strawberry balsamic salad

My never-ending love story with balsamic: An arugula and microgreens salad with cherry tomatoes, avocado, quinoa and balsamic black pepper roasted strawberries with balsamic glaze

My favourite pairing of arugula with pear has been superceded by the arugula and grilled strawberries duo. The spiciness of the arugula needs - you may think this sounds dramatic, and it is - the sweetness of the grilled strawberries to compliment it. My two cents on this amazing salad:

  • Make the balsamic glaze amazing by reducing the leftover liquid from the roasted strawberries instead of just normal balsamic vinegar
  • If you’re not vegan, have this as a breakfast, brunch or lunch salad with poached egg…this needs to be done. And send me a picture while you’re at it.
