success and setbacks

Advice to your younger self?

▫️Don’t be so hard on yourself. You have a lot going on in your mind that you can’t fathom, and it’s okay.
▫️You’re stronger than you realise. The way you carry yourself, whether you just burst into tears in front of your friends, or withheld your feelings until you got home, is a sign of the person you will become. I’m proud of you.
▫️Don’t even think about using those hair straighteners (too late, sadly).
▫️You don’t have to have everything figured out right now. Hell, even at the age I am now, I still get lost.
▫️You will lose close friends, and it still leaves a bitter taste in your mouth when you think about it, but it will enable you to flourish. Not everyone is meant to stay.
▫️You’re going to be successful. The setbacks are necessary sometimes.
▫️You give so much of your time and energy to others, and that can make you retreat in on yourself. Remember that you’re living for you, but don’t deny help to those in need.
▫️I know you hate how you look, but don’t go out of your way to change it. I swear you look better now.
▫️One day you’re going to be so sure of yourself, so annoyingly in love with who you’ve become, that you won’t remember what it took to get there. Tbh, I’m still working on it.
▫️Be yourself, whoever that may be.

Tonight is a good night to watch Legally Blonde !

To be fully motivated to start the new week and achieve what you want. To be the Elle Woods of your life :D !

Even if things are hard, you can’t quit. It’s all part of the game. You wouldn’t enjoy your success if everything was getting handed to you.

If you encounter some hard times or setbacks, don’t give up ! You can do it, it will be hard of course but not impossible. The more you focus on why you are doing what you are doing and the amazing results you want, the more you will actually succeed.

Great things take time and hard work. But it will all be worth it in the end, when all of the pain will be over and you’ll be glad you never gave up.

Stay strong my friends, you are doing it for a reason and I can’t wait to see you succeed !

Horoscope and Tarot Overview for May 22, 2017

The Moon stays in action oriented Aries all day, helping us feel confident and strong while we tackle a mixed bag day. Lunar aspects point to successes and setbacks, but how we deal with them is what matters most.
This morning the Moon opposes Rx Jupiter, aligns with Venus and semi-squares the Sun, prompting us to look at ways we can work and love independently. Our minds are a little scattered as we rush from one important meeting or conversation to the next, however we are reminded to take care of loved ones and ourselves first.

Later the Moon squares Pluto but aligns with Aries’ home planet Mars, helping us slow our push forward long enough to intuit if this path we are on is the right one for us now. If we stay controlled but not manipulative, be attentive not aggressive and we will have a productive day.

Tarot Cards of the Day- King of Cups, 9 of Wands and Justice-the message today reflects our need to work more with our hearts and our emotions. People in our lives are more important than the success we achieve or the wealth we accumulate. Overwork can feel like a trap, stay open minded to many possibilities, be clear and concise when speaking and fair in all dealings. Do not take on more than can be handled.

Chakras: third eye, throat, heart and sacral

Crystals-labradorite, blue agate, jade and orange calcite

Aromatherapy: jasmine, chamomile, lavender, orange

Yoga-a strong vinyasa with backbends and inversions

“ I have spent my entire life fighting for what I believe in.

I’ve had successes and setbacks and sometimes painful ones.

[…] please never stop believing that fighting for what’s right is worth it. And so we need — we need you to keep up these fights now and for the rest of your lives.

And to all the women, and especially the young women […]  never doubt that you are valuable and powerful and deserving of every chance and opportunity in the world to pursue and achieve your own dreams.”

To the young people in particular, I hope you will hear this: I have spent my entire adult life fighting for what I believe in. I’ve had successes and I’ve had setbacks, sometimes really painful ones. Many of you are at the beginning of your professional, public and political careers. You will have successes and setbacks too. This loss hurts. But please, never stop believing that fighting for what’s right is worth it.

And to the young people in particular, I hope you will hear this. I have, as Tim said, spent my entire adult life fighting for what I believe in. I have had successes and I have had setbacks. Sometimes really painful ones. Many of you are at the beginning of your professional public and political careers. You will have successes and setbacks, too. This loss hurts but please never stop believing that fighting for what’s right is worth it.

