I definitely recommend this site to anyone currently going through the college admissions process or who is in college and needs some guidance. This website is fantastic and provides free guides (mobile downloads too!), advice, college class trials, and much more!

On the campus of @Spelman_College, Tomika DePriest @Mikkdepriest, hosted @SistersofToday last year, during our #Leadership Conference for #Girls. This year, she will educate us through, “Who Do You Think You Are?” Your Image on Social Media workshop, during the conference.

Tomika DePriest is Senior Advisor to the President, Strategic Initiatives, at Spelman College.  She serves as a member of the President’s cabinet, and previously, served as the Executive Director of Communications with 
overall responsibility for branding, media relations, executive communications, publications, and interactive/web communications.  She led an award-winning team that showcased Spelman’s role as a world-class institution with a consistent track record of producing extraordinary leaders, community servants and change agents. Bulldog Reporter, PRSA-Georgia, PR News, @AABJorg - Atlanta Association of Black Journalists represent some of the organizations that have recognized her team with awards for excellence. In 2013, named Spelman College No. 16 in its ranking of Top Social Media in Higher Education. 

Prior to Spelman, the #Detroit native worked in on-air promotions and web marketing for Turner Broadcasting Systems, Inc., and in corporate communications at Southern Company, where she served as team lead for the launch of the company’s first official intranet.   A former journalist, her byline has graced the pages of PR News, Black Enterprise, Dollars & Sense, @UpscaleMagazine, Atlanta Tribune, and  She has also published essays in African American Women: An Historical Encyclopedia, Hip Hop Encyclopedia and African Americans in Education.

Tomika holds a bachelor’s degree in English from Spelman and a master’s degree in Africana Women’s Studies from Clark Atlanta University, where she was the first graduate of the program.  She is a member of Phi Beta Delta Honor Society for International Scholars, Beta Omega Chapter; and serves as an advisor to the Black Public Relations Society-Student Chapter.
