Quit smiling at me, I can’t stop messing up my sentences when you look at me like that. -with Eggsy? ❤️

a/n; love me some secret pining and friends to lovers @kurtwxgners @mvximoff @paperclipmac @rax-writes @emmcfrxst enjoy some soft eggsy

Eggsy Unwin has been in love with you for about as long as he can remember now. You’ve been best friends since you moved in next door to him at about age seven. After the initial tension and uncertainty, the two of you were inseparable. Twelve years later, that hasn’t changed. He’s still just as smitten with you at age nineteen as he was when he was ten. He’s so unsubtle about it that sometimes he wonders if you know he’s in love with you, if you’re just brushing it off because you don’t feel the same way. Other times, it feels like maybe your feelings for him are the same, that you’re just wholly oblivious of his feelings for you. Either way, he’s never been brave when it comes to you, and he’s made his peace with being your best friend if that’s all he can have.

It’s late afternoon in the summer and you’re pushing his baby sister in her pram through a park. You’re laughing at some stupid joke he made and the sunlight filtering through the trees makes you look golden and his heart feels like it’s swelling in his chest. “Seriously, Eggsy. That was rubbish,” you giggle, looking over at him with a dazzling smile that makes his mouth go suddenly dry. “Honestly, I’m pretty sure I’ve never heard a joke so bad in my life.”

“C’mon love, it was funny! See, you’re laughing!” he protests defensively, grinning at you. You roll your eyes as you laugh and the smile you flash him makes his next words stop in his throat. You raise an eyebrow, waiting for him to continue, but all he can do is stare at you, a small smile curving his lips.

“Was there more to that thought, Unwin or did it stop there?” you prompt him with a fond smile and his thoughts stumble again. “Earth to Eggsy,” you quip and he flushes slightly, laughing.

“You gotta stop smiling at me like that. Makes me mess up my words when you look at me like that,” he protests, not really thinking as the words come out. He can see the slightly stunned look cross your face and then you smile at him again, and he forgets to worry about whether he’s made things awkward.

“I’ll stop smiling when you stop making terrible jokes, deal?”

“Deal.”

So today, a friend and I traveled into the wilderness to witness the solar eclipse. You might have heard of it, idk. Due to circumstances not entirely within our control, we found ourselves about a mile below the summit of a rather substantial mountain at the time of the eclipse, rather than atop it. Still,we had a good enough view over the countryside to get a good experience out of it.

A solar eclipse begins stealthily, with a moderate incursion of the moon across the disk of the sun. It’s almost completely invisible without eclipse glasses at this stage. As the moon creeps farther across the sun, it starts to become obvious in your quick glances at the sun that it’s not the same shape as usual, but even then you could easily miss it and not notice a thing. Right about when the moon creeps about 4/5 of the way across the sun, you start to notice a faint twilight set in. Except it’s not a normal twilight. Ordinarily at twilight, the low angle of the sun leaves most objects in shade, and the few that are lit are tinted the color of the sunset. In eclipse twilight, the sun is still high in the sky, which means nothing is shaded and everything around you starts washing out to gray. The pine haze on the horizon, normally bluish-white, now appeared like dark smoke. Sunlight pinpricks filtering through the trees dapple the ground with sharp crescent shapes instead of their normal round patches of light. It’s creepy as all hell.

This condition intensifies and accelerates for several minutes, until the eclipse enters totality. In about five seconds the scene changes completely, from washed-out gray daylight to nightfall. The sky goes black, Venus appears near the sun. The entire horizon in every direction lights up in uniform sunset colors. It’s light enough to see, but not much more than that. This happens with a speed that is completely unparalleled with any other natural phenomenon. Day becomes night, as though a switch was flipped. The sun itself is transformed, a ring of white streaming rays fading to night, with a circular hole of complete blackness at its center. For a minute or two, everything stands still.

Then, a pinprick of light returns. It quickly becomes a sliver, then a full crescent. Daylight resumes in a flash, and the twilight is not noticeable because of the darkness you’ve just witnessed. The sun dapples on the ground are crescents oriented the opposite direction now, and even they last only a few minutes before normality sets in. Five minutes after the eclipse, the only sign it even happened is the still mostly-obscured sun through the glasses.

