s a few main bosses and a lot of optional ones -all of them have their own battle tactics and require some thinking before acting ( especially Pleiades Knights-you want to defeat them, trust me). Also, if things during the fight will become real ugly, you can always summon expendable monsters as your allies (or living shields, heh).

6. At the Tale End

Here we have a game, which looks like a regular fantasy-adventure, but only at first. Plot includes our standard party of heroes (fighter, mage, priest and thief), cursed princess and battle with the local dark lord. But each of these elements plays very different from your typical fantasy stories. At the Tale’s End is definetely a unique experience, a role-playing game in it’s original meaning, without countless random battles, but with a certain weight of responsibility for your actions within a narrative. Also this game has detailed and interesting world as well as quality animated cut-scenes.

7. Pocket Mirror

A long-awaited Pocket Mirror has been finally released this year. And I’m amazed with  enormous amount of work made by the  team of developers. When it comes to game’s graphic, Pocket Mirror is stunning. Beautiful artwork and memorable soundtrack help to create this mysterious, unique atmosphere of dark fairy tale. And with that Pocket Mirror has some gameplay issues. You see, while some puzzles are interesting, most of them is quite uninspiring, some of the locations are pitch-dark and hard to navigate. And with that plot of the game is quite complicated, but doesn’t make much sense,if you don’t pay close attention to numerous in-game notes and letters. This game is definetely not bad,but still leaves some feeling of unpolishness.

8. The Maid of Fairewell Heights

Despite the fact that story of the Maid takes place at the haunted apartment complex, this game has no horror elements. Maid feels more like comedy anime straight from ‘90s. Gameplay (along with main character’s outfits) varies depending on the room your’re currently exploring. Starting with regular cleaning you can end up playing detective or running the shop. Game has bright illustrations, good humour and overall is pretty good.

9. Libretta

I’m sure everyone knows that beside translating games vgperson also makes their own, and Libretta is one of them..This game  definetely gives an interesting experience. While playing similar to Ib, Libretta has it’s own unique atmosphere and somewhat complicated plot, where everyone can find something for themselves (or so I think). Libretta has memorable soundtrack and interesting puzzles, requiring some thinking from the player Also playing shirigories between chapters is kinda fun.

10. Imaginary Friends

Imaginary Friends is a classical rpg-horror-game with quality visuals, well-thought puzzles and some minor chasing scenes. While story lacks originality, it’s still interesting to follow, since charactrers are nice and game has several endings. Game is about 3 hours long and leaves mostly positive impression. So, if you like old-school rpg-horrors-be my guest.

11. Red Trees

While having some minor horror elements, Red Trees stays warm and relaxing adventure game with humorous and ironic view on horror genre and quite unexpected ending in a way. Graphic style of the game and whole atmosphere of a local town is somewhat reminiscent of Mother series.Gameplay is quite simple and consist from few “find-and-bring-to-the- right-person” puzzles, which can be easily solved in 30 minutes or so.

12. The Stairway

Like Red Trees this game is also recommended for players, who’ve already tired from jumpscares, explinct content and overthinking bizarre puzzles. This game has simple yet nice story, unique visuals and some easy logical puzzles. So, if you want to neatly spend 30-40 minutes of your time, try and climb The Stairway to see what’s awiting you at the very end.

13. Friendship

The most fitting description for Friendship would be “horror for the beginners”, since it can surprise or startle you only if you haven’t played any other rpg-horrors before. In fact Friendship doesn’t stand out much compared with better quality school horrors ( like Misao or Amayado Bus Stop ).But it doesn’t mean that the game is bad-Friendship is a good way to spend 30 minutes seeing how strong attachment to a friend can turn simple game into yandere-horror.

14. By Ourselves

And here comes our closing title about two former classmates, who’ve found themeselves trapped in the room. Game is only 10 minutes long and basically is one big locked door puzzle. You find the first hint and then successively exploring the room for the way out. Game has two endings determined by how much attention you’re paying to your comrade in distress.

Mystic Falls. An unknown territory. Truth is, I never left New York. My parents sent me here to “better myself”. They tried to get me to stay with family friends but I shot that down quick. I’m 19. I can fend for myself. The only reason I came down here instead of bailing was because I might as well do something for them. Family is all you have in the end.

The apartment I bought was right in the town. As I looked from a window I saw town square and a bar across from my building. Smirking, I got dressed into a black tank top and ripped jeans. I grabbed my heels, purse, and leather jacket before stepping out into the cold hallway.

There weren’t a lot of people around as I across the street. And it was quiet.. Living in the city that never sleeps can be very loud. This was the exact opposite and it was kind of nice.

Walking into the grill or bar or whatever it is, I looked around. The door slammed behind me, catching some peoples attention. Music played softly in the background, and I arched an eyebrow. Is this really how people spend their time down here? I sighed and started to make my way to the bar.

“Rum and coke, please.” I asked kindly.

The man looked at me with a questioning look but made my drink anyway. Wow, they don’t even ID down here. I sipped my drink and scanned around the room. Not a lot of cute guys here. The man a few seats down wasn’t too bad, with raven hair and a leather jacket but I could tell that he’s spoken for. Him and brunette over there were speaking with their eyes.

The blonde one who made my drink was okay.. But he looked vulnerable. Reading people around me became a specialty of mine after years and years of boring family business parties. I let out a sigh before downing the rest of my drink. I turned my head and saw a man smirking at me. He was probably the best looking guy in the bar. From his smirk I could tell he was confident.

The blonde girl behind him didn’t look too happy, and stormed off. I smiled as he approached me.

“You don’t look like you’re from around here, love.” The man spoke with an accent. Accents have always been a weakness of mine, but I didn’t let it show.

“That’s because I’m not.” I grinned, looked back to the bartender. “Another rum and coke, please.”

“Put it on my tab, Matt. It’s rude to have a woman pay for her own drink.”

“Oh, so chivalry isn’t dead. That’s a relief.” I let out a light laugh as Matt handed me my drink.

“I like to think my mother raised me better than that.” His voice was smooth.

“Very well. What’s your name, stranger?” I asked, taking a sip, letting the burning liquid slide down my throat.

“Klaus.. And you are?”

“Y/N. Now that we’re acquainted, how about I beat your ass at a game of pool?”

Klaus ended up walking me back to my apartment around 11. I wasn’t drunk, but I wasn’t sober either. I could still walk on my own, but I had a giggly feeling.

“You can come in, if you’d like. It’ll probably be hours before I fall asleep.” I announced as I unlocked my door.

“No. It’s quite alright. Perhaps I’ll see you tomorrow.” Klaus smiled. He drank way more than me, yet he doesn’t even seem fazed.

I let out a giggle, “perhaps you will. Goodnight Klaus. You’re not that bad you know.”

“Goodnight Y/N.” He softly smiled before walking to the elevator.

Shutting the door, I stretched and started stripping. Making my way to the closet.

Waking up, it felt as if someone lightly traced their fingers on my bare back. Yet, when I opened my eyes I saw no one around. I stretched and probably let out the most sexual noise ever while I did it. That’s the beauty of living alone. You can make so many weird noises and no one will hear.

After showering and changing into my clothes for the day, I grabbed my keys and walked to the front door. I came to a stop when I saw a single envelope on the floor, as if someone slid it under the door. The writing on it was beautiful cursive. I opened it and saw that it was an invitation to a ball.

