Black people are actually magic. Not just figuratively/metaphorically but biologically. Do you know how mental is it that we get energy and happiness from the sun? It’s been scientifically proven that black people in colder countries are more likely to suffer from Seasonal Affective Disorder and vitamin D deficiency. What I found interesting is that a lack of vitamin D, along with poor lifestyle choices (bad diet and lack of exercise etc) has been linked to the high rates of hypertension, diabetes and heart disease in the black community.
We are wondrous, celestial, solar powered beings. Deep it. I don’t know man, that’s really crazy to me. I’m sitting on my roof (expect sunny selfies later) and my mood is so good, I’ve eaten today, I’m even feeling social. Things I haven’t felt/done consistently recently because my depression has been kicking my ass.
We owe it to ourselves to give our bodies what they need. While having beautiful skin is great, we have to look after our insides too. Be blessed beautiful black people. 👊🏾
