☿ mercury ☿

Aries mercury ~ the mind of mars learns through visualization; it is through action and motion that the senses are stimulated. mental explosions; ideas are immediately verbalized and the head is afflicted with pains from sensitivity and reactivity to the immediate environment; in extremity, this is war ravaging through the mental faculties. communicative abilities are direct, genuine, inventive, passionate, witty and immediate reactions are set-off in the light of the ego. a pioneering mind venturing onward inspirationally, pointing towards new beginnings

Taurus mercury ~ tree roots wrapped around the brain sprouting into blossoms; shows a grounded, firm, unchangeable, traditional, but obstinate mind like that of roots but also an artistic, poetic, youthful and musical kind of old soul like that of the angelic Venusian blossoms, that learns best through the worldly senses of taste, sight, touch, smell, and hearing, savoring life experiences with underlying nostalgia.

Gemini mercury (☿) ~ thoughts and words come and go breathlessly and as fleetingly as rapid heartbeats, matching the swift fluttering of butterfly wings and the quick godly travel of hermes. the mind is keen, curious, clever, intellectual, versatile and overly alert causing restlessness and inconsistency. The speech and approach to others is friendly, animated, humorous and lively, and the transmission of messages from this position reflects a mind driven by logic rather than intuition as well as an urgency for connectivity and an endless quest for learning. childlike wisdom rests here, where there is always a critical questioning of “why” and a constant activation of creative cerebral surges.

Cancer mercury ~ the mind is receptive, nocturnal, emotional, reflective, and is working through an instinctually subconscious level that reacts with immediate feelings. Reality is distorted in magical moonlight, casting nostalgia, moodiness, and nighttime paranoia but gifts the mind with imagination, mother’s comforting soul words and a psychic sense. the lunar mind learns well through absorbing and listening to others. the memories are coated with wistful and bittersweet emotions that come alive with every instant experience.

Leo mercury ~ the heart is intertwined with the brain, making the words true, lively, loving and passionate. solar flares endow the speech with golden words and the mind with creativity and a vivid perception of reality. The sun seldom has a shadow, yet it certainly does cast one; although this position is prone to being domineering, willful, and self-concerned, the solar spirit is proud, dignified, free-spirited, warm, idealistic and glistening with theatrical displays of creative radiance.

Virgo mercury (☿) ~ the cerebral nerves become focused in this earthy domain, yet there is an nervousness over detail; the eyes are equivalent to magnifying glasses that see what another doesn’t. The trickster nature of mercurial hermes burdens this position with repetitiveness, nitpick, fret and hypersensitivity yet blesses the mind with a thought trend that is cleverly witty, practical, alert, investigative, intellectual, systematic and analytical. The maiden’s voice is kissed with medicinal messages, where healing powers drip  from their words and into another’s broken soul lining. The communication is swift and sharp yet shy and timid at first and the native learns well in any given environment if the concentration isn’t imposed with anxiety tugging at the nerves.

Libra mercury- the grasping of reality mimics the justice of the scales; there is an ability to detach oneself from emotional undertones, an internal urge to defend the weak-willed, and an ability to calculate the world through several perspectives. The judgment is clear, diplomatic, impartial and the mind is buzzing with dreamy idealism, aesthetic sense, and able to synthesize oppositions and disputes to middle ground if vacillation is overcome. Makes for a charming and witty chatterer, spilling Venusian sweet song for others to hear.

Scorpio mercury ~ the mind is powerful, sharp, and perceptive of all things unknown working as the master psychologist of the soul. thought course is intensely secretive, willful, intrigued, suspicious, fiercely acute, obsessive, over critical and possesses an intelligent sixth sense. holds unyielding convictions and uses interrogations and investigation to pierce through boundaries and delve into the matters of the psychological, metaphysical, occult and esoteric research.

Sagittarius mercury ~ the spirit has direct contact to the Superconscious through cosmic wisdom, treading through the waters of the universe on a dreamy pilgrimage, the mind filled with shooting stars. The currents of thinking and communication are expansive, moral, skeptical, insightful, inspiring and knowledgeable. The mind is often directionless, impatient and disconnected from the world but sincere, honest and filled with infinite understanding.