Holy shit, I didn’t think anyone threw those things anymore. Thinking it’d be fun I decided to go dress shopping. Flipping the card over I saw, written messily in the bottom corner, ‘Save me a dance. -Klaus.’.

Jesus, I don’t know who this man is… but he’s playing the cards right. I smirked to myself, and finally headed into the town. Walking from store to store I ran into the blonde girl from last night in a boutique.

“Hi,” she simply spoke, standing in front of me with her hands clasped. I gave her an odd look.

“Hi.”

“What’s your name?” She asked.

“…Y/N. Yours?” I responded. I felt awkward talking to her, so I continued to browse isles. Looking at different price tags on beautiful gowns.

“Caroline.” She smiled. I will admit, she is beautiful.

“Nice to meet you Caroline. Can I help you with something?”

She looked around the room, “this might sound weird, but I’m trying to help you.”

I arched an eyebrow. “Really?”

“Yeah, just stay away from Klaus… He’s trouble. I should know.”

I smirked and looked over to her, “everyone likes a bit of trouble. Thanks, honestly. But I can take care of myself. It was nice to meet you, Caroline.” I smiled before grabbing a beautiful dress and going to the register.

The ball was at 7, however considering I knew nothing about this town I decided to leave a bit early so I could avoid getting lost. The gown I was wearing was black lace. It was straight and flowed to the floor. I had my hair styled up, with loose curls falling out. My makeup was natural, with a bit of dark eyeshadow to make my eyes pop.

I ended up pulling into the mansion around 8:30. Try to get somewhere early, only to be late. Story of my life. Walking inside, I saw so many people in gorgeous dresses and suits. There were waiters walking about with champagne.

I snagged myself a glass and wandered around. I tried my hardest to look for Klaus - or hell, even Caroline, but no luck. I’m never good at events like this unless I had someone with me.

A few glasses later, I stood by the staircase. Contemplating leaving or not.

“Save me a dance, love?” I heard a voice from behind me. I smirked and turned around.

“Surprisingly, I haven’t danced with anyone. Just drinking your free champagne. If you’re lucky, you might get more than one dance.”

“How come you haven’t danced with anyone? As far as I can tell, most of the men can’t keep their eyes off you. Including my brother, over there.” Klaus smirked, pulling me to the dance floor.

“Believe it or not, most guys are intimidated by me. It was like that even in New York. Which one is your brother?” I responded, placing one hand behind his neck and the other in his hand.

“He’s over there, by the bar. He’s the one staring and trying to find out a way to win your heart.”

I glanced behind me and saw him smirking. I let out a laugh.

“He’s cute. But I’m not really into the whole Peter Pan look he has going.. And plus, I’m not that easy to win over.”

Klaus laughed, “I’ll be sure to let him know that.”

I laughed with him before he changed the subject.

“So, Y/N.. What do you like?”

“What do I like?” I laughed softly, “depends. Are we talking about in general or what I like in men?” I arched an eyebrow.

He smirked, “either one.”

I sighed, “well, I try to like everything. As cliché as this might sound, I like clothing. I’ve been thinking about designing some. I love art. But not that stupid modern art, where someone draws a line and calls it art. I like classic art. Like the Mona Lisa or Creation of Adam.. And as for men, I like them to be brilliant. Sophisticated.. But still dangerous. Every girl has a weak spot for a bad boy.” I laughed.

Klaus lightly chuckled, and looked into my eyes. He stepped away, mid dance, and held out his hand.

“Come with me.”

I narrowed my eyes at him but took his hand anyway. He led me up the staircase and I grabbed another glass of champagne on the way.

Klaus opened up the doors to a room and I walked inside. As soon as I stepped one foot inside, I gasped. Paintings were lined around the room and a desk and easel was placed in the middle.

“Oh my god.” I whispered, walking to one of the paintings.

“What are you? Like a collector or something?” I asked, lightly trailing my fingers down a canvas. I heard Klaus chuckle from behind me.

“No, actually I’m an artist. Or so I like to think.”

“Are you kidding me? These are gorgeous. The way you blended the paints together.. It’s amazing.” I smiled, and turned to face him. “You have talent.”

“Thank you. That actually means more than it seems.” He smiled back.

Suddenly the door opened and Caroline stood there, looking angry.

“Klaus. May I have a word?” Her voice was cold.

I saw Klaus roll his eyes before turning to me.

“Please excuse me, I’ll just be a moment.”

I smiled at him and nodded, turning back to the masterpieces in front of me.

For some reason, the party ended early and Klaus never returned. I was walking into my sad, cold apartment when I noticed something lying on my bed. I threw down my clutch and picked up the piece of paper.

It was a drawing, of me. My hair was down and it looked like I was smiling. I remember that moment, it was the night before when I was kicking Klaus’ ass at pool. The bottom corner had writing and it said, ‘Hope you forgive me for leaving you. I’d love to see you again. You’re different from the rest. - Klaus.’

I smiled like a drunk idiot before falling onto my bed. I think I might like it here.

Hope you like it!! Sorry it’s so late!! xx

New Family - Requested

Requested by @tanovic54321 :  Can u do a fluff Sherlock imagine where his gf accompanies him to a family thing & she brings her sons for the first time his family (& him)meet them & slowly people realizes that the two little boys are tiny versions of Sherlock & Mycroft?

Pairing: Sherlock x reader.

Word count: 1,169

Warnings: This is mostly focused on the kids.

A/N: As someone who has lived this kind of situation (as in the kid’s point of view) I figured it would be too much to have many people there, so I reduced it a bit.

Enjoy!

It was a big step – a huge step, more likely – for Sherlock and (Y/N)’s relationship. They never expected to get that far and so they decided to keep the kids out of it.

She had two young boys, smart and sympathetic, highly functional kids. Sherlock knew about them and even liked them in spite of having met them only two or three times maximum.

“Are you sure about this?” She stuttered. They were outside her home and the kids were inside. Sherlock wanted to take them all to a family thing.

“Of course I’m sure,” Sherlock assured, acting offended by the question. “I’ve never been more sure in my life.”

“I’m sure the correct word is ‘surer’, Sher.” (Y/N) chuckled.

“Surer sounds stupid.” Sherlock beamed, “Now call the boys and let’s go.”

(Y/N) hesitated but eventually called them. Sherlock noticed how the oldest one was clearly bigger than the other, not only in height but also he was chubbier. The younger one had a curly mess on his head, and he seemed to be skinnier and shyer.

“Michael, Shepherd, remember Mister Holmes?” (Y/N) asked as she pushed the two boys out.

“How do you do?” They both asked in mechanical voices.

“Nice to see you again, lads.” Sherlock greeted back.

“Mommy, is he going to take us to jail?” Shepherd, the younger, inquired.

“No, not at all,” Sherlock replied.

“Obviously,” Michael snapped, “he only takes criminals to jail. If you knew how to properly read, you’d know.”

“Enough, Michael.” (Y/N) warned. The kid shut his mouth but he kept the superiority pose.

“Where are we going, Mister Holmes?” Shepherd continued.

“I’m taking you to my country house to meet my parents and my brother,” Sherlock explained calmly.

“Why?” Shepherd asked.

