benkevans asked:

Are future issues of Jill Trent going to be open to submissions like the first was? Or is it going to be just the same artists?

We’re currently accepting submissions on a rolling basis (click here), which means writers can submit story pitches and artists can submit portfolios for review at any time, and we’ll review the submissions as they come in. First-come, first-served.

JILL TRENT, SCIENCE SLEUTH #2 will launch soon on Kickstarter and features new artist Roxanne Bee along with returning artists Ryan Incandenza (with new colorist Liezl Buenaventura) and Michael R. Hall (with returning colorist Frank Barbara).

We’re already in talks with some VERY exciting new artists for JILL TRENT #3 but nothing we can announce yet. :-)

If you want to make comics with us, click here to submit your story pitch or your portfolio for review!

JILL TRENT, SCIENCE SLEUTH #2 — featuring 3 all-new stories by 3 creative teams!

Kickstarter launching in July!

Once again edited by D.M. Higgins, here’s this issue’s setlist!

  • “The Mystery of the Music From Space!” (written by D.M. Higgins, art by Roxanne Bee.) The Science Sleuth must investigate a signal lost in space. The greatest mystery of all awaits — but can Jill make it home in time for her anniversary dinner with her faithful partner, Daisy?
  • “Who Atomized Professor Van Diana?” (written by N.J. Coyle, art by Ryan Incandenza.) A venerated professor crumbles to ash before the very eyes of thousands of scientists gathered at the 15th Ray Gun Convention! Jill & Daisy gather all the suspects in one room for a classic whodunnit — but all is not what it seems!
  • “Fianchetto’s Gambit!” (written by Charley Macorn, art by Michael R. Hall, colors by Frank Barbara.) Amid the fog of World War II, a sinister saboteur smuggles a bomb into the Trent Aeronautics factory. Can the Science Sleuth stay three steps ahead of an evil chess master? The countdown’s begun…

The Superdames Tumblr turns 3 years old tomorrow, and we hit 10,000 followers tonight! 🍰🎈🎂🎉🎁

On the off chance that not ALL of you are pornbots and spamlords, we’ll celebrate both milestones tomorrow with some exclusive news & previews about JILL TRENT, SCIENCE SLEUTH #2.

…and probably also a bunch of images of women punching people.

Jill & Daisy character designs & concept art by Roxanne Bee!

Continuing the precedent set in JILL TRENT, SCIENCE SLEUTH #1, each creative team can redesign and reinterpret Jill Trent and her faithful partner Daisy however they like!

Superdames Comics is now accepting submissions for the ongoing JILL TRENT, SCIENCE SLEUTH reboot anthology or other projects.

Superdames Comics is currently accepting submissions! We’re looking for contributors to our ongoing JILL TRENT, SCIENCE SLEUTH anthology series, and we’re open to other proposals as well. Please note that JILL TRENT stories are currently limited to 8-12 pages and must be self-contained stories (not “to be continued”). We accept both pitches from writers and portfolios for review from artists and colorists.

“FIANCHETTO’S GAMBIT!” (written by Charley Macorn, art by Michael R. Hall, colors by Frank Barbara, edited & lettered by D.M. Higgins, with special thanks to Mig Greengard; published by Superdames Comics)

One of 3 stories by 3 different creative teams in this issue!

Kickstarter launching soon!

crackpotcomics asked:

Is pay involved for contributors to Jill Trent? The project sounds great and I'd love to apply, but in my current situation I couldn't justify doing that much work without a financial return. (Sorry if this's a dumb question, but I couldn't find a mention of pay on your website or tumblr and freelance artists can't be too careful.) Thank you!

All contributors are indeed paid.

FIRST LOOK: early character design & concept art from a secret project I’m working on with art by the lovely Ben Cohen. We have a short story in an anthology comic with a really incredible group of talent that’s coming … TBA.

This is probably the last preview I’m posting tonight. Today was the 3-year anniversary of the Superdames blog and I just want to say thanks to all the followers, supporters, friends, and collaborators I’ve met and worked with through this wonderful medium!

With the launch of JILL TRENT, SCIENCE SLEUTH and the founding of Superdames Comics as a publisher of independent comics, I can say that this past year has been just so wonderful and rewarding and the continued awesomeness of you all just rocks my face off.

Thank you. Here’s to many more. 🍰🎈🎂🎉🎁
