IT’S TRUE, O MY HEART, IT IS TRUE.

do u ever think about how lance and keith’s weapons of choice are juxtaposed with their personalities because i sure do

keith is the loner of team voltron. he doesn’t pick up on some social cues, he lived on his own for a while, he doesn’t often get close to people emotionally, and he’s distant with people he doesn’t know well. and yet. his bayard is a blade which (generally) is used for close combat and being physically near his opponent. it’s a strangely intimate weapon for someone who likes to keep his distance from people.

on the other hand lance is definitely a people person!!! he’s super extroverted, outgoing and amicable, and he’s not afraid to connect and make friends with the people that they meet. and YET!!!! he’s the sharpshooter!!! his weapon is a literal sniper rifle which has to be somewhat removed from the situation, out of the spotlight!!

it’s just so interesting because the bayard takes a form that fits best with the paladin and if it was a perfect match to their personalities i would think that keith and lance’s weapons would be switched? but nope, lance is the sharpshooter and keith wields a sword. i can’t help but wonder why the writers chose those to be their specific weapons

My heart goes out to the parents driving home without their children. To the teenagers with an empty desk beside them at school today. To the best friends who turn to make a joke to someone, only to remember they’re not there. To the teachers who call out the register, only to stumble on a name. My heart goes out today to all those affected by this horrific, barbaric and heartbreaking attack in Manchester.

there’s a rule about taking Doctor Who seriously and it’s that to take it seriously you need to not take it too seriously

this show doesn’t take itself seriously, no matter how dark it might get at times

this isn’t some fucking gritty Edgelord show, this is a show watched by millions of children about hope and belief and trying to help people even when it seems hopeless and even when it doesn’t work, we should never hope that anyone in it stays dead, especially not anyone that represents so much for so many

above all we should never as older fans want anything for it that would take away from the enjoyment of the younger fans

you can’t treat it the same way you would a lot of other shows. its demographic is anyone who is willing to believe in it, anyone of any age.

this is a show about an idiot in a magical box who fixes things with a screwdriver and a belief in the goodness of people

an idiot who gets into ridiculous situations that are often also dire, who saves the day always but only uses violence as a last resort, who tries to win with words and cleverness first

over the last few years it’s been one of the only shows on television still trying to tell a hopeful story in a world obsessed with Edgy Cynical Realism, while never shying away from how harsh the universe can be

it is a show about possibility where almost any thing or person or story that can be imagined could be plausible (hello, people being killed by plastic inflatable chairs, a small box being infinitely huge on the inside, a lesbian being saved by her magical star girlfriend)

it is a show created by lifelong fans, it is a constant love letter to itself with stupid little in jokes and nostalgic trips, and above all it is a message and lesson of hope and kindness

take it or leave it but that is what it will or at least should always be

Have I mentioned how much I enjoy the thought of Harry and Draco back at Hogwarts years after they leave? If not, let me take a few moments of your time to elucidate:

  • Banter
  • Inter-house rivalry at the head table
    • inter-house rivalry between classes
  • Knowing (memorizing) each other’s schedule and casually bringing it up in conversation–with or outside of each other
  • Seeming like a married couple to everyone else but not realizing it themselves
  • Intense quidditch debates in the staff room
    • students like to hang around outside because they’re always loud and always hilarious (and sometimes often result in creative new insults to add to their repertoire)
  • Grading together in one of their quarters and snarking over ridiculous student answers
  • Quibbling over teaching methods to the point of pedantry just to be annoying to the other
  • Trying the “I’ve never been more shocked by student behaviour in my life” approach on students who misbehave, none of whom believe it because they’ve heard stories of Harry and Draco’s time at Hogwarts (usually by the other in classes, ex. Draco climbing a tree because he wanted Harry’s attention)
  • Patrolling the hallways over Christmas hols
    • “Here. This is the statue Flitwick said he’s caught kids fooling around behind. Go check it out.”
    • “Why do I have to go?”
    • “What are you, scared?”
    • “… Fine, you absolute tosser. …Woah, Malfoy, come check this out.”
    • “What? What is it?”
    • “Just get back here and you’ll see.”
    • “I’m not going to fall for your tricks, Potter. I’m not going back there.”
    • “Malfoy….”
    • Fine.”
      • They end up necking behind the statue like students
      • It becomes a repeat occurrence

I had the immense pleasure of commissioning @merwild to draw my hot mess of an Inquisitor, and am so, so pleased with the result. I mean look at this beautiful thing here! If you ever get the chance, I highly recommend you take it; Coco is professional, super skilled (clearly), and fast.

Ahhh the Captain America movies give me life, Fran. Like I could watch them around the clock and never get over how great they are. They aren't even just good superhero movies. 1 is a great war movie (so grateful the creators of Wonder Woman seemed to learn from that). 2 is a spy thriller. And Civil War is just everything the Avengers movies should have been. I could yell about it all day. And BUCKY. Cap and Bucky... I cry. So. Much. Have you ever considered a KiriBaku Stucky AU? I have.

Have you ever considered a KiriBaku Stucky AU”  BOI have I, that’s like the most fitting and most heartwrenching AU I’ve ever thought about anon you got no clue you know what here have some shitty doodles to go with it too

Kirishima’s backstory makes him a great Steve - he used to be weak but couldn’t stand back and mind his business anyway, picked fights left and right even though he always lost them, wanted to be a hero even though his body didn’t let him - Steve’s a definitely more extreme case, but Kiri fits amazingly in the role.

As far as their past goes, Bakugou’s a bit of a loose fit for Bucky (even though you could shorten Bakugou into Bucky if you really wanted to… lmao), but moving up in the story their shared history is… weirdly fitting??

Getting kidnapped to be turned into a villain? Kirishima going against orders to go save him? That’s catfa’s plot in a nutshell, it’s amazing - and later on with Bucky being a hero seen by the whole world as a villain, that’s very Bakugou too. I can see Bakugou fit in the plotline of Bucky struggling with what he’s done as the Winter Soldier a lot too, and Kiri following him around the world and doing anything to save him and always, always, always being on his side? Refusing to fight him at the end of catws? Boi I die, if it didn’t include so much angst this AU would be my favorite thing, I’m not even gonna lie - ah, the Winter Soldier being into fire arms and Steve’s weapon of choice being a shield work amazingly for Bakugou and Kirishima too, don’t they? The bakushima make a perfect team in the same way the stucky do, too!!