“Because he’s mommy’s new boyfriend!” Michael huffed.

Shepherd gasped and tried to act surprised. Before (Y/N) could reply, Shep punched Michael’s arm.

“We had to keep it secret!” Shepherd cried.

“Enough!” (Y/N) split them. “Are you sure you want to take them?”

Sherlock giggled warmly. “Yes, my mother will love them.”

Special Fic Rec ❤❤

Ok so, I began this blog on December 9th, well, actually I’ve been on tumblr since 2013 (nice, old Naruto Era), yet, I consider this one the actual date of this blog birth, since it was the day I posted my first BTS Fanfiction - Sanitarium (which I still hold very dearly to my heart).

To be honest, even if writing has been one of my passions for many years, I never expected much from my own stories, especially since English killed me in more than one way (ah, it kicked my ass so hard during my high school days lol); yet, I surprisingly found an incredible amount of happiness in writing for seven lovely dorks - not to talk about the crazy, wonderful authors and friends I had the pleasure to meet here, people who helped me grow and who gave me some of the most pleasurable reading moments of my life :’)

But I was saying, I didn’t expect much from posting my fics, yet, nearly 5 months later, I reach my first mile stone. Really, I can’t believe it: 1k people are reading my fics, and supposedly they also enjoy them. It happened quite fast, in my opinion, and I also know I’ve been very lucky for many authors are amazing and still don’t have the exposure they deserve! It takes them a lot of hard work when they should really be appreciated a lot more! This is why, to celebrate this milestone (ok, compared to other authors is not that big of a number, but still I consider it an important accomplishment ;^;) I decided to do a special, big fic rec to share the talent filling this social!!

Some of these writers are super known actually, yet others have a smaller public: they have such a fantastic way with words tho, such a breath-taking creativity, that I just needed to tag them and link their stories - hopefully, some of you will fall in love with their work too; please, if so, go send them all a lot of love, for they are not holy amazing authors but also amazing people :’)

And I’m incredibly happy to have some of them as mutuals, if not even as friends <3 <3

AND REQUESTS HERE

ANONYMOUS ASKED:
Could you please write a jughead x reader where the reader is a punk, has purple hair and is from southside and transfers to riverdale high

I was always the outcast of my school, wearing that stupid hat on my head, constantly typing away in my laptop, and with my stupid name. Bulling was inevitable for me so I was beyond surprised when it suddenly stopped. It was another dark day in Riverdale after the case of Jason Blossom was finally closed when there was another new girl in our little high school. She was the kind of girl you could not take your eyes off. And even if you tried her deep purple colored hair would catch your attention again. She was wearing combat boots and a Southside Serpents jacket, paired with black ripped ‘mum’ jeans and a black band T-shirt. She was very mysterious to say the least, and she defenitely looked dangerous, but that didn’t stop the pricks from the football team to hit on her.

She was sitting alone at lunch and I was too curious as to why she was in our school instead of the Southside High. But, before I could walk and sit with her, the lovable Reggie Mantle settled down and started hitting her with his failed pick up lines. She seemed indifferent, as if she couldn’t even hear him, but she was mad. I saw her fists clench and before anything happened I walked up to her. “Reggie, pal, this girl over here seemes indifferent, at least, so why don’t you go learn something and maybe later you can show it off,” I said with sudden confidence. “Aw, how sweet. Freak number one fancies freak number two.  Nice.” He relied laughing. “But, I think I’m staying. My new friend over here, Y/N, is one interesting chick.” He said again and she, for once, looked absolutely livind. “Then I guess I will let her show you how interesting she is,” I responded and nodded for her to do whatever she was about to do. Just right then and there Reggie was found on the floor, with a bleeding nose, given to him by a very small framed girl in comparison to him. That would be indeed an interesting story to tell.

After what happened with Reggie this morining me and the new girl, that reaportively is named Y/N, went to Pop’s together. She was a very pleasant person to talk to, plus her music choices were surprisingly good. “Oh god, wow!” She laughed after I talled her one of the few funny stories I had with my dad. “I never though FP had a funny side,” she joked and I smiled. “So,” I began, “how comes a surpent treanfers to Riverdale high?” I asked being the curious human being I am. “Well, there were some issues with me and so fuckboys in my school to the point I was kicked out of Southside High. My family insisted that I continue school so my other option was your school, I guess.” She explained looking down. “Oh, ok.” I uttered just as Pop brought us our orders.

Y/N and I became close and closer by the day. We became inseparable. We would always be with one another in school and then we would walk to Pop’s together, where I would help her with some of her homework and she would help me with my novel or the articles for the blue and gold. So, right now it was a free period for me and the gang but Y/N was in algebra class. “I pretty sure she is cursing me under her breath right now cause she has algebra and I have a free period,” I chuckled and Archie looked at me with disbelief. “What?” I question and he just nodded his head no. “It’s nothing really. But, can you just stop pretending like you don’t like her,” he said. “We all know she likes you too,” Veronica intruded the conversation. “I don’t like her and she doesn’t like me, ok?!” I responded to my friends and they laughed. “Yes, that’s why whenever she is not around you talk about her, that’s why you look at like she is some kind of precious diamond to you, tha-” “That’s why you even let her correct your writing at times, even if you still keep what you originally wrote,” Archie interupted. It took me a second to process but they were right. Maybe I did have feelings for her.

nice soft pynch headcanons

  • listen we all love ronan showing up at college and scaring the shit out of adam’s college friends
  • but im in love with adam coming home because im a gross sappy loser like ronan
  • ronan sits outside waiting all day, and then he sees the BMW roll up and he gets up and he can’t not smile and his eyes cant help but sparkle and everything is coming together now
  • adam steps out and ronan is all “hey asshole” and adam laughs, and ronan’s ears are ringing
  • “is opal up?” adam asks, but ronan is already nodding and closing the distance and whispers “back of the car” and adam is laughing into the kiss and there is nothing better than that taste in ronans mouth
  • adam actually puts off studying for a day or two that way he and ronan can have time together, because he knows how happy it makes ronan to have him home for a long weekend
  • they spend hours kissing and making love and going for walks with opal. adam braids opals hair while ronan massages him. adam gives ronan a very different kind of massage later when theyre alone in their room
  • adam is falling asleep, and he is in that nice spot between almost completely asleep but theres a little bit of awareness left, and he can hear ronan whispering things to him because ronan thinks hes asleep
  • ronans arms are around adam and his lovely smouldering whispers are the last things adam hears “i love you more than i can ever tell you” because its easier for ronan to say things in the dark “i want to pull the god damn stars from the sky for you” and he presses his lips on the back of adams neck “and when youre done school itll be you and me, properly, forever”
  • theres one night where ronan actually really wants to sleep so bad but he just cant so adam makes ronan lie against his chest and scratches his nails lightly over his scalp, and tells ronan stories. he’s surprisingly good at it, making up stories about cabeswater, or retelling his favourite moments about falling in love with ronan. or recounting gansey-dad moments. and the sound of adam’s voice sends ronan to sleep.
  • my favourite though is when ronan cooks, because adam sits on the counter stealing strips of food from the frying pan, grinning at ronan who is glaring at him
  • ronan smacks his thigh and adam laughs happily. ronan is all “i dont want you to leave”
  • adam answers “i leave so i can come back” and he tilts ronans head up so he could kiss him properly.
Wash Away (The Mess I’ve Made)

A/N: A second part to this story was requested, but this works perfectly well as a standalone story, too!! I’m so hyped to be sharing this with you, and I think it’s pretty clear that no sequels will be possible. That being said, please feel free to scream at me in my inbox about what you thought and pelt me with requests about the bae, Peter Parker/Tom Holland. This was surprisingly fun to write, and I hope that you enjoy it!!

