Do you have a master post about cleansing methods?

I hadn’t made one yet, not like the rest of my lists on my page or the ones floating around in posts, but I can throw one together here super quick. It won’t be, like, every cleansing post I can find after hours of searching, but it should be adequate enough.

Cleansing and Purification Masterpost
(For your space, yourself, and other objects)

You can find an old version of this list (which might have broken links) over at @thesigilwitch, [here].

Some simple methods of cleansing:

  • lighting a candle and letting the light / fire cleanse the space
  • lighting a cleansing incense (like sandalwood)
  • opening a window and letting the wind sweep in and clear out any negative junk
  • ring a bell or hang wind chimes to encourage positivity / happiness and dispel negativity
  • you can make a simple cleansing spray with warm water, sea salt, and rosemary, but the salt may leave a bit of a residue on some surfaces
  • enchant a cleaning product so that as you clean your room you are also cleansing it
    • additionally, add a bit of vinegar or lemon juice to cleaning products and then enchant them for a further boost

My library computer time ran out doing this list - it took me almost an hour. I’m still not done, but I hope it’s adequate… for now. :p

Super Simple and Customizable Room-Cleansing Floor Salt

A little something to sprinkle over the floor to clean and freshen a room. Works for cleaning before a ritual or just as part of a cleaning routine to maintain healthy energies.

  • Salt
  • Lemon juice or zest
  • Cleansing herbs (I used basil)
  • additional herbs (rose for love, lavender for tranquiltiy, etc)

This can be made with salt and any mix of cleansing herbs. I used the recipe above for this photo, but other suggested herbs include mint, rosemary, sage, black pepper, and pine needles for cleansing.

I added lavender, as this was for a bedroom. I might also suggest chamomile, vanilla, and roses for a bedroom mix.

For a productivity room like an office, I suggest prosperity and inspiration herbs like cinnamon, ginger, jasmine, etc.

Grind salt, herbs, and lemon together in mortar and pestle, working in a counterclockwise motion. Charge the mixture with the intent to cleanse the space however you see fit - chanting, singing, ringing bells, prayer, etc.

When everything is mixed, take the mixture in hand and toss it about on the floor, working counterclockwise again. Let sit for a while - you can leave the room if you wish, or stay and continue your prayers, chants, etc.

Personally, I like to put on high-energy music, and I sing and dance on top of it to charge it.

Once the mixture has sat for a while, sweep or vacuum it up and discard. I like to light a white candle after doing any sort of cleansing to realign energies. Don’t forget to touch up any wards so that the negativity doesn’t come right back in!

Hey treefish, compliments on your sim portraits. I've browsed through your resources and wcif's, but I could not find that beautifull long hair with the pony clipped back, the one you use in your latest summer-y alien girl. Could you give me a pointer where to find that piece of CC?

hey hello!! thanks a million, that’s sweet of you to say, and thanks for looking before shooting an ask! you can find that mega cute hair right here, the clips are super cool and customizable, it rocks. enjoy!

hey, i was just wondering how you made your official illustration site bc it gorgeous.

I used wix :) they have a lot of templates to choose from, and I find it super customizable!

Book of Shadows Binder

So, I am a HUGE planner addict. I have multiple kinds, sizes, etc. Most of them are super customizable too! It occurred to me the other day that since you can add or take out pages super easily, a planner binder would make a great Book of Shadows!

This is my a5 planner. It’s a 6 ring binder, button snap closure and pockets on the left inner side. Can you imagine this as a BOS? Really, I am dying to try it.

You can add so much stuff into these

For instance, this is a plastic pocket I hole punched. I keep stickers in it. There are so many things you could add. Photos that represent the Goddess or God, cards from holidays, the wheel of the year, etc.