Capricorn mercury ~ the messages of hermes are filtered through the child of time where one is reticent in sharing ancient knowledge held firmly in the mind. Saturn weighs heavy upon the perception causing one inclined to intolerance, criticism of the self and others, and sullen sternness as well as an unwilling awareness of one’s own mortality, anxieties and fears. and yet through Saturn the fashion of thought becomes methodical, efficient, logical, disciplined, dignified, concentrative and ultimately crystallized, where the seagoat’s unrest becomes definite and clear from reaching the mountain tops, in due course spawning entry into the sky and beyond.

Aquarius mercury ~ the mind proves to be on a futuristic wavelength where one thinks outside the box, through the box, behind the box, between the box and so forth. There is a inclination to progressive societal matters, making the character good-natured, equal and universal. Uranian electrical currents presents the mind with surges of innovative concepts, intelligent comprehension, brilliant analysis, quick thinking, witty remark, and resourceful intuition yet may destabilize the mind with the spirit of the mad scientist, where ideas and perception are incomprehensible, offensively shocking, temperamental, fleeting and willfully intuned with one’s own perception as opposed to others.

Pisces mercury ~ perception of reality is seen through a dewy gaze beneath the sea’s surface, where the thought shift is molded into a beautiful mist of imagination, empathy, sensitivity, psychic receptivity, and adaptability of environment. The way of speech is poetical, wistful, and mysterious yet conversely, it is paranoid, misunderstood, vague and unclear. Reasoning abilities are not strong here as the mind works through the emotions and extreme instinctual receptors. Neptunian waters can fill the mind with wakeful dreams where one is inclined to escape into the subconscious womb and yet also creates a visionary trend, where one is inclined to hopefulness, compassion and unlocking healing powers.

In the esoteric sciences, regardless of your choice of discipline, each must find his own Truth by breaking through one’s inner barriers. In the profane world, man’s psyche is divided into two zones: the conscious and the unconscious. In fact, the latter is not unconscious. In man, the unconscious is the super consciousness, the Higher Self, which is permanently in contact with the “Universal Whole”. The necessities of Involution have constructed barriers which in every being separate - more or less firmly - the different levels of consciousness existing between the Higher Self and the physical consciousness. The true initiation, the true aim of esotericism is to first render these barriers transparent and later eliminate them as barriers and reestablish the connection with the superconsciousness.

Developmental Consciousness Spread

- This spread was intended to be open-ended and intuition-based so it will likely produce the best reading with a deck which suits that description. The reason for this is that pragmatic evaluation is useless in the superconscious realm, so you’re going to need your “third eye” to reach up there.
- You can draw multiple cards for positions 3, 4, 5, & 6 because just one tends not to be conclusive or cohesive enough, in my experience. Start by laying out the spread, and if you need additional insight or elaboration, draw more.
- In position 4, the word “why” can be replaced with “if,” and probably should be when you’re reading for yourself. This will not only provide you with more specific insight but it will also elaborate on the nature of position 1. If you wish, you can draw an additional card for “why” after drawing for “if.”
- This spread does better with prior meditation.

The soul is a natural denizen of the realm of light. It is a resident of the superconscious that exists outside of, but subsumes, the conventional three dimensions of space and time. It is not the realm of phenomenology, but of noumenology. It is the state of consciousness beyond waking, dreaming, and deep sleep. It is the state of what the yogis call turyia or the fourth state. It is from turyia that we unfold or descend or are involved in the involution of our world. It is to the state of turyia that we return in our evolution. We find ourselves captured and held prisoner by the curving gravity of these four dimensions that make us mortal, yet always in the deep fabric and essence of our existence we remember our abode in the trans-temporal and the trans-spatial realms of a far grater luminous reality.

”The most basic thing about Tantra is this – and very radical, revolutionary, rebellious – the basic vision is that the world is not divided into the lower and the higher, but that the world is one piece. The higher and the lower are holding hands. The higher includes the lower, and the lower includes the higher. The higher is hidden in the lower – so the lower has not to be denied, has not to be
condemned, has not to be destroyed or killed. The lower has to be transformed. The lower has to be allowed to move upwards… and the lower becomes the higher. There is no unbridgeable gap between the Devil and God – the Devil is carrying God deep down in his heart. Once that heart starts functioning, the Devil becomes God. That is the reason why the very root of the word’devil’ means the same as’divine’. The word’devil’ comes from’divine’; it is the Divine not yet evolved, that’s all. Not that the Devil is against the Divine, not that the Devil is trying to destroy the Divine – in fact, the Devil is trying to find the Divine. The Devil is on the way towards the Divine; it is not the enemy, it is the seed. The Divine is the tree fully in bloom and the Devil is the seed – but the tree is hidden in the seed. And the seed is not against the tree; in fact, the tree cannot exist if the seed is not there. And the tree is not against the seed – they are in deep friendship, they are together. Poison and nectar are two phases of the same energy, so are life and death – and so is everything: day and night, love and hate, sex and superconsciousness.”