“PETER!”

A frantic scream rips its way out of your throat. The Vulture’s hold around your waist is bruisingly tight, but you don’t dare to ask him to loosen his grip. If he takes that statement a little too literally, you might end up in a puddle on the pavement below.

“Let (Y/n) go!” Peter yells, swinging after The Vulture in hot pursuit. “This is between you and me, right?”

“It stopped being between us the moment she decided to spare your miserable life!”

Breathing in quick little gasps, your eyes too round and large in a pale face, your frightened gaze meets Peter’s. Your hand is outstretched, uselessly trying to latch onto a boy who’s nowhere near enough for you to grab hold of. He’s shooting out strings of webs, probably hoping to catch you around the waist and tug you out of The Vulture’s grip and over to him, but the two of you are swooping away on metal wings, too fast for Peter to catch up with.

You decide to lend Peter a hand.

He promised to protect you.

And in all the years that you’ve known him, Peter has never broken a promise.

The sight of Peter reminds you that you’re smarter and braver than this. You clamp your canines onto the fleshy part of The Vulture’s arm, which snaps back. His curses echo around you as you elbow yourself free. Before you can scream, before you even have time to regret your decision, you’re free-falling, hair whipping into your face, limbs flailing about ungracefully, Peter’s name being screamed from your lips.

A stream of webbing latches onto your waist; Peter yanks on the other end of the web, and you’re pulled up into his arms, safe and warm and secure in his tight embrace. Peter catches you with a grunt, and the two of you collapse onto a rooftop in a tangled heap, his back and head absorbing the brunt of the impact. You lie on the floor for what seems to be an eternity, trying to remember how to breathe, trying to distinguish the various aches and pains in your limbs. Peter’s moan pours out the pain around you, but he is strong and full of life.

Peter wastes no time in helping you stand, in checking you over for injuries. “Are you okay? Did he hurt you?”

The growing silence, coupled with your lack of a response, must frighten Peter. His voice is practically a growl as he demands, “What did he do?”

You shake your head; try to find your voice. You’re shaking so badly that you can’t even stand on your own. “I - I’m scared.”

“It’ll be okay, (Y/n).” Peter promises fiercely, hugging you close to his chest. “I’ll take care of this, and then we’ll go home. Okay?”

Your chest convulses on a sob. It’s all you can do not to clutch Peter close to you and not let him go. As it is, you manage a choked, “This is all my fault. I’m so sorry.”

You don’t regret sparing Peter’s life, but every fibre of your being knows that The Vulture is furious at you for turning on him to help Peter. And if he had one target before, you’re sure that you’ve now been bumped up as The Vulture’s number one enemy.

Previous relationship as father and daughter be damned.

“It is not your fault.” Peter says, inspecting your teary face. With infinite gentleness, he wipes away a tear that slips down the curve of a pale cheek. “It’s one thousand percent not your fault.”

A watery laugh bubbles out of you. You lean into his touch. “You can’t have one thousand percent.”

“Yes, you can!” Peter retorts childishly, and you’re snorting snotty bubbles, which makes the two of you laugh even harder.

You hear the tell-tale whirr of an engine approaching. The shift in the mood is almost instantaneous; Peter grabs your hand and practically drags you behind the protective cover of a water tank. You hunker down behind it. It’s not much, not when The Vulture has lasers of mass destruction, but at least Peter isn’t asking you to run.

“I love you, (Y/n),” Peter says, brushing his lips over your hair, over your forehead. “I’ll come back soon, okay?”

He’s gone before you can reply; you can only hope Peter knows that you love him too. All around you, like a chorus of birds rising up from the ground at the same time, comes the other screams of fear, crowding one another on the streets down below. Fear for him hacks at your heart, even though he’s more than capable of defending himself. But he’s only gone up against petty thieves and thugs. This was The Vulture. You know what he’s capable of, you’ve seen what he can do –

“(Y/N)!”

There’s an agonized scream. Before you’re even aware of what’s happening, the Vulture’s appeared in front of you. You’re scrambling backwards now, away from your shelter, away from him, but a crushing blow strikes your chest, and you fly backwards, a ragdoll in the air.

There’s a furious high whine and someone – It’s Peter, it has to be Peter – screams your name, screams it out like a prayer. A feeling of heat, starting in your chest then spreading outwards to your fingers and toes, and the sensation of being lifted, thrown, by a giant’s hand; the ground beneath your feet is revolving, turning upside down and sideways, but then you can’t feel solid ground beneath your feet anymore, and you’re falling, falling, falling.

Peter’s launched himself after you, you can see him trying to grab onto you, your hand, the back of your shirt, anything really, but The Vulture slams into him, and they crash into the side of a building, sending shards of glass flying everywhere. Peter’s scream sounds positively frantic now.

They say that before you die, your life flashes before your eyes, but that’s not how it happens for you.

You see the happier times, filled with love and laughter and light, with people you loved and who loved you in return. You and Michelle, watching The Fault in Our Stars and crying when Augustus died, and how she’d sworn you to secrecy. Ned, trying on Peter’s Spiderman outfit and how you’d laughed yourself into an early grave at the sight of spandex and a ratty hoodie. The time you and Liz had gone shopping, and she’d bought a ‘best friends forever’ necklace in the shape of a heart, and had given you half of it.

And your first kiss with Peter, slow and sweet and hesitant, when you had felt so happy and bright and free, wishing that this moment could last forever because there was no way that this happiness would last.

Floating images and memories, moving in and out. A bright red and blue suit, a hand outstretched, the voice of someone who loves you saying (Y/n), (Y/n), (Y/n), making it sound like the most beautiful song. And Peter’s face, pale and beautiful, warm brown eyes and a smile that had been the centre of your world.

“Peter, I –”

Imagine Chris finding out you wrote his favorite love story.

A/N: Part 2 is here, yo! :) You can find the previous parts here: (Unexpected Reader - Part 1) I’m really liking where this is going, do you? ❤️

After Chris returned with your second vanilla latte, and his first green tea- he wasn’t a coffee person unless his schedule needed him to be- the both of you chatted at your corner table in Starbucks. The way you talked to each other, it was like two old friends rather than a fan with her celebrity crush. You’d started the conversation incredibly nervous; you’d had to hide your clammy palms under your butt in fear that he’d reach over and give your hand another pat or gentle squeeze. But the more you talked to Chris, the calmer you became about the whole situation. You didn’t know what it was about him that normalized him despite his celebrity status and deadly good looks, but for a second- you could almost forget that you were talking to Chris Evans.

Believe it or not, Chris was everything you’d imagined he’d be, and more- if that was even possible. The way you’d portrayed him in your stories was- as far as you could see- a hundred and ten percent accurate. The man was sweet, kind, funny, intelligent, and real. Chris was real, he was real with his questions, his comments, and his interest in what you had to say. You were so lost in the conversation- in his darling blue eyes- that you forgot to take some notes so you could write a piece based around this once in a lifetime meeting, though you doubt you needed anything to remind you of this interaction. You were pretty sure this was something you were going to remember on your deathbed, which was surely moments away if he continued to smile at you the way he was.