It is. It is worth it. And so we need―we need you to keep up these fights now and for the rest of your lives, and to all the women and especially the young women who put their faith in this campaign and in me, I want you to know that nothing has made me prouder than to be your champion.

Now, I know we have still not shattered that highest and hardest glass ceiling, but some day, someone will, and hopefully sooner than we might think right now. And to all the little girl whose are watching this, never doubt that you are valuable and powerful and deserving of every chance and opportunity in the world to pursue and achieve your own dreams.

Horoscope for May 16, 2016
  • Aries: These last few weeks have been good for your equilibrium. It was a question of becoming a bit more involved in life than usual, and showing what you're capable of. Most likely you had a mixture of successes and setbacks, but on the whole, improvements have been steady. You may have noticed that this or that about yourself needs improvement, but isn't that true for everyone?
  • Taurus: It's never very agreeable to have to question oneself, but this is the main objective of today's celestial aspect. You'll soon be launched into new adventures. Take advantage of the energy generated by this planetary configuration to look within and find the source of some of your failings. This isn't an easy exercise, to be sure, but it will do you some good. Just be honest with yourself.
  • Gemini: The great period of meditation that started for you a few weeks ago is now finished. This means that you are going to have to get back into the real world again! You are going to have to test out how the "new and improved" you operates in everyday life. Get ready. You can expect some real changes!
  • Cancer: If you have grievances to voice about your love life, this is the day to speak up. Indeed, anything less than total honesty won't be tolerated today. You can expect to confront the “other," whether mate, friend, or family member, on the basis of truth and righteousness. Know that you'll command their attention! But be careful that the weight of your words doesn't surpass that of your thoughts.
  • Leo: Are you thinking of switching careers, or traveling to the other side of the world? Perhaps you just want to pull a “Greta Garbo” and stay home with the shades drawn tight. A series of small incidents you've recently experienced at work is likely to inspire the most outlandish ideas. It must be that you sense your need for a change of scene.
  • Virgo: You're likely to find people somewhat irritating today. It's as though nothing is good enough and nobody seems to know exactly what he or she wants. You'll reign supreme within this conflict and dissatisfaction. You may even be asked to step in and restore order. If the conflict is on the domestic front, go ahead. But tread carefully if you're asked to take on the role of sheriff!
  • Libra: You may have felt an oppressive mood hanging in the air when you woke up this morning. Unfortunately, that haze of misunderstanding and conflict is likely to last all day. However, it makes this an ideal time to speak up about anything that's bothering you! Don't be shy about going on the warpath today. If you don't, you're likely to be the target of a surprise attack.
  • Scorpio: The mood you're in today is the stuff of which memorable encounters are made. You'll be wary at first, perhaps even somewhat hostile to someone who dares to intrude on your freedom. Then suddenly you'll realize that this person is someone special, intriguing, and definitely out of the ordinary. Finally, you'll see that the qualities they offer just happen to be what you need most right now.
  • Sagittarius: More than ever before, you'll feel as though it's time to take matters into your own hands and build your future. You're fed up with living on hope and putting your happiness off until tomorrow. Your determination will be so strong that you may even surprise yourself. You'll refine your approach and make it more concrete in the coming days. Today is the first day of a new life for you.
  • Capricorn: This is an ideal moment to address once and for all the questions that have been on your mind for the last few weeks. Pay particular attention to questions that touch on your sentimental life. If you're currently involved in unsatisfactory relationships, don't be afraid to leave them behind. If you're fretting about an unanswered request, let it go. No response is forthcoming.
  • Aquarius: Something is coming to an end concerning your lack of confidence in yourself. You've been hesitant to stand in the spotlight for quite a while now, perhaps feeling you weren't quite ready. Well, no more excuses! Ready or not, you're going to have to push forward. The only thing you risk losing is your pride, and that is your most resilient asset.
  • Pisces: It's possible that the last few weeks have allowed you to become a little bit clearer concerning certain questions you have about your vocation. You may even have a little more clarity about your feelings regarding what you think your destiny is. It would now be better for you to stop thinking about such things and let life take over. You're well armed for this!

The complete text of Hillary Clinton’s speech/email to supporters:

Thank you.

Last night, I congratulated Donald Trump and offered to work with him on behalf of our country. I hope that he will be a successful president for all Americans.