Anyway, that’s what I did today.

happy birthday @amorverus! enjoy prince of hell magnus with guns and magic for your birthday ❤️

guns and magic au.

they’d been driving for days, magnus was fairly sure he had lost count of how many. four he thought but he couldn’t tell anymore, not when the mossy woods outside the car had kept repeating and the motel rooms they stayed in all felt exactly the same. they were the hunters now but it felt like they were being watched anyway. it had felt like they were being watched since he put four magic laced slugs into his father’s chest and sent him back to hell where he belonged.

feeling as though the walls had eyes didn’t discourage him though. his fathers siblings and their spies could watch them all they wanted, they could keep an eye on what they were doing by whatever means they deemed necessary. it wouldn’t stop what was coming for them. it wouldn’t stop him and alec from finding them and finishing this for good. six more names, six more bodies to banish. it wouldn’t be easy, but it was the only way.

it wasn’t going to stop them and it hadn’t as they pulled up at the side of the road, magnus slipping out of the car and staring into the thick trees. hazy sunlight was filtering through the foliage and like most forest, it looked both beautiful and inviting, but horribly still and foreboding at the same time. magnus leaned against the car for a moment, watching as alec let excalifur out of the back. alec’s fingers turned white at the tip as he gripped the car door and slammed it shut with a little too much force.

I gasped loudly as the sharp smack of a hand across my cheek woke me up. A hand snaked its way to the back of my head and pulled on my hair, making my head snap up. “Well, look who’s awake.” My eyes opened to see Romeo Parada crouching down to my eye level.  “Y/N Winchester, Prince Jax’s old lady. It’s an honor to have you in my den.”

I belong in the wild to run barefoot through the trees. To feel the green filtered sunlight warming my face despite the cold seeping into my feet from the earth. The Sun God grows weak as winter approaches but the energy of the Godess is ever present. I can feel it in my being as I stand here in the trees. I’ve never felt as close to my gods as I do right now in this moment.

Newbie

Request: How about an imagine were Emma’s daughter is new to Storybrooke. Herself and team family don’t quite get along despite their multiple attempts to connect they just can’t connect with her and she dislikes them. (Mutual disliking among all members and reader). Reader often opts to be alone or will flat out ignore her family in an effort to remain alone and they are always fighting one another. Let’s see what happens

You frowned, looking at the information in front of you. It couldn’t be right, people don’t just disappear. The last trace you could find of your mother was her car at a gas station, filling up the tank, with a boy, probably about ten years old, which would make him around the same age as you now, in the passenger seat. After that, there was nothing, nothing in the past five years. You’d checked everything you could get your hands on in the towns and places that were accessible from that road in the direction she was heading, but there was nothing. There was one town, Storybrooke, on a map, but there was no trace of it online anywhere.

You sighed and opened a new tab, looking for ways to get to Storybrooke from your town. You didn’t own a car and didn’t know how to drive anyway, so that was out of the question. After about half an hour, you worked out that the easiest (and cheapest) way to get there was to get a bus to the next closest town, because apparently no bus went there, and then walk.

With one last look around your foster home, you made your decision and booked a bus ticket. You put everything you owned into a backpack, and zipped it shut. You had to squeeze it a little to get it to close, but you still found it sad how little you owned.

Two days later, you found yourself walking into the Sheriff Station in Storybrooke. You walked up to the desk, and the blonde woman behind it smiled at you. “Hi, can I help you?”

You nodded, holding your bag tightly. “I hope so, I’m looking for my mum.”

The woman nodded, looking through her files. “Where are you from? And what’s your mum’s name?”

“I’m from New York.” You said tentatively, chewing your lip. “My mum’s name is Emma Swan.”

She froze, looking up at you before standing and walking around the desk. “What… what’s your name?”

“Y/N?” You frowned. “Is something wrong?”

She shook her head. “I… I had twins, but one of them wasn’t breathing when they were born, she was my daughter. They took her away, to try and save her, but because I’d put them up for adoption, they refused to tell me if she survived. I’m Emma Swan.”