Now the realistic side of you reminded you not to fall too hard for, or get too attached to the man you clearly had no chance with; you had to know that Chris was just talking to you to pass time in a boring airport. But the hopelessly romantic and imaginative side of you said otherwise; Chris wasn’t the kind of guy who would approach a girl unless he was genuinely interested, be it romantically, or platonically. You may not have known him personally, but you knew he wasn’t the kind of guy who would lead people on, or use people. You’d watched enough interviews, read enough articles and fan encounters, and written enough fan fiction to know that he was a genuinely nice guy who was worth befriending and loving if you were ever lucky enough to acquire those chances. Perhaps you didn’t have a chance at being his girlfriend like you’d always dreamed of, but maybe- just maybe, you had a chance at being his friend.

“So tell me, Y/N.” He began and smiled when he saw how much more relaxed you were with him now than you were at the start of the conversation. Your hands had dried and returned to thrum the tabletop quietly as you waited for him to finish his sentence. “What made you want to pursue screen writing?”

“Would you believe me if I said you?” You quizzed with a small smile, which grew wider when you saw him smile. You started explaining when you saw his facials prompt a continuation, “I um- I’ve always loved writing, ever since I was kid. I liked making up stories, imagining all the different lives I could live and all the different jobs I could do. It was a good escape from my mundane life,” you admitted with pursed lips. “But uh- I never really thought about turning it into a career until I started writing fan fiction about you on Tumblr.”

“How do you mean?”

“I wrote as an escape,” you said and he nodded, acknowledging what you’d told him earlier “I took myself into a different world where I could have the perfect life with the perfect guy so I could feel better. Writing was like a safe haven, a place where nothing bad could get to me. It made me happy and I realized…” You trailed off, licking your dry lips. “There must be a lot of people like me out there who needed someone else to be, someone wonderful to be with. I just- there had to be someone out there who needed a safe haven too.”

“So you started posting on Tumblr,” he finished for you and you nodded.

“I started out pretty slow, I had a few likes here and there. Um- It took a while for me to build a fan base, but eventually- I had a reasonable number of readers who supported all my pieces. A lot of them thanked me for writing something that took their mind off a bad day. Some thanked me for making them smile and-” You felt your eyes welled with tears of joy; you were still touched every time you talked about your interactions with your readers. “And some would tell me that my stories gave them a reason to hold out for a love as strong as the ones I wrote about.”

Chris smiled as he listened to you answer his question in great detail with an indescribable amount of pride and passion. He felt his heart flutter as he unknowingly starting falling for you. You were a lot like the protagonist in one of his favorite love stories, which was surprisingly a Chris Evans mini series written by a fan on Tumblr. He’d found the link lodged away in his Twitter mentions, a simple sentence “you deserve a love as strong as this” caught his attention and invited him into the world of fan fiction. He spent a whole day reading the entire series and wishing he’d the life that Chris Evans had, wishing he had the girl that Chris Evans had. He was still yet to ask if you’d heard about the series, perhaps you could help him find out who wrote it because he’d love to meet and talk to the talented and obviously lovely author who surely based the second person protagonist around herself. Maybe she was the one, maybe they could get together and try to work towards the life she wrote about.

“What I thought was a hobby changed people’s lives for the better,” you continued and he nodded, smiling. “So how can I not make that into a career? How can I waste my ability to inspire and touch people through my words? To make them realize that they deserve something great? I don’t know, I’m rambling a little.” You chuckled nervously and he shook his head. “I just feel like if I can change one life, my time on this earth has been worthwhile.”

“That’s sweet,” he smiled. “Like- that’s just-” He found himself at a lost for words as he watched you intently. He chuckled softly with a shake of his head, “you’re- you’re kind of amazing, Y/N.” You felt your cheeks flush as you bit back your growing smile. “That is- that’s an amazing answer to such a simple question. But before I say anything else, I don’t think I have anything to do with your decision. I’m just one of the pieces, y'know? I mean- it sounds to me like you would’ve done something amazing with your talent even if you weren’t a fan of mine. I was just lucky enough to be the one you wrote about, I had nothing to do with any of it.”

“Well that’s not entirely true,” you chuckled. “I wouldn’t have pursued anything if I weren’t a fan of yours.” You told him and he narrowed his eyes in confusion. “Yes, I would’ve wrote about someone else but- your success story is kind of what made me push myself into studying screenwriting. In all your interviews, you talked about pushing yourself into what scares you. Like working with Marvel and going to New York to pursue your acting career- those stories are what inspired me to pursue my own, I would’ve never if it weren’t for you.”

He smiled, unsure of what to say except, “I’m glad I could help. You’re very talented from what I could see over your shoulder,” he said then chuckled when you did. “Would you mind letting me read something else of yours? I promise I won’t judge,” he told you when you looked hesitant. “Unless you’re one of those kinky smut writers,” he teased. “‘Cause then maybe there’ll be a little judgement.”

“Hey, some of my best friends are kinky smut writers.”

“Oh,” he chuckled. “Well, I don’t mean any disrespect to them. I’m just- stunned they can come up with what they come up with. Perhaps I should take a few tips, turn my vanilla based life into something more swirly.” He joked and you laughed, covering your mouth when you realized you were attracting attention.

“Like you need any tips on how to get things done in the bedroom,” you said then blushed when he smiled. “Fine,” you opened your laptop screen and turned it towards him after opening your most successful piece; your mini-series. “It’s um- It’s a mini-series, so it’s fairly long.” You explained and Chris’ heart skipped a beat; his eyes quickly scanned what was in front of him so he could determine if you were the girl he was looking for. “You don’t have to read it all, you can just-”

“Holy crap,” his eyes stopped at one of the many sentences he’d read a thousand times. “Drunk minds speak for a sober heart,” he mumbled to himself then looked up at you. Your eyes narrowed in confusion when you saw the way he was looking at you. Was that- adoration? You were about to question him when he smiled and breathed, “it’s you.”

Part 3A

I don't remember | Jughead x Reader | Part 2

*PART 1*| *PART 3*

Summary: You wake up after the big party, definitely not in your bed, and you don’t remember how you got here. To be honest, you don’t remember anything that happened last night. Why are you not wearing your dress? Why you do you have a big bruise on your arm? Why are you in Jughead Jones’ apartment? What does all this have to do with Reggie? And why you don’t remember anything, even getting drunk?

Words: 1363

Warnings: MISTERY, cursing, alcohol, bad decisions, some sexual content, presumptions of rape, suppositions about a date rape drug. You are reading at your own risk. Sorry.

A/N(IMPORTANT): I am very glad that so many of you liked the first part. When I started to write this, I did not expect to write a story like this. I hope you will like the second part. Please after reading this, read some fluff. Now the important part: I have dyslexia so forgive me for my grammar, because I’m trying to write correctly, but it does not always work. So I’m sorry again.

Feel free to send my any requests, asks etc.
Also, the thoughts are write in italic.

“The problem is that you wasn’t drunk (Y/N),” he said.