This is not the outcome we wanted or we worked so hard for, and I’m sorry we did not win this election for the values we share and the vision we hold for our country.

But I feel pride and gratitude for this wonderful campaign that we built together –- this vast, diverse, creative, unruly, energized campaign. You represent the best of America, and being your candidate has been one of the greatest honors of my life.

I know how disappointed you feel, because I feel it too. And so do tens of millions of Americans who invested their hopes and dreams in this effort. This is painful, and it will be for a long time. But I want you to remember this: Our campaign was never about one person or even one election. It was about the country we love – and about building an America that’s hopeful, inclusive, and big-hearted.

We have seen that our nation is more deeply divided than we thought. But I still believe in America –- and I always will. And if you do, too, then we must accept this result -– and then look to the future.

Donald Trump is going to be our president. We owe him an open mind and the chance to lead.

Our constitutional democracy enshrines the peaceful transfer of power, and we don’t just respect that, we cherish it. It also enshrines other things –- the rule of law, the principle that we’re all equal in rights and dignity, and the freedom of worship and expression. We respect and cherish these things too – and we must defend them.

And let me add: Our constitutional democracy demands our participation, not just every four years, but all the time. So let’s do all we can to keep advancing the causes and values we all hold dear: making our economy work for everyone, not just those at the top; protecting our country and protecting our planet; and breaking down all the barriers that hold anyone back from achieving their dreams.

We’ve spent a year and a half bringing together millions of people from every corner of our country to say with one voice that we believe that the American Dream is big enough for everyone – for people of all races and religions, for men and women, for immigrants, for LGBT people, and people with disabilities.

Our responsibility as citizens is to keep doing our part to build that better, stronger, fairer America we seek. And I know you will.

I am so grateful to stand with all of you.

I want to thank Tim Kaine and Anne Holton for being our partners on this journey. It gives me great hope and comfort to know that Tim will remain on the front-lines of our democracy, representing Virginia in the Senate.

To Barack and Michelle Obama: Our country owes you an enormous debt of gratitude for your graceful, determined leadership, and so do I.

To Bill, Chelsea, Marc, Charlotte, Aidan, our brothers, and our entire family, my love for you means more than I can ever express.

You crisscrossed this country on my behalf and lifted me up when I needed it most –- even four-month old Aidan traveling with his mom.

I will always be grateful to the creative, talented, dedicated men and women at our headquarters in Brooklyn and across our country who poured their hearts into this campaign. For you veterans, this was a campaign after a campaign – for some of you, this was your first campaign ever. I want each of you to know that you were the best campaign anyone has had.

To all the volunteers, community leaders, activists, and union organizers who knocked on doors, talked to neighbors, posted on Facebook - even in secret or in private: Thank you.

To everyone who sent in contributions as small as $5 and kept us going, thank you.

And to all the young people in particular, I want you to hear this. I’ve spent my entire adult life fighting for what I believe in. I’ve had successes and I’ve had setbacks -– sometimes really painful ones. Many of you are at the beginning of your careers. You will have successes and setbacks, too.

This loss hurts. But please, please never stop believing that fighting for what’s right is worth it. It’s always worth it. And we need you keep up these fights now and for the rest of your lives.

To all the women, and especially the young women, who put their faith in this campaign and in me, I want you to know that nothing has made me prouder than to be your champion.

I know that we still have not shattered that highest glass ceiling. But some day someone will -– hopefully sooner than we might think right now.

And to all the little girls watching right now, never doubt that you are valuable and powerful and deserving of every chance and opportunity in the world.

Finally, I am grateful to our country for all it has given me.

I count my blessings every day that I am an American. And I still believe, as deeply as I ever have, that if we stand together and work together, with respect for our differences, strength in our convictions, and love for this nation -– our best days are still ahead of us.

You know I believe we are stronger together and will go forward together. And you should never be sorry that you fought for that.

Scripture tells us: “Let us not grow weary in doing good, for in due season, we shall reap, if we do not lose heart.”

My friends, let us have faith in each other. Let us not grow weary. Let us not lose heart. For there are more seasons to come and there is more work to do.

I am incredibly honored and grateful to have had this chance to represent all of you in this consequential election. May God bless you and god bless the United States of America.
