After a very successful pop-up shop last fall in Grand Central Station, custom menswear clothier Indochino is back by popular demand, returning to New York City for two weeks with their exclusive Traveling Tailor event.
Currently, Indochino’s online services offer tailoring kits in which customers get to choose sample fabric swatches for all of their products from custom shirts, blazers, vests, pants, and coats to receive in the mail, along with two tape measures for $29. The advantages of the Traveling Tailor are not only the chance to be measured by one of their expert stylists, but being able to see all of the fabrics, along with fully constructed garments in person. There is no better way to choose custom clothing than being able to have the actual cloth in your hands and trying on different pieces to determine what fits your build and style best.
Here’s a look at all of the custom shirt collars offered in a variety of widths and styles. The only gentleman’s warning here is that once you start creating your own made-to-measure shirts and suits, you may never go back to off-the-rack.
Appointments, which can booked online using the link below, begin as early as 8am and are available until 8pm, including Saturday and Sunday. Time slots have already begun to fill up, so do not hesitate to book if you are interested. There is no obligation to make a purchase, so worst case, you can have your measurements logged into their system for possible future orders.