You looked up at her, and then you felt your eyes fill with tears. “Why did you abandon me?”

“I wanted to give you your best chance. I was in jail at the time.” She sighed, pulling you into a hug. “I’m so glad you’re alive.”

You carefully hugged her back, closing your eyes. The hug felt nice, but it didn’t feel like you’d expected it to, there was no feeling of home, and safety.

She pulled back from the hug, smiling down at you. “Let’s introduce you to everyone, alright?”

You nodded, covering your mouth to stifle a yawn just as your stomach rumbled. “Sounds good.”

She rested her hand on your shoulder and guided you out of the station, down to a diner called ‘Granny’s’. “We’ll get you some food, don’t worry.” She smiled, leading you to a booth and handing you a menu. “Order whatever you want, I’ll be right back, I’m just running to the bathroom.”

A few weeks passed, but you couldn’t seem to fit in with the town. The whole fairytale thing was ridiculous too, but as well as that, you were sad, because you were as much Emma’s child as Henry, and yet he got all the powers and the attention. At the moment, you were laying face-down on your bed, with earphones in, listening to music to drown out the sounds of the plan-forming going on.

You had to admit, they were all immensely idiotic sometimes. Yes, whatever this new threat was was strong, but if they all attacked at once, it wouldn’t stand a chance. It also wouldn’t stand a chance if one of them had a gun, but apparently this town frowned on guns.

You jumped, feeling a hand on your shoulder, and rolled onto your back to see Henry smiling down at you. “Gonna join us?” He asked, as you pulled out your earphones.

You sighed, sitting up. “Listen, Henry, I appreciate it, I really do, but, we can both feel it. This town isn’t the place for me. I don’t belong here.”

Henry frowned and sat down beside you. “Maybe you’re right. I’ve noticed how you avoid us, and to be honest, I do the same to you sometimes, but that doesn’t mean we’re not gonna try. You’re family, we don’t give up on that.”

You nodded with a sigh and stood up, walking down to the kitchen where everyone was plotting. “Hi. What’s happening?” You asked, hoping to start a conversation.

“Are you serious?” Emma groaned, running a hand through her hair.

Regina turned and shot you a glare. “Haven’t you been paying attention at all? We don’t have time to be explaining this again!”

“Why don’t you go back upstairs, sweetie?” Snow offered. “I’m not sure you’ll be able to help.”

You nodded, crossing your arms and looking between them, including Hook and David. “I think that might be a good idea, I’ll just grab some food and stop getting in your way.”

“That’s not what we meant-” Emma argued, but you ignored her, going into the kitchen to get something to eat.

“Well that went well.” You sighed to yourself, looking through the cupboards until you found a packet of instant noodles. You made them, put them into a bowl with some spices, and then went back up to your room, making sure the door shut securely behind you.

As you were eating your noodles, you could hear Snow. “Hey Henry, do you think you could help us out with this?”

You sighed, knowing that continuing to listen to their conversation would only make you feel worse, but you did it anyway.

“Could you try this?” Henry suggested, and then his voice dropped, so you couldn’t hear what he was saying.

I bet I probably would have thought of that, if they’d given me the chance. You thought bitterly. They just seemed to disregard your ability because you hadn’t been raised around these fairytales. You wouldn’t have minded if none of your ideas were accepted, but at the very least you felt you deserved to be listened to, you were the Saviour’s daughter, after all.

You stood up and walked to the window, looking out at the sky. It was starting to get dark, and the stars were peeping out. Maybe it was just how bad you were feeling, or maybe it was the full moon, or maybe it was your history of acting on a whim. Whatever it was, you climbed out of your window and then ran down the road. You hadn’t made a single friend in your time in Storybrooke so far, but that didn’t mean you had nowhere to go.

Having spent a lot of time alone in the town, you had developed a selection of hiding spots, but your favourite, and arguably, best, was in the forest, where a tree had fallen down. It was hollow, but the bark was thick enough to provide heat and waterproofing. As well as that, there was moss growing inside the tree, all around the circumference, so it was nice and comfy. Once you got there, you curled up into the moss bed, and closed your eyes. It was nice to actually be apart from them, instead of knowing that they were just one floor away.

