Apatoraptor is a recently named genus of Oviraptorosaur from the Horseshoe Canyon Formation in Alberta, Canada. It lived around 74 million years ago, in the Campanian age of the Late Cretaceous. It is known from a fairly well preserved partial skeleton and skull, and it had quill knobs preserved on its arms. Though phylogenetic bracketing would imply that it had wings already, it’s always nice to have confirmation. It probably used its wings for display to mates, as Oviraptorosaurs were incapable of powering flight. It was two meters long and probably weighed about 180 kilograms. Being in the Horseshoe Canyon Formation, it lived alongside many other dinosaurs, such as Epichirostenotes, Anchiceratops, Arrhinoceratops, Pachyrhinosaurus, Sphaerotholus, Ornithomimus, and Edmontosaurus. Apatoraptor is especially important in helping to better understand the evolution of Oviraptorosaurs in North America, which have a relatively sparse record compared to their Asian relatives.

So my sister @thegamingartlover drew this thing from Elsword and it looks really good but she never posted it. I think she did a super good job but now she’s being very negative about her art and it makes me sad because she’s retreating into shy artist. She doesn’t want her recent art shown off because it’s from an MMO that my family pokes a little fun at but she still does a good job. I ask her to show me her art but she always tells me I’ll “only pick on it”. That makes me a bit sad as I notice the way her art improves but she just never shows me anymore. She’s even worked hard to develop her own style and even though I think it’s wonderful, she never posts. If you could support my sister a little, that would mean I lot. I intend to prove to her that her art means something even if she won’t take my word for it.
Someday I want her to come out of her shell. Let this be the first step-
So she let me look through her notebook and she has some pretty cool sketches in here. I want it to be known that my sister can indeed draw.
She had good material and it’s a shame she hides it.
Just so you can get an idea of how much art she hides. Even in the process of taking pictures she monitored me closely to make sure I wouldn’t look at the “crud” pictures. They aren’t crud at all. I’m rather proud of her improvement.
Sellacoxa is a Styracosternan known from the Old Roar Quarry at Silverhill, near Hastings, in the lower Wadhurst Clay of East Sussex, England. It dates back to about 140 million years ago, in the Valanginian age of the Early Cretaceous. It is known from only partial remains that are similar enough to Barilium that they’re probably the same genus.
