I swear right now in the room I’m in there’s a commercial playing with a music line that sounds like the Jaws theme sped up.

anonymous asked:

any eXCITING ideas to put into a summer bucket list? (im like super boring so i thought i could ask the queen hehe)

i have two guesses who you are kind anon

hell yes i do let’s go! idk if you’d call these “exciting” but those are the things that have been on my own summer bucket lists before. if anyone wants to add anything, please do!

OUTSIDE AND TRAVEL

  • keep a travel journal!
  • send postcards to your friends (and maybe teachers you like, they’ll love it!)
  • try a new item of food!
  • explore some place you’ve never been to (doesn’t have to be far. maybe take a walk in a park you’ve never been to, or visit a museum!)
  • eat ice-cream and maybe try a new flavour (or make ice-cream yourself!)
  • try a new sport! for summer, try paddling/surfing/diving or if you’re not into water: tennis/golf/archery/outdoor yoga
  • watch the sunset
  • have a BBQ
  • go to the beach (if you can) or to a lake
  • go to a concert
  • breathe in different kind of airs (sounds stupid, but i think it’s kinda cool. salty air at the seaside, fresh air after it rained, breezy air in the mountains, the smell of flowers on the fields…)
  • visit a place where one of your favourite books takes place (or where the author is from)
  • talk to someone in your target language
  • plant something in your garden! flowers, herbs, vegetables or a little tree
  • instead of taking a photo, draw or paint a scenery/landscape that you see
  • try a new restaurant or coffee shop
  • wear your favourite dress/shirt/pair of shorts/jeans
  • cycle somewhere!

INSIDE AND RAINY DAYS

  • learn how to cook some new meals!!
  • bake some cute cookies
  • rewatch your favourite series - but maybe in another language to add a little challenge?
  • write a story/poem/oneshot (doesn’t have to win the nobel prize, but it’s relaxing and entertaining)
  • take a walk in the rain!
  • declutter your room while listening to some cool music
  • learn a new piece on your instrument
  • movie marathon!
  • learn the basics of a new language (if irl ones are too boring, try elvish or klingon)
  • build a fort
  • make flower-crowns or anything else you like
  • braid your hair (if that’s possible) or learn how to braid it in different styles
  • get to work on your tbr pile
  • if you don’t have one, here’s a list of great books by @areistotle
  • make milkshakes or fruit salad
  • redecorate your room
  • fix/redo your tumblr theme
  • backup your phone and computer
  • tidy up your bookshelves or any other collections you have
  • watch some new youtubers (or just some of your favs)
  • learn some random shit
  • message a friend you haven’t talked to in a while!
  • have a nice bath with bubbles or rosepetals or whatever you like!

I hope this is what you had in mind - have a great summer! :)