You hadn’t realised you’d fallen asleep until you woke up to sunlight filtering through the end of the tree, and a stiff neck. Looking around, you stretched as much as you could within the small space, and then took out your phone, looking through your games. There were no messages about your disappearance, but you hadn’t expected any, given that you’d left late in the evening and it was now early morning. Everyone was probably still sound asleep.

You heard footsteps, and put your phone away, pretending to be still asleep. If anyone gave out to you about disappearing, you’d say you’d been sleepwalking. The footsteps came closer, and then stopped. You could feel someone looking at you, so you tried to keep your breathing shallow, like it would be if you were asleep. After a few seconds of this, you felt a hand on your arm, shaking you gently, so you slowly opened your eyes, blinking sleepily. You frowned at the person, but you couldn’t see them very well because the sun was behind them.

“What happened? Where am I?” You asked, rubbing your eyes and then looking around at the inside of the tree.

“It looks like you sleepwalked your way into my hiding spot.” The person said, and then stepped back from the entrance, so you could crawl out. “What’s your name?”

“Y/N.” You mumbled, looking at the person, who you could now see was a guy. He was difficult to look at, as his hair constantly shifted between a range of colours, as did his eyes. “You?”

He smiled bashfully and ran a hand through his hair. “I’m not actually sure. I just got to town yesterday.”

“What did they call you where you were before you got to town?” You asked curiously.

“I didn’t have a name then either. But I like the name Ash, so you can call me that if you want?” He smiled, putting his hands into the pockets of his trousers. He was dressed in varying shades of brown and green, so if he had been hiding, there would be no way that you’d have seen him.

You nodded, then gave him a friendly smile. “So Ash, if this was your spot, how come you weren’t here when I sleepwalked into it?”

“Oh, I was hunting for some food, but I’m not used to these woods, so I couldn’t catch anything much.” He looked down at his stomach with a playfully sad expression.

You frowned, and checked the time on your watch. “I’ll get you some food, by the time we walk back into town Granny’s should be open, and she does some amazing pancakes.”

“That sounds nice, but won’t someone be worried about you? You did disappear in the middle of the night, didn’t you?”

“Yeah, but no one really cares, they probably won’t notice I’m gone.” You smiled and started walking, signalling Ash to walk beside you.

“But I thought this town was full of heroes, that their whole state of being was to care? That’s the whole reason I came here.” He was starting to sound worried.

“Oh don’t worry,” You sighed with a sad smile, “it’s just me they seem to dislike.”

Ash laughed. “Well you seem lovely, so if they dislike you, you’re either cursed, or just pretending to be nice and are actually super evil.”

BIG BANG, BTS and iKON REACT: To you having a nightmare (trigger warning)

Anonymous said to kpopgroupsreact:
hello can I get a Hanbin (ikon), jinhwan (ikon), seungri (bigbang), gdragon & jimin (bts) reaction when their gf wakes up in the middle of the night because she had a nightmare? It just happened to me right now and I was so scared ):

Awww, I’m so sorry nightmares give an awful after-feeling. I hope this comforts you if even a little bit :)

G-Dragon: You lay still, face turned towards the ceiling. Everything was fine. Your expression calm. Your right hand was enclosed in Jiyong’s left, his right hand holding his cellphone, the light illuminating his face in the dim room. The room was calm, the only movement was the rise and fall of your chest and the soft waves of the curtains as the moonlight filtered through the sheer material. Your eyes were shut, still with occasional shifting. Just as everything outside your mind was calm, everything inside was calm. Calm.

You were strolling down a grassy path, sunlight filtering through the rows of trees surrounding you, a gentle breeze blowing past. As you walked along further, the light began to fade. Your warm surroundings began to darken and the cold crept quickly up as the wind grew stronger. The ground began to spin as you raced through the forest. You couldn’t understand what was going on but you knew something was coming for you. You screamed out as cold, bony hands grabbed your shoulders and you awoke with a jolt.

Your shaky breaths and the dark room made the uneasy feeling grow and you sat up quickly.

