I cannot begin to express how important it is to focus on yourself. I was once a lonely person who thought no one wanted to have me in their life. Through all of those doubts and my lack of motivation, I found myself stuck. I found myself starring at the ceiling day in and out wondering what my purpose was on this planet. Then one day it clicked. My purpose wasn’t only to help others, but it was to help myself. There’s nothing more admirable then being able to pull yourself from your deepest root and flourish into the most amazing person that you can be. It takes time and patience, but its so rewarding for you. You find that people start loving you again, your depressive state begins to subside, and you start seeing the beauty that this earth and people have to offer.
I am my greatest masterpiece. I have put years of blood, sweat and tears into creating myself, becoming the woman I’ve dreamed of being since I was a little girl. I will not let some silly, careless boy break and shatter all of my progress.
They can only break you if you let them - Jess Amelia
Sometimes ‘focused’ looks like you not answering your phone, saying no more, disciplining yourself more, shaking off doubt, killing your fears, strengthening your craft more, waking up early, exiting drama quicker and disappearing from social circles without apology.
