I know, you think my generation doesn’t give two fucks about anyone else but themselves. but honestly why should we. everyone we loved left us for someone better, someone with longer legs or bigger bank balances. everyone we respected disappointed us by weaving us in a myriad of lies. everyone we idolised betrayed us. in a generation where everyone is letting everyone down, everyone is too stressed or too anxious, do you except us to care about other people. do you expect us to protect people from drowning when we dont even know how to swim. do you expect us to save lives when we want to end our own. do you expect us to love when our own hearts have been shattered into pieces. do you actually except us to give fucks about anyone but ourselves.
sometimes i wish i could stop feeling lonely. especially on bright summer days with clear blue skies and birds chirping outside my window. sometimes i wish i could call you up and tell you how much i miss you especially when the monsoons arrive, the thunder is louder outside and the skies are darker than usual. sometimes i wish i could kiss you and tell you you’re better than my glass of hot chocolate especially on the freezing cold winter day with bitter winds and dull skies. sometimes i wish i could tell you i love you especially on days when the beautiful butter flies circle around the pink flowers that just bloomed and the skies are some unusual shade of ombre.
It’s never possible to ‘love someone too strongly.’ Because of this, make it a point of giving it your all. You will not ‘run out’. There is no storage capacity. Love is infinite.
To love is an amazing feeling. It’s so simple. It’s so timeless.
It benefits not only oneself but everyone else around you.
It costs nothing to give and nothing to receive. No fines or credits. No due dates or taxes.
It is unlimited, it is free, and it is stronger than all darkness; so give it generously.
