Ok guys I fucking love Teen Titans Go, I think it is hilarious and the comedy writing is killer and the animation is actually excellent. I was a huge fan of the original animated series in high school, and although I was skeptical of TTG at first, it’s been fun to see the new show taking the characters in such a weird and silly direction. Although, I’m not a huge fan of the new style/character design, but I think it works with the overall feel of the show (and anyway a lot of the background art is super gorgeous.)
ANYWAY, been having fun drawing and exploring Raven recently! I really like the idea of her being powerful/badass in battle, but also a shy/socially anxious prickly nerd who uses sarcasm and grumpiness as a defense mechanism. I also love to draw her with muscular legs because DEM LEGSSS
Wanted to do some nice and ironic heroes - though Sun Ray (based on the most awesomest Grace Jones) turned out pretty fierce ;)
Lord of the Hammers: I’m thinking he’ll be surprisingly feminine and with a smidge of Johnny Bravo attitude. Nothing like an annoying self-absorbed, overly narsicistic superhero. Will he save someone if it means upsetting the ‘do?
Daisy Diamond: the classic feminine blonde heroine. With muscles to fit how hardcore she really is! Nails ready to be broken. Bring it on!
Sun Ray: Probably the actual leader of the pack. You’ll think he’s the worker-bee soldier type. Nope, this lady is all sass and cunning! - obviously in the wonderful deadpan kind of way..
Miss Kitty Fantastic: - yea what would you peg her to be? I’m thinking she’ll not want to be labeled any time soon….
uuuh can’t wait to do up these guys in their civil wear - and of course their antagonist gang!
My Spider-Man Homecoming poster illustration! Really excited to see the film, hopefully gonna see a good Spider-Man film for the first time ever! I wanted to draw a cool superhero duo poster. I realize Iron Man might not be a huge part of the film but an important one I’m sure, and when I saw his new armour for the film I had to draw that! Be sure to have a look at the rest of my work :D
Maybe it’s just me but I feel like redesigns that are done
for fun or as some kind of personal challenge with no malice attached are
always better than redesigns done for “woke” points or because the artist hated
the original design.