Friday Heathen Game (Part 2)

Note: I coudn’t stop. I’ve literally slept at 4 am to keep writing and been doing it since I’ve woke. Continuation to the prompt game. And I just… have no idea, really. It just went this way and I have no idea if it makes sense or not, and I also couldn’t bring myself to finish the smutty part… Oh god, just… Sorry. hahahhaha.

PS. This isn’t my first language. Sorry for any mistakes.

They walked strangely trough the campus, Ivar refusing to let go of her hand all the way since they left the small exit path of the race track. (Y/N) had put a coat over her gym clothes, but her red eyes were clear to anyone who cared to look more closely. She believed that her red nose and swollen face were not discreet, and the thought that someone could see her that way while walking hand in hand with Ivar made her pull the collar of her coat up a little higher.

- Are you cold? - His question surprised her, though it was not stranger. Ivar was an observer and he paid attention to the small details, one of the things she appreciated in him. He noticed the small things, like a new outfit, haircut or even a new wrinkle of worry on her forehead. It was hard not to like someone who noticed you, was one of her first impressions. They walked in silence all the way, and she paid no attention to where they were going, just letting him take her. When they got to his car, he opened the door and waited for her to be seated inside the car before heading for the driver’s door. Something told her that he was still afraid she would run away at some point, ignore him again as she had been doing in the last weeks and then disappear, or something. The thought drew a small smile from her, for to imagine that he was worried that she would run from him was like one of those things that you find funny because it’s absurd, all the while wanting it to be true. He turned on the heater when he started the car, and they were silent for a while as the car purred and heated. Feeling suddenly sweaty and sticky, (Y/N) opened the coat she wore. The small noise of the zipper broke the concentration of the man at her side to the point where Ivar looked at her, his eyes so full of emotions she could not distinguish that for a second she had the urge to apologize - without knowing why. She almost felt herself uttering the words, her mouth parted with a small sigh, until he broke eye contact and started the march, using a little more force than usual, accelerating to the point where the wheels screamed as he began to drive. (Y/N) preferred to remain quiet, first because what the hell was she going to say? And second because, honestly, she never had a full idea of what Ivar was thinking, and this moment was no different. His expression had returned to that blank it had as he watched her run and the only thing that contained any hint of his feelings was his eyes, and at that moment she honestly did not feel ready to face them.

Then she sank into the passenger seat, feeling crushed by his presence in the small space, completely still until they got wherever they went.

Pluto shows Legacy and while I’m proud to be a part of the Sagittarius in Pluto generation, where we will be known for our profound visionary and prophetic sense, superconscious intuition, hungry search for intelligence and Ultimate truth, lone wanderers unable to secure a home in the outer world but finding it through inner discovery, repulsion of dehumanization and global fraudulence, fierce ethical principles, passion for language, diversity & life…I am a bit embarrassed that we are also the generation who has a Legacy in meme usage, conveying our serious political, moral and philosophical messages across with inappropriate humor lol

Don’t Be Afraid of Change

Everything is in a constant state of change. The atoms in your body and everything around you and even the entire universe is never the same from one moment to the next. There is no state of being or plane of existence that is ideal and constant. If you believe in heaven, even that is in a state of change.  Isn’t this a freeing thought?

In Sagittarius, there is a strong sense of justice despite popular belief; Sagittarius has ascendency over the 9th house of law and legal principles, ethics, morals, and expansive understanding that derives from Jupiter, also known as the Superconscious Self. There is a lingering of the stigma of Sagittarius, the “immature, foolish and irresponsible” Sagittarius, and it is not entirely untrue, I am not here to debunk anything, yet the Sagittarius who is open to growth tends to value a more ethical personal truth and a higher purpose. The arrow shot by the centaur is representative of a higher calling, it sweeps far and wide into the universe, symbolism of expansion and self-discovery, and therefore self-growth that reaches the Superconscious being. There is no foolishness, immaturity or irresponsibility in this version of Sagittarius, only the totality of wisdom. Jupiter is a charitable, joyful, and generous planet and this expresses through Sagittarius; seeing injustice does not sit right with a person who generally has a giving, good-natured, and tolerant approach towards others.

