Clark is an employee for TiTAN’s tech business, and has been possessed several years by Alexis, after being in an accident involving radiation. He doesn’t buy the TiTAN religion stuff, but fakes that he does very well.
Alexis had a lot of expectations on inheriting her family’s position, but then when TiTAN forced her planet to give itself over, she got involved with the scavengers, obsessed with getting even. When she was caught, TiTAN’s army executed her rather than try to learn more on where the scavengers are. But one of the scavengers managed to smuggle her one of Wrathia’s left-over potions.
While Alexis and Clark are friendly towards each other, Clark has no special motivations to pact with her. Especially since he doesn’t want to get in a failed pact.
Or that’s the case until Clark’s workplace gets an android by the name Brainiac 5 from a planet recently bought by TiTAN.
Brainy starts out as a very cold individual, assigned to help develop the Gate to Paradise, but then soon finds himself growing close to Clark. As does Clark.
Close enough to the point where Alexis makes him admit to a co-worker that he would smooch the robot.
Wanted to do some nice and ironic heroes - though Sun Ray (based on the most awesomest Grace Jones) turned out pretty fierce ;)
Lord of the Hammers: I’m thinking he’ll be surprisingly feminine and with a smidge of Johnny Bravo attitude. Nothing like an annoying self-absorbed, overly narsicistic superhero. Will he save someone if it means upsetting the ‘do?
Daisy Diamond: the classic feminine blonde heroine. With muscles to fit how hardcore she really is! Nails ready to be broken. Bring it on!
Sun Ray: Probably the actual leader of the pack. You’ll think he’s the worker-bee soldier type. Nope, this lady is all sass and cunning! - obviously in the wonderful deadpan kind of way..
Miss Kitty Fantastic: - yea what would you peg her to be? I’m thinking she’ll not want to be labeled any time soon….
uuuh can’t wait to do up these guys in their civil wear - and of course their antagonist gang!
Ok guys I fucking love Teen Titans Go, I think it is hilarious and the comedy writing is killer and the animation is actually excellent. I was a huge fan of the original animated series in high school, and although I was skeptical of TTG at first, it’s been fun to see the new show taking the characters in such a weird and silly direction. Although, I’m not a huge fan of the new style/character design, but I think it works with the overall feel of the show (and anyway a lot of the background art is super gorgeous.)
ANYWAY, been having fun drawing and exploring Raven recently! I really like the idea of her being powerful/badass in battle, but also a shy/socially anxious prickly nerd who uses sarcasm and grumpiness as a defense mechanism. I also love to draw her with muscular legs because DEM LEGSSS
A few months ago, Harper sat down on my lap while I was working and said: “Can I help you, Daddy?” I said: “Of course, why don’t we start our own project!” (She loooves “projects”!)
So she asked if we could draw all of the Superhero Girls that ever existed! I was totally on board with this plan. She picked the specific girl, then I started out by drawing the basic shapes, the head, etc and Harper did the rest! She picked the colors, drew the hair, the lasso, and especially the dresses. I then came back in and gave it all a little bit of love and detail. (I also drew a little frame when we were all done!
So here is our very first one! (we’ve done about 15 more, and will post them all soon!)
“Wonder Woman” (1918) - Finally got a chance to see the new Wonder Woman movie on Monday and felt inspired to create a poster connected to the era in which the story was set - World War I. Based on silent film poster stylings of the late nineteen-teens, specifically the WWI film Over The Top.
Another art challenge, this time I was tasked to make a Filipino superhero, so I slightly revamped a design I made in class last semester. It doesn’t read much but I was inspired by the Maria Clara dress :’)
I wanted to make a pinay who was reluctantly turned into a partial manananggal, and her cosplay-obsessed best friend naively convinces her to become a superheroine and use her vampiric powers to fight crime!
…That is, until she loses grip of the monster within her.
