The Arizona Academy for Sorcery Training is carved into Arizona’s Superstition Mountains with a maze of tunnels that link the school so students can move about freely without arousing muggle attention. The academy boasts some of the most powerful invisibility enchantments within the North American wizarding community due to an accidental discovery of one of the school’s entrances over a century ago. Although the tunnel was disguised as a mine, its existence drew considerable muggle attention, which led to the filling in and subsequent abandonment of the tunnel. Unlike the spells and enchantments taught at the Louisiana and Salem institutes, the Arizona academy focuses wandless magic. New students are hand-selected each year by a seasoned Practitioner whose spirit form is most similar to theirs. A significant amount of time is dedicated to determining the objects through which each student will channel their magic, for ill-chosen objects will be ineffective at best and fatal at worst.