“Y/N?” Jiyong’s voice broke the trance and you realised you had been squeezing his hand so tightly that his hand began to redden. “A bad dream?” his soft tone made you relax and you nodded. Jiyong closed his phone and placed it on the nightstand before pulling you in a tight embrace. Although your heartbeat was still racing you felt safe in his arms. A few moments later you could hear a soft hum, and you smiled as his gentle notes lulled you back into slumber. The uneasiness ebbing away.

Seungri: The home was quiet. The room was quiet. The only noise was coming from the office in which Seungri sat, typing away on the computer. Spread on the desk were files filled with business paperwork. The office was adjacent to the room you two shared, and the warm light slipped past the doors and bathed your open door. Seungri stood up and walked into the door frame, blocking the light from the hallway. Just a slither escaped from behind his form and lit your face.

You were sound asleep, resting your head on you arm, face tucked into the little nook your elbow made. The duvet rose and fell with each breath. Smiling, Seungri stepped out of the doorway and returned to his work. Just a few more signatures before he could join you. It was past eleven and he had to wake up early to join the other members in the studio to record. You had made him some tea to help him relax before going to bed. He took a sip and scanned over the document in his hand.

You were in a deep slumber. Both in reality and in your dreams. Almost at once a suffocating sensation overcame you. Something was holding you firmly in its grasp and you struggled. You flailed. The duvet flew off of you and you screamed out.

Your scream made Seungri jump, the tea spilling on his hand and onto the ground and a few papers. He ran out of the office and into the bedroom, finding you sitting, shaking, gasping for air. “Y/N! What’s wrong, what happened?” Seungri rushed to your side, kneeling by the bedside, panicked.

“I don’t know…I couldn’t breathe, and it wouldn’t let me go…I thought I was going to die.” you felt his warm hands hold onto your shaking ones. You tried to breathe evenly. One of his hands felt far warmer than the other and you looked down to see his reddened skin. “Why is your hand red?”

“What?” he looked down at the hand that the tea had spilled on. He had been so worried the pain of the hot beverage hadn’t really registered. “The tea must have spilled on my hand.” he sighed, wincing slightly as you brushed the tender skin.

“Did you not notice?” you found your smile, and he returned it. “You better put that under some luke-warm water.” You placed your hands on his shoulder as he stood up, and pushed him towards the bathroom. Now that he had finally realised the injury he was not going to let it go so easily. His childish squirming and whining at the pain made you laugh, and the uneasy feeling the nightmare had enveloped you in had faded away.

Jimin: You felt soft lips pressing against your cheek and a face nuzzling the crook of your neck. The skin to skin contact made your chest feel fuzzy and your stomach full of that warm, tingling sensation. Jimin was home. You weren’t in a deep slumber. You could never fully fall asleep before Jimin was beside you. His presence allowed you to let your mind escape into the dream world.

However, lately you had been having strange dreams. Not entirely frightening, but they always left you with a bad feeling when you awoke. You were nervous to find out what it would be this time, as you slipped into your subconscious.

You were in your home. Jimin was saying something. But you couldn’t hear him. You couldn’t speak when you tried. Panicking you tried reaching out for his hand, only to find the closer you tried to get the further he moved away. He looked angry. He looked sad. You couldn’t tell what was happening. He was just moving further and further away. The shadows in the corners of your eyes began to grow, enveloping you.

You gasped awake. Jimin sitting upright, looking over you with an anxious expression. His eyes scanned your face, “What’s been going on? You haven’t been sleeping like you used to.” His hands brushed away the strands of hair sticking to your face, his voice was soft and soothing.

“I don’t know…I’ve just been having these weird dreams. This one was the worst.” you took the glass of water he passed towards you, sipping at the cool liquid, calming your nerves. “I couldn’t hear you, or speak, or touch you. You looked upset with me, it made me so distraught…” You explained the details of your dream, and the ones before. Jimin listened silently, holding your hands in his and keeping them close to his face, lips gently grazing your fingertips.

“There’s nothing to worry about Y/N, just forget everything.” he pulled you into a soft embrace, rubbing your back.

Hanbin: Your subconscious was in control as your dreamed. You were in a field; open, with tall grasses, sparse trees, and a dark, clouded sky above. You didn’t know why you were running, but you just knew that if you stopped something terrible would happen.