“W-what?” My voice was shaky

How quick could I get to the front door?
Jughead was (much/a little bit/-) taller, but maybe I could reach them faster. Of course, if the door is not closed. I could also choose a window, but this one look like really tricky to open.

“Maybe you want to change first?” He asked, and my mind started to work faster.

I need to get out of here. Now

I threw the clothes he gave my into the air, and I reached the front door. I pressed the handle.

Closed. Fuck. I should choose the window.

****

“This was amazing,” I said when I finished my drink “What did you add to it?”

His eyes opened wide, but he smirked and said: “I am not telling you, it’s a secret.”

I laughed. “Then I would like another “secret”, but first let’s go dance.“

*****

“I want to leave! If you don’t let me go, I will start screaming” Jughead was shocked. Probably he didn’t expect that I will act like this.

“Wait what… No no (Y/N) it’s not like that.”

“Open the door!”

“(Y/N)” He began to approach me.

“Stay away!” I said quickly. He stopped and put his hand into his pocket. He took out the keys.

“I am not forcing you to stay here (Y/N). You can leave whenever you want” He threw the keys, and I caught them.

“The biggest one,” he said.

I slowly opened the door still looking at him. It was right key.
It calmed me a little.

“Ok, what happened” I crossed my arms. I needed answers, but I still didn’t trust him. Why should I?
I felt dizzy. The room started to be vague.

What was happening? I didn’t drink or eat  anyth… Oh God, he made me a coffee. And I drank it.
*******
“Hi guys!” Veronica and a guy who I didn’t know walked to us.

“Hi!” I said

“(Y/N) you don’t know my brother. This is Oliver, Oliver this is (Y/N)” Reggie introduced us.

“Nice to meet you (Y/N)!” He was taller than Reggie, but they were very similar. No wonder why Veronica was looking at his face with admiration. He was very very handsome.

“You too.” He smiled. He had a gorgeous smile!

“Guys, someone puked on the stairs, and the beer had finished.” said some tall blonde boy who just barged through a crowd.

“It’s not even midnight!” Reggie looked at his brother and then at us.

“I take the beer,” Oliver said.

“So that means I going to deal with the stairs” Reggie rolled his eyes and sighed.

“Yup, little brother. Excuse us ladies. We will be right back.”

******
My vision went blur. I was falling. I felt the strong hand on my waist.

“No,” I said, but Jughead didn’t let me go.

“Calm down. Just sit on the chair. You will not black down in my house again.”

He walked my to the chair and took away his hands.
Again?

“What was in my coffee,” I said quietly

“What?”

“What was in my coffee Jughead?”
******
“Girl, we are lucky” Ronnie smirked to me when Reggie and Oliver drifted away.

“The most handsome brothers!”

“I can already hear the rumours.”

“(Y/N) and Veronica the luckiest girls in the school” we laughed

“What are you two laughing about” we heard Archive voice. We turn around. He was holding two drinks.

“Nothing” Ronnie smiled.

“Well I figured out you will probably like something to drink since your partners abounded you.” He handle us the drinks

“I shouldn’t mix the alcohol,” I said hesitantly

“C'mon (Y/N) I made it especially for you” Archie winged.

“You are the second guy who said that in about ten minutes” I rolled my eyes
“Not very original.”

“Yeah thank you Archie for making during especially for (Y/N)” Ronnie acted offended but she smiled

“And this one is “especially” for you Veronica” Archie reflected, but he kept looking at me when I was drinking. I laughed.

“I hope so,” Ronnie said and took her drink.
*******
“I didn’t drug you (Y/N)!”

“That is something, which someone who drugged me would say!” My vision was clear again. He was picking up the clothes. He looked in my eyes and sighed.

“I didn’t drug you. I didn’t force you to anything…” I opened my mouth. “No, let me finish! I didn’t add anything to your coffee. Basically, I didn’t do anything like that. I don’t know the whole story, but I can tell you what I know and what happened. I will understand if you don’t want to. You can leave whenever you want.”

I didn’t say anything. I wasn’t sure what to do. I was curious, but on the other hand,  I was scared.

He rolled his eyes, took his phone out of his pocket and placed it on the table next to me.
“I don’t know where your phone is but you can call whoever you want and check my story. Ok?”

“Ok.”

“How are you filling?”

“Better.”
*****
I knew that I shouldn’t mix alcohol! It was wired that I was drunk after two drinks. I didn’t like being drunk, but this time it was surprisingly nice. I felt relaxed when I was dancing. But after about 20 minutes I started feeling dizzy.

“Are you ok?” Kevin asked with concerned look

“I think-k so-o. I n-need s-some air” I said, and I was surprised. I didn’t think I
was so drunk to have a speech problem.

“Girl how much did you drink?” he smirked

“Definitely not enough” Veronica handled me a drink. She already drank about 6 and Archie was still bringing more.

“No, thanks.” The speech problem disappeared, how was that possible?

“C'mon you only drank about 2 and it’s not even midnight. By the way, did someone see Reggie or Olivier?”

****

“Why I am here with you,” I asked

“You called me,” he answered.

That was wired. Why I phoned Jughead? I didn’t know him. I didn’t talk to him. Something wasn’t right.

“I don’t have your number. How could I called you?”

“You called me from Archie’s phone.”

*****
“I think I need to go home,” I said and started to looking for my purse. Damn it I left it somewhere.

“No (Y/N) stay with us!” Kevin insisted

I saw that Archie was holding a phone, he was texting. I took his phone and opened the contact book.

“No (Y/N)!” Archie tried to stop me and got his phone back. Probably I interrupted some meaningful conversation. I didn’t care. I found the taxi number, but I accidentally press the one above. I saw Jughead name on the screen, and then I heard his voice. He was angry.

“Dude! I told you I’m busy. I don’t care how wasted you are I’m not picking you up.” He hung up.

Archie took the phone out of my hand. “You need some air,” He said. “I will call a taxi for you, ok?”
I nodded

We walked out of Reggie’s house. The cold air was very nice. But I didn’t felt better. Contrary everything went blur again. I sat on the stairs. I felt dizzy and tired.

“Do you want to have a walk? Drive-In is nearby” I heard the voice. It sounded like from under water. Unrealistic. I didn’t recognise it. Maybe it was Archie? I walked out with Archie, right?

Strong hands helped me to stand up. I felt like my feets didn’t belong to me. I looked at the owner of the hands. But everything was nebulous. He was tall. What was his hair colour? Is it’s just the light from the streetlight reflecting in his black hair or there are really red?

“Yeah let’s go,” I said, and he took my hand.

******

“What are you not telling me, Jughead?” I asked

He didn’t answer.

Hiii! Would you please write a Clony fic where Tony and Clay get caught making out?!? ❤️;)

Read it on AO3

1 – Ryan Shaver

The first time Clay and Tony get caught making out is unfortunately, by Liberty High’s biggest gossip. It is about a month into sophomore year and so far Clay has managed to avoid being in something scandalous enough to be printed on the pages of the infamous ‘Lost and Found’ zine’, however there was no way he was going to avoid this one. It started about a month ago, this… thing he had with Tony. He couldn’t really put a label on what it was, all he knew was that it was fun and exciting, and Tony sure was a goddamn excellent kisser. So excellent, in fact, that Clay decided that waiting until after school to put his mouth on the other boy was far too long a stretch to go without.

