such as there is one in this movie

You know that last post got me thinking: what is up with the these alleged fans who don’t think Star Wars is funny? Don’t get me wrong: I absolutely am here for the Skywalker Family Drama (because hello I have a pulse) and the Kenobi Sads and the Lore but like…at the end of the day? Star Wars is ridiculous! It’s so delightfully humorous. How do people not see this?! Who are these guys and why don’t they want to actually have fun with any of this nonsense?

I'm so embarrassed that I'm a part of this generation. Like where the fuck have you been, the ASOUE books have been out since 1999. Y'all are dumb a shit

Ur not a real ASOUE fan. Lol leave it to the professionals and back up buddy chum pal mate friend mate chum buddy pal bud

I might delete this later just because I don’t care for content like this on my blog. But these messages just…really made me laugh?

Child. Child. I was a teenager when the ASOUE books came out. I was a bookish kid who’d decided I was “far too grown up” for children’s literature. An absolutely foolish phase to be sure, but one most people go through. You’re probably going through a similar phase right now, judging by your tone.

The Netflix series made me interested in the books. I might read them, I might not. It really doesn’t matter to you or anyone else whether I do.

When someone takes an interest in something you like, you don’t mock them for not being interested in it sooner. What is that meant to accomplish? Are you trying to sour their interest in the thing you like? Why not encourage it instead? Talk to them about your shared interest, nurture it, and the creator whose content you like could gain a new fan.

Listen, everyone—watch the movie without reading the comic. Read the novelization without watching the movie. View the Netflix series without reading the book. Watch new Doctor Who without seeing the old series. Then read the book or see the movie if you want to, but only if you want to. There are more than enough real problems in the world without turning entertainment into some silly pissing contest.

Because truly, there is nothing sadder than considering yourself elite for liking a thing before other people liked it.

Hey @mywaay I love your Road to El Dorado AU

BIG NEWS TODAY, as I’m sure you’re all very well aware.

The title of Star Wars Episode VIII is “The Last Jedi”.

I had a post all ready to go that just showcased the title as debuted by the official Star Wars site, but then decided to flex my shopping muscles and put together this poster. Now, I’m first to admit, this is by no means perfect, but most elements were available to do what I wanted, so here it is.

If anyone has suggestions on improving it, please message me or if anyone would like to take a crack at something similar, I can share the individual Rey & Luke elements, just let me know!

OH, and as some have already noted, the plural of “Jedi” is “Jedi” so let’s not get too worried just yet.

850 Days until Episode IX

587 Days until the Han Solo Movie

As Significant As A Water Droplet

Request: “Hey hun! Sorry to bug you you probably already have so many requests on your plate, but I wanted to know if maybe I could request a Newt x Reader where the reader is super jealous of Newt (maybe he likes Tina or seems to like someone or something) so reader gets hella drunk to kinda ‘drown sorrows’ but it only makes it worse, Newt finds reader, consoles, fluff, smut maybe whatever you’d like! anyways~ I love all of your writing and your blog so much, there’s no one I’d rather ask for a request💛”

The way he looked at her made your insides boil. You felt your entrails coming to your throat as you watched them laugh and joke around, but you couldn’t tear your gaze from the scene. You were playing a game of charades with your friends, like you always did on a Friday night, but something had changed. The state of things had always been this way, you realized. It was just that you were only now seeing things for how they were. Newt and Tina, sat on the floor side by side, clutching to each other as they tried to supress the wild giggles that were tumbling from their lips. The sight was enough to make you get up and leave the room, excusing yourself to grab a glass of water. You stood at the sink, hands clutching the sides of the basin as you watched the tap drip. You focused on the sound, letting it echo through your mind, and tried to make it overcome the sound of cheerfulness that was flooding in from the living room. The tap dripped, pattering on the veneer, reminding you of how insignificant you felt. You were just a droplet of water, falling only to be swallowed whole by the darkness of the hole in the sink.

“(Y/n), honey? Are you okay?” Queenie cooed, coming up to you.

You immediately blocked your thoughts, focusing once again on the dripping tap. But the cackling was overbearing. It was so loud that you felt it starting to tear at your soul, ripping the fresh stitching that you had just finished. The repairs that you had made the last time you were hurt by their shared glances or long hugs. Queenie’s face flashed with realisation, and she came to lay a gentle hand on your back. You hadn’t noticed until she did so that you had started crying; your tears mixing with the splattered remains of tap water, which clung desperately to the surface of the basin, only to slowly roll down to meet its fate.

“I can’t believe I never saw it before.” You croaked, dragging your feet towards the door.

“(Y/n), listen to me, I know what it looks like but I’ve heard his thoughts-“

“I’m going home.” You whispered, grabbing your coat. “Tell them I said goodnight.”
