A hot and steamy, firm kiss.
“So, why am I on the floor?” Stiles asked, pointing out the obvious question that Lydia was having fun not answering. “Don’t you think that as your boyfriend I’ve earned the privilege of sleeping on your bed?”
Lydia pulled the covers up over her waist and looked over the edge of the bed at him. “No. I’m a defenseless girl,” she explained. “You might try to take advantage of me.”
Stiles turned his head to meet her eyes. “If anything, you’ll take advantage of me.”
Lydia’s lips pursed and she fell back onto the bed, laying down and ignoring him again.
Stiles scoffed. “Well, it’s true.”
“It was still rude and hurt my feelings,” she said, filling every syllable with sass.
She saw Stiles sit up out of the corner of her eye, and she stared even harder at the ceiling as he watched her. “Can I please get on the bed, Lydia?” he asked softly, but still with that irritated hint. As if he didn’t have time for games.
Lydia twisted her lips to the side for an exaggerated second, then shrugged. “Nope. Still don’t think so.” And with that, she turned on her side, facing away from him.
"But I love you,” he added to his point.
She smiled. “Everyone loves me.”
“I would take on a werewolf for you.”
“What is that, like the werewolf version of Bruno Mars?”
“Gonna have to do better.”
Stiles took a moment. “I can kiss you like a real woman.”
Her eyes fell closed at his ridiculous resort. “Now you’re not even trying.” She reached up and turned off the lamp on her side table.
It was silent for a few moments, but then the bed shifted from behind her. The covers raised. Then a new warmth radiated heat next to her. Lydia turned just her head. “No, Stiles.”
“Get over it.”
A shocked gasp came from her throat, and she rolled over to say something. But when she turned on her back, Stiles smoothly moved right on top of her, pinning her down. And just before she could scold him again - as she did so often - he leaned down and pressed his lips to hers.
She was caught off guard again and this time just froze. Stiles smiled against her lips and kissed her harder. His body sunk down onto hers, and her hands involuntarily hooked over the front of his shoulders.
Her breath was harder to find, and all teasing and denies were gone from her mind. All she could focus on was Stiles moaning quietly above her. His arm snaked under her back and he pulled her up against him, tilting his head and stringing his lips down across her jaw.
She opened her eyes, blinking away the blur. “Alright,” she sighed, forcing herself to roll her eyes. “You can sleep on the bed.”
Stiles kissed her once again, but pulled back before she could melt into it. “I thought you’d come around.”
Lydia shoved him off her. “‘Cocky’ isn’t a good color on you.”
When she turned on her side once again, Stiles was right there, matching every curve of her back with his chest. “No,” he agreed, wrapping his arms around her middle. He snuggled his face next to hers, resting his cheek against her warm ear. “But strawberry blonde is.”