Destined Pt.2 {Poe X Reader} Soulmate!AU

A/N~ I would first like to thank all of you patient people out there who read the first part and encouraged a second. This is dedicated to you guys! I also need to thank @faestae for being such a rad friend and helping me out with this. Part two wouldn’t exist without her! Surprisingly, I’m actually pretty proud of this piece of writing. It took a long time to get done but here it is and just in time for Star Wars day! I hope y'all enjoy it! (And yes. There will be a part 3)

Part One

When you were younger your mother used to tell you stories about her soulmate, your father. The best story, at least in your opinion, was the story of how they met. As you’d sit at her feet grasping onto each word she’s said, you liked to imagine what it would be like when you met your own soulmate. And this? This definitely wasn’t it.

You stood in the middle of the street as a rock in a stream. Unmoving as people flowed around you, some grumbling at the inconvenience of having to take a few extra steps. Everything swirled around you in a blur of indistinguishable shapes and colors. It had to be him, your soulmate.

“Are you alright dear?” The woman was frail and spoke softly. It’s the same old woman from the market. You looked down at her trying to focus on the words she’d said. “Are you alright?” She placed a hand on your arm this time.

Were you okay? You didn’t feel okay. Honestly you felt ready to throw up. “I’m fine, but-” you looked around at the passing faces, not one of them recognizable.

Dialogue in novels

There are barely any books without any dialogues. A story has to have the perfect balance between action and calm moments and a simple conversation is an easy way to give your readers a breather between action packed scenes. Characters can develop the story arc or even themselves by exchanging a few words with each other, but the catch is that it can be very boring for a reader when poorly executed.

First you have to understand how a basic conversation works between people. A tv-series, movies, other books, or even a conversation you had with your neighbours can be a good reference. When thinking of a conversation ask yourself why the conversation is happening and how it progresses the story. Everything that happens in your story should happen for a reason and dialogue is no exception.

If you are not sure if your dialogue is impotant, just write it! You can always cut it out of the book if necessary.

  • The first step in the actual writing is the easiest: Just do it. Usually we do not think too much about what we say when talking, unless the mood calls for something else. Try to write the entire conversation in one sitting, as your characters don’t suddenly walk away either.
Don’t worry about body language and other details too much, yet. Instead focus on the words itself. You can even write it as if you were writing a script or screenplay.

AIDEN: What do you mean you’re a serial killer?
ABIGAIL: I killed two people, that makes me a serial killer, right?
AIDEN: Does it?
ABIGAIL: A series, multiple, two. I killed multiple people – two – I am now a serial killer.
AIDEN: Would you call a TV-show with two episodes a series?
ABIGAIL: A mini-series, I am a mini-serial killer.

  • The next step is to analyze your story. How fast are the characters talking? How do they talk? What are they feeling and how do they convey it in their conversation. The above dialogue is a short goofy conversation that could fit in a comedy/crime story. It is a relatively fast paced conversation and both characters are surprisingly calm, considering the topic. If you want you could make notes with the excising “Script” if you chose to do it that way. You can make notes about the emotions or when they take a break in their sentences. It is important to pause in their conversation to write about their emotion and/or body language when the character naturally pauses too, otherwise you are slowing the conversation down.

AIDEN: What do you mean you’re a serial killer?
ABIGAIL: [PAUSE] I killed two people, [PAUSE] that makes me a serial killer, right?
AIDEN: Does it?
ABIGAIL: A series, multiple, two. [PAUSE getting slightly more desperate] I killed multiple people – two – I am now a serial killer.
AIDEN: [PAUSE] Would you call a TV-show with two episodes a series?
ABIGAIL: A mini-series, [PAUSE] I am a mini-serial killer.

  • The next step should be fairly easy, if you have figured out the natural flow of the conversation. Now you simply have to convert it to the style you want to use in the novel. Set the mood and remember that it is better to show how people are feeling than to tell the readers!

I did not expect the shriek that escaped Aiden’s mouth.

“What do you mean you’re a serial killer?” She jumped up from the wobbly chair with enough force that the candle on the table tipped over.

I stayed in my seat, watching the burning candle roll over the table, but I made no effort to stop it.
“I killed two people,” I said. “That makes me a serial killer, right?”

“Does it?”

“A series, multiple, two.” I continued. “I killed multiple people – two – I am now a serial killer.”

Aiden slowly reached for the candle.
“Would you call a TV-show with two episodes a series?”

I hesitated.
“A mini-series,” I stated. “I am a mini-serial killer.”

  • The most important step is to keep re-reading the things you have put down. Are there things that don’t work? What does work? Change what you do not like (in a new document) and keep comparing the changes you’ve made. Does it improve the flow?

Keep practicing dialogue. Use prompts for inspiration and just write everything that comes to mind. Keep reading other works too and ask yourself why the writers chose to do it like this and how it could be improved. Never give up! :)

Cosplay Music Videos are Awesome

In case you didn’t know, Cosplay Music Videos or CMVs are a thing, a really awesome thing. I went on a CMV youtube spiral recently and figured I’d share a few that particularly struck me so if it’s your cuppa you too can have all the feelings.

Like Sad Feelings

[SNK CMV] - Say Something by Lume Cosplay

Attack on Titan to the song ‘Say Something’, you know you’re gonna cry. This is an amazing display of how a CMV can take an idea that just wouldn’t work the same way in a fanvid. The use of stillness is really effective here. Lovely.

[NGE CMV] Beside You by WaffleswithSpain

Neon Genesis Evangelion, another one which I ended watching go ‘wow, ouch’. This vid uses the editing of the video to do some neat story telling and visual metaphor. There’s so much craft out there in CMVs I’m impressed, it’s so cool!

Or Happy Feelings!

[No.6 CMV] Made For You by WaffleswithSpain

A modern soulmate AU for No.6, don’t mind if I do! CMVs can totally fill a storytelling/fic kind of joy too. I’m really excited for CMVs that execute telling a story well. It’s really hard to do! Some CMV creators have clearly figured out what works and it’s a pleasure to watch. I look forward to finding more vids like this as hopefully more CMV creators try outside-of-canon story telling.

Viktor x Yuuri - All I Want for Christmas (Yuri!!! On Ice CMV) by Uptown Cosplay

Yuri!!! on Ice, Victuuri, unsurprisingly this is my favorite of what I’ve been watching (how many times have I watched this CMV, lets just say lots). I can’t help grinning every time. Characters I ship going on adorable dates? Yes A++ The nuance of the acting too! (like all of these videos have lovely acting, possibly I have too many feelings about Victor’s eyebrows and slight smile at the beginning? Also Yuuri’s excitement).

Something I love about CMVs, which the YOI vid hits for me particularly well, is this telling of queer stories. Fandom talks a lot about representation and fic obviously is pretty great at taking a source and telling non-straight stories with it. But there’s a pretty obvious lack of music video/movie mediums telling queer stories. CMVs are this wonderful treasure trove of happy adorable queer relationships and it’s just so joyful to me. Not every CMV is that, there are also angsty queer ship CMVs and those are great too!, but I’ve found that the happy ones to be surprisingly addressing of a need I hadn’t realized was still unmet (I did do that fairly thorough search for official music videos with LGBT content a while ago, which maybe I’ll post recs from soon if anyone is interested).