I know that with bound books I was always afraid of the commitment because I tend to get annoyed and rip things out or I’m stuck hating how a page looks. This way I can take out and put in whatever I like!

as some of you may know, I’ve graduated from high school but still haven’t been able to find a part-time job yet. That being said, commissions would really help me right now!! :0

✔ stuff I WILL draw:
- humans, gemsonas, etc.
- any and all feral & anthro characters
- Transformers/other robot characters (OC or canon!) (keep in mind I’m most comfortable with TFA and somewhat with TFP bots! MTMTE characters are off-limits for the time being. If you’re not sure your character will make the cut please feel free to ask!)
- Sonic-style characters
- MLP/ ponies (super customizable btw!!)
- mild to moderate gore & candy gore
- small amounts of PDA (hugs, hand holding, little smooches, etc. Simple & cute stuff!!)

🚫 stuff I WILL NOT draw:
- nsfw/18+ material
- Bayverse Transformers/any over-the-top complex robot/mecha characters
- complex armor (think Skyrim, DOTA, LoL, etc.)
- realism/self-portraits
- complex backgrounds

What does base price mean?

base price just means that that’s the starting price for that commission type! It may fluctuate depending on how complex the character is, or it will remain the same!

please feel free to message me any questions or inquires!! tumblr messenger is the best way to reach me!

reblogs/signal boosts would be very much appreciated! thanks so much for looking!!

Spell Directory, version 2.0

I’m not really sure what makes it 2.0, I just really wanted to put that…

This post is ever expanding as I search and find new spells to add, so you will find multiple drafts of it all over the place. This version of the list has around 36 hours of work put into it, probably more, and constantly increasing. Please do not copy-paste this list to your own blog or posts - reblog this post and keep the source. I am doing this in my free time, without any sort of recompense, to help out the witches of Tumblr, and to compile as many spells of as many different types in one place as I can. Please respect me, my work and this post by reblogging it and not reposting / copying it.

And, as a favor to all you mobile users, it’s under a “read more” cut.
You’re welcome :D

Updated 07/01/15

* If you see any of your own spells on here and you would like them removed, please inform me and I will delete them immediately for the next update.

Crocheted Circle Casting

I do almost all my magic undercover, and I had been searching for a way to cast a circle that could be easily cleaned up. This method is super customizable, and can be reused as many times as you like!

You will need:

Crochet Hook

¼ cup Sea Salt
1 teaspoon Rosemary

Access to a stove
One pot of water

I used white yarn for my first attempt. I’m all about color correspondences, and white was perfect for the protective nature of casting a circle. Crochet one long line. I made mine about 13 feet long, but any length is just fine. If you don’t know how to crochet, here is a video that explains it very nicely.

Now you’re going to prepare your sea salt mixture. I used sea salt and rosemary. You could add any (SAFE) herbs to your mixture that you would like, but make sure you do the proper research before you add anything! I mixed ¼ cup sea salt with 1 teaspoon rosemary, and left it in a clear jar in the sunlight for a day to help charge the mixture.

Fill up a small pot with clean water. I used tap water, but you could add any type of magical water that matches the intent of your crocheted circle. Add your sea salt mixture, and stir it until the salt is all dissolved. Then, add in your crocheted yarn. Keep it in the water for 30 minutes at medium-high heat, and stir regularly.

After 30 minutes, take your yarn out of the water and gently rinse it to get rid of the flecks of herbs that will be clinging to it. Yarn dries very quickly, but I left mine in the sunlight for a little added boost.

Go about your circle casting in the way you normally would, but use your crocheted line in place of salt or whatever else you would use to mark the boundaries of your circle.

I’m going to make some more of these with different colored yarn and herbs to match their color association. Let me know if you have any questions!

"Empty the Fridge" Almost Stir Fry

Hey guys! Broke college kid with a hectic school schedule here. I came up with this tonight and it was actually really good and got rid of a lot of leftover stuff that needed to be used.

You will need:
–rice (I used a bag of boil in bag brown rice)

–veggies. This can be anything. A bag of frozen mixed carrots/peas/corn would probably be delicious. I used a zucchini I diced, half a can of mushrooms, half an onion, and half a can of tomatoes that all needed to be used.

–protein of some kind. Also super customizable. I used half a can of leftover chicken and two eggs, but this sounds like it would work with tofu or beans really well if you’re not doing meat.

-seasonings and oil. I used garlic powder, soy sauce, hot sauce, and soybean oil.

