I love the simplicity of food in the summer: fresh, easy to prepare and simply delicious.

This is one of my favourite meals after a long day sat in the office.

Fresh tomatoes and basil from the farmers market along with sliced Mozzarella, Prosciutto and a dribble of balsamic… no heavy carbs makes this the ideal dinner for those who like to keep it healthy without being too fattening!

My Summer Indulgence is late night patio time. It’s been challenging this summer, which may be why I ordered a cappucino, root beer float and sweet potato fries at the Lakeview… trying to make up for last patio time.

My favourite summer indulgence is to have an afternoon pool party followed by sunset bbq.  A pitcher of Peach Sangria keeps the festivities going. This is the time to use local Ontario peaches, a fruity Ontario white wine, tarragon growing in a pot in the backyard, simple syrup, peach juice and Prosecco.