Anyways, long post tl;dr cosplay is cool, cosplayers are doing some really impressive things in their videos and as a person who likes fanvids it’s a fascinating growing fannish production area. Also, it gives me all the feelings.

Chapter Two: Are you okay?

Word Count: 1437

Notes: I’m giving chapter two a whirl.. Like I said before chapter one was a trial and if at any point I feel like this story is floundering I might just put it to rest so make sure you’re vocal or at least like the post if you want me to continue :)

That evening when Riley returns home from the ski lodge she has a quiet conversation with her mother about what went down. Surprisingly she didn’t cry at all, Riley managed to hold it together long enough to reassure her mom that she’s okay and things worked out the way they should have. The brunette also asks if Topanga would casually mention things to Cory as she didn’t want to make a big deal out of nothing.

After Riley sends her mother away under the pretences that she was tired - which wasn’t a lie as Riley barely slept at all on the bus and was exhausted - she flops down on her bed and for the first time since Lucas sat down with her in the bay window at the lodge, she doesn’t have to try so hard anymore. Riley finally has a chance to let it all out as she dampens her pillows with tears.

Just got back from watching Beauty and the Beast and oh my god???? I’M LITERALLY IN LOVE.

The Beast is a dork, Lefou is adorable and I was so happy for him in the end, and Emma Watson was absolutely amazing.

The scene near the end where it looked like they’d failed to lift the curse surprisingly reminded me a lot of Brook’s backstory from One Piece…

Over all an absolutely GORGEOUS rendition, and a beautiful way to fall in love with one of my childhood favourites all over again <3 Similar enough that it had all the things we adore about the story, but different enough that it kept you entertained, and even filled a few of the plot holes that were in the original animated movie <3

Reunion

@hanny-bananny @arizonalovesher @sithlordalice

“I honestly do not remember the last time I had a weekend off, how do you even spend a weekend off?” you set the fresh cup of coffee in front of JJ “What are you doing this weekend?”

“Hanging out with my boys, I think we’re going to the zoo” she said taking a sip. You guys were guaranteed a weekend off, which was rare. Unless people started dying left and right, in the same city, around the same time, with some more than suspicious similarities you were off.

“That sounds awesome, what about you Spence, any big plans?” Spencer had been reading through most of the flight back home. “I had this high school reunion thing” he said not looking away from the page.

“Had? Had as in you’re not going any more?” you questioned, “Yeah, I don’t think I want to go” he said still concentrated.

“Why don’t you want to go” probably a question you shouldn’t ask. You and Spencer weren’t completely close, mostly because he wouldn’t warm up to you. After months of being of the team, seven months to be exact, he still would not look at you in your eyes. He wouldn’t laugh at your jokes, no matter how much you tried to bond with him, it wasn’t happening.

“I don’t want to see a bunch of people who bullied me for years” he said coldly.

“You’re an FBI agent how is any one going to bully you now?” you asked .

“Everyone is probably married, with kids, a family, I wont fit in, once again” he said refusing to look at you.

“So you won’t go because you don’t have a date?” JJ said.

“I’ll be your date” you said before he could answer her question “What?” Spencer said looking up at you confused.

“If you seriously want to shut these people up, I’ll be your date, Ill go”

Spencer was shocked that you would ever suggest that. “You don’t have to do that.”

JJ was equally as shocked, “Worse case scenario you guys have a fun weekend in Vegas, you should go” she said trying to be supportive.

“I cant think of a better way to spend my first weekend off! Vegas it is!”

After spending the flight sleeping you and Spencer headed to the hotel where the reunion was being held. “Hello, I am here to check in my name is Spencer Reid” the young girl started to typing. “Im sorry but I don’t have anything under that name” she looked up at Spencer waiting for his response. “That’s impossible because I reserved a room weeks ago under Spencer Reid” he said confused. “I’m sorry sir, but I don’t have anything under that name”

“Look up Y/FLN” You said over Spencer shoulder “Oh yes, I have a reservation for that, unfortunately since it was made so late I only one room, queen size bed available”

“That’s fine, well take it” you said calmly.

“Perfect, these are your room keys, and some pamphlets with some information, you guys are all set”

You took all the information, and grabbed your bags and started walking away.

“You cancelled my room reservation?” Spencer said in an angry tone as you both got into the elevator. “Spencer couples don’t request separate bedrooms, if you want to fool every one of your old classmates, whom are by the way staying at this very same hotel, I suggest you be okay with it.” You said dragging your suitcase into the elevator. “Of course, definitely okay with it”

“So I was thinking about it and I am just going to attend the dinner tonight, after wards you’re free I’ll be flying back home” Spencer said watching you as you unpacked part of your suitcase.

“What? Why would you do that?” you said concentrated on your unpacking. “Because this is ridiculous and although I appreciate you doing this it isn’t necessary” he sounded annoyed.

Spencer was reading a book as he waited for you to be ready he was in his usual attire, you decided to spice things up, you walked out of the bathroom, having finally finished your make up. Spencer closed his book and his mouth dropped when he saw you, wearing a tight back dress, with black heels, simple, elegant, a small diamond necklace around your neck. “Alright let’s get this show on the road” you said grabbing your clutch and cell phone. You both walked into the elevator Spencer pressed the ground button “You know in order for this to work, you’re going to have to pretend to be in love with me” you said laughing. “Pretend, right, got it” Spencer said in a serious tone.

The evening actually went better than you could have imagined. You spent the night chatting with everyone, telling crazy stories about the BAU, embezzling them just enough to make Spencer sound like a hero, which he had been plenty of times. Spencer continued to make sure your glass was never empty. Everyone’s eyes were on you both, and surprisingly Spencer had been dealing well with the situation. He held your hand when you walked, brushed the hair out of your face, threw his arm around your shoulder, and even kissed your cheek. You loved every minute of it, it felt so natural, so right, nothing felt forced, or rehearsed.

It had come to the end of the night, Spencer could tell you had way too much to drink. He held your hard as you walked to the elevator, once you were inside he pressed the number four. You rested your head on his shoulder, until the elevator doors opened and he led you to your hotel room door. You took off your shoes as soon as Spencer opened the door, and stumbled over to the bathroom.

When you walked out you found Spencer preparing the couch. “Just sleep with me” you blurted out. “What?” he said confused by what he had just heard. “Sleep with me, in the bed, don’t sleep on the couch” you said clarifying your statement.

“Right” he said stiffly. “Good job out there tonight, pretending you loved me, everyone couldn’t stop looking as us, payback is a bitch”

“Pretending, yeah, good job”

You had enough of his cry cut responses for one night, “Spencer why don’t you like me, I mean for god sake I try really hard, and you’re not even nice to me” you blurted out.

“I do like you” his voice was low, almost a whisper. “What!?” you almost shouted.

“I do like you Y/N” he repeated “Just not like this”

“What does that even mean?” you were confused.

“I like you, I like you, like you, not just as friend, or co worker” he said unable to look at you. As soon as you processed what you had just heard you walked right over to Spencer pressing your lips against his. His tongue making his way into your mouth, yours reciprocating its movements. You couldn’t believe this was happening. “You could’ve just said that months ago” you said pulling away from him.

“Well I am sorry I am late, but I’m pretty crazy about you”