1) Prepare your rice (or use leftover/precooked!). I like the boil in bag kind because it’s already portioned out and hard to screw up–you just boil it for like ten minutes, no stirring needed. Drain as best as possible–the less moisture, the better.

2) While the rice is going, brown your veggies in a pan to save some time. If you’re using something juicy like tomatoes, you can probably just wait until the end and dump those in. Dump some seasonings on them if you want and cook them on high heat until they’re kind of golden brown–you want them to be soft but not mushy and a little crispy outside, ideally. If you’re using raw meat as your protein, cook that too. Cut everything small so it cooks faster.

3) fry the rice in the pan you used for the veggies. You don’t need long, just enough time to kind of brown everything together. Add your protein. If you’re using eggs, crack them into an open space on the pan and stir around like crazy to scramble them with the rice. Season with your preference, add your veggies, and stir everything together for a couple more minutes. BOOM. Done.

I liked this and will definitely be making it again! It’s very customizable, and while it does require some chopping and a lot of stirring, it took about fifteen minutes to be ready including prep and probably would have only taken about twelve if I’d used pre chopped stuff. It’s not an authentic stir fry by any means, but it’s a great way to use up stuff, and depending on what you use in it, it’s much healthier than takeout fried rice typically is. I used one bag of boil in bag rice and had enough for two smallish meals or one large one.

Word to the wise: watch how much soy sauce you use and don’t use anything else with salt if you’re using that. Also please be careful when boiling and stir frying–water and oil do jump around when they’re hot.

hey friends who have smart phones, i have two apps to recommend to you that have made my life a lot easier, and maybe they will help you too!

the first one is an alarm app called I Can’t Wake Up!

you can find it here on google play or here on the itunes store.

i have disordered sleeping and i take a medication every night that makes me very tired, so it can be nigh impossible to get myself out of bed in the morning (or afternoon, for that matter). this app is super customizable and it gives you tasks that you have to perform before the alarm will shut off - you can do math problems, memory and matching tasks, ordering numbered tiles, re-typing randomly generated text, etc.

my two favorites are the ones that get your body moving: “shake” - shake the phone vigorously until a bar is full - and the “barcode.” the barcode is great because even if you keep your phone right next to you while you sleep it forces you to get out of bed and scan a code (or several) that you’ve chosen previously. i cut mine out of a receipt and taped it behind my bathroom mirror, but you could also use something like a product barcode that requires you to locate the item.

i can’t speak for the iOS version but the android app, while effective, does not have a particularly user-friendly interface - that said, once you dig through some menus you can customize it almost any way you want. if you’re like me, your half-conscious brain will do almost anything to avoid being fully awake, and you can’t rely on willpower to get you there. with this you can plan for your own devious tricks by disabling free snoozes or giving yourself awake tests after the first alarm to make sure it worked. once i figured out that i could press an “i can’t find it!” button to avoid getting out of bed for the barcode task the app became way less effective for me…so i turned off that option!

the other app i really like is called MediSafe

(here for android and here for iOS)

i take three different medications at three different times every day, and to remember i used to just set an alarm on my phone’s clock. that sort of worked, but more often than not i would turn the alarm off and then promptly forget about it.

i like this app because the notification noise sounds like a bottle of pills being shook and isn’t similar to any other noise my phone normally makes. it pops up with a window containing the name of the medication and a picture of what the med looks like, which is a really nice visual reminder. if i ignore this notification, it reminds me again continually every half hour (you can set this however you’d like) until i tell the app that i took it.

in the app you can see your daily pill box, track measurements like blood glucose, pulse, or weight if you need to, and you can designate someone to be your MedFriend - a person who will help you remember to take your meds if you forget.

i still don’t always take my meds exactly on time but since i started using this app i only forgot my cymbalta once.

okay that’s all, i know this is kind of a long post but these two apps have been really amazingly helpful for me and i hope this helps someone else too! <3

hey anya, what theme do you use for your blog? or do you have any recs for a blog that actually is able to have a usable search function?

