stripping is not a career

I am human before I am concept.
Therefore humanity stands before any other aspect. Skin color, religion, sexuality, career, wealth, gender, etc.. If we strip these attributes and stop immediately thinking of someone’s reputation over character, or stereotypes over geniality, we would all be the same. As humans, we share a beating heart, a brain with limitless capabilities, and a spirit who savors youthfulness to feed to our souls. And I strongly believe if more human beings tried harder to empathize with the souls of the hopeless, to fill every wound with kindness, and to not only show, but feel deep respect when looking into the eyes of a stranger, we would live in a much different world.

Capcom, can we please give Klavier Gavin his own game? My precious prosecutor has been so overlooked and mistreated by your company. Yes he’s fun to bump into in DD and SoJ, but I want to know what happened after and during AJ. I want to know what he’s thinking and feeling. Because you stripped him of his family and his friends and possibly his music career, so you owe him a game.

Im stu(DYING) for my GCSE's and in all honesty I'm considering becoming a stripper, school is too much

“stu(DYING)” I’m laughing. This is the best thing I’ve heard, haha.

But, don’t do that. Quitting (and stripping) seems like the best option right now but it won’t do you well in the future. Trust me, stick through this shit and you’ll be so proud of yourself when you get good grades and move a step forward to your dream career - unless stripping is what you want to do, haha. xx

look hyuk can do what the fuck he wants and i love that little dinner roll but im still salty about his nose (not bc of him but the principle of it all).

is there one bitch out in the kpop industry who will ever love their big ass landing strip nose and continue making their nose endowed crew feel better for their entire career? who knows

Destiny Exotic Lore: Bad Juju

Bad Juju was one of the many personal inventions of the once esteemed Warlock Toland, the Shattered. Like the Shadow Price auto rifle and (supposedly) the Murmur fusion rifle, Bad Juju is well known for its destructive ability. However, unlike either of the two weapons stated above, this weapon seems to have some kind of semi-sentient lust for death and destruction. The frame of the weapon is that of a stripped and modified scout rifle most likely used by Toland during his career with the Vanguard. Attached to the frame are suspicious looking bones that seem to emanate Darkness, adding to the destructive capabilities of the weapon. Although the origin of the bones is not known, several who research Toland’s descent into madness (at great risk to their reputations and careers) assert that these bones were relics on an unborn Ahamkara exterminated by the Great Hunt. This would explain its seemingly supernatural capabilities. Additionally, Toland sealed suspicious looking runes into the side of the weapon. The primary function of the runes binds the bones to the frame and provides power to the weapon itself from some unknown source, however they also appear to remove the firing limiter on the action, allowing for full auto fire, and provide a stream of super energy to user after killing targets with the weapon. This weapon is one of many on the Vanguard’s “watch list”: Guardians who are known to use this weapon are observed carefully whenever possible (in the Crucible, etc.) in order to prevent any incidents like the birth of Dregen Yor. So far, nothing has been observed, but some say that it is the weapon itself that should be watched carefully, not necessarily the Guardians who use it.

Trivia:

  • The frame of this weapon is actually a scout rifle frame of the kind used by Saterrienne Rapier and Crusader I.
  • The triangular symbols present on the weapon’s frame can also be seen on the ironsights for Thorn.

Benito Jacovitti, splash page from a “Joe Balordo” strip in Linus, 1982.

I can’t recall ever seeing those kinds of three-dimensional word balloons before; it’s a great way of adding depth to the image, of organizing it so that it reads as coherently as a page cut into panels.

Jacovitti was one of the twentieth century’s most imaginative and productive cartoonists, comparable with Franquin in France/Belgium, Vázquez or Ibáñez in Spain, or some unholy combination of Walker-Browne and Robert Crumb (which I guess is Don Martin; but bigger) in the US. A children’s humor cartoonist for most of his career (his major strip is Cocco Bill, a baroquely satirical cowboy strip, Lucky Luke on acid), by the 80s he had taken the European underground on board and was letting his overdriven slapstick-and-puns style drift into scatological and sexual humor, but the driving sensibility was still always the vaudevillian anything-for-a-laugh ethos.

Edwina Dumm (1893-1990) was the first woman in America to be a full-time editorial cartoonist, and also drew the strip “Cap Stubbs and Tippie” for six decades. Further, her career as an editorial cartoonist began in 1915 – five years before women were given the vote in America. Suffrage was a common theme in her Spotlight Sketches, a full-page feature showcasing her cartoons.

She cartooned for the Columbus Monitor from its first edition on August 7, 1915, until the paper folded in July 1917. She then moved to New York City where she created the comic strip “Cap Stubbs and Tippie,” which she drew until her retirement in 1966. Her love of animals, especially dogs, was reflected in the cartoons she drew for several magazines and the books and sheet music she illustrated.

Dumm worked very fast, reputedly penciling a daily strip in an hour, a speed that most of us envy! In the late 1940s, she drew the covers for sheet music by her roommate, Helen Slater, who did both music and lyrics. Her weekly dog page ran in both Life and the London publication The Tatler. During the 1940s, she also contributed features to the Wonder Woman comic book. She was the first woman to receive the Golden Key Award from the National Cartoonist Society Hall of Fame in 1978.

After retiring from her from her comic strip, she remained active with watercolor paintings, photography and helping the elderly at her New York City apartment building when she was well into her eighties.

Muhammad Ali passes away at the age of 74

Muhammad Ali passed away today at the age of 74, throughout his life he lived as a true inspiration, a man who fought for the sake of justice, what he believed in. Muhammad Ali not only broke records in the boxing ring as Heavy Weight World Champion, but also fought just as much for Civil Rights, his freedom to practice Islam and his identity as a Muslim, and the Anti-War Movement during the Vietnam War - even at the cost of prison, his World Champion title being stripped and being denied licenses and visas to continue his boxing career by the US government. Through all of that, he persevered and overcame his adversities, the best to ever do it in the world of boxing, and truly a champion in and outside of the ring.

watch them strip carol of her military and nasa career
i bet she’s gunna be a military brat who just happened to be at the wrong place at the wrong time
watch them brush away her fathers attitude as ‘tough love’
watch them turn the captain marvel title into a joke bc ~lol r u even old enough to make captain
watch them use her binary powers to make her ‘violent’ and 'unstable’ and in need of controlling
bc we really need more stories about dangerous deranged women :/
and i bet it’ll be a man who shows her how to be ~true to herself~ and control her powers
i bet i would rather gouge out my eyes than watch kid carol bc marvel is still convinced their female characters are supposed to be eye candy as opposed to actual characters with stories worth telling