Of course, with Jupiter, there is a problem with excessiveness: while Sagittarius can be lawful and genuine, this can turn around into taking justice into one’s own hands, in due course causing recklessness, insincerity, and willfulness, as this is a sign that may abide solely by arrogant or self-interested inner philosophies. “My way is The way” is the motto of a Sagittarius unwilling to separate themselves from their superior judgment and inflated ego.

Jupiterian knowledge rests inside Sagittarius and gives an aura of altruistic sense and cosmic-consciousness; in Sagittarius we see the direct functioning of the higher mind. The advanced faculties of the Jupiterian perception seeds a spiritual, idealistic and an insightfully intuitive individual, who is ever-questioning of the universal workings of life. The constant questioning of divinely unknown matters also gives birth to the skeptic nature of Sagittarius, but it is a cycle; a skeptic asks questions and does everything in their power to find and understand the answers. A skeptical Sagittarius who does not seek answers to their critical questions is stuck in Jupiter’s Great Red Spot, where an eternal storm is brewing, symbolic of internal frustration and directionless pursuit. Sagittarius can also get lost in daydreams of far away and romantic voyages just as much as their Jupiterian counterpart, Pisces, gets drunk on escaping the mundane…they are the romantics of life; the visionary soul who has a love for life’s humor, mysteries, and other delights as well as an urge to learn all that life has to offer, the arrow keeps gliding far & wide and further.

Supernatural Abilities

It is the ability to move or manipulate objects with the mind. Examples of psychokinesis could include moving an object, levitating, and teleporting.

There are written accounts and oral legends of events fitting the description of psychokinesis dating back to early history, most notably in the stories found in various religions and mythology.

In the Bible, Jesus is described as performing various miracles that have been described by parapsychologists as psychokinesis, such as turning water into wine.

Mythological beings throughout history, such as witches, have been described as being able to levitate people, animals, and objects.

Telepathy is the ability to communicate with others with the mind.

An individual is aware of the danger to the other person from a distance. Instances comes in different forms:

  • Dreams
  • Visions
  • Hallucinations
  • Clairaudience
  • Words that appear in the mind

There are several forms of telepathy:

  • Latent telepathy, formerly known as “deferred telepathy”,  is described as the transfer of information, through Psi, with an observable time-lag between transmission and reception.
  • Retrocognitive, precognitive, and intuitive telepathy is described as being the transfer of information, through Psi, about the past, future or present state of an individual’s mind to another individual.
  • Emotive telepathy, also known as remote influence or emotional transfer, is the process of transferring kinesthetic sensations through altered states.
  • Superconscious telepathy involves tapping into the superconscious to access the collective wisdom of the human species for knowledge.

Clairvoyance is the transfer of information without the use of the senses – it differs from telepathy in that there is no transfer of information from one person to another. Clairvoyants often say that the information comes from the spirit world. A related ability is called Clairaudience – which is the ability to internally hear information that is passed from the dead

Clairvoyance is also the ability to see ‘the hidden world’, with the belief of being able to see the fae

Some crystals are believed to help develop the gift of psychic vision:

  • Dumortierite - it clears mental fog, enhances concentration, and unblocks energies.
  • Labradorite - it is an inter-dimensional stone enhancing clairvoyance, telepathy, communication with spirit guides, psychic abilities, access to Akashic records, past-life recall, and increasing “coincidence control”, self mastery, inner awareness, creative expression, and psychic protection.
  • Angelite - to connect with the 'unseen’ realm.

It is the ability to “read” information from objects. Supporters assert that an object may have an energy field that transfers knowledge regarding that object’s history.

This is the ability to foresee events. It can also be seen in dreams.

Users have the ability to foresee possible futures and observe what may happen. As knowledge of the future invariably causes that future to change, visions of the future are subject to frequent shifting. While not being able to select futures or travel through time, these visions may assist in possible courses of action.