i use the sunny theme by tukut! its available here: it has a working search function, i just dont have it on my own blog cause i dont like the way it looks (LMAO)

more of her themes are available here, theyre all pretty damn solid:

for my version, i edited the html slightly to get rid of the highlight and underline that appears when u mouse over links, but thats pretty much all i changed. if u would like my version, let me know and ill send u that particular code! otherwise, the original sunny version is pretty much perfect. its super customizable, so u can switch around whatever u want and make it just to ur liking.

i recommend tukut’s themes in general, theyre all really cute and u can do a lot with them. the only thing ill say is that tukut hasnt used tumblr (or that blog, anyway) for about 2 or 3 years now, so if you have an issue w her theme where something wont work, ur kind of on ur own LMAO

i havent had any issues with it tho. so definitely check it out! good luck!

Do you know of any affordable dupes/options for the MAC fix+? Or any other sprays that make my make up instantly look settled (like I've had it on for a few hours)?

You can buy super affordable hydrating setting sprays or even make your own!

To make your own you can use any mixture of rose water (soothing, antibacterial) , vegetable glycerin (moisturizing, binding, sets your makeup, you only need a few drops), aloe leaf juice (calming), witch hazel (anti bacterial, mattifying), filtered/distilled water. You can even use essential oils or cold pressed rose oil if you want it to be more moisturizing and more like a treatment. Just keep in mind these DIY sprays expire quicker and only last a few weeks and you want the bulk of the spray to be filtered water or rose water. Fix Plus is basically just vitamin infused water and glycerin. This is super customizable so pick and choose which ingredients you want to include. Also remember to shake before using!

As for sprays you can buy…

Heyy I love your latest fall bujo spread and I want to start a bujo myself. Do you have any tips for me? What to put in it, lay out, when to work on it,, how to maintain? 💓

Hey love! Thanks for reaching out!

I think it’s a good idea to start off your spreads simple so that you can get a hang of the whole bullet journaling system. You’d wanna start off with a yearly overview/full year calendar of all 12 months. If you’re goal driven, add in some pages of long/short term goals. Bujos are super customizable, so I’ve even added in pages of movies I want to watch, books to read, and some personal logs that I can refer back to throughout the year.

For monthly spreads, I start off with a monthly overview which includes events that will be happening, a section for future plans or “to-dos” that don’t have a specific timeline, a habit tracker, and then straight into my weekly spreads. Like I said, it’s customizable so I used to have a page for an expense tracker and one of a study schedule when I was in university.

I just threw a lot of information out to you, but I recommend watching these videos first for more visual help!

The ORIGINAL bullet journaling system explained:

Applying the bullet journaling system for a more modern and customizable taste:
^ She’s my favorite bullet journaler! She has tons of helpful videos and she’s super talented!!

The way I make sure I’m compliant to filling out my bullet journaling is taking time out before I sleep to plan out my tasks for the next day and making sure I’ve completed my daily habits. Also, first thing in the morning I like to look at the overview of my day and keep in mind all I need to complete and make a mental schedule of when to do it all (you can even write it out!) Maintaining and being dedicated to your bullet journal can be a bit tedious, but if it’s something you really want to get into then step into it with an open mind and remind yourself that it’s something that can benefit yourself and your daily productivity.

I really hope this helps! Feel free to ask me more questions! :)♡

Imagine a Claymore video game that’s super customizable, something like Skyrim. You start as a warrior, and the Organization sends you on missions, letting you slowly move up through the ranks. You can control how much yoma power you release, and you can choose to become an Awakened Being, but then warriors will come after you. You can ally with Riful or Isley or Luciela if you want, or just go it alone.

And there’s a vast world to explore, and you can wander around Rabona or visit all the little villages or go north, and it’s super vibrant and pretty.

Instead of a Racecar, would AS!Tori's bed be a unicorn? And when Papy gets his car at the end of the game, I just imagine her getting a stuffy and thinking it's real... ´\_(°~°)_/` I dunno, thought it would suit her...

Well actually Tori’s bed looks like a pink convertible beetle haha. Beetles are round and cute and super customizable, and I feel a pink one would suit her pretty well tbh.
