Something a little less horror and a bit more “dark fantasy” or something. It was just an idea that I had, and here it is. I rather like how the surface turned out. I might (in other words: I will) use this technique again to work on my future pieces. Have to wonder what to do next, though… hmm…
Yeah, so those strokes I had? They damaged my short term memory and this is how studying (especially memorizing things) feels like when you have that particular handicap. Truly lovely, that’s all I am saying.
And no, despite the rumors to contrary, I am not dead. Just very, very, very busy. So Art comes as a bit of an afterthought. This one was pretty quick, I did it today in about four or five hours.

Here you go! Bones, bones, bones, and bones. With some skulls, ribs, spines and such.
Now for the really observant ones: Yes, the scale is fucked up. The figure has something like 450 human beings in it. But that’s just a guess, let’s say it has around 500 humans’ worth of bones in it. BUT, there’s no way it should be that big on that number of people in it, should it?
Wellllll, y'see, what’s the point of making the scale of the bones realistic if it just looks like a guy made out of dust, huh? So I decided that for the sake of clarity he needed to be clearly made out of bones - so the scale is a bit off, if you’re looking for realism.
But, seriously, he’s made out of floating bones. I clearly don’t give a fuck about realism, and neither should you.
This is a quick and alternative view of the model I am working on. It’s not a refined piece. There’s zero fixing of details and minor stuff. Basically it lacks all the final polish on the piece. Other than that, it’s more or less ready. The model is fine and the textures are mostly done, and so forth.
Tomorrow I’ll finish the final piece and I’ll post it on Wednesday. Meanwhile, I’ll start working on something else. I don’t know yet… I do have some ideas, though. Too many to list, really.

Just in time! I almost didn’t make it. I promised an update for today and I really had to hurry to give you anything. I had the option of just posting “sorry, can’t make it” but I decided to instead render you a view of my model that I am working on.
This guy is going to be the focus of my new piece, right now this is just a direct render from C4D with no modifications on it, and the model isn’t even done.
Furthermore, for size/perspective you can think of my previous piece “The Seer” and figure out from there how big of a part of the final piece his face will play. Which is to say, it is a very minor element.
Well, hope you like of my unusual content and enjoy the render as it stands, even without knowing what’s going to come. The final piece will be ready on Saturday as usual. I might (might!) update with another render before that, but I’m not promising. It does take time to set up lights and such. Instead I might need to spend that time on the final piece.