It is the alleged ability to be in two places at the same time. St Pio of Pietrelcina, the famous stigmatic, was said to have this ability. It is said to be a physical, rather than spiritual ability, which makes it different from astral projection. Friends of Aleister Crowley, the occultist, claimed that he had this ability, though in situations were he was meant to have bilocated, he was unaware of it. Although it is uncommon, bilocation is an ancient phenomenon. It is claimed to have been experienced, and even practiced by will, by mystics, ecstatics, saints, monks, holy persons, and magical adepts. This is also normally the explanation given for the tales of people appearing to loved ones just prior to their death.

Because for me, that’s the point of doing any of these substances… is to have closer contact with God, or closer contact with Spirit, or primordial awareness– whatever name you want to give to the sort of boundless ground of primordial presence that we are each an extension of. And it’s also to reacquaint you with that mystic reality… you know, to reassure you that there are infinite dimensions of awareness. I always think of those states as, “Here’s your teaching. Here’s what you need to work on.” It’s like your unconscious or your superconscious is giving you an assignment: “You have to see this now.”

Hatha Yoga- Balancing Energies

Hatha yoga, coupled with ayurveda, regulates the heat of the body, and it is the heat of the body that prevents and wards off disease and all health problems. Therefore, Hatha yoga combined with Ayurveda, which balance the energies of the entire body, should be practiced throughout one’s lifetime for health and well-being.

From the hatha yoga’s perspective, it is the heat that destroy germs. It also relaxes the muscle tissue and harmonizes the central and sympathetic nervous system.

Hatha yoga and ayurveda working together, also produce heat in the body. There is a formula for increasing the heat of the body in winter and reducing it in summer. When people are discouraged or depressed, the heat of the body goes down. When they are angry and excited, the heat of the body goes up. This is an unregulated heat, guided by emotion. When we eat certain foods, the heat of the body goes up. Other foods make the heat of the body flutuate. This fluctuation has its corresponding effects on the moods and emotions.

It is the regulation and balance of this heat that hatha yoga and ayurveda seek for a healthy and productive life. Acupuncture and massage are also a part of hatha yoga, a part of the same science of ha and tha. Acupuncture, which also works directly on the nervous system, is a refinement of it, as is moving the pranas of the body through tai chi chuan. Hatha yoga does not end with the hatha yoga asanas. All the rest are part of it, as are hot and cold baths, mineral baths, hot sand and proper foods.

When ida and pingala are balanced, the sushumna is activated. Hatha yoga balances the ida and the pingala because it balances the entire body. When the ida and the pingala are balanced, the devotee is very present. He or she is not conscious of the past, not conscious of the future. Many take the activation of the sushumna as the cultivation of kundalini. Sushumna is the spiritual force. It is also the healing force, the primal energy, not only within the physical body, but the astral and mental bodies as well. All self-healings are done through the sushumna current. It is neither hot nor cold. It is of itself, unto itself, ever present. It gives the all-pervading feeling of the now consciousness. It is raja yoga practice that awakens the Kundalini and guides its journey through the chakras. The kundalini permanently alters consciousness by slowly expanding it into superconscious realms. It is the hot fire that burns cold, that cuts through the force centers which the sushumna holds together and energizes.

A great peace pervades the seeker, a feeling of being in the now truely, happiness, content—but there is no altering of consciousness.

Through the sushumna current, the energy continually flows down through the top of the head to the base of the spine. We could say the sushumna is the purusha force, the soul force. It is where the jiva lives in the physical body.

By K.Nagori

O Father, my little raft of meditation is buffeting furious storms of distraction. On this boisterous mental sea I am yet heading toward Thy shores. Master Mariner, come, take charge of my boat!

Mental Ship of Concentration

The devotee who knows the art of systematically destroying delusion practices evenmindedness even in regard to his spiritual endeavors. A few years of deep meditation gives the devotee wonderful glimpses of divine joy, but this should not make him presumptuous - he has not yet reached the final beatitude! Many devotees become self-satisfied with the superconscious joy of the soul and with beholding a few astral lights and make no further deep efforts at meditation; thus they fail to project their consciousness on the omnipresent joy and light of the Spirit.

Neither should a devotee who meditates regularly but who finds himself battered by a sudden storm of subconscious restlessness become discouraged nor stop making renewed efforts at deeper meditation and God-contact. Until one is anchored in the Infinite, he must valiantly and evenly race his mental ship of concentration on the calm or rough seas of inner experiences. A yogi whose mind is free from the waves of temporary mental elation, sadness, or emotional disturbances finds within himself the clear reflection of Spirit.