“Y/N?” Who was that? That voice!

“Hanbin! Hanbin!” you called out, arms blindly tearing through the tall grass, trying to find him. “Hanbin-ah!” you were panicked, lost and afraid. Why couldn’t you find him? Where was he? You turned around as a hand grabbed hold of your arm and Hanbin stood behind you. “Where were you?” you clung to him, shaking. But he didn’t respond. When you looked up you found that it wasn’t Hanbin that you were holding onto anymore. It was a masked figure, with cold eyes that glinted in the dim light and a sinister grin slashed across his mouth. You screamed.

“Y/N-ah!” your eyes flew open and you found yourself trying to pull away from Hanbin’s embrace. You were trembling with fear, and you tried not to look at his face. “What’s wrong? Look at me.” you felt his firm hands cup your face and pull your gaze to meet his. It was Hanbin. It was really him. It was just a nightmare. You let out a long sigh as relief flooded you.

“I thought you were someone from my nightmare. He had your voice and your face, but then suddenly he changed. He was so scary, I thought I was going to die.” you explained, wiping the sweat that had formed at your temples.

“You grabbed onto my shirt so tightly I thought I was going to suffocate.” he sighed, pinching your nose before plopping his head back down on the pillow.

“Yah! I was really scared!” you smacked his arm, he extended it and pulled you down beside him, burying your head into his chest.

“Shhh, you’re too noisy.” he murmured sleepily.

Jinhwan: Your eyes flew open and beads of sweat poured down your forehead. It was that same dream again. You were trapped in a maze-like building. Running to find the exit out but never coming across it. It harvested such anxiety from you that it was hard to fall asleep and for the past few days you could barely manage more than a few hours of rest. Your eyes traveled to the clock on the wall, it was twenty past eleven. Jinhwan lay facing the ceiling, his head turned towards you, still sound asleep. You slipped out of the blanket from your side and wobbled over to his side of the bed and slowly raised the cover before sliding in. You wrapped your arms around his arm, burying your face into his shoulder. A few moments later you felt him move, turning on his side and taking your arms away from his waist and up onto his shoulders.

“Y/N, what’s wrong?” he murmured sleepily into your hair. You pressed your cheek against his now exposed chest, his arms wrapped around you tightly. “You’ve been waking up like this a lot lately. Do you get any sleep?” albeit sleepy, his tone was worried, he rested his chin atop your head.

“I’ve been having the same dream over and over again,” you admitted after a silent pause, “I can’t ever seem to escape.” The truth was, you knew what was bothering you. It was your hectic schedule, the lack of food and rest, and the stress and anxiety that came with your work. You felt trapped in your life, and your nightmare reflected that. But you didn’t want to worry and stress Jinhwan anymore than he already was. It wasn’t fair. But you also wanted to talk to him. You wanted to tell him everything that was bothering you, and you wanted him to kiss you and tell you it would all be okay and that he was here for you.

And bless the angel you were so incredibly lucky to have because that is exactly what he did, minus you having to burden him. “Y/N, I’m here for you. It’ll all be okay.” he kissed the top of your head, melting away the tenseness.

The crunching of the dead leaves underneath Bellamy’s boots mixed with his laboured breaths rung in his ears as he sprinted through the forest. A makeshift spear was gripped tightly in his hand as he ran, his eyes darting around as he desperately searched for fellow survivors and more importantly for *yn*.

He came to an abrupt halt and ducked behind a tree when he heard voices from up ahead. He began to slowly creep forward as the voices got louder and louder until he located the source of the noise.

“Monroe, Sterling.” He whispered in relief as he hurried towards them. They both jumped out of their skin when they heard his voice but were quick to relax when they recognised one of their leaders.

“Bellamy- how are you alive?” Monroe hissed as he crouched alongside the pair.

“We knew the fire was coming so we ran but Finn and I got separated.” He explained.

“What about *yn*?” Monroe asked quietly. Bellamy’s face fell at the mention of her as he swallowed harshly in an attempt to suppress his emotions.

“I don’t know.”
